Other Discussion: Which Pokemon will Fairy impact the most?

Someone brought up a while ago that it's almost more advantageous for Dragons that Fairy-type is immune to its attacks, rather than simply resistant. The two most powerful Dragon-type moves, Outrage and Draco Meteor, take full advantage of this. Outrage becomes unlocked when a Fairy switches in, while Draco Meteor doesn't sustain a SpA drop. Both of these loopholes should make it easy for Dragons to switch to their appropriate coverage move and continue their work.
It's gonna affect things still.

Choice Band Outrage was extremely powerful in gen 5, but now it is a terrible idea because of Fairies. To get strong Outrage they'll have to look at a Life Orb, which hurts survivability quite a bit, and with Talonflame running around, that chip damage really opens you to being revenge killed.

Basically, choice sets for Dragons are MUCH less interesting now, because using their best moves at their full power is made difficult by the mere presence of fairies.

There's also the fact, that the unfortunate side effect of being locked into Outrage is still there in a different way. Knocking out an another mon with Outrage too early means, an opponent fairy can take advantage of the lock to not only guarantee a revenge kill but set up, which is worse in every way. It's quite possible for example, to bait an Outrage, sack a weakened mon, and use the lock as a setup-opportunity for Bellydrum-Azumarill.

Remember that if something uses Outrage on a Fairy, it will be unaffected and Outrage will end early. Now the Fairy can still setup on the switch, but not as long as say something that resisted Outrage and forced them to keep using it, allowing the resistor to set up further.

Yes, but I was saying about switching a fairy in while the Outrage lock is still on its second or third turn (and most importantly, immediately after it has KO'd a mon, after which it's a sudden wide open). Most defensive steels aren't in the position, to swiftly KO a bulky dragon like Garchomp, and Outrage with one or two boosts will still heavily damage a Steel-type. While it's less advantageous to switch a fairy into Outrage directly, the immunity is arguably better for slower teams when the dragon's already locked, since you're guaranteed either a turn of set-up and the ability to OHKO a dragon.

I think it's also been tested, that an Outrage ending on the second or third turn still invokes confusion damage, and that's another thing to worry about if you're not carrying a Lum Berry.

Basically, instead of immediately switching a Fairy in to a CB Outrage or Draco Meteor, you bring a fairy Pokemon in on the revenge after the opponent's dragon takes out one of your Pokemon. If you simply switch a fairy Pokemon in on a CB Outrage or Draco Meteor, the opponent will most likely switch to one of their dragon's coverage moves. But if you bring a fairy in on the revenge, suddenly you have a free turn to set up or attack while the opponent either switches out or is still locked to their CB Outrage or Draco Meteor. Sure, losing a Pokemon in order to do this sucks, but that one turn of setup might be all that Belly Drum/Aqua Jet Azumarill needs in order to smash the opponent's team...especially after his checks and counters are removed.
