[OVERVIEW]

* Deoxys-D is an unviable Pokemon in Ubers due to having too many flaws that seriously harm its only valuable niche as a bulky Spikes setter.
* Deoxys-D's seemingly excellent bulk, having base 160 Special Defense and Defense, is hindered greatly by its low base 50 HP, which makes it easily overwhelmed by attackers such as Primal Groudon and Necrozma-DM.
* It is extremely passive due to having below-average attacking stats, so it usually runs Toxic to make up for it and is thus very susceptible to Taunt.
* Deoxys-D also has a terrible defensive typing in Psychic, which lacks resistances, makes Deoxys-D vulnerable to all entry hazards and status, notably Toxic, and gives it common weaknesses to Ghost- and Dark-types and U-turn. Notably, Mega Gengar is able to trap and remove Deoxys-D with minimal effort.
* Because of these traits, Deoxys-D is almost completely outclassed by other bulky Spikes setters such as Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Klefki, all of which have better defensive typings and can check a larger range of threats, even when accounting for Deoxys-D's faster Taunt.
* Deoxys-D is a waste of a teamslot and should never be used on a serious team.

Moves
========

* Spikes allows Deoxys-D to support its team by wearing down grounded Pokemon on the switch.
* Recover increases Deoxys-D's longevity, giving Deoxys-D more opportunities to set up Spikes and use Toxic against an opposing Pokemon.
* Taunt stops many opposing entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn and Toxapex from setting up on it, and Taunt also stops some setup sweepers like Double Dance Necrozma-DM and Double Dance Primal Groudon from setting up as well as faster setup sweepers such as Swords Dance or Calm Mind Arceus formes and Mega Lucario if they switch in.
* Toxic gives Deoxys-D a way to damage opposing Pokemon that switch in on it, such as Ho-Oh and some support Arceus formes.

Set Details
========

* Maximum HP and 104 Defense EVs with a Bold nature prevent Deoxys-D from getting 2HKOed by mixed Primal Kyogre without Stealth Rock and Adamant Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike after Stealth Rock. 152 Speed EVs let Deoxys-D outspeed Adamant Double Dance Necrozma-DM so it can stop it from setting up.
* Pressure has a small yet useful benefit of being able to limit the number of times that Necrozma-DM and Ferrothorn use Sunsteel Strike and Gyro Ball,respectively, against Deoxys-D
* Leftovers gives Deoxys-D crucial passive recovery that can help it stay in longer against the opposing team.
* An EV spread of 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe with a Jolly nature can also be used to let Deoxys-D outspeed Adamant Zygarde before Power Construct, which allows it to use Toxic before Zygarde's Substitute, and potentially Speed tie with other base 90 Speed Pokemon. However, choosing this spread means sacrificing a lot of bulk that allows Deoxys-D to avoid getting 2HKOed by Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike.

Usage Tips
========

* Switch Deoxys-D in early-game to set up Spikes. If a slower and passive Pokemon such as Skarmory or Ferrothorn is switched into Deoxys-D, use Taunt so Deoxys-D can continue to set up.
* Deoxys-D's main priority is to use its bulk and relatively high Speed to set up Spikes and punish Defog users with Toxic. However, Deoxys-D itself should also worry about Toxic and entry hazards.
* Use Deoxys-D's free turns carefully, since its passivity and vulnerability to many common threats means it should stay in for a few turns at most.
* Set up Spikes whenever it is safe to do so. Deoxys-D's poor matchup against the majority of the tier makes setting up Spikes infrequent.
* Use Taunt whenever necessary. If you know that the opposing Pokemon, likely a setup sweeper, Defogger, or hazard setter, is slower than Deoxys-D, it is safest to use Taunt so Deoxys-D can set up Spikes without being threatened.
* If you predict that a faster Defog user, setup sweeper, or hazard setter will switch into Deoxys-D, either use Taunt to prevent the Pokemon from Defogging or setting up or use Toxic to wear down the Pokemon over time if it isn't immune to it.
* If possible, you can try to PP stall a Pokemon like Necrozma-DM with Pressure, which can help Deoxys-D's team be less worried about it breaking through.

Team Options
========

* Pokemon that can check Dark-types such as Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy are mandatory teammates. The former two can also provide cleric support for Deoxys-D.
* Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Yveltal can take out Ghost-types that threaten Deoxys-D, such as Lunala and Giratina. All of the aforementioned Pokemon greatly benefit from Spikes, as all of their checks, with the exception of Ho-Oh, are grounded and do not like to be worn down by Spikes damage.
* Since Mega Gengar and the Magic Bounce users Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie are the biggest threats to Deoxys-D, Pokemon that can check them such as Pursuit trappers, Fairy-types, and Steel-types are necessary. Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar and Alolan Muk threaten to OHKO Mega Gengar if it tries to switch out; Alolan Muk is notable in that it is only weak to Ground, which is not a coverage type that Mega Gengar typically runs. Fairy-types such as Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy can beat Mega Sableye, and Steel-types like Necrozma-DM can beat Mega Diancie. Strong Stealth Rock setters like Primal Groudon, Arceus-Fairy, and Dialga can set up Stealth Rock on Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie due to their ability to overpower them with super effective or strong neutral attacks. Specifically, Arceus-Fairy is a good check to Mega Sableye, and Primal Groudon and Dialga are good checks against Mega Diancie. These Pokemon can also form a hazard-stacking core with Deoxys-D.
* Pokemon that can switch into Toxic such as Necrozma-DM and Toxapex are very useful partners for Deoxys-D, as they can help keep Deoxys-D from being worn down continually.
* Setup sweepers and wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Primal Groudon, Mega Salamence, Double Dance Necrozma-DM, and Mega Lucario all greatly benefit from Spikes support, as it helps wear down many of the bulkier Pokemon that the sweepers might not be able to take out without support and make landing OHKOs easier.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
==============

* Stealth Rock is an option to let Deoxys-D use its free turns to set up multiple entry hazards for its team. However, choosing this amplifies Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome, and many other Stealth Rock setters such as Primal-Groudon and Dialga do this better, while Spikes is almost unique to Deoxys-D, so Stealth Rock isn't usually a good option.
* Ice Beam threatens to 2HKO Mega Salamence, Rayquaza, and Zygarde-C and also helps prevent Deoxys-D from being completely shut down by Taunt. However, this will only threaten them on the switch and does not do much damage to Pokemon that aren't weak to it because of Deoxys-D's lackluster Special Attack.
* Magic Coat punishes Pokemon that attempt to set up hazards or inflict Deoxys-D with status by deflecting it back at the opposing Pokemon. However, Magic Coat is reliant on correct prediction to work, and failure to predict correctly can lead to Deoxys-D giving the opponent a free turn.
* Skill Swap prevents Mega Gengar and Mega Sableye from countering Deoxys-D by swapping their abilities, which benefits Deoxys-D while it is on the field. However, it isn't useful for anything else, so it typically isn't worth using a moveslot.
* Psycho Boost threatens to OHKO Mega Gengar and Marshadow after at least two layers of Spikes, potentially eliminating two of Deoxys-D's worst matchups. However, running Psycho Boost also worsens Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome and leaves it vulnerable to Dark-types.
* Shed Shell can be run over Leftovers to give Deoxys-D a better matchup against Mega Gengar, allowing it to switch out against Mega Gengar, but this prevents Deoxys-D from receiving much-needed passive recovery, forcing it to use Recover to heal more than it should.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Magic Bounce**: Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie prevent Deoxys-D from doing anything while it is in, as they can simply bounce back any move directed at them. However, they're unable to check Deoxys-D if it chooses to run Skill Swap.

**Taunt Users**: Faster Taunt users such as Deoxys-S and Mega Mewtwo Y render Deoxys-D completely useless, as Deoxys-D is very passive and rarely runs attacking moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mega Gengar traps and 2HKOes Deoxys-D, and the vulnerability is worsened if it is carrying Taunt, which makes Deoxys-D completely unable to do anything to Mega Gengar and forces Deoxys-D to use Struggle. Life Orb Marshadow 2HKOes Deoxys-D with an unboosted Spectral Thief and OHKOes it with a 2+ Shadow Sneak. Marshadow can also Pursuit trap Deoxys-D.

**Dark-types**: Calm Mind Arceus-Dark can remove a Toxic with Refresh, is unaffected by Deoxys-D's other moves with the exception of Taunt, and can 2HKO Deoxys-D with an unboosted Judgment. Life Orb Yveltal can OHKO Deoxys-D with Dark Pulse and use Taunt so that Deoxys-D can't inflict status on it. Pursuit trappers such as Tyranitar and Alolan Muk threaten to OHKO Deoxys-D if it tries to switch out.

**Faster Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers that are faster than Deoxys-D such as Mega Lucario and Swords Dance and Calm Mind Arceus formes can set up in front of Deoxys-D and KO it.

**Status**: Toxic poison and burn will gradually wear down Deoxys-D during the battle, forcing it to constantly use Recover when on low health. Paralysis slows down Deoxys-D to the point where it cannot use Taunt against any threat, making it fodder for hazard setters and sweepers.

Make sure your spacing is right - they are a little off so I'd check other analyses in the subforum.

*It is extremely passive, so it must rely on Toxic to damage the opposing team, which is unreliable as a means of defense. because of this, it is very susceptible to taunt.
I'd also add that below-average offensive stats contribute to the passivity. We are talking about Deoxys here and it still has a crazy movepool. The readers may left with a question about 'so what makes Deoxys passive'? Many Pokemon in the tier rely quite a lot on Toxic to combat bulky foes, and the idea you currently have is quite misleading.
*However, Deoxys-D can separate itself from the aforementioned spike setters due to having the fastest taunt out of them all. which allows it to stop more hazard setters and setup sweepers.
*Deoxys-D should only be used on teams that require bulky spikes support but cannot afford to trade hazards. otherwise, Deoxys-D is a waste of a teamslot and should never be used on a serious team.
Deoxys-D should never be used in any serious teams for any reason... I'd just cut off information about 'this thing can at least to X' and focus on Deoxys-D being unviable Pokemon that is almost entirely, if not completely impossible to justify in competitive teams. It is D rank 'mon on VR and even among other D ranks this one is particularly worse. The first bullet I commented on is usually reserved for niche Pokemon that still holds a small amount of viability... say, something like C or C-.

There also has to be some mention of Deoxys-D's vulnerability to Shadow Tag users. I believe that the majority will agree that it is one of the undermining factors of Deoxys-D.

Deoxys-D is also a 'wall' that should play in a bizarre way. If you want to mess with balanced teams it should aim on setting Spikes as often as possible while hindering Defog users with Toxic while it has to avoid Toxic and entry hazards itself... add some comments about being wary of these issues.

*Max HP and 104 Defense with a Bold nature investment allows Deoxys-D to prevent getting 2HKOed from mixed Primal-Kyogre and adamant-natured Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike after Stealth Rock. 152 speed lets Deoxys-D outspeed adamant RP SD Dusk Mane so it can stop it from setting up.
252+ Atk Kyogre-Primal Liquidation vs. 252 HP / 104+ Def Deoxys-Defense in Heavy Rain: 144-171 (47.3 - 56.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Primal Kyogre calc becomes shakier with SR up. Reword this.

Add some mention about ability Pressure. I am aware that various C&C sections are on a move to remove any useless points (such as Giratina having Pressure) but Pressure on Deoxys-D has small yet noteworthy benefit of being able to limit a number of times that Necrozma-DM can strike Deoxys-D with Sunsteel Strike and Ferrothorn can attack it with Gyro Ball. It is a situational use, but it is still relevant. It also makes Recover PP stalling easier against threats that Deoxys-D narrowly escapes 2HKO from.

*Switch Deoxys-D into pokemon that are unable to break through it, such as Necrozma-DM and Zygarde-C.
I think both of these Pokemon are more than capable of breaking through Deoxys-D if they use setup move on switch. In general there aren't very many threats that Deoxys-D can't switch into. Even users of resistant attacks (Ultra Necrozma / Mewtwo) can easily overpower Deoxys-D or has effective countermeasure against it. Since the goal of using Deoxys-D is messing with slower entry hazard setters consider attempting to use Deoxys-D early game to lay Spikes and punish Defog users with Toxic. Double switching in when the opponent is likely going to send in Ferrothorn or Skarmory may not be a bad idea either.

*Pokemon that can defeat Dark-types such as Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy are valuable teammates. Xerneas in particular appreciates its checks being worn down by spikes.
Practically all of these Pokemon enjoy their switch-in's getting worn down.

There has to be more bullets covering Pokemon that can switch into Toxic, countermeasure against Shadow Tag users and Magic Bounce.

Add Ice Beam somewhere around OO. Consider removing Knock Off entirely after discussing with other QC members who might have different opinion about it.

About Checks and Counters, re-order them to this:

* Magic Bounce
* Taunt users
* Ghost-types
* Dark-types
* Faster Setup Sweepers
* Status

Mega Diancie is another Magic Bounce users so that counts too. Taunt users shut down Deoxys-D entirely so that's big enough to warrant a second highest place in C&C. The rest of them should be simple enough.

By any chances that you may want to refer to the current Deoxys-D analysis in dex page, make sure you don't cross the line of plagiarizing. Referring to certain information is fine but from certain point that it becomes quite obvious to me (and assuming other more experienced QC members as well) that they are not from your own idea.

Implement these thoroughly and alert me in this thread again. I'm still down to having more talk in Discord.

Deoxys-D should also worry about toxic and hazards, so make sure to be wary about them.

Mention how do these Pokemon benefit from Spikes support. Aside from Ho-Oh, most Pokemon that check these 'mons are grounded and thus will not like switching in when Spikes are up... Specifically covering that Dark-types can help against Mega Gengar seems like a good addition to make as well.
*Since Mega-Gengar and the Magic Bounce users Mega-Sableye and Mega-Diancie are the biggest threats to Deoxys-D, pokemon that can check them such as Pursuit trappers, Mega-Gyarados, and Celesteela respectively are necessary.
I won't say Mega Gyarados and Celesteela are appropriate examples here. They don't fare well against threats you mentioned, let alone against the rest of the tier in general. Fairy-types you previously added can be mentioned. There are loads of powerhouses that can harass Mega Sableye so find more viable examples here. You mention that some Stealth Rock setters can complete a hazard stacking core, but I think they can be moved up here and talked about; Primal Groudon and Arceus-Fairy are Stealth Rock setters that can bypass Mega Sableye. Other offensive entry hazard setters like Dialga are worthy of consideration.

Ice Beam also targets Zygarde (which is in higher VR ranking than the two 'mons you mentioned) so add that as well.

Elaborate on why Taunt users shut down Deoxys-D completely - because it is so damn passive and mostly has no attacking moves!

Implement what I said here and the previous post thoroughly for

QC 1/3

*Deoxys-D also has a terrible defensive typing in mono-Psychic, which lacks very many resistances, makes it vulnerable to all entry hazards and status (notably toxic), and gives it common weaknesses to Ghost- and Dark-types and U-Turn. the most notable effects of this problem are weaknesses to Mega-Gengar and Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar,
Pursuit doesn't really remove this mon because it is actually bulky and 40 BP Pursuit (it can stay in, in other words) isn't enough to kill it. Pursuit trappers have to use their other STABs (Tyranitar's Crunch, Marshadow's Spectral Thief) to actually kill it, so its not that straightforward of a trap.
tl;dr remove the bold

the moves are super basic and i wonder if the whole shortening argument going around recently can fit this... but that can be decided at a later point (just an observation, i understand there isnt much to say)

however, choosing this means sacrificing a lot of its bulk that would let it not get 2HKOed by physical attacks.
probably specify what attacks?
*Switch Deoxys-D in early game to lay spikes, double switch when it is likely that the opposing team is likely to send out a pokemon like skarmory or ferrothorn.
this is the opposite of what you wanna do. Deoxys-D will taunt these if they come in and set a shitload of Spikes, it is actually the ideal matchup. The only real thing I could imagine getting out of Deoxys-D is spamming Spikes vs passive mons and preventing their side from doing the same.

*Pokemon that can defeat Dark-types such as Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy are mandatory teammates. these Pokemon can also do cleric work for Deoxys-D
Wording issue - Arceus doesn't have cleric moves. reword this a bit.

*Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Yveltal can take out the Ghost-types, notably Mega-Gengar, that threaten Deoxys-D.
Arceus-Dark and Yveltal don't particularly enjoy taking on Gengar unless they have to. I think the better idea is to mention a different Ghost rather than finding "proper Gengar checks" because well... its a Shadow Tag mon.

OO is kinda stacked for a shitmon but I guess they do have actual applications...? I can live with it.

i'll stamp after implementation.

[OVERVIEW]

*Deoxys-D is an unviable Pokemon in Ubers due to having too many flaws that seriously harm its only valuable niche as a bulky spikes setter.
*Deoxys-D's seemingly excellent base 160 bulk in both Special Defense and Defense is hindered greatly by its low base 50 HP, which makes it easily overwhelmed by attackers such as Primal-Groudon and Necrozma-DM.
*It is extremely passive due to having below average attacking stats, so it usually runs toxic Toxic to make up for it, . because of this, so it is very susceptible to taunt.
*Deoxys-D also has a terrible defensive typing in mono-Psychic, which lacks very many resistances, that makes it vulnerable to all entry hazards and status (notably toxic) , notably Toxic, and gives it common weaknesses to Ghost- and Dark-types and U-Turn. the most notable effect of this problem is its weakness to Mega-Gengar, which is able to trap and remove Deoxys-D with minimal effort.
*Because of these traits, Deoxys-D is almost completely outclassed by other bulky Spikes setters such as Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Klefki. , all of which have better defensive typings and can check a larger range of threats. , even when accounting for a faster taunt.
*Deoxys-D is a waste of a teamslot and should never be used on a serious team.

Moves
========

*Spikes allows Deoxys-D to support its team by wearing down grounded Pokemon on the switch.
*Recover Increases increases Deoxys-D's longevity. , so that Deoxys-D has more opportunities to set up spikes Spikes or throw a toxic at an opposing Pokemon use Toxic against an opposing Pokemon.
*Taunt stops many opposing hazard setters such as Ferrothorn and Toxapex from setting up on it, and it also stops some setup sweepers like SD+RP Dusk Mane Double Dance Necrozma-DM and Double Dance Primal-Groudon from setting up. and stops faster setup sweepers such as Swords Dance or Calm mind Mind Arceus formes and Mega-Lucario if they switch in.
*Toxic gives Deoxys-D a way to damage opposing Pokemon that switch in on it, such as Ho-oh Ho-Oh and some support Arceus formes.

Set Details
========

*Max HP and 104 Defense with a Bold nature investment allows Deoxys-D to prevent getting 2HKOed from mixed Primal-Kyogre Primal Kyogre without Stealth Rock and adamant-natured Adamant Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike after Stealth Rock. 152 speed lets Deoxys-D outspeed adamant RP SD Dusk Mane Adamant Double Dance Necrozma-DM, so it can stop it from setting up.
*Pressure has a small, yet useful benefit of being able to limit the number of times that Necrozma-DM can strike Deoxys-D with Sunsteel Strike and Ferrothorn can attack it with Gyro Ball.
*Leftovers gives Deoxys-D crucial passive recovery that can help it stay in longer on the opposing team.
* 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe with a Jolly nature can also be used to let Deoxys-D outspeed adamant Adamant Zygarde before Power Construct, which allows it to use toxic before substitute, and potentially speed tie with other base 90 Speed Pokemon . however, choosing this means sacrificing a lot of its bulk that would let it not get 2HKOed by Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike.

Usage Tips
========

*Switch Deoxys-D early game to set up spikes. if If a slower and passive Pokemon such as Skarmory and Ferrothorn is switched in to Deoxys-D, taunt Taunt them it, so Deoxys-D can continue to set up.
*Deoxys-D's Main main priority is to use its bulk and relatively high speed to set up spikes Spikes and punish defog Defog users with toxic Toxic. however However, Deoxys-D itself should also worry about toxic Toxic and entry hazards.
*Use its free turns carefully, since its passivity and vulnerability to many common threats means it should stay in for a few turns at most.
*Set up Spikes whenever it is safe to do so. Deoxys-D's poor matchup against the majority of the tier makes setting up spikes Spikes infrequent.
*Use Taunt whenever necessary, . If the player knows you know that the opposing Pokemon, likely a set up setup sweeper, defogger Defogger, or a hazard setter, will be is slower than Deoxys-D, it is safest to Taunt them it so that Deoxys-D can set up spikes without being threatened.
*If the player you predicts predict that a faster Defog user, setup sweeper, or hazard setter is going to will switch in to Deoxys-D, either taunt Taunt them it to prevent the Pokemon from doing their job Defogging or setting up, or throw a toxic use Toxic to wear down the Pokemon over time if they it aren't is not immune to it.
*If possible, one you can try to PP stall a Pokemon like Necrozma-DM with pressure Pressure, which can help Deoxys-D's team be less worried about them it breaking through.

Team Options
========

*Pokemon that can defeat check Dark-types such as Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy are mandatory teammates. The former two Pokemon can also do cleric work for Deoxys-D.
*Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Yveltal can take out the Ghost-types , (move this comma) such as Lunala and Giratina, that threaten Deoxys-D. all All of these Pokemon and the ones above greatly benefit from spikes, as all of their checks, with the exception of Ho-Oh, are grounded and do not like to be worn down by Spikes damage over battle.
*Since Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar and the Magic Bounce users Mega-Sableye Mega Sableye and Mega-Diancie Mega-Diancie are the biggest threats to Deoxys-D, Pokemon that can check them such as Pursuit trappers, Fairy-types, and Steel-types respectively are necessary. Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar and Alolan-Muk Alolan Muk threaten to OHKO Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar if it tries to switch out, . Alolan-Muk Alolan Muk is notable in that it is only weak to ground Ground, which is not a coverage type that Mega-Gengar typically runs. Fairy- types Fairy-types such as Xerneas and Arceus-Fairy can kill beat Mega-Sableye Mega Sableye, and Steel- Types Steel-types like Necrozma-DM can kill beat Mega-Diancie Mega Diancie. Strong Stealth Rock setters like Primal-Groudon Primal Groudon, Arceus-Fairy, and Dialga can bypass set up Stealth Rock on Mega-Sableye Mega Sableye and Mega-Diancie Mega Diancie due to their ability to overpowering overpower them with Super Effective super effective or strong Neutral neutral attacks. (Can you specify which SR setters beat which Magic Bouncers?) these These Pokemon can also form a hazard stacking core with Deoxys-D.
*Pokemon that can switch in to into toxic Toxic such as Necrozma-DM and Toxapex are very useful partners for Deoxys-D, as they can help keep Deoxys-D from being worn down continuously.
*Setup Sweepers sweepers and wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Primal-Groudon Primal Groudon, Mega-Salamence Mega Salamence, Double Dance Dusk Mane Necrozma-DM, and Mega-Lucario Mega Lucario all greatly benefit from spikes Spikes support. , as it helps wear down many of the bulkier Pokemon that the sweepers might not be able to take out without support, or simply make landing OHKOs easier.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
==============

*Stealth Rock is an option to let Deoxys-D use its free turns to set up multiple hazards for its team. however However, choosing this amplifies Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome, and many other Stealth Rock setters such as Primal-Groudon and Dialga do this better, while Spikes is almost unique to Deoxys-D. , so it isn't usually a good option.
*Ice beam Ice Beam threatens to 2HKO Mega-Salamence Mega Salamence, Rayquaza, and Zygarde-C and also helps prevent it from being taunt bait completely shut down by Taunt. however However, this will only threaten them on the switch. and does not do a whole lot of much damage to Pokemon that aren't weak to it (Clarification: because of Deoxys-D's lackluster Special Attack?).
*Magic Coat punishes Pokemon that attempt to set up with hazards or inflict Deoxys-D with a status by deflecting it back at the opposing Pokemon. however However, Magic Coat is reliant on good correct prediction to work, and failure to predict correctly can lead to Deoxys-D giving the opponent a free turn.
*Skill Swap prevents Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar and Mega-Sableye Mega Sableye from hard (Is this really a hard counter?) countering it by switching out their abilities, and benefits Deoxys-D while it is on the field. however However, it isn't useful for anything else. , so it typically isn't worth using a move slot for.
*Psycho-Boost Psycho Boost threatens to OHKO Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar and Marshadow after at least 2 two layers of spikes Spikes, potentially eliminating two of its worst matchups. however However, running Psycho-Boost Psycho Boost also worsens Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome, and still leaves it vulnerable to dark types Dark-types.
*Shed Shell can be run over leftovers Leftovers to give Deoxys-D a better matchup against Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar, so it can switch out against it because it gives Deoxys-D the ability to switch out against Mega Gengar. , but this prevents Deoxys-D from getting receiving much needed much-needed passive recovery, forcing it to use recover Recover to heal more than it should.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Magic Bounce**: Mega-Sableye Mega Sableye and Mega-Diancie Mega Diancie prevent Deoxys-D from doing anything while it is in, as they can simply reflect bounce back any move directed at it them. however However, they're unable to check Deoxys-D if it chooses to run skill swap Skill Swap.

**Taunt Users**: Faster Taunt users such as Deoxys-S and Mega-Mewtwo-Y Mega Mewtwo Y render Deoxys-D completely useless. , as Deoxys-D is so passive that it rarely runs attacking moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar traps and removes Deoxys-D with no effort 2HKOes Deoxys-D, and the vulnerability is worsened if it is carrying taunt Taunt, which makes Deoxys-D completely unable to do anything to Mega-Gengar Mega Gengar, and Deoxys-D will be forced to use struggle if it doesn't run knock off Knock Off. Life Orb Marshadow 2HKOes it with an unboosted spectral thief, and OHKOes it with Shadow Sneak in the likely event it has a 2+ attack boost. Marshadow can also pursuit trap Deoxys-D.

**Dark-types**: Calm Mind Arceus Dark Arceus-Dark can remove a toxic Toxic with refresh Refresh, is unaffected by its other moves with the exception of taunt Taunt, and can 2HKO Deoxys-D with an unboosted judgement Judgment. Life Orb Yveltal can OHKO Deoxys-D with Dark pulse Dark Pulse, and taunt Taunt it so that Deoxys-D can't inflict status on it. Pursuit Trappers such as Tyranitar and Alolan-Muk threaten to OHKO Deoxys-D if it tries to switch out.

**Faster Setup Sweepers**: Setup Sweepers that are faster than Deoxys-D can taunt Taunt it such as Mega-Lucario Mega Lucario and Swords Dance and calm mind Calm Mind Arceus formes can set up in front of Deoxys-D and kill KO it.

**Status**: Toxic and Burn will gradually wear down on Deoxys-D during the battle, forcing it to constantly use recover when on low health. freeze Freeze prevents Deoxys-D from doing anything and will have to hope that it ends as soon as it starts. paralysis Paralysis slows down Deoxys-D to the point where it cannot taunt Taunt any threat, making it setup fodder for hazard setters or sweepers.

*Psycho Boost threatens to OHKO Mega Gengar and Marshadow after at least two layers of Spikes, potentially eliminating two of its worst matchups. However, running Psycho Boost also worsens Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome,(RC) and leaves it vulnerable to Dark-types.
*Shed Shell can be run over Leftovers to give Deoxys-D a better matchup against Mega Gengar, because allowing it gives Deoxys-D the ability to switch out against Mega Gengar, but this prevents Deoxys-D from receiving much-needed passive recovery, forcing it to use Recover to heal more than it should.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Magic Bounce**: Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie prevent Deoxys-D from doing anything while it is in, as they can simply bounce back any move directed at them. However, they're unable to check Deoxys-D if it chooses to run Skill Swap.

**Taunt Users**: Faster Taunt users such as Deoxys-S and Mega Mewtwo Y render Deoxys-D completely useless, as Deoxys-D is so very passive that it and rarely runs attacking moves.

**Ghost-types**: Mega Gengar traps and 2HKOes Deoxys-D, and the vulnerability is worsened if it is carrying Taunt, which makes Deoxys-D completely unable to do anything to Mega Gengar and will be forced forces Deoxys-D to use Struggle if it doesn't run Knock Off (Knock Off wasn't even mentioned in the analysis at all, so I would either end the sentence at "Struggle" or add Knock Off to OO). Life Orb Marshadow 2HKOes it Deoxys-D with an unboosted Spectral Thief,(RC) and OHKOes it with +2 Shadow Sneak in the likely event it has a 2+ attack boost. Marshadow can also Pursuit trap Deoxys-D.

**Dark-types**: Calm Mind Arceus-Dark can remove a Toxic with Refresh, is unaffected by its Deoxys-D 'sother moves with the exception of Taunt, and can 2HKO Deoxys-D with an unboosted Judgement Judgment. Life Orb Yveltal can OHKO Deoxys-D with Dark Pulse,(RC) and use Taunt it so that Deoxys-D can't inflict status on it. Pursuit trappers such as Tyranitar and Alolan-(RH)Muk threaten to OHKO Deoxys-D if it tries to switch out.

**Faster Setup Sweepers**: Setup sweepers that are faster than Deoxys-D can Taunt it such as Mega Lucario and Swords Dance and Calm Mind Arceus formes can set up in front of Deoxys-D and KO it.

**Status**: Toxic poison and burn will gradually wear down on Deoxys-D during the battle, forcing it to constantly use Recover when on low health. Freeze prevents Deoxys-D from doing anything and will have to hope that it ends as soon as it starts. (I have never viewed freeze as a status condition warranted to be in C&C; every Pokemon is completely removed from battle by freeze, plus it's not like Thunder Wave or Toxic where there's a common status move that just inflicts freeze) Paralysis slows down Deoxys-D to the point where it cannot use Taunt against any threat, making it fodder for hazard setters or and sweepers.

*If possible, you can try to PP stall a Pokemon like Necrozma-DM with Pressure, which can help Deoxys-D's team be less worried about it breaking through.

Team Options
========

*Pokemon that can check Dark-types such as Xerneas, Magearna, and Arceus-Fairy are mandatory teammates. The former two Pokemon can also do cleric work provide cleric support for Deoxys-D.
*Dark-types like Arceus-Dark and Yveltal can take out Ghost-types, such as Lunala and Giratina, that threaten Deoxys-D. All of these the aforementioned Pokemon and the ones above greatly benefit from Spikes, as all of their checks, with the exception of Ho-Oh, are grounded and do not like to be worn down by Spikes damage over battle.
*Since Mega Gengar and the Magic Bounce users like Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie are the biggest threats to Deoxys-D, Pokemon that can check them such as Pursuit trappers, Fairy-types, and Steel-types respectively (you clarify what checks what in the rest of the bullet point) are necessary. Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar and Alolan Muk threaten to OHKO Mega Gengar if it tries to switch out,(RC);(SC) Alolan Muk is notable in that it is only weak to Ground, which is not a coverage type that Mega Gengar typically runs. Specifically,(AC) Arceus-Fairy is a good check to Mega Sableye and Primal Groudon or and Dialga are good checks against Mega-Diancie. These Pokemon can also form a hazard stacking core with Deoxys-D.
*Pokemon that can switch in to toxic into Toxic such as Necrozma-DM and Toxapex are very useful partners for Deoxys-D, as they can help keep Deoxys-D from being worn down continuously continually. ("continuously" means "without interruption"; "continually" means "regularly")
*Setup sweepers and wallbreakers such as Swords Dance Primal Groudon, Mega Salamence, Double Dance Necrozma-DM, and Mega Lucario all greatly benefit from Spikes support.(period),(AC) as it helps wear down many of the bulkier Pokemon that they sweepers might not be able to take out without support,(RC) or simply and makes landing OHKOs easier.

Other Options
==============

*Stealth Rock is an option to let Deoxys-D use its free turns to set up multiple entry hazards for its team. However, choosing this amplifies Deoxys-D's four-moveslot syndrome,(RC) and many other Stealth Rock setters such as Primal-(RH)Groudon and Dialga do this better, while Spikes is almost unique to Deoxys-D, so it Stealth Rock isn't usually a good option.
*Ice Beam threatens to 2HKO Mega Salamence, Rayquaza, and Zygarde-C and also helps prevent it Deoxys-D from being completely shut down by Taunt. However, this will only threaten them on the switch and does not do much damage to Pokemon that aren't weak to it because of Deoxys-D's lackluster Special Attack.
*Magic Coat punishes Pokemon that attempt to set up with hazards or inflict Deoxys-D with a status by deflecting it back at the opposing Pokemon. However, Magic Coat is reliant on correct prediction to work, and failure to predict correctly can lead to Deoxys-D giving the opponent a free turn.
*Skill Swap prevents Mega Gengar and Mega Sableye from countering it Deoxys-D by switching out swapping their abilities, and which benefits Deoxys-D while it is on the field. However, it isn't useful for anything else, so it typically isn't worth using a move slot moveslot.

===================

* Deoxys-D also has a terrible defensive typing in Psychic, which lacks resistances, (AC) makes Deoxys-D vulnerable to all entry hazards and status, notably Toxic, and gives it common weaknesses to Ghost- and Dark-types and U-turn. Notably, Mega Gengar is able to trap and remove Deoxys-D with minimal effort.
* Because of these traits, Deoxys-D is almost completely outclassed by other bulky Spikes setters such as Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Klefki, (period -> comma) all of which have better defensive typings and can check a larger range of threats, even when accounting for Deoxys-D's faster Taunt.
* Deoxys-D is a waste of a teamslot and should never be used on a serious team.

Moves
========

Set Details
========

* Maximum HP and 104 Defense EVs with a Bold nature prevent Deoxys-D from getting 2HKOed by mixed Primal Kyogre without Stealth Rock and Adamant Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike after Stealth Rock. 152 Speed EVs lets let Deoxys-D outspeed Adamant Double Dance Necrozma-DM so it can stop it from setting up.
* Pressure has a small yet useful benefit of being able to limit the number of times that Necrozma-DM and Ferrothorn use Sunsteel Strike (RH) and Gyro Ball, respectively, against Deoxys-D
* Leftovers gives Deoxys-D crucial passive recovery that can help it stay in longer against the opposing team.
* An EV spread of 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe with a Jolly nature can also be used to let Deoxys-D outspeed Adamant Zygarde before Power Construct, which allows it to use Toxic before Zygarde's Substitute, and potentially Speed tie with other base 90 Speed Pokemon (remove formatting). However, choosing this spread means sacrificing a lot of bulk that allows Deoxys-D to avoid getting 2HKOed by Necrozma-DM's Sunsteel Strike.

Usage Tips
========

These Pokemon can also form a hazard-stacking (AH) core with Deoxys-D.
* Pokemon that can switch into Toxic such as Necrozma-DM and Toxapex are very useful partners for Deoxys-D, as they can help keep Deoxys-D from being worn down continually.

Implemented. This is ready for Upload! Very excited!

made some edits prior to upload:

- set name standardized (its not exactly unique enough to warrant a joke name)
- various gp touches / added formatting where missing
- removed marsh's +2 sneak mention in c&c... not much of a relevant comment

otherwise this is uploaded. nice job for a first attempt.
