NU Druddigon (revamp) [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

Status
Not open for further replies.
[OVERVIEW]

Druddigon is a special utility Pokemon due its ability to get up Stealth Rock up versus Xatu because of Mold Breaker. Its mono-Dragon typing allows it to resist Water-, Electric-, Grass-, and Fire-type moves, which, when combined with its great bulk, can help it take care of the bigger threats in the tier, such as Slowbro, Incineroar, and Heliolisk. While slow, Druddigon is faster than a number of other Stealth Rock setters such as Steelix and can use Taunt on them to shut them down. However, Druddigon's poor Speed tier, which means it is outrun by a lot of the tier, along with lack of reliable recovery makes it easy to wear down and takes a big toll out of Druddigon, especially when it's not running Leftovers. This mediocre longevity also means that it is forced to rely on teammates like Vaporeon and Audino to remain healthy with Wish support. Even Druddigon's mono-Dragon typing leaves it susceptible to frequent Ice- and Fairy-type moves, which allows top-tier threats such as Comfey, Whimsicott, Sneasel, and Vanilluxe to easily wear it down or KO it. Also, with its mediocre damage output, Druddigon tends to get very passive in the long run.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock is the basic utility Druddigon needs to wear down opposing Pokemon that come in, and it wears down Ice-types effectively, which Druddigon has a weakness to. Mold Breaker also allows Druddigon to set it up against Xatu, which makes up much of its niche. Toxic is run to wear down Pokemon and rack up more damage over time, which helps in the long run against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Comfey, and Xatu. Glare is able to incapacitate fast Pokemon such as Sneasel and Sceptile and Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Passimian without fail. Earthquake is mainly for Steel-types such as Silvally-Steel, allowing Druddigon to punish its Defog, and Electric-types, which cannot be paralyzed by Glare. Earthquake is also useful due to Mold Breaker allowing it to hit Rotom and Vikavolt and its ability to weaken most Stealth Rock setters such as Diancie, Rhydon, and Steelix. Protect with Leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon, allowing to to get recovery it may need in the long run. It also allows Druddigon to scout for Choice Scarf users, such as Passimian and Vanilluxe. Dragon Tail is used to phaze other Pokemon to rack up damage with Stealth Rock. This move also forces out potential setup Pokemon such as Block Slowbro and Swords Dance Incineroar, which makes Druddigon less passive then other entry hazard setters. It can also run Taunt over Glare to prevent opposing Stealth Rock from being set up by Pokemon such as Steelix or setup from slower Pokemon like Calm Mind Slowbro, but this doesn't end up always being reliable due to Druddigon's lack of Speed.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense EVs with an Impish nature allow Druddigon to maximize its physical bulk to better take on physical attackers such as Passimian, Incineroar, and Cincinno. Leftovers gives Druddigon the longevity it needs, since it doesn't have reliable recovery, giving several opportunities to switch into Pokemon such as Delphox, Slowbro, and Sceptile. Rocky Helmet is able to rack up chip damage onto Pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential spinners, and other hard-hitting physical attackers. Mold Breaker is to ensure that Druddigon can set up Stealth Rock against Xatu and potentially cripple it. Running maximum Special Defense is an alternative option that allows Druddigon to soak up special damage and give it that longevity it needs against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Heliolisk, Delphox, and Sceptile.

Usage Tips
========

Druddigon should be used early-game to set up Stealth Rock as its primary goal. Stealth Rock can always be set up quickly unless a Taunt user is on the field, as Druddigon is unbothered by Xatu's Magic Bounce. It's in your best interest to start spreading status to fast, frail Pokemon, such as Comfey and Sceptile, after getting the chance of getting Stealth Rock up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns. It is also used to check Pokemon it answers by virtue of its defensive typing and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, and defensive Incineroar, and it can take advantage of these Pokemon to set up Stealth Rock. Dragon Tail prevents setup from threats such as Swords Dance Incineroar, Calm Mind Delphox, and Calm Mind Slowbro while also being able to get important chip damage on them. This can also be used to get chip damage on wallbreakers such as Vanilluxe switching in on a predicted Stealth Rock. Taunt gives Druddigon the option to shut down other slower Stealth Rock such as Steelix or Palossand, while also being able to get up its own Stealth Rock and potentially crippling it with status. Druddigon can also pressure entry hazard removers such as Silvally-Steel and Rotom and even cripple them with Glare or Toxic. It can also pressure spinners with chip damage from Rocky Helmet and status and really force the opponent to think twice before using Rapid Spin. Scald burns can basically render Druddigon useless, so it's important to be wary of that.

Team Options
========

Generally, you want to have something to cover Druddigon's weaknesses. Fire-types like Incineroar, Delphox, and Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses, and in return Druddigon even covers their weakness to Water-type moves. Another option would be pairing Druddigon with a cleric such as Vaporeon, with the two of them covering each other's weaknesses, or Mega Audino, which is a much bulkier Pokemon with Regenerator before it Mega Evolves, and both of these Pokemon also have access to Heal Bell, which gets rid of being weakened by status and getting worn down so easily. Adding a Spikes setter such as Garbodor or Accelgor can be another option, since Xatu easily gets worn down by Druddigon, and Spikes also synergize with Dragon Tail well. You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wallbreaker, since it is able to cripple faster Pokemon with Glare, with Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, and even Clawitzer having a nice pairing with this Pokemon. Silvally-Steel has great synergy with Druddigon, as they both cover each others weaknesses while Silvally-Steel also has a pivot option to get Druddigon back in. Reliable Fairy-type checks such as Vileplume and Golbat are nice options, as they serve as a safe switch-in most of the time. Setup sweepers and breakers such as Mismagius, Sceptile, and Delphox also appreciate Stealth Rock always being on the field, weakening foes like Incineroar and Slowbro, as well as other defensive answers to breakers.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Due to Druddigon's decent Attack and access to Sheer Force and Mold Breaker, it can also run a more offensive Stealth Rock set consisting of three of Iron Head, Outrage, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, and Sucker Punch as well as Stealth Rock; however, due to its vulnerability to Scald burns, poor Speed, and lack of recovery options, it doesn't make the best offensive Stealth Rock setter and is often forced to run Sucker Punch, which isn't reliable most of the time. Rough Skin paired with Rocky Helmet allows Druddigon to heavily chip physical Pokemon such as Passimian and Incineroar. Generally, though, this makes Druddigon more vulnerable to Xatu, thus losing its niche. Roseli Berry can also be run to take a Fairy-type attack as well as hit something hard with Iron Head or Gunk Shot in return, but this is for the most part a waste of a moveslot and item slot for a one-time attack.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Prominent Fairy-types such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott usually force Druddigon out. Diancie and Comfey can also use it as setup fodder, since they are immune to Dragon Tail, which is why it is important to run a status move. Mega Audino reliably comes in and walls this set due to being immune to Dragon Tail and having Heal Bell to get rid of status that was potentially spread throughout the opponent's team.

**Ice-types**: Offensive Ice-types such as Vanilluxe and Sneasel can easily OHKO or do massive damage to Druddigon with their respective STAB moves. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set up Stealth Rock and dish out massive damage with Icicle Crash.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Since Druddigon doesn't commonly run a lot of Special Defense EVs, it is very easily worn down by super effective, neutral, or even some resisted special attacks. Pokemon such as Choice Specs Heliolisk, Delphox, and even Accelgor are good examples of this.

**Status**: Toxic wears down Druddigon easily, since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless due to an Attack decrease.

kay said I had to give this its first look, so I'm gonna do that
[OVERVIEW]
  • Druddigon is a special utility pokemon due to having a mixture of mold breaker, stealth rocks, and other status moves (such as glare and toxic) which is generally important for breaking magic bounce and most of the time being able to get rocks up I think it'd just be better to say here something along the lines of "Druddigon's niche lies in its ability to set up Stealth Rock versus Xatu thanks to Mold Breaker". That's pretty much why you run it.
  • Being mono dragon allows it to resist water, electric, grass, and fire which when added with its great bulk can take of the likes of the bigger threats in the tier. It's amazing bulk allows list here some examples of the Pokemon Druddigon checks (Incineroar, Slowbro, etc.)
  • However Druddigon's poor speed tier which is outran but a lot of the tier, along with not having reliable recovery makes it easy to wear down and can take a big toll out of druddigon especially when ran without leftovers. its mediocre longevity means what? Is this bit meant to be here? I guess you could talk about how its poor longevity means it gets worn down easily and forces it to rely on teammates like Vaporeon to remain healthy (Wish support).
  • Even Druddigon's mono dragon leaves it susceptible to the frequent Ice- and Fairy-type moves. which allow the likes of top tier threats such as: comfey, whimsicott, sneasel, and Vanilluxe to easily wear it down or KO it with ease. Comfey and Sneasel are iffy mentions to me given their susceptibility to being crippled by Druddigon via Toxic and Glare, respectively. You could extent mention of its weaknesses to include Dragon-type moves and mention Guzzlord and Alolan Exeggutor, or just slap on a mention of Diancie, since it doesn't care a whole lot about Toxic if its offensive.
  • I think a big part of Druddigon's niche also lies in being faster than many common Stealth Rock users and being able to use Taunt on them to shut them down. This should probably be noted.
  • Its passivity is also an issue that should be addressed up here imo.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

  • Stealth rocks is the basic utility it needs to wear down opposing pokemon that are coming in. Maybe give some special mention to wearing down Ice-types, since they may try to switch into an EQ.
  • Glare is a great status move as it it 100% accurate as its able to incapacitate pokemon that need speed such as Sneasel and Sceptile, or scarfed mons such as delphox and passimian
  • earthquake is mainly for those pesky steel types and electric types which cannot be paralyzed by glare. Earthquake is also useful due to having mold breaker so it can hit rotom or vikavolt. EQ also lets Druddigon beat on opposing Rocks setters that are weak to it like Diancie, Rhydon, etc.
  • Dragon tail to faze out other pokemon to rack up damage with dragon tail and stealth rocks. This move also prevents set potential set-up and makes this pokemon way less passive then other rockers. mention setup sweepers you can stop with Dragon Tail; not every one of them is able to be phazed out.
  • move Taunt from OO to here and give it a description as to what it does.
  • Talk about what Toxic does here.
Set Details
========
Max hp / Max defense allows druddigon to maximize its defensive bulk. Mix maximizing the bulk with rocky helmet allows other mons that physically hit it do be chipped for possibly future damage that is needed. Mold breaker is to ensure that you get your rocks up vs the likes of xatu and potentially cripple it with Toxic and Glare. Mold breaker also helps with pokemon with levitate such as rotom so that earthquake can hit. Toxic can also be ran over glare to wear down other pokemon in the long run even though you can get potential misses. this bit should be in the moves section.

Rocky Helmet is definently the prefered choice of its item since its able to rack up chip from pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential rapid spinners, and other hard hitting physical attackers. when matched with maxed out bulk it makes for an easier time for druddigon to take big hits and give other defensive answers a break. You could also pair rocky helmet with rough skin to accumalte more damage and really punish physical pivot pokemon and max out that damage. remove Rough Skin mention. It takes away Druddigon's niche.

Usage Tips
========

Should be used early game to come in and start spreading damage, status, and putting down stealth rocks. It's in your best intrest to start spreading status to fast, frail pokemon after getting the chance of getting stealth rocks up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns. It also is used to check its natural resistances and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, Defensive Incineroar, and can take advantage of these pokemon to set up stealth rocks.
  • talk about Taunt usage here
  • Dragon Tail prevents stuff like Delphox from staying in and sweeping my team
  • In general Druddigon can pressure many forms of entry hazard removal, whether it be with status or Earthquake pressuring Rotom and Steelvally (hell even Helmet dissuades spinners)

Team Options
========

  • Generally you want to have something to cover its weaknesses. Fire types like Delphox or Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses and in return even cover 1 their weaknesses being water.
  • Another option would be a wish passer in Vaporeon which can wish pass to Druddigon to recover while also being able to cover each others weaknesses.
  • You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wall breaker since it is able to cripple faster pokemon with glare. Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, or even Clawitzer have a nice pairing with this pokemon.
  • This section is very empty and needs expansion imo
  • I would address Mega Audino in the Vaporeon bullet and expand on how the both of them can also supply Druddigon with Heal Bell support, which is important given Druddigon's vulnerability to status.
  • you could address spikes users alongside Druddigon to form a hazard stacking core
  • perhaps expand a bit more on the defensive usefulness of Druddigon to specific Pokemon. Druddigon checks Electric- and Grass-types for Vaporeon is an example.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Due to Druddigon's decent attack and also having sheer force and mold breaker you can also run a more offensive stealth rocker consisting of 3 attacks consisting three of Iron head, Outrage, Fire punch, Thunder punch or Sucker punch + stealth rocks ,however due to it being prone to scald burns, poor speed, and lack of recovery it doesn't make the best offensive rocker and most of the time forces Druddigon to run sucker punch which isn't reliable most of the time.
  • You can also run a bulky offensive sheer force set with Life Orb since it doesn't take damage from life orb while also being able to dish out high damage but this set is still prone to scald burns and again, not having a good enough speed tier to keep up with other hard hitting physical pokemon.
  • You can also run taunt over dragon tail in the defensive set to prevent other set-up or other stealth rocks but doesn't end up always being reliable while dragon tail does damage and fazes other pokemon out. remove; this should be on the main set as a slash
  • These are also other options of running Sp.d to take special damage better but it makes its rocky helmet much more useless eh to be fair you'd just run Leftovers on this sort of set anyhow (or Roseli Berry even). I'd remove the part about Helmet.
  • Roseli Berry should get a mention, preferably mentioning how you can run it alongside a coverage move for Fairy-types to lure and KO them.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy types such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott have a big presence in the current meta and usually force Druddigon out. Diancie or comfey can also use it as set-up fodder since dragon tail cannot be used to phaze it out which is why its important to run a status move. Mega Audino reliably comes in and also walls this set due to being immune to dragon tail and having heal bell to get rid of status that were potentially spread throughout the team.

**Ice-Types**: Offensive Ice types such as Sneasel or Vanilluxe easily OHKO the likes of Druddigon with their respective ice stabs. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set stealth rocks and dish out some massive damage with Icicle crash. 252 Atk Choice Band Sneasel Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Druddigon: 260-308 (72.6 - 86%) -- guaranteed 2HKO reword to say Sneasel can KO Druddigon after a couple Rocks switch-ins imo

**Special Wall-breakers**: Since Druddigon doesn't commonly run Sp.d its very easily run down by super-effective,neutral, or even some resisted attacks can do a ton and wear it down. give some examples of specially offensive Pokemon that can pressure Druddigon. Heliolisk is an example given the ridiculous strength of a Specs-boosted Hyper Voice

**Status**: Toxic makes it so that it gets worn down easily since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless and due to an attack decrease and wont be able to deal much damage.

  • Stealth rocks is the basic utility it needs to wear down opposing pokemon that are coming in. It also wears down Ice-types, which Druddigon has a weakness to. Mold Breaker also allows Drudd to set them up vs Xatu, which is so much of its niche.

  • You can also run taunt over glare to prevent opposing stealth rocks or Set-up from slower pokemon like calm mind slowbro, but doesn't end up always being reliable due to its lack of decent speed.
  • Toxic can also be ran over glare to wear down pokemon and rack up more damage over time even though you may get potential misses. Toxic is really useful, imo move it up to the first slot, as Toxicing stuff like Xatu / Slowbro / Comfey is invaluable atm.
Set Details
========
  • Max hp / Max defense and an Impish Nature allows druddigon to maximize its defensive bulk. Mix maximizing the bulk with rocky helmet allows other mons that physically hit it do be chipped for possibly future damage that is needed.
  • Mold breaker is to ensure that you get your rocks up vs the likes of xatu and potentially cripple it. Mold breaker also helps with pokemon with levitate such as rotom so that earthquake can hit.
  • Rocky Helmet is definently the prefered choice of its item since its able to rack up chip from pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential rapid spinners, and other hard hitting physical attackers. when matched with maxed out bulk it makes for an easier time for druddigon to take big hits and give other defensive answers a break.
  • Leftovers makes you so much more sustainable it ain't funny. Write this up and explain that it lets you swap into stuff like Slowbro, Delphox, Sceptile much more often over the course of a game.
  • Mention a Specially Defensive spread, which is prolly this mon's best other option atm, and is 100% worth a mention here. as it lets you switch into Heliolisk and Sceptile reliably.

Usage Tips
========

  • Should be used early game to come in and start spreading damage, status, and putting down stealth rocks. It's in your best interest to start spreading status to fast, frail pokemon after getting the chance of getting stealth rocks up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns.
  • It also is used to check its natural resistances and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, Defensive Incineroar, and can take advantage of these pokemon to set up stealth rocks.
  • Dragon tail prevents set up from threats such as SD Incineroar, CM Delphox, and Slowbro while also being able to get important chip on them. This can also be used to get chip on wallbreakers such as Vanilluxe switching in on a predicted Stealth Rock.
  • Taunt gives it the option to shut down other slower stealth rockers while also being able to get up your own stealth rocks and potentially crippling it with status.
  • Druddigon can also pressure hazard removers such as steel-vally, rotom or even cripple golbat with glare. It can also pressure rapid-spinners with chip damage from rocky helmet and status and really forces spinners to think twice.

Team Options
========

  • Generally you want to have something to cover its weaknesses. Fire types like Delphox or Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses and in return even cover 1 their weaknesses being water. Also Incineroar, whcih does all that and beats up sneasel.
  • Another option would be a pairing Druddigon with cleric support such as Vaporeon, which both together cover each others's weaknesses, or Mega-Audino who is a much bulkier pokemon with regenerator pre-mega. Both of these pokemon also have Heal-Bell which gets rid of having that status weakness and getting worn down so easily.
  • Adding a Spike setter such as Garbodor can be another option since Xatu easily gets worn down by Druddigon. This also synergizes with Dragon Tail.
  • You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wall breaker since it is able to cripple faster pokemon with glare. Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, or even Clawitzer have a nice pairing with this pokemon. I'd like a mention of SD Torterra here, as that mon really loves the fact that Drudd wears down Xatu.
  • Steelvally also has pretty intense synergy.
  • I want a bullet for stuff that beats up Fairy Types, as they are its scariest weakness, and generally don't fear a huge amount from it (see Plume).

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Mention Protect, especially in conjunction with Leftovers (and Toxic), as it drastically increases Druddigon's sustain, and lets it scout vs Vanilluxe and Passimian.
  • Mention Rough Skin RH shit.
  • You can also run a bulky offensive sheer force set with Life Orb since it doesn't take damage from life orb while also being able to dish out high damage but this set is still prone to scald burns and again, not having a good enough speed tier to keep up with other hard hitting physical pokemon.
  • Running Sp.d to take special damage at a better rate can also work and you would have to go Leftovers over Rocky Helmet due to not being able to take an attack well, but this set doesn't work well in the long run due to physical mons attacking it for free and potentially even stopping rocks from getting up. Moving this to a set mention.
  • Roseli berry and Iron head with some Sp.d can also be ran to take an fairy type attack as well as hit something hard with iron head, but this is for the most part a one trick pony and waste's a move slot for a one time attack.

Checks and Counters

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy types such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott have a big presence in the current meta and usually force Druddigon out. Ok, I spoke with QC.

I want a very heavy mention of Spdef in set details, and emphasize that its incredibly useful on a lot of teams.

Leftovers should be the first item slash.

Stealth rocks is the basic utility it needs to wear down opposing pokemon that are coming in. It wears down Ice-types effectively, which Druddigon has a weakness to. Mold Breaker also allows Druddigon to set them up vs Xatu, which is much of its niche.
Toxic can also be ran over glare you haven't mentioned toxic at all in moves here apart from this, expand on toxic's use and it's used more than glare to wear down pokemon and rack up more damage over time which helps in the long run for Pokemon such as Slowbro, Comfey, or Xatu. Glare is a great status move as it it 100% accurate as its able to incapacitate Pokemon that need speed such as Sneasel and Sceptile, or scarfed mons such as Delphox and Passimian. Earthquake is mainly for those pesky steel types and electric types which cannot be paralyzed by glare. named examples, like silvally to punish it defogging Earthquake is also useful due to having mold breaker so it can hit Rotom or Vikavolt. Earthquake is also a good choice due to being able to weaken most stealth rockers such as Diancie, Rhydon, and Steelix. Dragon tail to faze out other Pokemon to rack up damage with dragon tail and stealth rocks. This move also prevents set potential set-up mons such as Block bro or swords dance Incineroar which makes this Pokemon way less passive then other rockers. You can also run taunt over glare to prevent opposing stealth rocks or Set-up from slower Pokemon like calm mind Slowbro, but doesn't end up always being reliable due to its lack of decent speed. mention it prevents other stealth rock setters as well, which is one of the primary reasons to use taunt, such as steelix

Max hp / Max and an impish nature defense allows Druddigon to maximize its defensive bulk. to better take on what pokemon? Mix (?) maximizing the bulk with rocky helmet allows other Pokemon that physically hit it do be chipped for possibly future damage that is needed. Running Sp.d allows Druddigon to soak up special damage and give it that longevity it needs against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Heliolisk, Delphox, or Sceptile. It gives Druddigon much more sustainability throughout the match and can be very useful and effective with leftovers, giving it more longevity overall. Mold breaker is to ensure that you get your rocks up vs the likes of Xatu and potentially cripple it. Mold breaker also helps with Pokemon with levitate such as Rotom so that earthquake can hit. Leftovers gives Druddigon the longevity it needs since it doesn't have reliable recovery. It makes Druddigon must more sustainable throughout the battle giving you several switch ins to Pokemon such as Delphox, Slowbro, and Sceptile. Rocky Helmet is definitely the preferred choice leftovers is better, and you've already mentioned rocky helmet above? of its item since its able to rack up chip from Pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential rapid spinners, and other hard hitting physical attackers. when matched with maxed out bulk it makes for an easier time for Druddigon to take big hits and give other defensive answers a break.

why is leftovers mentioned after rocky helemt? it's slashed first and that should be reflected in the set details

Usage Tips
========

Druddigon Should be used early game to come in and start spreading damage, status, and putting down stealth rocks. It's in your best interest to start spreading status to fast, frail Pokemon after getting the chance of getting stealth rocks up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns. damage shouldn't be mentioned 1st, your goal isn't to deal damage with this set
It also is used to check its natural resistances and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, Defensive Incineroar, and can take advantage of these Pokemon to set up stealth rocks. Dragon tail prevents set up from threats such as SD Incineroar, CM Delphox, and Slowbro while also being able to get important chip on them. This can also be used to get chip on wallbreakers such as Vanilluxe switching in on a predicted Stealth Rock. Taunt gives it the option to shut down other slower stealth rockers while also being able to get up your own stealth rocks and potentially crippling it with status. Druddigon can also pressure hazard removers such as Silvally-steel, Rotom or even cripple Golbat with glare. It can also pressure rapid-spinners with chip damage from rocky helmet and status and really forces spinners to think twice. mention somewhere in here that rocks can always be setup fast unless a taunt user is on the field, and druddigon is unbothered by xatu's magic bounce.

Team Options
========

Generally you want to have something to cover its weaknesses. Fire types like Incineroar, Delphox or Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses and in return even cover 1 their weaknesses being water. Another option would be a pairing Druddigon with cleric support such as Vaporeon, which both together cover each others's weaknesses, or Mega-Audino who is a much bulkier Pokemon with regenerator pre-mega. Both of these Pokemon also have Heal-Bell which gets rid of having that status weakness and getting worn down so easily. Adding a Spike setter such as Garbodor or Accelgor can be another option since Xatu easily gets worn down by Druddigon which also synergizes with Dragon Tail well. You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wall breaker since it is able to cripple faster Pokemon with glare. Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, or even Clawitzer have a nice pairing with this pokemon. Silvally-Steel has great synergy with Druddigon as they both cover each others weaknesses while also having a pivot option to get Druddigon back in. Something that reliably doesn't fear fairy types such as Vileplume or Golbat are nice options as they serve as a safe switch most of the time. mention sweepers or breakers that appreciate rocks always being on the field, such as mismagius, sceptile, delphox etc and rocks weaken foes like incineraor and so on

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Due to Druddigon's decent attack and also having sheer force and mold breaker you can also run a more offensive stealth rocker consisting of 3 attacks consisting three of Iron head, Outrage, Fire punch, Thunder punch or Sucker punch + stealth rocks ,however due to it being prone to scald burns, poor speed, and lack of recovery it doesn't make the best offensive rocker and most of the time forces Druddigon to run sucker punch which isn't reliable most of the time. Protect with leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon allowing to to get the leftovers recovery it may need in the long run. It also allows Druddigon to scout choice scarfed users such as Passimain or Vanilluxe. in main set Rough Skin paired with Rocky Helmet allows Druddigon to heavily chip physical mons such as Passimian or Incineroar. Generally this makes Druddigon more vulnurable and loses to Xatu, which makes it lose is niche. You can also run a bulky offensive sheer force set with Life Orb since it doesn't take damage from life orb while also being able to dish out high damage but this set is still prone to scald burns and again, not having a good enough speed tier to keep up with other hard hitting physical Pokemon. i would just remove this, it's basically what you said in the first sentence Roseli berry paired with Iron head can also be ran to take an fairy type attack as well as hit something hard with iron head, but this is for the most part a one trick pony and waste's a move slot for a one time attack. gunk shot should be mentioned somewhere here, iron head is more reliable but gunk deals a lot of damage to most unresisted mons

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ice-Types**: Offensive Ice types such as Vanilluxe can easily OHKO or Sneasel which can do massive damage to Druddigon with their respective ice stabs. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set stealth rocks and dish out some massive damage with Icicle crash.

**Special Wall-breakers**: Since Druddigon doesn't commonly run Sp.d its very easily run down by super-effective,neutral, or even some resisted attacks can do a ton and wear it down. Pokemon such as Specs Heliolisk, Delphox, or even Accelgor are good examples of this.

**Status**: Toxic makes it so that it gets worn down easily since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless and due to an attack decrease and wont be able to deal much damage.

I'm only asking you this not for myself but for yourself and the official GPers, PLEASE look over your analysis first for simple things like capitalization and proper terms before sending to GP. The majority of this amcheck was just fixing such things, and while I wouldn't mind it since again I'm only an amchecker, official GPers would be annoyed to hell and back having to fix all of this. Please don't take it too personal, either; you did a good job portraying what Druddigon does clearly, but you just need to fix the simple things for the GPers' sake. It'll also help you since you won't have to make such changes either. I'm sorry if I sound like I'm too harsh on you, I just want you to have the best experience here.

[OVERVIEW]

Druddigon is a special utility Pokemon due to having a niche of being able to get up Stealth Rocks up verses Xatu. (i'd recommend mentioning mold breaker somewhere here) Being mono dragon Its mono-Dragon typing allows it to resist water, electric, grass, and fire Water-, Electric-, Grass-, and Fire-type moves, (AC) which when added with its great bulk can take of the likes of the bigger threats in the tier. It's Its amazing bulk allows it to check the likes of Slowbro, Incineroar, and Heliolisk. It's speed Its Speed allows it to be faster then than a number of other stealth rockers Stealth Rock setters and also can also taunt Taunt them to shut them down. However, (AC) Druddigon's poor speed Speed tier, (AC) which is outran but outrun by a lot of the tier, along with not having reliable recovery makes it easy to wear down and can take a big toll out of Druddigon, (AC) especially when ran run without leftovers Leftovers. its Its mediocre longevity means that its it is worn down easily and is forced to rely on teammates like Vaporeon or Audino to remain healthy with wish Wish support. Even Druddigon's mono dragon mono-Dragon typing leaves it susceptible to the frequent Ice- and Fairy-type moves. (remove period), (AC) which allows the likes of top tier threats such as: (remove colon) Comfey, Whimsicott, Sneasel, and Vanilluxe to easily wear it down or KO it with ease. Also, with the lack of and the ability to give out large damage outputs, (AC) Druddigon this Pokemon tends to get very passive in the long run.

Moves
========

Stealth rocks Rock is the basic utility it Druddigon needs to wear down opposing pokemon Pokemon that are coming come in. It wears down Ice-types effectively, which Druddigon has a weakness to (tbh i would combine this sentence with the first one). Mold Breaker also allows Druddigon to set them up vs against Xatu, which is makes up much of its niche. Toxic is ran run to wear down Pokemon and rack up more damage over time, (AC) which helps in the long run for against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Comfey, or Xatu. Glare is a great status move, (AC) as it it is 100% accurate as its and is able to incapacitate Pokemon that need speed Speed such as Sneasel and Sceptile, (RC) or scarfed Pokemon Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Passimian. Earthquake is mainly for Steel-types those pesky steel types, (RC) such as a Silvally-Steel to punish its defog, (RC) Defog and electric Electric-types, (AC) which cannot be paralyzed by glare Glare. Earthquake is also useful due to Druddigon having mold breaker Mold Breaker, allowing so it can to hit Rotom or and Vikavolt. Earthquake is also a good choice due to being able to weaken most stealth rockers Stealth Rock setters such as Diancie, Rhydon, and Steelix. Dragon tail Tail is used to faze phaze out other Pokemon to rack up damage with dragon tail and stealth rocks its damage and Stealth Rock. This move also prevents set potential set-up Pokemon such as Block Slowbro or swords dance Swords Dance Incineroar, (AC) which makes this Pokemon way less passive then other rockers hazard setters. You can also run taunt Taunt over glare Glare to prevent opposing stealth rocks Stealth Rock from being set up against by Pokemon such as Steelix, (RC) or Set-up setup from slower Pokemon like calm mind Calm Mind Slowbro, but that doesn't end up always being reliable due to its Druddigon's lack of speed Speed.

Set Details

Maximum HP and Defense EVs hp / Max defense with an impish Impish nature allows Druddigon to maximize its defensive bulk to better take on physical hitters attackers such as Passimian, Incineroar, or Cincinno. Leftovers gives Druddigon the longevity it needs since it doesn't have reliable recovery. It makes Druddigon must much more sustainable throughout the battle, (AC) giving you several switch-ins (add hyphen) to Pokemon such as Delphox, Slowbro, and Sceptile. Running Special Defense allows Druddigon to soak up special damage and give it that longevity it needs against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Heliolisk, Delphox, or Sceptile (is this referring to the 4 evs in spdef? if it is you can probably delete this sentence because it's only just one more point of spdef, but if that point allows it to live a crucial move then change to show that). Rocky Helmet is able to rack up chip from onto Pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential rapid spinners (or "Rapid Spin users" whichever you prefer), and other hard hitting physical attackers. when When matched with maxed out bulk it makes for an easier time for Druddigon to take big hits and give other defensive answers a break (you already basically say this in the beginning so it's kinda fluff you can delete). Mold breaker Breaker is to ensure that you get your rocks up vs Druddigon can set up Stealth Rock against Xatu and potentially cripple it. Mold breaker Breaker also helps with Pokemon with levitate Levitate such as Rotom or and Vikavolt so that earthquake Earthquake can hit them (you already say this in the moves section though, i'd probably delete one of the mentioned in either section and keep the other). Running Special Defense a with leftovers allows Druddigon to better soak up damage from Heliolisk, Slowbro, or Delphox. (simply fluff) Protect with leftovers Leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon, (AC) allowing to to get the leftovers recovery it may need in the long run. It also allows Druddigon to scout choice scarfed for Choice Scarf users, (AC) such as Passimain Passimian or Vanilluxe.

Usage Tips
========

Druddigon Should should be used early-game (add hyphen) to set up stealth rocks Stealth Rock as its primary goal. Stealth Rocks can always be set up (add space) fast quickly unless a taunt Taunt user is on the field, and Druddigon is unbothered by Xatu's magic bounce Magic Bounce. It's in your best interest to start spreading status to fast, frail Pokemon after getting the chance of getting stealth rocks Stealth Rock up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns. It also is also used to check its natural resistances and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, Defensive and defensive Incineroar, and it can take advantage of these Pokemon to set up stealth rocks Stealth Rock. Dragon tail Tail prevents setup (remove space) from threats such as SD Swords Dance Incineroar, CM Calm Mind Delphox, and Slowbro while also being able to get important chip damage on them. This can also be used to get chip damage on wall-breakers wallbreakers such as Vanilluxe switching in on a predicted Stealth Rock. Taunt gives it Druddigon the option to shut down other slower stealth rockers Stealth Rock setters while also being able to get up your own stealth rocks its own Stealth Rock and potentially crippling it with status. Druddigon can also pressure hazard removers such as Silvally-Steel, (RC) and Rotom or even cripple Golbat with glare Glare. It can also pressure rapid-spinners with chip damage from rocky helmet Rock Helmet and status and really forces spinners the opponent to think twice before using Rapid Spin.

Adding a Spikes setter such as Garbodor or Accelgor can be another option since Xatu easily gets worn down by Druddigon, (AC) which also synergizes with Dragon Tail well. You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wallbreaker (remove space) since it is able to cripple faster Pokemon with glare Glare. Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, or even Clawitzer have a nice pairing with this pokemon Pokemon (i would combine this sentence with the one before). Due to Druddigon's decent attack Attack and also having sheer force and mold breaker Sheer Force and Mold Breaker, (AC) you can also run a more offensive stealth rocker Stealth Rock set consisting of 3 attacks consisting three of Iron head Head, Outrage, Fire punch Punch, Thunder punch Punch or Sucker punch Punch + stealth rocks , and Stealth Rock; (add semicolon) however, (AC) due to it being prone to scald Scald burns, having poor speed Speed, and lacking of recovery options, (AC) it doesn't make the best offensive rocker Stealth Rock setter and most of the time forces Druddigon to run sucker punch Sucker Punch, (AC) which isn't reliable most of the time. Protect with leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon allowing to to get the leftovers recovery it may need in the long run. It also allows Druddigon to scout choice scarfed users such as Passimain or Vanilluxe. (you already mentioned this and these options are included in the set so it doesn't really belong here) Rough Skin paired with Rocky Helmet allows Druddigon to heavily chip physical mons Pokemon such as Passimian or and Incineroar. Generally this makes Druddigon more vulnurable vulnerable and loses to Xatu, which makes it lose is niche. Roseli berry Berry can also be ran run to take an fairy type a Fairy-type attack as well as hit something hard with iron head or gunk shot Iron Head or Gunk Shot, but this is for the most part a one trick pony and waste's a move slot for a one time attack. **Fairy-typesTypes**: Fairy-types (add hyphen) such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott have a big presence in the current meta and usually force Druddigon out. Diancie or comfey Comfey can also use it as set-up setup fodder since dragon tail cannot be used to phaze it out they are immune to Dragon Tail, (AC) which is why its it is important to run a status move. Mega Audino reliably comes in and also walls this set due to being immune to dragon tail Dragon Tail and having heal bell Heal Bell to get rid of status that were potentially spread throughout the the opponent's team.

**Ice-typesTypes**: Offensive Ice-types (add hyphen) such as Vanilluxe or Sneasel can easily OHKO or Sneasel which can or do massive damage to Druddigon with their respective ice stabs Ice-type STAB moves. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set up stealth rocks Stealth Rock and dish out some massive damage with Icicle crash Crash.

Pokemon such as Choice Specs Heliolisk, Delphox, or and even Accelgor are good examples of this.

**Status**: Toxic makes it so that it Druddigon gets worn down easily since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless and due to an attack Attack decrease and wont won't be able to deal much damage.

Stealth Rock is the basic utility Druddigon needs to wear down opposing Pokemon that come in, (AC) and it wears down Ice-types effectively, which Druddigon has a weakness to. Mold Breaker also allows Druddigon to set them it (sr isnt plural) up against Xatu, which makes up much of its niche. Toxic is run to wear down Pokemon and rack up more damage over time, which helps in the long run against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Comfey, and Xatu. Glare is a great status move, as it is 100% accurate and is able to incapacitate Pokemon that need Speed such as Sneasel and Sceptile or and Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Passimian. Earthquake is mainly for Steel-types such as Silvally-Steel, (AC) allowing Druddigon to punish its Defog, (AC) and Electric-types, which cannot be paralyzed by Glare. Earthquake is also useful due to Druddigon having Mold Breaker, allowing it to hit Rotom and Vikavolt. Earthquake is also a good choice due to being able to weaken most Stealth Rock setters such as Diancie, Rhydon, and Steelix. Dragon Tail is used to phaze out other Pokemon to rack up damage with its damage and Stealth Rock. This move also prevents forces out potential set-up setup Pokemon such as Block Slowbro or and Swords Dance Incineroar, which makes this Pokemon way Druddigon less passive then other entry hazard setters. You It can also run Taunt over Glare to prevent opposing Stealth Rock from being set up by Pokemon such as Steelix or setup from slower Pokemon like Calm Mind Slowbro, but that this doesn't end up always being reliable due to Druddigon's lack of Speed. (where is protect? it's slashed on the set)

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense EVs with an Impish nature allow Druddigon to maximize its defensive physical bulk to better take on physical attackers such as Passimian, Incineroar, or and Cincinno. Leftovers gives Druddigon the longevity it needs, (AC) since it doesn't have reliable recovery. It makes Druddigon much more sustainable throughout the battle, giving you several switch-ins to it several opportunities to switch into Pokemon such as Delphox, Slowbro, and Sceptile. Running maximum Special Defense is an alternative option that allows Druddigon to soak up special damage and give it that longevity it needs against Pokemon such as Slowbro, Heliolisk, Delphox, or and Sceptile. (and why is max def preferred? also put this last in the section bc everything else in here is slashed or main set stuff) Rocky Helmet is able to rack up chip damage onto Pokemon like Incineroar, Passimian, potential spinners, and other hard-(AH)hitting physical attackers. Mold Breaker is to ensure that Druddigon can set up Stealth Rock against Xatu and potentially cripple it. Protect with Leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon, allowing to to get recovery it may need in the long run. (protect should be in moves; put that there instead) It also allows Druddigon to scout for Choice Scarf users, such as Passimian or and Vanilluxe.

Usage Tips
========

Druddigon should be used early-game to set up Stealth Rock as its primary goal. Stealth Rock can always be set up quickly unless a Taunt user is on the field, and Druddigon is unbothered by Xatu's Magic Bounce. (do you mean as/because it isn't bothered by magic bounce?) It's in your best interest to start spreading status to fast, frail Pokemon after getting the chance of getting Stealth Rock up to get any necessary chip needed for future turns. (what are fast frail pokemon?) It is also used to check its natural resistances and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, and defensive Incineroar, and it can take advantage of these Pokemon to set up Stealth Rock. Dragon Tail prevents setup from threats such as Swords Dance Incineroar, Calm Mind Delphox, and Calm Mind (i assume) Slowbro while also being able to get important chip damage on them. This can also be used to get chip damage on wallbreakers such as Vanilluxe switching in on a predicted Stealth Rock. Taunt gives Druddigon the option to shut down other slower Stealth Rock setters while also being able to get up its own Stealth Rock and potentially crippling it with status. (this reads a lot like moves section. what can you use it against?) Druddigon can also pressure hazard removers such as Silvally-Steel and Rotom or and even cripple Golbat with Glare. (is silvally steel/rotom also about glare? because electric types can't be paralysed in gen 6/7. if it's about something else, separate the sentences and make it clear what the first is referring to) It can also pressure spinners with chip damage from Rocky Helmet and status and really force the opponent to think twice before using Rapid Spin.

Team Options
========

Generally, you want to have something to cover Druddigon's weaknesses. Fire-types like Incineroar, Delphox, or and Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses and in return Druddigon even covers their weakness to Water-type moves. Another option would be a pairing Druddigon with cleric support such as from Vaporeon, which both together cover each other's weaknesses, or Mega Audino, (AC) which is a much bulkier Pokemon with Regenerator pre-Mega. Both of these Pokemon also have Heal Bell, which gets rid of being weakened by status and getting worn down so easily. (both of these pokemon having heal bell is implied with cleric support. combine the 2 sentences if you wanna keep the point about stopping it getting worn down) Adding a Spikes setter such as Garbodor or Accelgor can be another option, (AC) since Xatu easily gets worn down by Druddigon, which also synergizes and Spikes also synergize with Dragon Tail well. You can also pair Druddigon with a slow wallbreaker, (AC) since it is able to cripple faster Pokemon with Glare, (AC) with Pokemon such as Dhelmise, Guzzlord, or and even Clawitzer have having a nice pairing with this Pokemon. Silvally-Steel has great synergy with Druddigon, as they both cover each others weaknesses while Silvally-Steel also having has a pivot option to get Druddigon back in. Something that reliably doesn't fear Fairy-types Reliable Fairy-type checks such as Vileplume or and Golbat are nice options, (AC) as they serve as a safe switch-in most of the time. Setup sweepers or and breakers such as Mismagius, Sceptile, or and Delphox also appreciate Stealth Rock always being on the field, weakening foes like Incineroar (RC) and Slowbro, and as well as other defensive answers to breakers.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Due to Druddigon's decent Attack and having access to Sheer Force and Mold Breaker, you it can also run a more offensive Stealth Rock set consisting of three of Iron Head, Outrage, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, (AC) and or Sucker Punch and as well as Stealth Rock; however, due to it being prone to Scald burns, having poor Speed, and lacking recovery options, it doesn't make the best offensive Stealth Rock setter and most of the time often forces Druddigon to run Sucker Punch, which isn't reliable most of the time. Rough Skin paired with Rocky Helmet allows Druddigon to heavily chip physical Pokemon such as Passimian and Incineroar. Generally, (AC) this makes Druddigon more vulnerable and loses to Xatu, losing to it thus losing its which makes it lose is niche. Roseli Berry can also be run to take a Fairy-type attack as well as hit something hard with Iron Head or Gunk Shot in return, but this is for the most part waste's wastes a move slot moveslot (and item slot?) for a one time attack.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott have a big presence in the current metagame and usually force Druddigon out. Diancie or and Comfey can also use it as setup fodder, (AC) since they are immune to Dragon Tail, which is why it is important to run a status move. Mega Audino reliably comes in and walls this set due to being immune to Dragon Tail and having Heal Bell to get rid of status that were was potentially spread throughout the opponent's team.

**Ice-types**: Offensive Ice-types such as Vanilluxe or and Sneasel can easily OHKO or do massive damage to Druddigon with their respective Ice-type STAB moves. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set up Stealth Rock and dish out massive damage with Icicle Crash.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Since Druddigon doesn't commonly run a lot of Special Defense EVs, it is very easily run worn down by super effective, neutral, or even some resisted attacks that can do a ton of damage and wear it down. Pokemon such as Choice Specs Heliolisk, Delphox, and even Accelgor are good examples of this.

**Status**: Toxic makes it so that Druddigon gets worn down easily wears down Druddigon easily, (AC) since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless due to an Attack decrease and won't be able to deal much damage. (you literally don't mention burns anywhere else in the analysis even with cleric support and say it can switch into slowbro and stuff too. if burns "render it useless" they should be talked about more)

[OVERVIEW]

Druddigon is a special utility Pokemon due to having a niche of being able its ability to get up Stealth Rock up versus Xatu because of Mold Breaker. Its mono-Dragon typing allows it to resist Water-, Electric-, Grass-, and Fire-type moves, which, when combined with its great bulk, can help it take care of the likes of the bigger threats in the tier, (comma) its amazing bulk allows it to check the likes of such as Slowbro, Incineroar, and Heliolisk. While slow, (transition to next sentence becomes rly jarring otherwise) Druddigon is faster than a number of other Stealth Rock setters such as Steelix (RC) and can use Taunt on them to shut them down. However, Druddigon's poor Speed tier, which means it is outrun by a lot of the tier, along with lack of reliable recovery makes it easy to wear down and takes a big toll out of Druddigon, especially when run without it's not running Leftovers. Its This mediocre longevity also means that it is worn down easily and is forced to rely on teammates like Vaporeon and Audino to remain healthy with Wish support. Even Druddigon's mono-Dragon typing leaves it susceptible to frequent Ice- and Fairy-type moves, which allows the likes of top-tier threats such as Comfey, Whimsicott, Sneasel, and Vanilluxe to easily wear it down or KO it with ease. Also, with its mediocre damage output, Druddigon tends to get very passive in the long run.

Moves
========

Glare is 100% accurate and able to incapacitate fast Pokemon that need Speed such as Sneasel and Sceptile and Choice Scarf users such as Delphox and Passimian without fail. Earthquake is mainly for Steel-types such as Silvally-Steel, allowing Druddigon to punish its Defog, and Electric-types, which cannot be paralyzed by Glare. Earthquake is also useful due to Druddigon having Mold Breaker (RC) allowing it to hit Rotom and Vikavolt (RP) Earthquake is also able and its ability to weaken most Stealth Rock setters such as Diancie, Rhydon, and Steelix. Protect with Leftovers makes Druddigon a much more sustainable Pokemon, allowing to to get recovery it may need in the long run. It also allows Druddigon to scout for Choice Scarf users, such as Passimian and Vanilluxe. Dragon Tail is used to phaze other Pokemon to rack up damage with its damage and (implied) Stealth Rock.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense EVs with an Impish nature allow Druddigon to maximize its physical bulk to better take on physical attackers such as Passimian, Incineroar, and Cincinno. Leftovers gives Druddigon the longevity it needs, since it doesn't have reliable recovery, (comma) It makes Druddigon much more sustainable throughout the battle, giving several opportunities to switch into Pokemon such as Delphox, Slowbro, and Sceptile.

Usage Tips
========

It is also used to check its natural resistances Pokemon it answers by virtue of its defensive typing (?) and physical attackers such as Slowbro, Passimian, and defensive Incineroar, and it can take advantage of these Pokemon to set up Stealth Rock. Scald burns can basically render Druddigon useless, (AC) so its it's important to be wary of that.

Team Options
========

Generally, you want to have something to cover Druddigon's weaknesses. Fire-types like Incineroar, Delphox, and Magmortar cover all of Druddigon's relevant weaknesses, (AC) and in return Druddigon even covers their weakness to Water-type moves. Another option would be pairing Druddigon with a cleric support such as from Vaporeon, which cover with the two of them covering each other's weaknesses, or Mega Audino, which is a much bulkier Pokemon with Regenerator pre-Mega before it Mega Evolves, and both of these Pokemon also have access to Heal Bell, which gets rid of being weakened by status and getting worn down so easily.

Other Options
=============

Due to Druddigon's decent Attack and having access to Sheer Force and Mold Breaker, it can also run a more offensive Stealth Rock set consisting of three of Iron Head, Outrage, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, and Sucker Punch as well as Stealth Rock; however, due to it being prone its vulnerability to Scald burns, having poor Speed, and lacking lack of recovery options, it doesn't make the best offensive Stealth Rock setter and is often forces Druddigon forced to run Sucker Punch, which isn't reliable most of the time. Rough Skin paired with Rocky Helmet allows Druddigon to heavily chip physical Pokemon such as Passimian and Incineroar. Generally, though, this makes Druddigon more vulnerable to Xatu, losing to it (just make the previous part "meaning it loses to Xatu" if you wanted to convey that) thus losing its niche. Roseli Berry can also be run to take a Fairy-type attack as well as hit something hard with Iron Head or Gunk Shot in return, but this is for the most part wastes a waste of a moveslot and item slot for a one-time (AH) attack.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Prominent Fairy-types such as Diancie, Comfey, and Whimsicott have a big presence in the current metagame and usually force Druddigon out.

**Ice-types**: Offensive Ice-types such as Vanilluxe and Sneasel can easily OHKO or do massive damage to Druddigon with their respective Ice-type STAB moves. Piloswine also doesn't generally care about status and can proceed to set up Stealth Rock and dish out massive damage with Icicle Crash.

**Special Wallbreakers**: Since Druddigon doesn't commonly run a lot of Special Defense EVs, it is very easily worn down by super effective, neutral, or even some resisted special attacks that can do a ton of damage. Pokemon such as Choice Specs Heliolisk, Delphox, and even Accelgor are good examples of this.

**Status**: Toxic wears down Druddigon easily, since it doesn't have reliable recovery. Burns render this set useless due to an Attack decrease and won't be able to deal much damage.
