OC Elden Ring Mafia Game Thread D9 Deadline 30/08/24 @ 10pm GMT+1

Why the fuck would anybody contact you for anything? You have lost literally all credibility that you had when you backpedaled about being voted today to prove your role.

Shut the fuck up, sit down, and wait for pulsar to flip so we can claim to a real village leader.

Vote Fudge

The way you talk to people is disgusting. You can disagree with me but treat me with any iota of respect. I’m sorry your life is so pathetic you need to constantly lash out and belittle people on the internet. You’re a 34 year old man with main character syndrome, grow up.

You want Pulsar to flip to immediately die if she is town, go ahead. It’s confirmed in the OP that mafia have strongarm, but you’d rather again, belittle me than read.

Alright, here is the deal. I am the real Starscourge Radahn. When Im alive, I have a passive bodyguard over those I love named above. They are likely all shardbearers or at least 3 of 4. I was scared to claim my name because I’m pretty sure mafia are already looking for me.

Miquella has confirmed that they have information in their role PM that confirms the passive bodyguard.

When I am dead, I get access to a different set of abilities. These abilities are good but not worth dying over when I have a potential 4x passive BG. For transparency purposes, I’m not sure these 4 roles are all in the game but I assume most are.

I don’t think this current vote is very good, mostly because Pulsar will either just get strongarmed or the chance she is scum.

I don’t really have a good target at this point so feel free to talk with me.

Lastly, twin is mafia. I suspected mafia was looking for me and thats why he claimed Starscourge Radahn to bait a counterclaim. Well here I am.

I will write up the summary after I get home put my pov is that Mafia Tarnished have the ability to organize very quickly together; if town doesn’t organize tarnished, it’s rather likely the vote ends with like a mafia majority to a bunch of scattered town ones and twos as the tarnished vote
…so by not organizing we give mafia an extra kill! Thats my logic, thank you for listening :3

A Player Announcement:

Good morrow to all the heroes, villains, and those in between. This is your humble, modest, attractive, and very reasonably-volumed announcer speaking. It would appear that the Day 1 thread (and much of the Discord chat) is sadly far too frequently plagued by an influx of actors in poor faith. By writing more than a paragraph here, I am well aware that it is quite possible that some of these bad actors are likely to post a dismissive comment on their inability to maintain attention long enough to comprehend the words that are written here, as well, which is a shame. Were it only that a mighty leader would emerge who is able to unite the many good people of The Golden Order under one banner in order to defeat the vile forces of The Crucible! Alas, so far that does not seem to be the case. Instead, it is most regrettable that at the current time, the game has swiftly descended into a state that I find disappointingly lacking in civility.

I find the squabbling of those who are arguing amongst themselves who should become leader of the Tarnished to be most unsightly. It strikes me as an endeavor equally, if not more, likely to do harm than good. And then we have our acquaintance Laurel, who has made many proclamations, but is as of now yet to provide a proper reason to be a considered trustworthy manager of information for the Golden Order, and many of his stances seem to be self-contradictory. Anything else that could be considered a leadership attempt to this point is quite paltry. The temptation of power seems to drive many to foolishness at times.

Therefore, of those who have thrown their proverbial hat into the equally proverbial ring that is the position of town leadership, I must say that I personally currently respect pulsar's attempt the most. She displays a certain moxie by being willing to actually put an alias to her gambit. That sort of forthright information and willingness to self-sacrifice is at least one admirable leadership more than other candidates have displayed. Unless there is a revelation of a different target (such as some kind of clear guilty report) emerges, my course of action shall be to, for now, according to our potential fearless leader's own wishes:

vote Fudge

Unfortunately, I must bid you all farewell for the day. But I do hope you'll all consider the points that I have put forth. I hope that we receive proper information for what there is to do becomes clarified more quickly and that tensions are lowered. Let us all raise our heads high with honor and behave as reasonable people would, showing respect towards each other even in our times of disagreement, and may we rely upon cooperation rather than bickering in pursuit of the achievement of a merry victory for the Golden Order.

Sincerely,
Your announcer: a concerned Golden Order citizen

Tarnished & Co. - Day1
Tarnished Dyanmics
The dynamic of the currently claimed Tarnished are as follows:

Myself, Celever, Tarnished A, and Tarnished B have a group chat, as the first Tarnished to have claimed to each other on Night 0.

Tarnished C and Tarnished D approached Celever and Tarnished B separately, wishing to be included in the discussion but not within the group chat for fear of reveal their identities. These wishes have been respected and C and D are being communicated with through Celever and B, respectively.

Exene claimed to me and Celever, and for verification purposes, we asked them for their role name. This was deemed to be an inconsequential piece of information to give up, but they were unusually cagey about it. While I personally still believe them, relaying this reaction was enough to ring off alarm bells in several other Tarnished. As such, Exene was not added to the four-person group chat.

None of the Tarnished have given details about their roles or aliases to each other beyond confirming they are not the randed vote.

Tarnished Vote
Early on into D1, A randomized Soufflé as the Tarnish vote. After a day of contacting other Tarnished players to ensure it was not any of them, I can confirm none of the currently claimed Tarnished are Soufflé. If you are Soufflé and wish to make your case, please contact me.

As far as I can tell from a cursory search in the pubchat, there has not been an attempt to organize the Tarnished vote publicly beyond the arguing with Celever. If I missed anything, let me know.

Additional Notes
I am currently in contact with genisu. To clarify, he is not a member of the Tarnished. In addition, one of the currently claimed Tarnished claims they have reason to believe genisu is lying wrt their role. My personal take is that genisu is giving town vibes, but if there are mechanical reasons to be wary I will be wary

Please let me know if there is anything I forgot to address, and I hope this attempt at transparency speaks well to our intentions.
Let’s make this a SmogTown win!

tl;dr

celever reacts poorly to efforts to remove his power over tarnished vote despite claiming he wants to decentralize the vote
celever says exene knew the rng vote alias and overreacted to it, exene says celever refused to tell him & won't let him be involved if he doesn't give role name
I didn’t tell Exene the alias, Hydro did. The people in the groupchat (which exists, good making stuff up again, I only ever said some people don’t want to be in it, and as Hydro points out above someone who isn’t me or Hydro is working with a tarnished who isn’t in the chat, idk who they are!).

So your lie is between Exene and Hydro. Exene doesn’t DM me any more because you’ve got him convinced I’m scum. Me Hydro and Exene have a groupchat that is now disused the more drivel you’ve spouted in public.

Have a great day, ignore this post and read Hydro’s above. Interacting with Yeti is anti-town so I’m going to stop. Requoting for visibility:

And as for the announcer — the tarnished aren’t squabbling among themselves for who should have power. No one is entertaining Exene (Yeti’s puppet) as far as I’m aware, don’t worry.

The announcer needs to learn how to write more succinctly. I ain’t reading all of that.

I legit thought the game was cancelled for the first seconds. That was scary.

Have good day off, king

My evidence for Celever being scum :

On N0, I contacted both Hydrei and Celever to get in their convo. But they wouldn't let me in because I wouldn't reveal my flavour, which could've given away a lot of information on my role. I still believe I've made the right decision (The sign-tapping was not in vain
45faba1660b5abaf0f4f.svg
)

So I've made a convo with just Celever and Hydrei. We talked about voting out Laurel if we had the chance (because he was my suspect #1 at the time). Hydrei agreed but Celever was radio silent during this exchange. Very suspect.

When I shared my concern with Hydrei, he was like "Hm, that is suspicious, I'll talk to the other tarnished about it". Since then, no further conversation have been made about the case, they were talking about a randomized vote (which I'm against because I don't want to risk a town dying at any point of the game) and shortly after, Celever brought up publically that I think he's scum. Meaning that Hydrei leaked the info I told him in private.

Since I was stumped on what to do next and that Hydrei and Celever were alerted and not willing to let me meet other tarnished, I had to publically claim tarnished so that I could get reached out. A tarnished told me that he/she wasn't in a convo but has been reached out by them. I thought there was no convo and they tried to fish my flavor. Until today.

This morning, Hydrei revealed that there is a convo, but it's only between him, Celever and "Tarnished A and Tarnished B" (they still could've tried to fish my flavor though). If the role-types are distributed evenly, there should be 10 of us. But the only tarnished who seem to be organized are 4 of them. Meaning the decision of a randomized vote is not at all unanimous if it randomized at all, it could be a lie. They might have an alias from someone they actually want to kill.

It is my fault for not getting back to you on this, but no other Tarnished have made any other indication they find Celever suspicious

The other Tarnished explicity told us they wanted to remain private .-.

If you reread my post you'll that beyond the gc of four there were two other Tarnished who contacted members of the group separately
They had privacy concerns and as such did not wish to be added to the four-person chat

You do realize that the alias we randed is public, right? If anyone has issues with us voting that alias they are always free to bring it up

So I'm refusing to say what role type I am to anyone I don't trust. Everyone should be doing that. If you are tarnished, it hides it from mafia. If you aren't tarnished, it stops mafia from POE'ing the tarnished.

That said...randing the Tarnished vote D1 is town-suicide:

Most likely case: You rand an NPC
2nd most likely case: You rand a town
last likely: You rand a mafia alias

Forcing an alias to be outed to someone not clear this early could very easily backfire.
It makes significantly more sense for tarnished to simply **No Vote** today and I highly encourage everyone to do that.

The Tarnished have decided to vote for Soufflé. We don't know the town vs mafia breakdown of this. If you no vote then you could be splitting the vote.

Town consensus so far is that the Soufflé vote is fine. No one has claimed the alias, and people are interested in working out the relationship between Soufflé and Exene, since there is justifiable cause to believe that there is a relationship between the two of them.

Would you have advocated for the main vote to also no vote if pulsar weren't trying to die herself today? No votes don't happen on D1 in OC mafia.

Who is "the tarnished?" By you guys' account 1 member randed it and like 5 people total were involved in agreeing to this. At least 2 other tarnished are not involved, if the roles are split evenly, only half of you had involvement. Lol

Just a yikes moment

Yo first of all. Reading the rules

9. There will effectively be two day votes in this game, as the Tarnished may also privately vote in one in their role pms. Only the winner of the Tarnished vote will be made public. The Tarnished vote does not guarentee a role flip like the main vote.

There's a chance Souffle doesn't even flip and gives us 0 info.

---

I see no common sense in misvoting twice. Pulsar is probably town already being voted today and advocating to randomly kill today is likely to get a 2nd town killed or an NPC that helps mafia POE.

It's illogical and crazy. No vote is the only logical conclusion here.

6 have agreed to it, Exene doesn't agree to it, sucks for Exene

Most other players have also agreed to it in main Discord chat and DMs
