- Agility lets Koraidon outspeed the entire metagame outside of Agility Miraidon and Choice Scarf Flutter Mane. Bulk Up prevents Chien-Pao and Kingambit from revenge killing Koraidon with Sucker Punch and lets Koraidon clean up weakened teams by setting up on passive walls like defensive Great Tusk and Corviknight, but Swords Dance is an option to beat Miraidon and Toxapex outside of sun. Tera Blast provides Tera Ghost Koraidon with perfect neutral coverage and avoids Rocky Helmet damage, while Shadow Claw is a weaker option that does not require Koraidon to use Tera. Despite the lower base power, Shadow Claw still OHKOes Tera Fairy Flutter Mane after Terastallization. Drain Punch is the STAB attack of choice and lets Koraidon keep itself healthy during a sweep.
- The given EV spread maximizes Koraidon's attack while letting it outspeed Chi-Yu and take a Sucker Punch from Kingambit with a 40% Supreme Overlord boost while Terastallized into Ghost.
- Koraidon can use Tera Ghost to lose its initial weaknesses and give it perfect neutral coverage in Ghost- and Fighting-type STAB.
- Koraidon is a late-game sweeper that fits on offense teams. It can leverage its high natural bulk to set up on defensive walls like Ting-Lu, Corviknight, and Clodsire. If running Tera Blast, saving Terastallization is a must, as Koraidon cannot make significant progress without access to Tera Ghost attacks, and the new type lets it set up on Great Tusk much easier.
- Hyper offense leads pair well with Double Dance Koraidon. Entry hazard leads such as Glimmora and Froslass can wear down Koraidon's checks such as Great Tusk, Dondozo, and Toxapex. Grimmsnarl can set up dual screens to make it easier for Koraidon to set up and can use Taunt on hazard leads like Glimmora and Froslass to prevent them from setting up hazards. Shed Tail users like Orthworm and Cyclizar can pivot Koraidon in and give it an immunity to status.
- Setup sweepers like Flutter Mane, Chien-Pao, Miraidon, Iron Moth, and Kingambit appreciate Koraidon breaking down walls for them and pressure Koraidon's checks such as Toxapex and Great Tusk.
- Great Tusk utilizes Koraidon's sun to become a strong wallbreaker while also wearing down opposing Great Tusk and Toxapex and removing Toxic Spikes from the field.
