National Dex DIRTY HARRY - SPECIALLY DEFENSIVE HEATRAN (QC 2/2) (GP 1/1)

Specially Defensive (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 220 SpD / 40 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Toxic / Taunt
- Stealth Rock / Protect / Taunt

Heatran’s well-rounded stats, great typing, and unique ability allows it to be one of the best specially defensive Pokemon in the tier, capable of sponging hits from Volcarona, Choice Specs and Hex Dragapult, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Koko. Earth Power hits Fire-resistant foes such as opposing Heatran, Toxapex, and Raging Bolt. Toxic is useful to wear down Pokemon such as Ting-Lu and Alomomola, preventing them from reliably switching in. Heatran also functions as a consistent Stealth Rock user, threatening foes with hazard removal such as Terapagos lacking Earth Power and Tornadus-T. If Stealth Rock is already being used by another teammate, Taunt can be used to shut down defensive Pokemon like Toxapex and Galarian Slowking allowing Heatran to trap them more effectively. Taunt also prevents Substitute Volcarona and Calm Mind Raging Bolt from spiraling out of control. Protect both enables more passive damage from Magma Storm and Toxic to build up and grants Heatran with more healing from Leftovers, as well as allowing Heatran to scout common Choice-users such as Tapu Lele and Iron Valiant. 40 Speed EVs allows Heatran to outspeed Adamant Kingambit and Mega Mawile.

Heatran is easily removed by Ground- and Water-type Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Urshifu-R, and Gliscor, meaning teammates that can handle these threats, such as Mega Latios, Zapdos, and Rillaboom, are greatly appreciated. Rillaboom in particular is good since the Grassy Terrain it sets provides Heatran with another source of passive healing, which can greatly assist in Heatran's longevity to check foes like Raging Bolt and Mega Latios for teammates like Toxapex and Great Tusk may dislike. Heatran’s offensive pressure is helpful for wearing down threats like Raging Bolt and Toxapex for teammates like Tapu Koko, Hex Dragapult, and Mega Lopunny. In return, Tapu Koko can handle Water-types like Hisuian Samurott and Alomomola, and Dragapult can check Zamazenta via weakening it with Will-O-Wisp.

Heatran’s well-rounded stats, great typing, and unique ability making it the only viable pokémon immune to fire type attacks unnecessary dex info allows it to be one of the best specially defensive pokémon in the tier, capable of sponging hits from Volcarona, Choice Specs Dragapult, and Tapu Koko for its team while threatening significant chip damage via Toxic and Magma Storm. Earth Power is used for pokémon that otherwise resist Heatran’s stab for super effective damage, hits Fire- resists simplify filler such as opposing Heatran, Toxapex, and Raging Bolt, as well as giving it a solid attacking move with consistent accuracy dex info. Heatran can also be also functions as change wording here as rocks is more of a priority to have over tox/taunt a consistent Stealth Rock user, having a favorable matchup into Ferrothorn if it’s used as a lead. this part is irrelevant to it’s role as a rocker, explain how it can threaten out pex and ferro to find opportunities to set rocks Alternatively, Taunt can be used over Stealth Rocks if another teammate already has Stealth Rocks, or Toxic if you’d prefer to completely hinder bulkier pokemon by preventing them from using status moves. rewrite, this entire sentence is just confusing to read(try: if sr is alr on the team, use taunt to x, or use toxic to x) 40 Speed EVs allows Heatran to outspeed max speed Adamant Kingambit and Mega Mawile, OHKO’ing both after a layer of spikes and trap damage unnecessary.

Heatran pairs well with teammates that can rely on its long list of types it resists benefit from its defensive profile type chart is obvious, such as Rillaboom, Landorus, and Great Tusk. Rillaboom in particular is a great partner thanks to resisting ground type attacks and as above Grassy Surge halving the power of Earthquake on top of healing Heatran overtime. Heatran’s Fire and Steel typing makes it is simplify incredibly prone to ground type attacks, so pokémon that are immune to them immunities like Dragonite, Landorus, and Tornadus-Therian, help Heatran stay alive longer can help pivot into them clarify since those dont directly heal up tran and increase longevity. Mega Charizard Y also threatens Heatran with Scorching Sands or Focus Blast and resists its fire type attacks, so a pokémon that can help deal with it, like Raging Bolt, Dragonite, or the Lati-Twins, form an amazing core with Heatran. chary is a strong example, but is hardly the only one, broaden by mentioning how rbolt dnite can also help switch into urshifu-r and how latis(specifically tias) help switch into zama
i’d also like to note there’s near no mention of what heatran does back for these teammates(rilla likes rocks chip, lando can pivot on corv, etc), tusk was not mentioned at all past the first sentence and tran’s capability to switch into various threats like non ep terapagos and lele for teammates like lando/tusk should be added

Heatran’s well-rounded stats, great typing, and unique ability allows it to be one of the best specially defensive pokémon in the tier, capable of sponging hits from Volcarona, Choice Specs Dragapult, Tapu Lele, Terapagos without Earth Power, (RC) too many examples and Tapu Koko for its team while threatening significant chip damage via Toxic and Magma Storm making progress with its utility moves u go into more depth afterwards so this just sets that up. Earth Power hits Fire-type resists such as opposing Heatran, Toxapex, and Raging Bolt. Heatran also functions as a consistent Stealth Rock user, threatening Toxapex and Ferrothorn with Magma Storm hazard removal such as Great Tusk and Tornadus-T with its powerful Magma Storm what does pex and ferro have to do with being good at setting rocks. If Stealth Rock is already being used by another mon on your team, you can use Toxic Toxic can be used dont say "you" in analyses for additional damage over time mention against what (i.e mola, moltres) or Taunt to shut down defensive pokémon such as?. 40 Speed EVs allows Heatran to outspeed adamant Kingambit and Mega Mawile.

Heatran pairs well with teammates that can benefit from its defensive profile such as Rillaboom, Landorus, and Great Tusk. Rillaboom in particular is a great partner thanks to Grassy Surge halving the power of Earthquake on top of healing Heatran overtime. Heatran is prone to ground type attacks, so immunities like Dragonite, Landorus, and Tornadus-Therian, can help pivot into them. Pokémon with naturally high attacking stats like Mega Charizard Y, Urshifu, and Zamazenta can threaten Heatran with super effective attacks. Partners like Raging Bolt, Dragonite, or the Lati-Twins, form an amazing core with Heatran by being able to stomach their attacks and force them out. In return, Heatran can switch into strong ice and fairy type attacks that threaten these partners, as well as wearing down opponents with it’s multiple methods of chip damage.

Heatran is easily removed by Ground- and Water-type Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Urshifu-R and Great Tusk, meaning teammates, such as Mega Latios, Tornadus-T and Rillaboom, that can handle these threats are greatly appreciated. Rillaboom in particular is good since the Grassy Terrain it sets provides Heatran with a source of passive healing, which alongside Alomomola, can greatly assist in Heatran's longevity to check the Fairy-, Dragon- and Ice-types its teammates may dislike.

ik its not ideal to rewrite an entire paragraph BUT the previous was full of filler, was very hard to follow along ngl and couldve been summarised much more easily, also this is easier than going back and forth with rewrites/checks; also also included an alomomola mention cuz heatran likes that.

**FROM THERE** u should talk abt heatran helping offensively, such as setting rocks, wearing down foes like raging bolt, which helps teammates like tapu koko, iron valiant, mega lop and pult to clean up later.

Heatran’s well-rounded stats, great typing, and unique ability allows it to be one of the best specially defensive pokémon in the tier, capable of sponging hits from Volcarona, Choice Specs and Hex Dragapult, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Koko for its team while making progress with its utility moves. Earth Power hits Fire-type resists such as opposing Heatran, Toxapex, and Raging Bolt. Toxic is useful to wear down Pokemon such as Moltres Ting-Lu molt doesn’t do much back to tran so it doesn’t really want to ever come in; ting is a more meaningful example and Alomomola, preventing them from reliably switching in. Heatran also functions as a consistent Stealth Rock user, threatening hazard removal such as Terapagos lacking Earth Power and Tornadus-T with its powerful Magma Storm. If Stealth Rock is already being used by another teammate mon on your team, Taunt can be used to shut down defensive pokémon like Toxapex and Slowbro idt this actually realistically happens without you taking a ton of scalds in the process, which is undesirable; replace with like gking / even chansey but gking is preferable, allowing Heatran to trap them more effectively. more elaboration Taunt also prevents Substitute Volcarona and Calm Mind Raging Bolt from spiraling out of control. explain tect here 40 Speed EVs allows Heatran to outspeed adamant Kingambit and Mega Mawile.

Heatran is easily removed by Ground- and Water-type Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Urshifu-R and Great Tusk Gliscor this mon is a major major annoyance to tran that needs to be mentioned as an issue, meaning teammates, such as Mega Latios, Tornadus-T Zapdos we want a more solid shifu answer mentioned and Rillaboom, that can handle these threats are greatly appreciated. Rillaboom in particular is good since the Grassy Terrain it sets provides Heatran with another source of passive healing, which alongside Alomomola, kinda just a random mention here specifically, if u want to mention Mola do so in a separate sentence can greatly assist in Heatran's longevity to check the Fairy-, Dragon-, and Ice-types Raging Bolt and Mega Latios, which tran doesn’t actually check any relevant ice types and gterrain doesn’t help it any further in checking the fairies it’s tasked with checking its teammates like? Mention stuff like pex, hsam, tusk may dislike. Heatran’s offensive pressure is helpful for wearing down threats like Raging Bolt and Alomomola Toxapex mola kinda just flips and regens forever for teammates like Choice Specs Tapu Koko, Dragapult either specify specs / wisphex pult or replace it with another example like idk tornt / ogerpon, your choice on what to do, and Mega Lopunny. In return, Tapu Koko can handle water types like Hisuian Samurott and Urshifu Alomomola shifu can just rkill with scarf (probably it’s most common set at the moment), and Dragapult can check Zamazenta via weakening it with Will-O-Wisp if you remove pult then remove this line too and replace it with the new example, and Mega Lopunny can serve as a powerful late game cleaner without anything to check it. not really informative; lop kinda just benefits a lot from tran and doesn’t really do anything for it in particular back
