Determining HP Power

Maybe of been asked heaps before, but how do you determine the elemental power/type of HP WITHOUT calculating the IVs?

Testing it on Kecleon works best
Perhaps read the question before answering?

One would have to do semi-endless testing the damage it does on fixed enemies, which altogether would probably require a battle on Wi-Fi (since you need the enemy to have a set Hp and SpD) which would make just finding out the IVs a lot easier.

it's impossible to determine power (though you can probably make rough estimates once you have type based on iv ranges, obviously assuming you can get ranges). as stated, kecleon is your best bet for HP typing.

I dont know if this is relevant, but if any of the numbers 0,1,4,5,8,9,12,13,15,16,20,21,24,25,28 or 29 are in your combination of IVs, you can never have a base power of 70. If the number is HP, the highest base power possible is 69, if the number is in Attack, the highest base power is 68, if its in Defence, the highest base power is 67, if its in SpAtk, the highest base power is 59, if its in SpDef, the highest base power is 49, and if its in Speed, the highest base power is 64. Theres other niches that determine base power as well (ie. Both HP and Atk are 29, the rest 31, HPDarks base power will be 68 instead of 67, due to 67 being created by defence)
