Idk, the last few episodes have all had fairly substantial numbers. I think it's more that each episode features at least a couple of new additions but the law of averages means that sometimes "a couple" stretches to high single figures while other times it can be a literal couple (or even just one).

Jokes aside, Paldea rep is going much better compared to Journeys' Galar rep, or at least it feels that way. At this point the vast majority of unseen Paldea Pokemon are Paradoxes and Legendaries, who are presumably being saved for endgame episodes. Carmine was seen in this episode and we know Briar is coming soon. Remember when they did Crown Tundra episodes without Calyrex, the steeds and the Galar birds?
