Poison
========

Drapion is a great revenge killer on Poison teams because of its decent Speed and crucial Psychic immunity. Its secondary Dark typing provides STAB moves to deal with threatening Psychic-types like Latios and Victini, and defensively, it leaves Drapion with only a Ground weakness. Pursuit allows Drapion to trap and revenge kill Psychic- and Ghost-types like Victini and Gengar, while quirky coverage moves in Rock Slide and Ice Fang allow Drapion to revenge kill faster threats to Poison teams like Volcarona and Landorus. Unfortunately, faster Choice Scarf users like Darmanitan and Terrakion can KO Drapion. Furthermore, a poor Attack stat makes it difficult for Drapion to pick up KOs on Pokemon like Mega Gallade and Mega Garchomp.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf (Poison)
move 1: Pursuit
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Ice Fang
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Battle Armor
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Pursuit traps Psychic- and Ghost-types like Deoxys-S, Latios, and Gengar. Knock Off removes Assault Vest from Tornadus-T, Eviolite from users like Porygon2 and Chansey, and Leftovers from defensive Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Rotom-W. Rock Slide hits Bug-, Flying-, and Fire-types, notably Volcarona, Mega Pinsir, and Mega Charizard Y. Ice Fang targets Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus, Garchomp, and Hydreigon. Choice Scarf allows Drapion to outspeed Pokemon like Garchomp, Dragonite, Mega Gallade, and Victini after a V-create. An Adamant nature is used over a Jolly nature for better damage rolls, such as a possible OHKO on Landorus with Ice Fang after chip damage.

All of Drapion's teammates value its ability to revenge kill threatening Psychic-types like Latios and Victini. Wallbreakers like Nidoking and Gengar are appreciated to check physically defensive Pokemon that Drapion has a hard time getting past. Nidoking can check Pokemon like Skarmory, Mega Venusaur, and Sableye, and thanks to its amazing coverage, it can cover a wide range of types like Steel, Flying, and Electric. Additionally, it provides Stealth Rock and an Electric immunity. Gengar forms a Psychic-breaking core alongside Drapion. It can take out threats like Slowbro, Hydreigon, and Diggersby and notably use Substitute on Chansey to decimate Normal teams. Mega Venusaur is a great defensive tank that can take on Ground- and Water-types like Hippowdon, Mega Swampert, and Keldeo and provide Leech Seed recovery. Tentacruel provides the team with Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin support, and it wears down special threats like Mega Charizard Y and Heatran. Crobat provides a Ground immunity, U-turn to pivot teammates in, and Taunt to prevent entry hazards from wearing down Drapion. Additionally, its Flying typing allows it to check Fighting- and Bug-types like Mega Gallade, Hawlucha, and Volcarona.

Poison
--------
Earthquake targets Steel-, Poison-, and Rock-types like Magnezone, Heatran, opposing Drapion, and Mega Diancie. Crunch does more damage to Pokemon that have lost their items from a previous Knock Off or Colbur Berry consumption, and more damage to Mega Evolutions such as Mega Latias. Toxic can be used to cripple defensive Pokemon like Mandibuzz and Porygon2 on the switch. A Jolly nature is usable to outspeed Mega Aerodactyl and certain Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Excadrill. However, using a Jolly nature makes it even harder for Drapion to pick up KOs on the likes of Mega Garchomp and Mega Gallade. Poison Jab is an option to let Drapion do more damage to Dark-resistant Pokemon like Whimsicott and Weavile, but Drapion's teammates can usually handle such Pokemon well.

Checks and Counters
===================

Poison
--------
**Dark-resistant Pokemon**: Fighting-, Dark-, and Fairy-types like Keldeo, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Diancie easily wall Drapion's attacks and retaliate in their own way. Furthermore, due to Drapion not running a Poison-type STAB move, it has a harder time dealing with Fairy-types like Mega Gardevoir and Azumarill.

**Physically Defensive Pokemon**: Pokemon like Mandibuzz, Porygon2, and Swampert can survive multiple hits from Drapion and only risk losing their item from Knock Off.

**Status**: Burns nullify Drapion's longevity and lower its Attack, making it harder for Drapion to pick up KOs. Paralysis cripples Drapion's Speed, allowing it to be easily KOed by wallbreakers like Keldeo and Nidoking.

**Entry Hazards**: Stealth Rock and Spikes wear down Drapion. Sticky Web negates Drapion's Choice Scarf, making it slower than threats like Mega Pinsir and Mega Diancie.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon like Excadrill in sand, Choice Scarf Darmanitan, and Choice Scarf Heracross can outspeed and KO Drapion.

[OVERVIEW]
* Drapion is a great revenge killer Poison has access to its decent Attack and Speed and defensive typing only leaving a Ground weakness. This sentence looks like it could use some work. I'd recommend moving the details of its defensive typing to the next bullet point.

[SET COMMENTS]
* Pursuit allows Drapion to punish switches and trap Pokemon like Gengar, Deoxys-S, and Latios.
* Knock Off is its Drapion's most powerful STAB move, and it can cripple Assault Vest Tornadus-T, Eviolite users like Porygon2 and Chansey, and walls such as that removes items like Leftovers from Ferrothorn and Rotom-W.
* Rock Slide hits Bug-, Flying- and Fire-types, notably, Volcarona, Mega Pinsir, and Mega Charizard Y. I'd still like to see Mega Pinsir here even though it has low usage, since it poses a huge a huge threat to Poison teams.
* Ice Fang targets Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus, Garchomp, Dragonite, and Hydreigon.
* Choice Scarf allows Drapion to outspeed Pokemon like Keldeo, Garchomp, and Victini after a V-create. Replace the Keldeo example with something else. Poison teams have 2-3 checks to it, and this Drapion set can't do much to Keldeo aside from getting rid of its Choice Specs.
* Avoid mindlessly switching Drapion into Knock Off users like Mew and Sableye as it is needed to revenge kill aforementioned Pokemon. I'm not too experienced with writing usage tips but this seems fairly obvious to me. I'd wait for input from another QC member before doing anything with it unless you agree.

* All of Drapion's teammates value its ability to revenge kill threatening Psychic-types like Mega Gallade and Victini. In return, its teammates can check Fairy-types like Azumarill and Mega Diancie since Drapion isn't using Poison coverage. Drapion needs Mega Gallade heavily chipped to revenge kill it.
* Gengar can take out threats like Slowbro, Hydreigon, and Jirachi and notably use Substitute on Chansey to cteam the Normal matchup. I'd replace this since Drapion doesn't really need help to take on Jirachi.
* Tentacruel provides the team with Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin support, and checks wears down special threats like Mega Charizard Y and Heatran. Tentacruel doesn't necessarily check either of these Pokemon.
* Scolipede can sweep late game and optionally set up to break through defensive Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Jirachi better. Refer to the earlier comment made about Jirachi. Honestly, it's pretty hard to fit both Drapion and Scolipede on the same team since they perform somewhat similar roles.

Other Options
=============
* Poison Jab
* Crunch
(mention Colbur Berry users like Reuniclus and Pokemon that take less damage from Knock Off such as Mega Latias)
* Toxic can be used to cripple defensive Pokemon like Manidbuzz Mandibuzz and Porygon2 on the switch.
* A Jolly nature is a niche option to outspeed more Mega Aerodactyl and certain Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Heracross Excadrill.

Overview:
- Imo emphasize and talk about the Psychic immunity first before mentioning its revenge killing since that's the main reason I'd ever use Drapion
- In addition to its middling Speed, talk about its poor Attack stat as a negative. P sure adamant ice fang does like 70 max to Mega Chomper lmfao

Set comments:
"Pursuit allows Drapion to punish switches and trap Psychic- and Ghost-types like Deoxys-S, Latios, and Gengar."

"In return, its teammates can check Fairy-types like Azumarill and Mega Diancie since Drapion isn't using Poison coverage. "
- Idk if this is necessary, I'd remove it
- Talk about the great Psychic-breaking core formed by Gengar and Drapion

OO:
"A Jolly nature is a niche to outspeed Mega Aerodactyl and certain Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Excadrill."
- Note that the drop in power is noticeable.

C&C:
- Since every other hazard is mentioned, I think Sticky Web should too since it prevents Drapion from revenge killing Mega Pinsir, an important threat. We can either split residual damage into status and entry hazards or toss Sticky Web into the paralysis section and rename it "Speed Reduction" or something. 2nd option might be better but idk, pick whichever you think fits better.
