The deadline is Sunday, April 15, at 11:59 PM Eastern time (GMT -4).
A few quick notes/reminders:
  • Follow Smogon's Tournament rules (no ghosting, no leaking teams/sets in chat, etc)
  • All matches are Best of 1
  • All replays must be posted - the same policy regarding replays used in Seasonals will be used here. All matches without a replay will be treated as a double game loss.
  • I will grant activity wins or extensions if I have to, but only as a last resort. Do your best to get your games done on time!
  • Substitutions are allowed, but be sure to let the host, opposing player, and opposing manager know ASAP if one needs to happen. If both managers agree to switching matchups around in the same tier to accomodate timezone issues that is fine, but send me a PM on Smogon including both managers so that I know it's legit.

Croven vs Demantoid

Croven and Demantoid are pretty evenly matched when it comes to playing abilities (Croven's been notably fire lately) but I think Demantoid will have an edge with teambuilding and, all other factors being equal, I expect Demantoid to win by bringing a better team.

miltankmilk vs SMB

Also a pretty even matchup. SMB has a tendancy to bring some pretty wild and creative stuff, and he's on a team that will incubate his teambuilding tenancies. miltankmilk on the other hand builds a lot of teams that are adept at dismantling wild strats. this match could go either way but my gut says SMB.

Vallex vs Z strats

Vallex kind of came out of nowhere and ended up with a decently deep seasonals run on his first try. He presumably was a self-made success in seasonals, so he's only going to get stronger with a team of experienced doubles mains in the back to support him. Not to discount Z strats as he's a solid player and builder, but my gut here says Vallex.

Memoric vs zaaya

Memoric has a lot of experience playing pretty much all Doubles tiers, and he's been pretty active in the DUU community as of late.

DaAwesomeDude1 vs Mr.GX

Could go either way. Dad1 is getting back into the scene and shaking off his rust, but I do think Mr. GX is a lot more skilled and consistent than people give him credit for, and I can see him having good synergy with the rest of his team in the teambuilding stage. Just please build a new team that Dad1 can't scout out from your past seasonal runs and you should be good to go.

I don't know enough about BW to weigh in on this some im just gonna ride the lightning on this one

Will probably see interesting teams from both. Chase has more recent experience in the meta while BLOOD TOTEM is a bit rusty, although I wouldn't really consider either to be 100% current with recent metagame trends.

The Idiot Ninja vs EmbCPT

EmbCPT had a decent SPL run and builds interesting teams. I don't really know enough about The Idiot Ninja to comment on how he'll perform, but my gut says EmbCPT on this one.

Level 51 vs nvakna

Pretty evenly matched, and I expect wild teams from both, but a nvakna 50/50 always goes in nvakna's favour so I'm going with nvakna on this one.

Kaori vs emiforbes

Kaori was a really solid player and builder in XY, even though the Swagger ban forced him to revamp 75% of his teams.

Lunar. vs Biosci

bw predates me so idk. biosci seems like a weird BW pick but idk

i clicked on the team i wanted to select for sending the challenge and in that exact fraction of a second he sends the chall himself and the button below my cursor went from "embcpt obliterator" to "accept using the latest team in your builder"

gg but this is not a fun way to debut
