SS OU Double Shark Double Bark! Choice Band Sharkpedo team.

Keem

formerly Nezloe
:sharpedo: Wassup smogon I'm back with:garchomp: another RMT that I've also been delaying because why not:blobshrug:,anyway since ive been slowly drafting away from OU I needed some team ideas to keep myself engaged and interested,so I went ahead and asked Pinkacross for a team idea and fortunately this is the team idea I ended up with. Since I'm not the best at building I asked my good friend FangFoe to help me,as you can see in his past RMTs he is very creative when it comes to building so we put our two brains together to bring to you...Double Shark Double Bark.

:ss/sharpedo:
Etmopterus (Sharpedo) @ Choice Band
Ability: Speed Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flip Turn
- Crunch
- Close Combat
- Poison Jab
obviously the star of the show, decided to go with adamant on this bad boy due to the fact it can 2OHKO defensive clef with poison jab and I felt no need to run a +speed nature due to speed boost which already allows sharpedo to be a great mid to late game sweeper also sharpedos coverage is amazing and another thing I lioe about it is its able to outspeed/ rule over mons that would normally think it's switch into it like kart and pult, this is just proof that speed boost is an amazing ability especially on the right mon.

:ss/garchomp:
Kilimanjaro (Garchomp) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Scale Shot
What's the point of a sharpedo team if youre not gonna add another shark? Like cmon. Jokes aside looking at sharpedo we noticed it lost to a lot of electric types in the current metagame not to mention kartana is also annoying,so we added agrubauly one of the best offensive electric immunities aka garchomp, fire fang garchomp is so great as most of the time mons like Ferro expect SD,Stone edge,eq and scale shot on chomp but fire fang is easily one way to get rid of pest like ferrothorn which allows the team to not struggle with ferrothorn that could be extremely annoying to play against and play around if fire fang wansnt on chomp.

:ss/tapu-fini:
Aquafina (Tapu Fini) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Misty Surge
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 200 HP / 92 SpA / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Moonblast
- Trick
- Taunt
Ah yes tapu fini of the best mons for weavile match ups, looking at the initial core it is pretty scared of weavile specifically choice band weavile,so to stop weavile from going sicko mode on this team we decided to add tapu fini as scarf can revenge kill and can switch into weavile comfortably without worrying about how much damage it might take, tapu fini also offered the team misty terrain and considering sharpedo and garchomp dont like getting burned what else better to add than fini.

:ss/Corviknight:

Akechi (Corviknight) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost
Ah yes corviknight prob one of the most SLAPPLABLE mons on a team,I mean it's an amazing defensive option, great defogger, whats not to love about it? (:magnezone: hi)
We added this mon as an emergency for rillaboom and kartana since 2 mons fini and sharpedo dont like rillaboom and garchomp doesn't wanna take the damage from that terrain boosted grassy glide, corviknight also provides this team hazard removal like every other team with Corviknight so I won't go in depth lol.

:ss/landorus-therian:
Jafar (Landorus-Therian) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Lando seemed like a good fit as the team did not havr a ground immune allowing it to be freely spammed by earthquake users not only that but it provided a secondary electric immunity considering the team has 3 mons weak to electric types. Lando also provides pivot and stealth rocks here, classic defensive lando stuff.

:ss/dragapult:
Kamikaze (Dragapult) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower
Seeing that the team lacked special attacker abusers who else is better to add than pult? Incredibly strong mon breaking certain mons with specs shadow ball and making them flee from the field (:blissey: hi) and much more like uturn pivot and STAB specs drao meteors.

THATS IT THATS THE END.
oh wait I have to list threats Lmfao:mehowth:.

Threats/Problems:

:weavile: Weavile has established itself as an incredibly strong and threatening mon in the current SS OU metagame, this mon is more so an issue once fini is gone,it literally 5-0s which is pretty unfortunate

:kartana: I wouldn't say kartana is a threat but it definitely is tricky to play with. The SD life orb set is very hard to play vs once pult is gone and scarf can shock kill pult which is the scary thing about it,choice band kartana threatens corviknight with sacred sword forcing a extremely bold roost or a switch.

Should've named this team shark attack smh

Solid team. Enjoy the creativity. The only holes in see are caused by sharpedo, which happens when building with a RU(?) Mon in OU. The only thing I'm really concerned about is being overwhelmed by Weavile before shark 1 can get the ball rolling. Something to consider would be yache Berry on garchomp, as an unboosted Ice Shard doesn't kill from full barring a crit (does 59-70.5 to -1 garchomp). This alleviates fini and corv a bit and gives shark 2 a better chance at sweeping.

Another change to consider would be using either a full spdef Lando, or using a mixed spread. I'm not seeing a lot of koko counter play if it's able to get in. 148 spdef makes kokos Dazzling Gleam a 4HKO after Leftovers, and still gives you 112+ Def EVs to cushion against garchomp and kartana if Corv gets overwhelmed or trapped. Just something to consider since it can click tbolt on most of your team and no spdef means the grounds get chipped pretty quickly. Full spdef just makes koko sad. I don't think the speed is necessary here given the double ground core to take on heatran.

Hopefully these changes help. Like I said above, I respect the double shark and really like the team

Here's a couple things you might want to consider. This team is very nice ngl but Clone is right, should have named it shark attack

Anyway, since Weavile is a threat, you might want to use yache berry on Garchomp. I cannot emphasize how much I love seeing a Weavile who thinks it can stop Garchomp's sweep cold and ends up falling short

The other thing is maybe consider running spdef on Lando because Heatran just easily picks it off one by one, assuming magma miss hits of course. There's also little need for physical defense Lando since the only common threat it checks is Garchomp and it's definitely not intimidating Urshifu or Weavile

Love the team man, extremely fun.

Sharpedo is great at luring in and chipping a lot of mons that think they can switch in like ferro and fini, which can be troublesome to switch into if they can get in for free but that can be stopped by u turn pivoting most of the time.

Honestly have not found the Weavile match up too hard as nothing lets it set up and fini and corv are usually enough to stop it, but the hail match up is pretty bad. Freezy dry is super effective against 5 out of the 6 mons and the 6th doesnt even resist it so even nine tails becomes hard to switch into as corv is free set up for something under veil. Arctozolt can also 1 shot every member on the team with just its stabs. Kyurem match up is bad as well for the same reasons.

But against the general meta of BO/Balance it does great with lots of room to outplay. Have really enjoyed using it on the ladder
