Pet Mod DLCmons: Ultra V2 (Fakemon slate)

:arghonaut: Anti-S-Tier :syclant:
An Alolan form designed to counter a majority of the mod’s current S-tiers without being too dominant outside of that.

This is shamelessly ripped from CAP, as a decentralization was used as a concept for CAP 6 as well as (informally) CAP 1, but it’s the perfect competitive concept to go for in DLC right now. Why? 11 S-tiers. Do I really need to say anything else?
Concept: Steelbreaker :magearna::kartana::celesteela::heatran::mawile-mega:
Description: Because we lost the 20-something Fire-types from v1, the Steel-types listed above are free to roam. We need more Pokemon that can easily switch in to whatever these Steel-types have and effectively do something back.
:ariados: Signature Refresh :drifblim:
An Alolan form of a Pokemon with a nearly-unused signature move or ability that aims to make said move or ability viable.

Signature moves and abilities are meant to define a Pokemon or evolutionary line, yet many of them fall flat, and while it’s occasionally because they’re just bad (looking at you, Kinesis), many are fine moves that just aren’t worth using over other options for one reason or another. This isn’t so much a flavour or competitive concept as it is a creative one, forcing people to think outside of the box and find ways to make these subpar options shine
Concept 1: Fallen Hero
Flavor: When DLCmons went through the wormhole, it left some friends behind. This concept brings one of the Alola Forms from V1 back.
Concept: Fish
Description: Despite the general abundance of water types in alola, there is actually only 1 fish native and new to the region(well its technically many fish). Lets add more fish, it doesn't need to be a water type, just another fish.
Concept: Altar of the Sunne/Moone
Description: Alola is a land where people and Pokemon interact very freely, and in one of the most remote areas of Alola there is only 1 encounter available being Solgaleo/Duskmane Necrozma in Sun, and Lunala/Dawnwings Necrozma in Moon. This concept is about creating a pair of "version exclusives"(They're both available in both games, but the alternate is only available postgame) that make sense to live in the Altar of Sunne/Moone.
You can now sub regional variants for those concepts! A few things to note...
-Regional Variants have to keep the same BST as their original versions.
-You can create new evolutions for the regional variants.
-You can make a regional Mega Evolution, but only if the original Pokemon already had a Mega.
-For Fallen Hero, you can change the Pokemon à bit. There is no specific limit on how much you can change, but it should still feel like the original version.
-For Altar of the Sunne/Moone, you have to submit both Pokemon.
-You can only make one submission per concept (except for the Altar)

Have fun!
The slate will last for 5 days.

New Pokémon Name: Rapidash-Alola
Concept Name: Steelbreaker
Stat Changes: 65/70/85/100/70/110 (500)
Typing Changes:

Ability Changes: Intimidate / Levitate / Flame Body (HA)
Play Rough, High Horsepower
Draining Kiss, Moonblast, Focus Blast
Moonlight
Description: Rapidash-A is a check to the Steel-types thanks to its typing and Intimidate. The former allows it to check Magearna, Heatran and Celesteela while the latter alongside its speed and Dark resistence make it a Kartana and Mawile-M. Levitate is better for the Heatran matchup and Focus Blast helps in that regard. Moonlight is a necessity due to its Stealth Rock weakness.

Work!
:vespiquen:
Concept Name: Anti-S Tier
Pokemon Name: Alolan Combee (all Alolan Combees are female)
Typing: Fire
Stats: unchanged
Abilities: Honey Gather / Cute Charm
Notable Moves: uhhhh Wisp?

Pokemon Name: Swarmarch (swarm + monarch)
Typing: Fire / Dragon
Stats: 90 / 102 / 40 / 50 / 80 / 112
Abilities: Parental Bond / Unnerve
Notable Moves: Fire Lash, Spikes, Thunder Wave, Encore, Heal Bell, Will-o-Wisp, Knock Off, Dragon Claw, Taunt, Will-o-Wisp, Breaking Swipe, Defog, Flame Charge, Bulldoze (doesn't get boosting moves or pivoting moves)

Pokemon Name: Alolan Vespiquen
Typing: Fire / Poison
Stats: 100 / 40 / 80 / 107 / 107 / 40
Abilities: Fire / Poison
Abilities: Regenerator / Queenly Majesty
Notable Moves: Afterburn, Alight, Bee Barrier, Flamethrower/Fire Blast/Lava Plume/Mystical Fire, U-Turn, Sludge Bomb/Wave, Earth Power, Calm Mind, Acid Armor, Clear Smog, Knock Off, Aromatherapy, Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave, Focus Blast, Recover, Magnet Rise
Misc: Vespiquen has a signature item called 'Royal Jelly'. When held by Vespiquen, it cannot be removed and behaves like Solid Rock.

Afterburn (Fire-type Future Sight)
Alight (Fire-type Gen 8 Teleport)
Bee Barrier (Fire-type status. 5PP. Gives the user Prism Armor in addition to main ability for 5 turns).

This branched evolution is what I was wanting to do with this family in V1 but couldn't figure out how to manifest it. What we end up getting here are two different mons that excel at beating the top tiers, and you can choose the direction you want to go in for your team's playstyle.

Parental Bond on Swarmarch has some cool tech. It seems quite weak on paper, but it creates so many stat drops through Fire Lash, Mystical Fire, Breaking Swipe and Bulldoze, and can boost its own speed through Flame Charge. In addition to this, it is a cool support mon that packs a lot of utility into its movesets. It will force out top tiers but will need help getting into battle.

Alolan Vespiquen draws heavily on the Slowking line in OU, and is centered around Afterburn, which has so much utility in a format dominated by Steels. It's a bulky mon that gets bulkier through it's signature item and Regenerator, combined with its exclusive access to Gen 8 Teleport. It's an absolutely amazing Pokemon at beating the top tiers while still behind held in check through its Stealth Rock weakness, since HDB dont exist here.

Paulluxx they also eat Oricorio because the nectar on this island is amazing.

:flapple: :appletun:
Concept Name: Fallen Hero
Pokemon Name: Alolan Applin
Typing: Dragon
Stats: unchanged
Abilities: Swarm / Gluttony | Bulletproof
Notable Moves: uhhhh?

Pokemon Name: Alolan Flapple
Typing: Dragon / Electric
Stats: 60 / 120 / 60 / 85 / 60 / 100
Abilities: Tart Breath (Neutralizing Gas clone) / Infiltrator | Motor Drive
Notable Moves: Zing Zap, Close Combat, Poison Jab, Spikes, Swords Dance, Spiky Shield, normal movepool with Gen 7 stuff along with universals

Pokemon Name: Alolan Appletun
Typing: Dragon / Fairy
Stats: 110 / 65 / 90 / 100 / 90 / 30
Abilities: Comatose / Poison Heal | Volt Absorb
Notable Moves: Nectar Lure (Fairy-type special Anchor Shot clone), Bug Buzz, Nasty Plot, Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Spikes, Spiky Shield, Nasty Plot, normal movepool with Gen 7 stuff along with universals

The pineapple pair provide some interesting gameplay changes for the format. Flapple is a stallbreaker that prevents the use of Regen, Magic Guard, among other abilities. This gives it a pretty cool niche in the meta, especially if you're like me and hate Toxapex. Appletun is a trapper, using its signature move to keep things in while it sets up Nasty Plots.

:cramorant:
Concept: Signature Refresh
Pokemon Name: Alolan Cramorant
Typing: Flying
Stats: 80 / 95 / 95 / 55 / 95 / 55
Abilities: Air Armada (Gulp Missile, but it grabs prey when first using any damaging Flying move. Missiles have the same effects.)
Notable Moves: Squall (Flying-type Quick Attack), Beak Blast, Roost, Knock Off, U-Turn, loses all Water moves

Funny bird's Hawaiian cousin is a pretty awesome user of Beak Blast. It will grab its prey during the charging portion of Beak Blast, which happens at the beginning of the turn. Then it will fire that missile before firing the Beak Blast, which is pretty awesome, especially if you get that defense drop. Squall is another way of using Air Armada, getting to pre-emptively grab prey and then retaliating.

:tynamo: :eelektrik: :eelektross:
Concept: Fish
Pokemon Name: Alolan Tynamo
Typing: Electric/Water
Stats: 45 / 45 / 40 / 45 / 40 / 60
Ability: Magic Guard
Notable Moves: Thunder Wave?

Pokemon Name: Alolan Eelektrik
Typing: Electric/Water
Stats: 80 / 65 / 60 / 65 / 60 / 75
Ability: Magic Guard
Notable Moves: Existing movepool, Scald, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Surf. Loses Poison moves (sans Toxic), Giga Drain and Fire moves

Pokemon Name: Alolan Eelektross
Typing: Electric/Water
Stats: 100 / 85 / 70 / 85 / 70 / 105
Ability: Magic Guard
Notable Moves: See above

Still playing on the gimmick of the line being Electric types that beat Grounds, Alolan Eel gains a very useful ability in Magic Guard which allows for cool interactions with Life Orb to boost its attacks with no drawback. Typing and bulk with Magic Guard makes it pretty good at beating the top tiers as well.

:urshifu: :urshifu-rapid-strike:
Concept: Alter Duo
Pokemon Name: Alolan Urshifu
Typing: Fighting/Steel
Stats: 100/130/100/63/60/97
Ability: Zero Gravity*
Notable Moves: Loses all Dark moves except Taunt; gains Bullet Punch, Iron Tail, Metal Claw, Meteor Mash, Flash Cannon, Astral Tackle*. Gets Gen 7 universals and Morning Sun

Pokemon Name: Alolan Urshifu Rapid Strike
Typing: Fighting/Ghost
Stats: 100/130/100/63/60/97
Ability: Zero Gravity*
Notable Moves: Loses all Water moves; gains Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Shadow Punch, Gravity Hammer*. Gets Gen 7 universals and Moonlight

Zero Gravity: The user's contact moves never miss.
Astral Tackle: 85 BP, 100 acc, 10 pp Physical Steel contact move. Physical move that hits the foe's SpDef.
Gravity Hammer: 80BP, 100 acc, 10pp Ghost move. Grounds targets hit by it (like Thousand Arrows).

So the bear duo, drawing on the Ursa constellations, is here as a cool alter duo with a lot of space references. They take on the secondary typing of their legendary counterpart and get a space-themed ability and signature move. Single Strike plays a lot like a stronger Lucario, with the ability to pull out adaptive damage to get around physical walls (though Steel's mediocre offensive typing may give this limited applications). Rapid Strike seems concerning due to its Marshadow typing and high attack, but with Plubia in the meta, it has a mon that is immune to its dual STAB and it lacks strong Ghost STAB (Gravity Hammer is its strongest). Also, Gravity Hammer's side effect is mediocre given that its only Ground move is Dig.

:genesect:
Concept: Steelbreaker
Pokemon Name: Alolan Genesect
Typing: Steel / Normal
Ability: Drive Change (This Pokemon's secondary typing is the same as its held drive, if any)
Stats: 96 / 90 / 100 / 120 / 100 / 94
Notable Moves: Loses: Ice Beam, Blizzard, Thunder, Shift Gear, Extreme Speed; gains: Morning Sun

Another form changer. This time, through using the Drives, you get a couple of cool of anti-Steel options. The base form is kinda just whatever, being a pivot that does usual Genesect things. The defensive typing is okay. Obviously, it excels at pivoting as that's kind of its thing. It gets an SR resistance to better do this now, though it has to run HP Ice since it lost Ice Beam.

Shock, Douse and Flame Drive all give you phenomenal anti-Steel typings that you can choose from in the builder (Steel/Electric, Steel/Water and Steel/Fire). Pick the one that meets your needs in your building. All of these also share a decent role as a Knock Off absorber as Drives cannot be knocked off.

Freeze Drive is actually kind of cool as an offensive Pokemon, as Techno Blast gives it a 120 BP Ice move, which is the strongest in the game. It can pair this with native access to Genesect's awesome coverage movepool and Rock Polish to be a pretty cool special breaker.

Will add more later.

Stat Changes: none
Typing Changes: Bug/Dark

New Pokémon Name: Armaldo-Alola
Concept Name: Altar of The Moone
Stat Changes: 75/135/90/40/80/75
Typing Changes: Bug/Dark
Ability Changes: Merciless/Swift Swim (HA)
Movepool Changes: -Rock Blast, -Rock Slide, -Stealth Rock, -Stone Edge, -Rock Polish +Fling, +Snarl, +Crunch, +Bite, +Night Daze, +Dark Pulse
Description: Armaldo but its faster AND stronger. the flavor here is that well, these are armaldo that evolved differently in the alola region and live in the Altar of The Moone. they evolved to be more aggresive hunters, so they had to be faster, wich also plays into their competitive roles as well, scarf users or band, or well just sd sweeper. it can be paired well with Toxapex due to it beeing bulky and beeing able to either set up toxic spikes or toxic opponents, letting alolan Armaldo deal with them easily thanks to STAB merciless Knock Off. beeing slow hopefully means its not too centralizing.

Typing Changes: Bug/Fairy
Ability Changes: Swarm/Magic Guard/Pixilate
Movepool Changes: Ledian-Alola's ENTIRE movepool +Moonblast, Draining Kiss, +Psychic, +Calm Mind, +Hyper Voice
Description: idk man, magic guard is good, pixilate is also good. it has alot of good options for it. reliable recovery, and a pretty good defensive typing. 95 speed also doesnt help it alot, but hey its already and improvement over regular Ledian-Alola with all of the things it gains. beeing Calm Mind and Psychic. overall good i guess. not really much flavor here, wich is sad.

Evolves into Leditan by using an Ice Stone.

Concept Name: Steelbreaker
Pokemon Name: Leditan (Ledian + Titan, titan being the name of Saturn’s moon that have ice mountains like Hawaii/Alola)

Learnset: Alolan Ledian’s learnset + Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Polar Blaster*, Sticky Web
Polar Blaster: Ice-type, Special, 120 BP, 24 PP, 100% accurate, 25% recoil damage. 10% chance of freezing the opponent.

Description: Beeg bug boi with an attitude, ready to bring misery to almost every Steel-type it come across, with only Kartana posing a possible two-way threat to it. With an intrinsic Inverse Battle effect on everyone as long as it is active with Inverting Ice, it have the might and resilience of a glacier. Thunderbolt is for BoltBeam coverage that remain helpful in Inverse, and that alone covers every possible Steel-type except Alolan Sandslash. It do brings a problem with being weak to the common Ground and less common Grass, but Thunderbolt coverage can dissuade their switch-in.

It is very slow and it’s Special Attack is average that might encourage set-ups, but keep in mind that in Inverse, Bug-type hit seven whopping type Super Effectively (which are Poison, Fighting, Fire, Ghost, Flying, Steel and Fairy), and having a resistance to Steel and Flying, and double resistance to Rock and Fire is a big boon as well.

Concept Name: Altar of the Sunne
Pokemon Name: Solrock-Alola
Typing: Rock / Steel
Stats: 80 HP / 95 Atk / 85 Def / 55 SpA / 55 SpD / 90 Speed

Typing: Rock / Steel
Stats: 90 HP / 110 Atk / 100 Def / 65 SpA / 65 SpD / 110 Speed
Ability: Sun Core
*Sun Core: Take half damage from Ghost-type and Dark-type attacks.
Learnset: Same as Alolan Solrock + Sunsteel Strike.

Description: Sun Core allows it to confortably switch into physical Ghost-type or Dark-type attacks, emulating Steel-type‘s resistance to these two types prior to Generation 6. 120 Attack and STAB Sunsteel Strike will also severely dent or even KO anything unprepared for it. However, the Fighting and Ground double weaknesses can prove crippling.

Though keep in mind, Sunsteel Strike ignores Abilities, so stuff like Solid Rock / Filter, Disguise, Sturdy, Unaware and other ignorable Abilities are not going to help you.

Concept Name: Altar of the Moone
Pokemon Name: Lunatone-Alola
Typing: Rock / Ghost
Stats: 80 HP / 55 Atk / 85 Def / 95 SpA / 85 SpD / 90 Speed

Quick design sketches
Competitive: The classic offensive base, defensive mega. Base Alolan Steelix takes advantage of Rock Head and its amazing speed to wallbreak using Flare Blitz and Head Smash, checking the likes of most Steel-types, granted they do not have any speed boosts. Mega Alolan Steelix checks Steel-types in a more defensive manner, using its typing to wall anything Heatran, Magearna, and Mega Mawile throws at it while using its massive physical bulk and Flame Body to wall Kartana's massive attack. It does have recovery, but it can only use it once every time it is sent out and loses many of its key resistances when losing its Fire-typing.

Pokemon: Alolan Mienfoo
Type:

Ability:

Stats: 45 / 95 / 45 / 60 / 40 / 65
Movepool: Mienfoo's Movepool + Ancient Power, Dark Pulse, Psychic, Recover, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw, Will-o-Wisp, -Detect, Focus Blast, Force Palm, High Jump Kick, Jump Kick, Quick Guard, Vital Throw

Pokemon: Alolan Mienshao
Type:

Ability: Inner Focus / Regenerator / Flare Boost
Stats: 65 / 135 / 50 / 105 / 50 / 105

Signature Move: Rubble Rouser |
| Physical | BP: 70 | Acc: 100 | PP: 32 | Power doubles if user is burn/poison/paralyzed.

Flavor: WIP
Competitive: Alolan Mienshao serves as a mixed wallbreaker that utilizes Flare Boost. On the special side, Mienshao has the fearsome Ghost-Fighting coverage, although that is all it offers. On the physical side, Mienshao's coverage is very wide, but if Mienshao is burnt in order to utilize Flare Boost, you will not be use much of these moves except Mienshao's signature move, which is essentially STAB Facade. So you could run a mixed Flare Boost set with Rubble Rouser and special moves or a physical Regen pivot set, like Mienshao normally runs. Mienshao's typing lets it hit most special walls neutrally with its physical Rock STAB and physical walls neutrally with its special Ghost STAB.

Concept: Fallen Hero
:ss/shelmet:
Pokemon: Alolan Shelmet
Type:

Stats: 30 / 35 / 40 / 85 / 45 / 70
Ability: Joust | When a Pokémon with this ability is in battle, the Pokémon that moves first deals 1.3x Damage. Switching counts as moving first.
Moves: Shelmet's movepool + Power Gem, Rock Blast, Rock Throw, Sandstorm, Smack Down, Stealth Rock

:ss/accelgor:
Pokemon: Alolan Accelgor
Type:

Stats: 80 / 70 / 40 / 100 / 60 / 145

Moves: Alolan Shelmet's movepool + Acid Spray, Agility, Drain Punch, Focus Blast, Knock Off, Laser Focus, Power Swap, Quick Attack, Reversal, Swift, Venom Drench

Pokemon: Shinobug
Type:

Stats: 100 / 85 / 45 / 115 / 65 / 160
Ability: Hidden Passage | This Pokemon takes x0.5 damage the turn it switches in
Moves: Alolan Accelgor's movepool + Brutal Swing, Close Combat, Dark Pulse, Fake Out, Gunk Shot, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Night Daze, Sludge Wave, U-turn

Flavor:
Competitive:
Shinobug is a super fast pivot with a bad typing. In order to remedy this typing, its ability lets it switch in to attacks a little better (changed from taking no damage cuz that's stupid lol). Shinobug also comes with a ton of utility, including Recover, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Encore, and STAB U-turn, along with a reliable STAB+coverage combo in Rock-Fighting (although you do have to run Power Gem to do that). Shinobug's movepool lets you tailor its moveset to your team's needs.

This thing has a number of options, from pivoting sets to bulky offensive to choiced to Calm Mind, but it’s set up in a way that allows it to answer a lot of the meta’s top threats right now regardless of which it runs. Solvent Shot is huge, as it does a ton of damage to the top 2 of Magearna and Kartana, as well as doing good damage to all of the other Steels going around. Immunities to Poison and Paralysis combined with Recover allow it to keep pressure on Clef and Pex throughout long games. Levitate’s protection aids you against mons like Thundi, Heatran, and EQ Celesteela.

Description: While base most likely won't be too good, it can still try a Band set, given how well it punishes switches. However, Mega is really good. It has a lot of potential switch-in opportunities due to it's bulk and typing, has SD and a pretty decent speed, so it's a pretty good sweeper. It'salso immune to Intimidate and can't get it's attack lowered by lele-k.

Work!
Now we will shift gears into our voting phase.

But first, before we go on cruise control, we have a slight detour: Council has decided to ban Magearna. Magearna's ability to run a million different sets and put in work with all of them has resulted in it having a chokehold on the meta. Gen 8 has also shown that even without Z-Moves, Magearna is a roadblock for many mons in the tier, and in some ways, it is actually better this Gen due to its one time nukes with Twinkle Tackle or Corkscrew Crash. For those reasons, we are sending Magearna off to the used car lot DLCmons Ubers (which doesn't exist).

We may now resume our regularly scheduled route towards voting.

Ok so we forgot to post the voting system, here it is.

For each concept, you can vote for up to 3 subs. Order doesn't matter.

For self-votes, you are allowed your numbers of subs/2, rounded up (so for 1 and 2 subs you get 1 self-vote, for 3 and 4 subs you get 2 and you get 3 for 5 and 6 subs)
