Dragalge's unique typing, neutrality to Fairy, above average Special Defense, and ability to take on threatening Fairy-types such as Mega Diancie, Clefable, and Tapu Koko make it a great addition to Dragon teams. Poison Barb guarantees that Sludge Wave OHKOes threats to Dragon teams such as Mega Diancie after Stealth Rock or chip damage. Dragalge also has a great utility move, Toxic Spikes, which not only helps in breaking down Fairy-type teams but is also effective against Normal-type teams as Dragalge can pressure Staraptor, preventing it from safely Defogging in fear of getting OHKOed. Fairy- and Normal-type teams are tough match ups for Dragon teams and Toxic Spikes make them significantly more even. Mega Latias and Mega Altaria are great teammates as both can take advantage of Toxic Spikes wearing down their checks such as Chansey, Hippowdon, and Porygon2. Garchomp and Dragonite can break Steel-types like Excadrill and Heatran for Dragalge as it is threatened by Excadrill and walled by Heatran.

Dragalge's Poison typing makes it neutral to Fairy-type moves. A unique typing combined with above average Special Defense let it take on threats such as Mega Diancie, Clefable and Tapu Koko with Adaptability boosted Sludge Wave for Dragon teams.

Poison Barb as an item makes sure that threats to Dragon teams such as Mega Diancie are OHKOed most of the time with Sludge Wave.

Dragalge is not just limited to offensive use for Dragon teams as it brings a also has a great utility move in the form of Toxic Spikes which not only helps in breaking down Fairy-type teams but is also effective against Normal-type teams, making the match up easier for Dragon teams to deal with.
- would also add how it can pressure normal's defogger in staraptor, not allowing it to safely defog in fear of getting OHKOed. imo thats p big for normal matchup. also would rephrase the second part to make it clear that normal and fairy are tough mus for dragon and toxic spikes makes it significantly more even
