Mew @ Sitrus Berry / Lum Berry
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Cosmic Power
- Body Press
- Stored Power
- Roost

In stark contrast to its more common sets, this Mew set can be a game-ending sweeper on teams that properly support it. Cosmic Power alongside its great bulk makes Mew rather hard to break through, especially with recovery from Roost and possibly Sitrus Berry. It also makes Stored Power and Body Press considerably powerful, and the two attacks have great type coverage. When combined with Mew being nearly unkillable, this offense can win games after a few boosts. Mew's Speed tier is also great, allowing it to set up before the majority of the metagame can attack it, particularly Urshifu-R, which would otherwise ignore its boosted defenses with critical hits. Mew's typing allows it to set up on a lot of Pokemon, it must be healthy to do so given its lacking resistances. It can also catch opponents by surprise due to Mew's high amount of sets along with the fact it shares similar partners with the more common Tailwind set. This Mew set appreciates common forms of offensive support, like Fake Out from Zeraora or Rillaboom and entry hazards, but Tapu Fini's Misty Terrain is particularly common, ensuring Toxic doesn't halt Mew's sweep.

  • I don't like the phrase "Tapping into its vast movepool" because it doesn't really say anything about this specific set at all nor does it feel like the right way to reference how Mew has a lot of variability. Either cut it or rewrite this into something else that more directly contrasts it from support Mew e.g. "Unlike typical support Mew sets..."
  • Rewrite the part about "threatening offensive pressure" to portray the damage as an endgoal; the "also" there can make it seem secondary. I personally think the part about how Mew can get a lot of damage to quickly pressure (while being unkillable) should be more strongly worded because it's a lot of why Mew is a "game ending sweeper"
  • I wouldn't say it has a "good defensive typing" because it barely resists anything nor does it make taking any hits easier; while the point about generally being neutral to stuff is good, I think you should lean more to the point of how it is very reliant on its natural bulk to get going.
  • Add Misty Terrain for recommend, its in a lot of demon mew comps particularly for blocking Tox

In stark contrast to its more common sets, this Mew set is a potentially game ending can be a game-ending sweeper on teams that properly support it. Its great bulk when combined with Cosmic Power makes it rather hard to break after multiple boosts. When combined with the instant recovery of Roost and potential mid-turn recovery of Sitrus Berry, Mew can stick around for a while. It possesses threatening offensive pressure after it gets set up, as Stored Power and Body Press have great type coverage, while both are considerably powerful after Mew gets set up. Cosmic Power alongside its great bulk makes Mew rather hard to break through, especially with recovery from Roost and possibly Sitrus Berry. It also makes Stored Power and Body Press considerably powerful, and the two attacks have great type coverage. Mew's typing allows it to set up on a lot of Pokemon, but requires it to be healthy to do so thanks to the lack of it must be healthy to do so given its lacking resistances. It can also catch opponents by surprise (RC) due to Mew's high amount of sets along with the fact it number of viable sets, and this one shares similar partners with the more common (I assume?) Tailwind set. This Mew set appreciates Fake Out support from the likes of Zeraora or Rillaboom in order to set up more comfortably. It also appreciates entry hazards like Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes, as they help it break past the opposing team easier. Tapu Fini's Misty Terrain is also common on teams with this Mew due to it blocking Toxic, which would otherwise halt Mew's sweep. common forms of offensive support, like Fake Out from Zeraora or Rillaboom and entry hazards, but Tapu Fini's Misty Terrain is particularly common, ensuring Toxic doesn't halt Mew's sweep. (I imagine this makes sense? change the wording around if it downplays or overexaggerates how common tapu fini is as offensive support)
