[SET COMMENTS]
Dragapult makes an amazing setup sweeper with with its decent 120 Attack stat and a skyscraping 142 Speed stat. Phantom Force paired with Ghostium Z and Dragon Dance packs a punch and allows Dragapult to devastate foes while also skipping the two-turn nature of Phantom Force. It also allows Dragapult to OHKO Clefable and offensive Great Tusk with a +1 Never-Ending Nightmare, if Adamant. Dragon Darts helps Dragapult beat Dragonite from full HP, as well as doing respectable damage to most of the tier at +1. Substitute allows Dragapult to set up Dragon Dance multiple times on passive Pokemon like Alomomola and Slowbro. Will-O-Wisp, on the other hand, is used to burn Pokemon like Kingambit, Mega Tyranitar, and Zamazenta when in a pinch, allowing teammates to take advantage of them. Both of these moves also deny Sucker Punch from Kingambit. Clear Body is run to avoid stat-lowering effects such as Landorus-T's Intimidate. Adamant Dragapult struggles with faster foes like Zamazenta, +1 Adamant Dragonite, and Weavile, the latter of which it Speed ties with; thus, running a Jolly nature is helpful is these scenarios.
Dragapult best fits on hyper offense teams while also being able to find places on offense teams quite often. It mostly struggles with Pursuit trappers like Kingambit and Mega Tyranitar and faster Pokemon like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele and Booster Energy Speed Iron Valiant. Dragapult pairs extremely well with Fighting-types like Zamazenta and Great Tusk, which pressure the aforementioned Pursuit trappers. It also pairs well with Fairy-types like Iron Valiant, which are able to threaten Kingambit and Mega Tyranitar as well as suppress other Dragon-types like opposing Dragapult and Dragonite. Since Dragapult is able to at least either trade with a Pokemon or heavily dent anything with Ghostium Z in a given match, Pokemon that appreciate walls like Clefable and Toxapex being chipped like Dragapult as a partner; Pokemon like Swords Dance Kingambit and Volcarona pair well with Dragapult in the aforementioned scenarios. Volcarona is another great partner since it is able to handle Choice Specs Iron Valiant with ease, allowing Dragapult to wallbreak freely. If using Will-O-Wisp, Pokemon that appreciate foes like Zamazenta, Kingambit, Mega Tyranitar, and Hisuian Samurott getting burned greatly value Dragapult as a partner. Steel-types like Gholdengo and Melmetal make good partners for Dragapult, since they are able to handle threatening Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Tapu Koko.
