[OVERVIEW]
Electivire is one of the premier Choice Scarf users thanks to its above-average Speed tier, ability to pivot, and capability to revenge kill top threats such as Floatzel and Pinsir. Furthermore, great coverage options enable Electivire to run a potent mixed wallbreaker set with Life Orb that can threaten typical switch-ins such as Golem and Lickilicky. As a result, Electivire is arguably the best Electric-type in the tier due to its offensive capabilities, and it especially thrives in a Water-type-centric metagame. Conversely, in a metagame where Electric-type attacks are ubiquitous, Motor Drive allows Electivire to provide an Electric-type immunity. However, while Electivire is a strong physical attacker, it is often forced to rely on its lower Special Attack to break through physical walls such as Gourgeist-XL. Consequently, Choice Scarf Electivire fails to bust through bulkier Pokemon such as Bronzor. Lastly, Electivire lacks defensive utility outside of Motor Drive and moderate special bulk, which leaves it susceptible to fast physical attackers such as Floatzel and Rapidash.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Wild Charge / Flamethrower
move 3: Earthquake / Cross Chop
move 4: Ice Punch
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Motor Drive
nature: Naive
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Volt Switch allows Electivire to take advantage of forced switches caused by its coverage options, helping it maintain pressure against defensive teams that can otherwise switch into this set. Earthquake catches most Electric-immune switch-ins aside from Silvally-Ground, Sandslash, and Gabite, which Ice Punch can punish alongside Altaria, two target groups Electivire otherwise cannot easily chip down. Flamethrower and Cross Chop are not optimal coverage options, but the former enables Electivire to threaten Abomasnow and Gourgeist-XL, and the latter targets Komala.

Set Details
========
A Naive nature allows Electivire to OHKO Pokemon such as Floatzel after slight chip damage. An EV spread of 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe can be used to improve Electivire's ability to pivot. Lastly, Motor Drive gives Electivire the ability to pivot into Electric-type Pokemon and attacks.

Usage Tips
========
Electivire should be used to revenge kill faster Pokemon after being brought in safely after a KO, off of a double switch, or from a teammate's pivot. Electivire should also utilize coverage moves on predicted switch-ins such as Gourgeist-XL, Silvally-Dragon, and Electric-immune Pokemon such as Golem and Sandslash. Moreover, Electivire should always look to pivot out of Pokemon that wall it, such as Bronzor and Lickilicky. Lastly, while Electivire has mediocre physical bulk, its adequate special bulk and Motor Drive enable it to comfortably switch into attacks from the likes of Zebstrika, Silvally-Water, and Oricorio.

Team Options
========
Electivire can form effective VoltTurn cores alongside Pokemon such as Silvally-Water and Oricorio, as they help break down its checks and counters such as Golem and Bronzor. Grass-types such as Shiftry, Simisage, and Abomasnow are great partners for Electivire, as they can help check Ground-types for Electivire to pivot around more easily. Moreover, Motor Drive allows Electivire to pair well with Water- and Flying-types such as Chatot and Floatzel. However, Electivire is stopped cold by bulky Pokemon such as Bronzor and Lickilicky. Thus, strong wallbreakers such as Choice Band Komala and Swords Dance Pinsir help eliminate Electivire's defensive counterplay, and they appreciate Electivire's ability to bring them in safely. In the same token, entry hazard support from Pokemon such as Golem is a necessity, as Electivire is able to force many switches and whittle down the opposing team for a late-game cleanup.

[SET]
name: Mixed Attacker
move 1: Wild Charge / Thunderbolt
move 2: Flamethrower
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Cross Chop
item: Life Orb
ability: Motor Drive
nature: Lonely / Hasty
IVs: 29 HP
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
Thanks to its tremendous power and coverage options, Electivire threatens to 2HKO much of the defensive metagame. Its powerful physical STAB Wild Charge enables it to break through Bronzor, whereas typical switch-ins such as Gourgeist-XL, Gabite, and Silvally-Ground are threatened by Flamethrower or Ice Punch. Thunderbolt may be used over Wild Charge to reduce recoil, but it is generally inferior. Lastly, Cross Chop allows Electivire to 2HKO bulky Pokemon such as Lickilicky and Cradily, which would otherwise wall it.

Set Details
========
A Lonely nature is used because Electivire already has poor physical bulk and should not drop its Special Defense. Alternatively, Hasty can be used to outpace Pokemon such as Oricorio and Jolly Pinsir. The 29 HP IVs reduce Life Orb recoil damage.

Usage Tips
========
Electivire should be brought in safely through pivots, after a teammate has been knocked out, or off a double switch. Once on the field, Electivire should primarily attempt to fire off STAB attacks, but it is also crucial to predict Electric-type switch-ins and utilize appropriate coverage options. Furthermore, Electivire's middling Speed tier and susceptibility to recoil damage mean that it should be wary of the opponent pivoting around with defensive checks. However, Electivire can capitalize on this by double switching out to a teammate. Lastly, Electivire should utilize Motor Drive and its decent special bulk to switch into predicted Electric- or Flying-type attacks from Raichu and Swanna.

Team Options
========
Pokemon such as Golem, Crustle, and Gabite provide entry hazard support to help net certain KOs, such as against Lickilicky and Crustle. In the same token, Electivire appreciates hazard removers such as Silvally-Water, Servine, and Komala to prevent it from taking chip damage. Mixed Electivire should be paired with Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Chatot and Z-Me First Pinsir, which appreciate its ability to break through walls such as Gourgeist-XL and Bronzor. Furthermore, Pokemon such as Floatzel and Dugtrio, as well as Choice Scarf users such as Silvally, help check faster attackers that threaten to revenge kill Electivire. Conversely, Electivire pairs well with defensive Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL, Bronzor, and Altaria that can help switch into Pokemon that threaten it. Lastly, pivots such as Silvally-Dragon and Oricorio pair extremely well with Electivire, as they help bring it in safely.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Expert Belt may be used over Life Orb on mixed sets to bluff Choice Scarf and improve Electivire's longevity. Maximum Special Attack may be used over the standard physically biased EV spreads in order to more easily play around physically bulky Pokemon, as well as improving Electivire's ability to wear down foes through Volt Switch. Lastly, Vital Spirit is a niche option over Motor Drive and allows Electivire to absorb sleep on teams that are vulnerable to sleep inducers such as Tangela, Bellossom, and Smeargle.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-type Pokemon such as Silvally-Ground, Camerupt, and Sandslash can pressure Choice Scarf and Life Orb Electivire defensively and threaten to OHKO it, while it typically cannot OHKO them with coverage.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Electivire lacks wallbreaking power and heavily relies on correct prediction to effectively deal damage. Consequently, it is easily walled by bulky Pokemon such as Lickilicky, Cradily, Bronzor, and Dusclops.

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL, Tangela, and Golem can wall Choice Scarf Electivire and subsequently force it to pivot out or lock itself into coverage. However, these Pokemon are heavily threatened by Electivire's mixed set.

**Faster Pokemon**: An unboosted Electivire is relatively easy to revenge kill due to its middling Speed tier and mediocre physical bulk. Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Rapidash can also threaten to OHKO Electivire.

This is an AM QC Check, Implement What You Want. Recommendations in BOLD

[OVERVIEW]

  • Electivire is a premier Choice Scarf user thanks to its ability to pivot and check top threats such as Floatzel, Pinsir, and Zebstrika. Does Electivire check all 3, yes! Does it pivot out of all 3? No, Zebstrika has an Electric immunity. I would suggest replacing that example.
  • Great coverage options enable Electivire to run a potent mixed wallbreaker set that can threaten typical switch-ins such as Golem, Gourgeist-XL, and Silvally-Dragon. Electivire can also run a mixed wallbreaker set. From what it reads here it sounds like the Choice Scarf set is a wallbreaker because there is no transition between ideas really.
  • Electivire can be difficult to predict thanks to its vast coverage and numerous roles it can fill vague, describe in better detail. Some ideas would be to include how it can be somewhat hard to predict what set it is from Team Preview and that once it goes for an attack you can see if there is LO chip or not.
  • While Electivire is a strong physical attacker, it is often forced to rely on its lower Special Attack to break through physical walls such as?
  • Its unboosted Speed tier and lack of physical bulk leaves Electivire susceptible to faster Pokemon and priority users such as Kecleon and Pawniard alike
Mention that Choice Scarf Electivire is prediction reliant and doesn't really do a good job of breaking defensive backbones.

Moves
========
  • Volt Switch allows Electivire to pivot out on Pokemon it cannot beat and helps to gain momentum How important is gaining momentum. Why is keeping forward momentum good?
  • Wild Charge gives Electivire the ability to reliably revenge kill threats such as Silvally-Water, Kadabra, and Purugly
  • Earthquake is used to 2HKO or OHKO Pokemon that Electivire's STABs cannot, such as Rapidash, Probopass, offensive Golem, and Camerupt
  • Cross Chop may be used over Earthquake to hit also Normal-types such as, but lacks the same accuracy and misses out on some of the aforementioned Pokemon such as.
  • Ice Punch is used to hit Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-type Pokemon such as Leafeon, Altaria, and Gabite who would otherwise switch into Electivire comfortably. Ice Punch also has perfect neutral coverage with Wild Charge and Volt Switch. Also Leafeon takes like what? 50%? from Ice Punch, certainly there is a better Grass-type to mention here. Currently your list says Ground Dragon Grass: Grass Dragon Ground. Fix this so that they are parrallel on both sides of the colon.

Set Details
========
  • A Choice Scarf enables Electivire to revenge Pokemon that it normally cannot, such as Floatzel and Zebstrika.
  • It also allows Electivire to outpace slower Choice Scarf users such as Mr. Mime, Pinsir, and Rotom-S. Mention that its the best Choice Scarf user in the tier and therefore sets the benchmark for other Choice Scarf users.
  • Motor Drive gives Electivire the ability to pivot into Electric-type Pokemon and attacks respectively. Let me switch in my Electivire against an opposing Electivire which has EQ but its an Electric-type. Electric move users doesnt have to be just Electric-types. Ex. S-Water.

Usage Tips
========
  • Electivire should be used to revenge kill faster Pokemon after being brought in safely after a KO or from a teammate's pivot Or predicting a double switch.
  • Upon switching in, Electivire should be used to pick off weakened or more frail Pokemon such as Swanna, Combusken, and Komala.
  • Electivire should be wary of locking itself into a STAB move because that invites in Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-type Pokemon examples, preferably ones different from the ones you mentioned in Moves. What are some situations where locking yourself into a STAB move is okay. Mention prediction reliance.
  • Hence, Electivire should utilize coverage moves on predicted Electric-type switch-ins You can tie this point in with the previous point.
  • In a similar vein, an Electivire locked into a coverage move has less damage output and is subsequently easier to play around Therefore, Electivire should only do so when...

Team Options
========
  • Electivire can form effective VoltTurn cores alongside Pokemon such as Silvally-Water and Oricorio as they can help break down its checks and counters we add the phrase "Pokemon such as" because S-Water and Oricorio are obviously not the only two mons that Electivire can form a VoltTurn core with. Thus, we want to generalize by mentioning Pokemon such as and then list examples.
  • Grass-types such as Shiftry, Servine, and Abomasnow are great partners for Electivire as they can help check Ground-types such as?.
  • Electivire also pairs well with Water- and Flying-types such as Swanna and Floatzel thanks to Motor Drive Both of these are Water-types, I would suggest changing Swanna to a different Flying-type.
  • Strong wallbreakers such as Choice Band Komala and Swords Dance Pinsir can help weaken teams for Electivire to clean in the late-game by doing what? breaking apart defensive cores?

Moves
========
  • Thunderbolt is used to hit physically bulky Pokemon such as physically defensive Altaria and Crustle Ice Punch does way way more to Altaria, even if it is invested into physical bulk, its a 4x SE attack.
  • Flamethrower gives Electivire the ability to hit Grass-types such as Tangela, Gourgeist-XL, and Leafeon for super effective damage Surely there are other targets for Flamethrower other than Grass-types. Bronzor is one I can think of easily off the topof my head. I'm sure there are also others.
  • Focus Blast enables Electivire to hit specially bulky Pokemon such as Lickilicky, Cradily, Assault Vest Komala AV Komala is not a good example. Return + Sucker Punch is kills and Focus Blast does like 65% max.
  • Earthquake is the preferred final move as it able to hit Muk, as well as opposing Electric-types such as Stunfisk for super effective damage. Also hits things like Camerupt
  • Ice Punch may be used over Earthquake it as it enables Electivire to OHKO or 2HKO Pokemon such as specially defensive Roselia, Altaria, and Gabite
Set Details
========
  • A Hasty nature is used as Electivire already has poor physical bulk and should not hinder its Special Defense
  • A Life Orb is used to net OHKOs or 2HKOs against Pokemon such as Golem, Pinsir, Altaria, and Lickilicky. make sure you do calcs to see if the difference between having a LO or not makes the difference, if not, find better examples
Usage Tips
========
  • Electivire should use Thunderbolt as its main form of attacking, as it will be typically be checked by a physically bulky Pokemon
  • Due to Electivire's comparably weaker Special Attack, it should look to hit Pokemon for super effective damage rather than attempting to break through bulkier Pokemon with its STAB move
  • However, Electivire must be wary of Life Orb recoil, as the opponent will likely attempt to pivot around Electivire to whittle it down
  • Furthermore, Electivire should avoid taking damage, and should only stay in against weaker special attackers or Pokemon it can threaten to knock out

Team Options
========
  • Pokemon such as Golem, Crustle, and Gabite provide entry hazard support which helps net certain KOs. For example, Electivire can 2HKO Lickilicky using Focus Blast, and threatens to OHKO Tangela with Flamethrower after Stealth Rock damage.
  • In the same token, Electivire appreciates hazard removers such as Silvally-Water, Servine, and Sandslash who prevent it from taking chip damage.
  • Mixed Electivire should be paired with Pokemon that appreciate its wallbreaking capabilities. Pokemon such as Combusken and Nasty Plot Salac Berry Simipour can sweep a weakened team late-game.
  • Fast Pokemon such as Floatzel and Dugtrio, and Choice Scarf users such as Sawsbuck, Silvally, and Pinsir can help check the Pokemon that outpace and subsequently threaten Electivire.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • An Expert Belt can be used over Life Orb to prevent any recoil damage and bluff a Choice Scarf set, but loses out on certain OHKOs or 2HKOs. For example, without a Life Orb, Electivire cannot 2HKO physically defensive Altaria after Stealth Rock, and misses out on the guaranteed OHKO against Tangela.
  • Taunt can be used over a coverage move on the mixed set to allow Electivire to break stall more effectively. However, losing out on coverage makes Electivire easier to pivot around or wall. List some examples of Pokemon Taunt Electivire shuts down very well.
Add Hidden Power Grass

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-type Pokemon such as Silvally-Ground, Stunfisk, and Sandslash can pressure Choice Scarf and Life Orb Electivire defensively, and threaten to OHKO Electivire while it typically cannot OHKO them with coverage. Add Camerupt, more relevant than Stun

**Faster Pokemon**: An unboosted Electivire is relatively easy to revenge kill due to its middling Speed tier and mediocre physical bulk. Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Rapidash and Alolan Dugtrio can also threaten to OHKO Choice Scarf Electivire. Scarf Rapidash and Duggy-A threten to OHKO Mixed Evire too. remove Choice Scarf where strikedthrough

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL, Tangela, and Golem can wall Choice Scarf Electivire, and force it to pivot out or lock itself into coverage. However, these Pokemon are heavily threatened by Electivire's mixed set.

**Priority Users**: Electivire is susceptible to priority attacks from Pokemon such as Kecleon, Abomasnow, Pawniard, and Shiftry due to its poor physical bulk and how easily it can be worn down.

I think Priority users should go above physical walls

Overview
  • Mention specifically in the overview what Electivire's mixed options are
  • Electivire doesn't really "check" these Pokemon more than offensively. Instead say "revenge kill" to be more accurate.
  • Mention Electivire's ability in Motor Drive acting as a Electric immunity
  • Talk about how Electric-typing is very good offensively as Water-types are thriving at the moment.
  • Talk about Electivire's mediocre bulk, particularly on the physical side, and how it carries very little defensive value
  • You should be upfront about Electivire's viability in the tier - Electivire is the best Electric-type in ZU right now, by kind of a long shot.
  • Scarf Electivire kinda sucks at wallbreaking in general and should not be depended upon for power, probably worth mentioning that
Set
  • Discussed with Xayah and we want the set to look like this:
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Wild Charge / Flamethrower
move 3: Earthquake / Cross Chop
move 4: Ice Punch
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Motor Drive
nature: Jolly / Naive
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Mention an alternate spread of 4 Atk / 252 Spa / 252 Spe with a Naive nature in Set Details
Moves:
  • Reflect Flamethrower in moves, be sure to mention that it notably hits Gourgeist-XL
  • Mention how Wild Charge is just an overall powerful STAB attack and is Electivire's best option for when it needs to have a powerful neutral attack that doesn't switch it out.
  • Mention the Normal-types that Cross Chop hits (Bouff, Komala, Kecleon)
  • Alolan Dugtrio is a notable hit from Earthquake since it it immune to Electric and takes Ice Punch neutrally
  • Just went and looked at aaron's check after I finished mine. Would not recommend adding the forward momentum part.
Set Details:
  • Reflect the spread and nature changes to the set. Describe that you want to be using the specially-based set when using Flamethrower over Wild Charge along with a Naive nature
  • Just say electric-type attacks when mentioning motor drive
Usage Tips:
  • The reason Scarf vire is a thing right now is Floatzel, at least mention it in here.
  • Komala isn't exactly a frail Pokemon, I'd pick another example
  • Give some examples of those grass ground dragons
  • Prediction is absolutely required when using this set as getting locked into a bad coverage move is SUCH a momentum killer
Team Options:
  • Servine is kinda bad right now, mention something like Leafeon or Simisage instead
  • Mention hazard support to help wear down checks as Electivire forces a lot of switches and really helps with cleaning late game
Mixed Attacker set:
  • Ice Punch is mandatory because of our good friend Altaria (and other ground types). Focus Blast is less so to me. I'd make Earthquake slashed with Focus Blast.
  • I think Naive over hasty but I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter.
Moves:
  • Thunderbolt doesn't really hit Altaria very hard, just give a better example
  • Mention Cross Chop as an alternate option to hit Specially bulky Pokemon it hits them harder. no need to slash it on the set, however.
  • Don't really feel like the Pokemon you picked take very much from Focus Blast. Might want to pick better examples for Focus Blast targets, say, Probopass or Golem
  • Please don't mention Stunfisk as your best electric type, it doesn't exactly take much from it anyway. Zebstrika / Raichu are better examples
  • What else does Earthquake hit? (Probopass, Rapidash, other firetypes come to mind)
Set Details:
  • Not really sure on the Life Orb examples, could you be a bit more specific?
Usage Tips:
  • Electivire should be abusing its great movepool and coverage to punch holes through teams. It's main form of attacking isn't through STAB Thunderbolt, its through the appropriate coverage move most times. (you touch on this very well in the second bullet point but its unclear because of your first)
  • Talk about how Electivire needs to make good predictions against faster playstyles because of its moderate speed tier holding it back on top of life orb recoil tending to accumulate quickly
Team Options:
  • Particularly nice job here.
Other Options:
  • Fightinium Z with either Focus Blast or Cross Chop to lure in things and KO is nice
  • Expert Belt can also be good at bluffing a Scarf set.
  • Also on the expert belt bullet don't mention the Altaria calc, Electivire should always be running Ice Punch in my opinion
  • Mention how Taunt really helps in a bulky matchup since Electivire tends to be really sucky versus stall since it gets worn down easy and fails to achieve key KOs. Give direct examples of what Electivire is able to taunt.
  • Hidden Power Grass is generally a pretty sucky coverage move but can maybe be worth a mention as its a really good option to hit Golem or like maybe whiscash lol?
  • Mention Vital Spirit as an option to be a sleep absorber if having trouble with Sleep Powder users
Checks and Counters:
  • Might be nice to mention overall bulky Pokemon as the scarf set is very bad at wallbreaking as it's just pretty weak and relies on coverage

nice job, 1/3 once implemented

Overview
  • Say 'one of the premier' instead of 'the premier'. We don't know where the meta's gonna go in the upcoming months and we don't wanna have to change the analysis if it changes.
  • Mention its very solid Speed
Set: Choice Scarf

Moves
  • Mention some examples of Pokemon EVire is gonna wanna pivot out of.
Set Details
  • Remove the sentences about Scarf, they're obvious from the Overview.
Usage Tips
  • 'arguably' or 'one of' the best Choice Scarf users, no abolutes.
  • EVire's switchins aren't Electric-type. Change the wording in the fourth line
  • Mention using EVire's solid natural bulk to switch into certain Pokemon (give examples)
Team Options
  • Can mention something about Pokemon that appreciate FThrower EVire luring Gourg if you want, up to you.

Set: Mixed Attacker

Moves
  • You should go a little more in depth as to why this set prefers specially biased over physical, should do that either in the TBolt point or in set details.
  • Lickilicky has to be mentioned in the Cross Chop line, it's its biggest target
  • Wild Charge should be mentioned, with a physically biased spread in Set Details.
Set Details
  • See above
  • Expert Belt maybe could be mentioned here instead of OO, I think it's better than most of the options there. Up to you.
Usage Tips
  • Mention bluffing Scarf before firing off the first hit or if running EBelt.
Team Options
  • Is there a reason you mentioned NP Salac Simipour over something like Smash Crustle or BU Floatzel? Seems really arbitrary. If there's a reason, mention that. If not, replace it.
Other Options
  • If you add EBelt to Wallbreaker Set Details, remove it from here.
  • Maybe add ETerrain + Terrain Extender to this, up to you.
Checks & Counters
Good

Nicely done, QC 2/3

[OVERVIEW]
Electivire is one of the premier Choice Scarf users thanks to its above average Speed tier, ability to pivot, and capability to revenge kill top threats such as Floatzel and Pinsir. As a result, Electivire is arguably the best Electric-type in the tier due to its offensive capabilities, and thrives in a Water-type centric metagame. Furthermore, great coverage options in Flamethrower, Earthquake, Ice Punch, and Cross Chop enable Electivire to run a potent mixed wallbreaker with a Life Orb set that can threaten typical switch-ins such as Golem, Gourgeist-XL, and Silvally-Dragon dragonvally is solely an offensive mon and is easily worn down, so this shouldn't be regarded as a "typical switch-in" at all. Conversely, in a metagame where Electric-type attacks are ubiquitous, Motor Drive allows Electivire to act as an Electric-type immunity. However, Electivire faces notable issues in the current metagame. While it is a strong physical attacker, Electivire is often forced to rely on its lower Special Attack to break through physical walls such as Tangela the only relevant Pokemon to talk about when discussing this flaw is Gourgeist-Super. Consequently, Choice Scarf Electivire fails to bust through bulkier Pokemon such as Lickilicky and should not be used to wallbreak the nature of it being a scarfer and the contents in the set itself, combined with the fact that there is a specific wallbreaker set already should be indicative enough. also, Bronzor is an important and prevalent Pokemon to mention here. Lastly, Electivire's poor physical bulk leaves it with little defensive utility, and as a result is susceptible to faster Pokemon and priority users such as Kecleon and Pawniard alike the threat level of priority is a bit exaggerated; both of these pokemon only do about half with their own sucker punch, for reference. as for its defensive utility, its got motor drive and decent special bulk, but the mentioning of its physical bulk is a fair reference.

Moves
========
Volt Switch allows Electivire to pivot out on Pokemon it cannot beat such as Tangela and defensive Sandslash, and helps to gain momentum.Next, Wild Charge is Electivire's best option to deal neutral damage; with the ability to reliably revenge kill threats such as Silvally-Water, Kadabra, and Purugly without pivoting out. However, Flamethrower and a Naive nature may be used over a Wild Charge and a Jolly nature in order to pick up the 2HKO against Gourgeist-XL, who can otherwise counter this set. Earthquake is used to 2HKO or OHKO Pokemon that Electivire's STABs cannot, such as Probopass, offensive Golem, and Alolan Dugtrio. Cross Chop may be used over Earthquake to hit Normal-types Electivire can struggle with such as Komala and Bouffalant, but lacks the same accuracy and misses out on Pokemon such as Rapidash and Camerupt. Lastly, Ice Punch is used to hit Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-type Pokemon such as Gabite, Altaria, and defensive Roselia, who would otherwise switch into Electivire comfortably.

there are a lot of issues with the section, namely the inaccuracies of why certain moves are used (sandslash is immune to volt switch, etc.) as well as a bit of fluff here and there (you don't need to go too specific into examples, just cover the general basis of what the moves are for.) here's a proposed change that would work best for this paragraph:

Volt Switch capitalizes on forced switches that the rest of Electivire's moves causes, helping it keep up pressure against defensive teams that can otherwise switch around this set. Earthquake punishes all Electric-immune switch-ins besides Silvally-Ground and Sandslash, which Ice Punch can hit alongside Altaria, two target groups that are not easily chipped by other attacks. Flamethrower and Cross Chop aren't optimally used together but both cover Abomasnow while one or the other can threaten Gourgeist-XL or Komala.

Set Details
========
Motor Drive gives Electivire the ability to pivot into Electric-type Pokemon and attacks respectively. A spread of 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe with a Naive nature can be used alongside Flamethrower and Volt Switch to help improve Electivire's matchup against physically bulky Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL and Pyukumuku. not really pyukumuku, and gourgeist does not need to be mentioned bc you'd never used flamethrower without Naive. It's mainly for floatzel.
4 SpA Electivire Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Floatzel: 252-296 (81 - 95.1%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
0- SpA Electivire Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Floatzel: 224-266 (72 - 85.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Usage Tips
========
Electivire is arguably the best Choice Scarf user largely because of its ability to revenge kill Floatzel telling us how "good" a choice scarf user is has nothing to do with how to use it, and the overview already points that out either way.. Consequently what is 'consequently' about this?, Electivire should be used to revenge kill faster Pokemon after being brought in safely after a KO, predicting a double switch, or from a teammate's pivot. Upon switching in, Electivire should be used to pick off weakened or more frail Pokemon such as Swanna, Combusken, and Dugtrio there's a lot of redundancies i'm seeing between these two sentences, as "picking off weakened or more frail Pokemon" is synonymous to "revenge kill threats". Electivire should be wary of locking itself into a STAB move because that invites in Ground-, Dragon-, and Grass-type Pokemon such as Silvally-Ground, Silvally-Dragon, and Abomasnow. Hence, Electivire should utilize coverage moves on predicted switch-ins pick one sentence or the other when describing using coverage moves, as having both is redundant. In a similar vein, an Electivire locked into a coverage move has less damage output and is subsequently easier to play around. Therefore, Electivire should only predict when necessary this is already specified, and this is literally the point here. Lastly, while Electivire has mediocre physical bulk, its adequate special bulk enables it to switch into take hits from the like of Zebstrika, Silvally-Water, and Oricorio.

you're going to want to trim this down to removing a lot of the redundancies, mainly. further, you'll want to talk about 2 more things:
- how it should address threats that tank its moveset by avoiding giving them free turns via volt switching out (mons like licky, bronzor, and supergeist
- how it can use motor drive / flying resist to come in on other electrics/oricorios (i feel like this would be better content for the current last sentence overall

Team Options
========
Electivire can form effective VoltTurn cores alongside Pokemon such as Silvally-Water and Oricorio as they can help break down its checks and counters. Grass-types such as Shiftry, Simisage, and Abomasnow are great partners for Electivire, as they can help check Ground-types. Moreover, Motor Drive allows Electivire to pair well with Water- and Flying-types such as Chatot and Floatzel. Electivire also appreciates strong wallbreakers such as Choice Band Komala and Swords Dance Pinsir, who can help weaken teams for it to clean in the late-game the fact that it momentums them in against defensive teams is huge too. In the same token, hazard setting support from Pokemon such as Roselia and Golem is a necessity, as Electivire is able to force many switches and whittle down the opposing team for a late-game clean up. If a specially biased set is used, Pokemon such as Bulk Up Floatzel, Choice Band Komala, and Shell Smash Crustle appreciate Electivire's ability to lure in Gourgeist-XL and Tangela, and 2HKO them with Flamethrower. but it's not a specially offensive set. that is OO either way.

bronzor counterplay needs to be emphasized here, and it's the most prevalent check to this set and hard counters any option besides volt switch.

Electivire @ Life Orb
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Lonely / Hasty Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Wild Charge / Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop

this set is vastly more optimal against ZU's defensive portion of the meta as wild charge+lonely 2hkoes bronzor, while cross chop hits the spdef normal types far more optimally than focus blast (you'd really only use this move to hit golem on special). it doesn't even 2hko lickilicky bc of leftovers+protect, whereas cross chop does regardless. You'll have to rewrite all of the contents of Moves and Set Details to reflect this set (and be mindful of the writing standards, it's important to focus on being concise)

Moves
========
Although Electivire boasts a tremendous Attack stat, it is fairly easy to wall given the amount of physically bulky Pokemon in the tier such as Gourgeist-XL, defensive Golem, Bronzor, and Tangela. Consequently, a specially based set enables Electivire to break through would be defensive counterplay. Thunderbolt is used to hit physically bulky Pokemon such as physically defensive Granbull and Crustle. Flamethrower gives Electivire the ability to hit Grass-types such as Tangela, Gourgeist-XL, and Leafeon for super effective damage, who can otherwise pivot into its attacks. Flamethrower also hits Bronzor for good damage, who can tank any other attack. Next, Earthquake is the preferred move as it able to 2HKO Muk, Probopass, and Camerupt, as well as being able to OHKO Electric-types such as Raichu and Zebstrika. However, Focus Blast can be used over Earthquake to allow Electivire to OHKO bulky Pokemon such as Air Balloon Probopass and physically defensive Golem. However, Cross Chop is also a notable option that hits specially bulky Pokemon such as Cradily, Lickilicky, and Komala for greater damage. Finally, Ice Punch is mandatory coverage as it enables Electivire to OHKO or 2HKO switch-ins such as Altaria, Gabite, and specially defensive Roselia.

Set Details
========
A Hasty nature is used as Electivire already has poor physical bulk and should not hinder its Special Defense. Next, a Life Orb enables Electivire to OHKO Pinsir and Tangela with Flamethrower, OHKO Altaria with Ice Punch, and OHKO Muk after Steakth Rock damage. However, an Expert Belt may be used over Life Orb in order to improve Electivire's longevity. A physically based set with Wild Charge over Thunderbolt and a spread of 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe can be used to take advantage of Electivire's immense Attack stat. Ebelt and all of its contents are more appropriately moved to OO, as it's an overall less optimal item but has its few set of quirks.

Usage Tips
========
In team preview, it is difficult for the opponent to discern Electivire's set. Electivire is able to bluff a Choice Scarf if running Expert Belt, or if it does not immediately attack, so it should be played cautiously to start cautiously is more appropriate when describing how to play around it, rather than with it. Due to its comparably lower Special Attack, Electivire should look to hit Pokemon for super effective damage, rather than attempt to break through bulkier Pokemon with its STAB move the content in Moves is meant to describe what each move appropriately accomplishes, which would render comments like this redundant. However, Electivire must be wary of Life Orb recoil, as the opponent will likely attempt to pivot around Electivire to whittle it down. Furthermore, Electivire should avoid taking damage. you can't "avoid" it, so a lot of this should be cut aside from a brief mention of recoil It should only stay in against weaker special attackers or Pokemon it can threaten to knock out that's what it's meant to do, threaten what's slower or can't really threaten it back enough to avoid being 1v1'd so that's self-explanatory. Against faster teams, Electivire should be played more aggressively through predictions, as its middling Speed tier and Life Orb recoil leave it vulnerable to revenge killers such as Floatzel and Dugtrio what you want to say here instead is come in on a predicted electric move or through a double switch on a slower mon. Lastly, if a physically based set is used, Electivire becomes less reliant on coverage to wallbreak, and can instead fire off a more powerful STAB attack. This enables Electivire to break through Pokemon it only hits for neutral damage such as Silvally-Fighting, Assault Vest Kecleon, and Beheeyem more easily there is no physical set of relevance here, so this bit should be removed.

Team Options
========
Pokemon such as Golem, Crustle, and Gabite provide entry hazard support which helps net certain KOs. For example, Electivire can 2HKO Lickilicky using Focus Blast, and threatens to OHKO Tangela with Flamethrower after Stealth Rock damage the licky example is not always guaranteed things like this usually do not merit a standalone sentence either way. In the same token, Electivire appreciates hazard removers such as Silvally-Water, Servine, and Sandslash komala > sandslash who prevent it from taking chip damage. Mixed Electivire should be paired with Pokemon that appreciate its wallbreaking capabilities. Pokemon such as Combusken and Shell Smash Crustle can sweep a weakened team late-game why are these standalone sentences? also there's no examples of who evire can break through that they would appreciate either. Fast Pokemon such as Floatzel and Dugtrio, and Choice Scarf users such as Sawsbuck i wouldn't call sawsbuck a relevant scarfer, Silvally, and Pinsir can help check the Pokemon that outpace and subsequently threaten Electivire just say "faster attackers", i feel like this is going into too much on something that can easily be simplified.

there's talk about this pokemon being prone to revenge killers, but not much about its defensive teammates since they give it a backbone to fall back on against revenge killers. mons like supergeist and bronzor are prominent examples. also, i'd mention teammates that give it momentum as well.

Other Options
=============
Taunt can be used over a coverage move on the mixed set to allow Electivire to break stall more effectively. For example, it is able to prevent Gourgeist-XL from recovering HP with Synthesis or Leech Seed, and it also prevents Altaria or Silvally formes from removing hazards with Defog. Taunt also helps mitigate recoil damage from Life Orb. However, losing out on coverage makes Electivire easier to pivot around or wall outside of stall teams. Taunt should be removed, as it doesn't actually improve its wallbreaking ability against any playstyle at all. Its mixed coverage does all of that for you. Also, the statement that it would make it easier to wall, yet would make it better against the playstyle that is designed to wall everything is contradictory. Just a future reference. Fightinium Z can be used alongside Focus Blast or Cross Chop to nuke Pokemon such as Cradily, Lickilicky, and Komala respectively. doesn't seem like this accomplishes anything beyond what LO/Ebelt Cross Chop already does besides waste a z-slot. Vital Spirit is a niche option over Motor Drive and allows Electivire to absorb sleep on teams that are susceptible to sleep inducers such as Roselia, Tangela, Bellossom, and Smeargle.

Ebelt and Specially Based sets are OO

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Ground-types**: Bulky Ground-type Pokemon such as Silvally-Ground, Camerupt, and Sandslash can pressure Choice Scarf and Life Orb Electivire defensively, and threaten to OHKO Electivire while it typically cannot OHKO them with coverage.

**Faster Pokemon**: An unboosted Electivire is relatively easy to revenge kill due to its middling Speed tier and mediocre physical bulk. Faster Choice Scarf Pokemon such as Rapidash and Alolan Dugtrio can also threaten to OHKO Electivire.

**Priority Users**: Electivire is susceptible to priority attacks from Pokemon such as Kecleon, Abomasnow, Pawniard, and Shiftry due to its poor physical bulk and how easily it can be worn down.

**Physical Walls**: Physically bulky Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL, Tangela, and Golem can wall Choice Scarf Electivire, and subsequently force it to pivot out or lock itself into coverage. However, these Pokemon are heavily threatened by Electivire's mixed set.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Choice Scarf Electivire lacks wallbreaking power and heavily relies on correct prediction to effectively deal damage. Consequently, it is easily walled by bulky Pokemon such as Lickilicky, Cradily, Bronzor, and Dusclops.

this needs to be organized better and priority users do not warrant a separate section. as for organizing, 1. bulky ground types, 2. bulky pokemon, 3. physical walls, and 4. faster pokemon. The first 3 emphasizes the scarf answers while the last one more accurately emphasizes the life orb answers.

There is a ton here that needs restructuring (including a set change) but I want to say that the Overview did a solid job in how it concisely points out its niche in a way that is convenient. As for the overall writing, you are quite eloquent, but it would really help to summarize certain parts of the analysis to read better. Good work overall for your first analysis! Be sure to check back with me once you're done implementing the changes, as I'd like to look over this once more before you send it GP. Thanks! :afrostar:

props to Froasty for helping giving feedback on some parts of this as I was QCing it ^^

[OVERVIEW]
Electivire is one of the premier Choice Scarf users thanks to its above average Speed tier, ability to pivot, and capability to revenge kill top threats such as Floatzel and Pinsir. Furthermore, great coverage options enable Electivire to run a potent mixed wallbreaker set with a Life Orb set that can threaten typical switch-ins such as Golem and Lickilicky. As a result, Electivire is arguably the best Electric-type in the tier due to its offensive capabilities, and it especially thrives in a Water-type centric metagame. Conversely, in a metagame where Electric-type attacks are ubiquitous, Motor Drive allows Electivire to act as provide an Electric-type immunity. However, Electivire faces notable issues in the current metagame. While it while Electivire is a strong physical attacker, Electivire it is often forced to rely on its lower Special Attack to break through physical walls such as Gourgeist-XL.

Volt Switch allows Electivire to take advantage of forced switches caused by its coverage options, helping it to maintain pressure against defensive teams that can otherwise switch into this set. Earthquake catches most Electric-immune switch-ins aside from Silvally-Ground, Sandslash, and Gabite, whom which Ice Punch can punish alongside Altaria, (comma) two target groups Electivire otherwise cannot easily chip down. Flamethrower and Cross Chop are not optimal coverage options, but they the former enables Electivire to threaten Abomasnow, Komala, and Gourgeist-XL respectively, and the latter targets Komala. (see if this still checks out contentwise obv, but just get rid of respectively bc that really won't work here)

Implemented, much appreciated. GP 1/2.

It's Naive over Hasty on Scarf so Electivire takes less from priority, and faster scarfers are typically physical as well.
