[SET COMMENTS]
Arcanine is an excellent physical wall that can also counter some special attackers like Magnezone, Chandelure, and Aegislash. Intimidate combined with Arcanine's defensive utility in Will-O-Wisp and Burn Up lets it take physical hits from the likes of Galarian Darmanitan, non-Swords Dance Haxorus, and Choice Band Crustle. Will-O-Wisp is used to cripple physical attackers such as Diggersby as well as Sawk and Avalugg while also breaking their Sturdy. Arcanine uses Morning Sun to deal with Pokemon that may otherwise overwhelm it, like Choice Band Haxorus and Golisopod. Burn Up KOes Pokemon like Galarian Darmanitan and offensive Rillaboom and also removes Arcanine's Fire typing so that it is no longer weak to Rock-, Ground-, and Water-type attacks, which proves to be useful in matchups against non-Lum Berry Crustle, non-Swords Dance Rhyperior, and Adamant Choice Band Dracovish. Snarl is used to lower the Special Attack of Pokemon like Magnezone, Galarian Weezing, and Chandelure. Flamethrower deals consistent damage against threats Arcanine needs to hit more than once such as defensive Rillaboom, Taunt Zeraora, and Corviknight. Sitrus Berry gives Arcanine a source of immediate recovery to aid it in dealing with Choice Band Mold Breaker Haxorus and Assault Vest Kyurem so that it doesn't get knocked out after the first hit. Maximum Defense investment alongside 72 HP EVs with a Bold nature allows Arcanine to survive a Choice Band-boosted Earthquake from Jolly Galarian Darmanitan. 136 Speed EVs ensure that Arcanine is faster than Modest base 80 Speed Pokemon and below, such as Choice Specs Chandelure, offensive Venusaur, and Adamant Choice Band Dracovish and Diggersby. The leftover 48 EVs are invested into Special Attack to maximize the damage of Burn Up and Snarl. When using Flamethrower over Snarl, a spread of 244 HP / 136 Def / 8 SpA / 120 Spe should be used, which ensures Arcanine will always survive a Choice Specs-boosted Hyper Beam from Modest Magnezone while still surviving an Earthquake from Jolly Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, though it comes at the expense of no longer outspeeding fully invested base 80 Speed Pokemon.

Generally, Arcanine will find itself using Will-O-Wisp against physical attackers, although there are some matchups where this isn't ideal. Against non-Lum Berry Crustle, Choice Band Dracovish, and Choice Band Diggersby, Arcanine should use Burn Up to rid itself of its Fire typing followed by Will-O-Wisp and Morning Sun; this is because Burn Up is 100% accurate and achieves the same effect of halving damage as using Will-O-Wisp would, so you don't run the risk of losing on account of a miss. Will-O-Wisp is also useful against special attackers like Magnezone, since it breaks its Sturdy so that Burn Up can then KO it. Will-O-Wisp also chips down Aegislash so that Burn Up can KO it after six turns of burn damage without risking the activation of its Weakness Policy. Against Choice Specs Magnezone, Arcanine should use Snarl to both break Sturdy and ensure that Arcanine will survive any hit. Pokemon like Sylveon, Primarina, and Choice Band Snorlax appreciate Arcanine's ability to handle hyper offensive threats like Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Adamant Choice Band Dracovish, and Rillaboom. In turn, these Pokemon help cover Arcanine's weakness to specially offensive threats like opposing Primarina, Hydreigon, and Kyurem. Arcanine is susceptible to Water-type Pokemon, so Grass-types like Whimsicott, defensive Rillaboom, and Ferrothorn are good choices that cover threats like Urshifu-R, Rotom-W, and Choice Scarf Dracovish. Arcanine covers their weaknesses to Ice-, Fire-, and Bug-types like Avalugg, Chandelure, and Durant in return. Arcanine struggles a bit when it comes to certain Encore and Taunt users like Primarina, Aromatisse, Kommo-o, and Corviknight if not running Flamethrower, so it appreciates the assistance provided by hyper offensive Pokemon like Choice Specs Porygon-Z, Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Salazzle, and Choice Specs Gengar. In return, Arcanine helps cover their weaknesses to bulky offense and Sturdy Pokemon like Assault Vest Azumarill, non-Swords Dance Rhyperior, Magnezone, Sawk, and Avalugg.

Arcanine is a an excellent physical wall that can also counter some special attackers. Intimidate is Arcanine’s only viable ability, giving it an advantage against physical attackers at the start of a battle which lets it live physical hits from the likes of Darmanitan-Galar, Haxorus, and Crustle. Arcanine uses Morning Sun to deal with Pokemon that may otherwise overwhelm it, like Choice Band Haxorus, Weezing-Galar i would use this as only an example with Snarl, since just Burn Up + Morning Sun loses, and Golisopod. Will-O-Wisp is used to burn Pokemon like Haxorus, Sawk, and Avalugg, which is useful for lowering their damage output and breaking Sturdy. Burn Up is a powerful Fire-type move that is used to KO Pokemon like Darmanitan-Galar, Corviknight i would remove this bc you lose to Corvi w/o Flamethrower, and Excadrill, and also removes Arcanine’s Fire typing so that it is no longer weak to Rock-, Ground-, and Water-type attacks from the likes of Crustle, Conkeldurr, and Golisopod. Using Burn Up will also remove resistances to Bug, Fairy, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Steel type attacks, so exercise caution when deciding wether to use Burn Up against Pokemon like Sylveon and Cinderace. Snarl is used to lower the SpA of Pokemon like Sylveon, Weezing-Galar, and Duraludon while also dealing damage to handle Trick users like Chandelure and Rotom-Heat. Flamethrower deals solid damage without sacrificing the STAB on Fire moves to handle threats you need to hit more than once such as Mimikyu, specially defensive Corviknight max hp tanks 1 burn up too, and Choice Band Grimmsnarl. Sitrus Berry gives Arcanine a source of immediate recovery to aid it in dealing with Aegislash, Weezing-Galar, and Chandelure without having to resort to using Morning Sun repeatedly. Air Balloon forces Pokemon like Choice Band Diggersby and Mamoswine Diggersby more relevant imo to use moves that Arcanine can stall out. 160 HP alongside 248 Defense EVs almost guarantees Arcanine can withstand an Earthquake from Jolly Choice Band Excadrill, as well as gives Arcanine the best odds to survive a Choice Band Darmanitan-G's Earthquake. 100 Speed with a Timid nature allows Arcanine to outspeed Adamant Excadrill and Jolly Choice Band Dracovish.

I would add a usage tip on how to beat corviknight, since you have to burn it, have flamethrower, and not let it outplay you for a number of turns.

Physically frailer Pokemon like Sylveon, Primarina, and Snorlax appreciate Arcanine's ability to handle threats like non-Curse Mimikyu, Darmanitan-Galar, Choice Band Dracovish, and Bewear. In turn, these Pokemon help cover Arcanine’s weakness to specially offensive threats like opposing Primarina, Hydreigon, Blastoise, and Kyurem. Arcanine is weak to Water-, Ground-, and Rock-type Pokemon, so Grass-types like Whimsicott, Rillaboom, and Ferrothorn are good choices that cover threats like Primarina, Rotom-Wash, Gastrodon, and Terrakion while Arcanine covers their weaknesses to Ice-, Fire-, and Bug-types like Avalugg, Chandelure, and Durant.

Arcanine uses Morning Sun to deal with Pokemon that may otherwise overwhelm it, like Choice Band Haxorus and Golisopod. Will-O-Wisp is used to burn Pokemon like cripple Physical attackers such as Diggersby, as well as Sawk and Avalugg whilst also breaking their Sturdy. Arcanine uses Morning Sun to deal with Pokemon that may otherwise overwhelm it, like Choice Band Haxorus and Golisopod. (Discuss moves in the order that they are in the set.) Burn Up is a powerful Fire-type move that is used to KO Pokemon like Darmanitan-Galar Galarian Darmanitan and Excadrill, offensive Rillaboom, (our Excadrill chances aren't exactly fantastic, plus it's not really much of a thing anymore) and also removes Arcanine’s Fire typing so that it is no longer weak to Rock-, Ground-, and Water-type attacks, which proves to be useful in matchups against non-Shell Smash Crustle, non-Swords Dance Rhyperior, and Adamant Choice Band Dracovish. from the likes of Crustle, Conkeldurr, and Golisopod. Using Burn Up will also remove resistances to Bug, Fairy, Fire, Grass, Ice, and Steel type attacks, so exercise caution when deciding wether to use Burn Up against Pokemon like Sylveon and Cinderace. (Sylveon matchup is super unreliable, burnt Choice Band Conkeldurr which runs Sheer Force can't 2HKO with 5 hits of Rock Blast so it'd need ridiculous RNG with crits, and Cinderace mention is a bit of a :mike: moment.) Snarl is used to lower the SpA of Pokemon like Sylveon, Weezing-Galar, and Duraludon while also dealing damage to handle Trick users like Chandelure and Rotom-Heat. Magnezone, Galarian Weezing, and Chandelure. (Sylveon matchup bad anyway, Duraludon not relevant, and Rotom-H just clicks rest.) Flamethrower deals solid damage without sacrificing the STAB on Fire moves to handle consistent damage against threats you Arcanine needs to hit more than once such as defensive Rillaboom, Corviknight, Taunt / Substitute Zeraora, and Choice Band Grimmsnarl, Corviknight. (Better examples, and against non-Taunt / Subsitutute Zeraora you're actually fine.) though against certain Corviknight sets with considerable special bulk, you will need to burn them first, then carefully outplay them by getting them to waste multiple uses of Roost, since Flamethrower and Burn Up alone aren't quite strong enough to just KO Corviknight. (This belongs in the second paragraph as part of complicated matchups.) Sitrus Berry gives Arcanine a source of immediate recovery to aid it in dealing with Aegislash, Weezing-Galar, and Chandelure Choice Band Haxorus and Assault Vest Kyurem (Funnily enough, none of these examples force Sitrus Berry. Aegislash doesn't get us low enough to activate without drops (in which case we lose anyway), Galarian Weezing also doesn't get us low enough, and we outspeed Chandelure.) without having to resort to using Morning Sun repeatedly. Air Balloon forces Pokemon like Choice Band Diggersby and Diggersby to use moves that Arcanine can stall out. (We now outspeed Diggersby and Excadrill isn't relevant. We can discuss it as an unslashed option, but I don't think it's worth much consideration over Sitrus.) 160 HP alongside 248 Defense EVs almost guarantees Arcanine can withstand an Earthquake from Jolly Choice Band Excadrill, as well as gives Arcanine the best odds to survive a Choice Band Darmanitan-G's Earthquake. 100 Speed with a Timid nature allows Arcanine to outspeed Adamant Excadrill and Jolly Choice Band Dracovish. 72 HP alongside 252 Def with a Bold nature allow Arcanine to always live Jolly Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan's Earthquake. 136 Spe ensures Arcanine is faster than Modest base 80 Pokemon and below, such as Choice Specs Chandelure, Offensive Venusaur, and Adamant Choice Band Dracovish and Diggersby. The leftover 48 EVs are invested into Spa to maximize Burn Up and Snarl damage. When using Flamethrower over Snarl, a spread of 244 HP / 136 Def / 8 Spa / 120 Spe should be used, which ensures Arcanine will always live Modest Choice Specs Magnezone's Hyper Beam.

Generally, Arcanine will find itself using Will-O-Wisp against Physical attackers, however there are some matchups where this isn't ideal. Against Dracovish, Arcanine should use Burn Up to rid itself of its Fire-typing to only then be followed by Will-O-Wisp and Morning Sun respectively, which will defeat any non-Choice Scarf Adamant sets. The same principle applies against Crustle, allowing Arcanine to defeat Choice Band variants. Against Magnezone, Snarl should be used to ensure Arcanine lives Choice Specs Hyper Beam. If Arcanine is using Flamethrower over Snarl with the alternative EV spread, then Will-O-Wisp turn one is necessary to both break Sturdy and not risk Mirror Coat, only then to be followed by Burn Up. Physically frailer Pokemon like Sylveon, Primarina, and Choice Band Snorlax appreciate Arcanine's ability to handle threats like Darmanitan-Galar, Adamant Choice Band Dracovish, and Bewear Rillaboom. (Neither Primarina or Snorlax are particularly physically frail.) In turn, these Pokemon help cover Arcanine’s weakness to specially offensive threats like opposing Primarina, Hydreigon, Blastoise, and Kyurem. (Blastoise's relevance is questionable.) Arcanine is weak susceptible to Water-, Ground-, and Rock-type Pokemon, so Grass-types like Whimsicott, defensive Rillaboom, and Ferrothorn are good choices that cover threats like Primarina, Rotom-Wash, Shell Smash Crustle, and Gastrodon and Terrakion while Arcanine covers their weaknesses to Ice-, Fire-, and Bug-types like Avalugg, Chandelure, and Durant. (Add on to this slightly to outline its weakness to Water-types (mainly Urshifu-S and Primarina), as well as options to cover Special threats like Porygon-Z and Offensive Salazzle.)

Maximum Defense investment alongside 72 HP EVs with a Bold nature allows Arcanine to survive a Jolly Choice Band-boosted Earthquake from Galarian Darmanitan. When using Flamethrower over Snarl, a spread of 244 HP / 136 Def / 8 SpA / 120 Spe should be used, which ensures Arcanine will always survive a Modest Choice Specs Magnezone's Hyper Beam while still surviving an Earthquake from Jolly Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, though it comes at the expense of no longer outspeeding fully invested base 80 Speed Pokemon.
