[SET COMMENTS]
Excadrill is a decent entry hazard lead in the metagame thanks to its ability to set Stealth Rock against Magic Bounce Pokemon. It also has great utility moves in Rapid Spin and Rock Tomb to aid it in the matchup versus other common leads like Deoxys-S and Smeargle. Rock Tomb lowers the Speed of opposing lead Pokemon that Excadrill or its teammates would otherwise be slower than, and it also prevents sweepers like Dynamaxed Yveltal, Mega Rayquaza, and Xerneas from KOing Excadrill with Speed boosts under their belt. A high Attack stat and Earthquake ensure that Excadrill isn't passive setup bait, letting it threaten common entry hazard setters such as Primal Groudon, Necrozma-DM, and Ferrothorn as well as potentially OHKO Zacian-C; this forces them to KO Excadrill, which allows its teammates to safely enter the field and take advantage of the Stealth Rock that it has laid. Toxic is also a viable option over Earthquake to pressure Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Zygarde-C, support Arceus formes without Refresh, and other Pokemon that try to set up on Excadrill. Rapid Spin removes entry hazards set by other lead Pokemon such as Deoxys-S, Primal Groudon, and Smeargle and provides Excadrill with a Speed boost to outspeed and threaten faster Pokemon. A Jolly nature is used to outspeed Smeargle, support Arceus formes, Modest Yveltal and Xerneas, and, after one Speed boost from Rapid Spin, Jolly Zacian-C. Focus Sash is the chosen item, as it guarantees that Excadrill will survive any one non-multi-hit move from faster Pokemon, which improves the chance of it gettingbeing able to set Stealth Rock up.

Excadrill fits best on hyper offense teams due to the fact that other playstyles generally do not appreciate a dedicated suicide lead. Beating lead Substitute Zacian-C is essential for offense, as otherwise, it said foe will most likely outspeed and KO or severely damage the rest of the Excadrill's team, preventing safe setup in most cases. Entry hazard-sensitive Pokemon such as Mega Rayquaza, Lunala, and Yveltal really appreciate Excadrill's ability to get rid of entry hazards. Other sweepers such as Zacian-C, Xerneas, and Dragon Dance Zygarde-C are also great teammates for Excadrill. Pokemon that can block Excadrill's Rapid Spin like Ferrothorn and Ghost-types like Lunala can be problematic, so teammates that can take advantage of them such as Zacian-C and Yveltal are also appreciated.

Excadrill is one of the best suicidehazard leads in the tier thanks to its ability Mold Breaker, allowing it to bypass the Magic Bounce ability to set Stealth Rock, alongside its solid Attack stat and further utility in Rapid Spin and Rock TombSlide to aid it in winning the hazard war versus other leads.
Earthquake lets Excadrill not be passive setup bait, threatening most Pokemon and forcing them to KO Excadrill which allows its other teammates to safely enter the field and take advantage of the Stealth Rockpointed stones that it layed. Rock Tomb lowers the speed of opposing lead Pokemon that Excadrill or its teammates would otherwise be slower than, and also prevents Ho-Oh from freely using Defog and Sacred Fire in front of Excadrill. Toxic is also an option over Rock TombSlide to cripple the opponent, but Bulldoze is recommended over the stronger Earthquake if running Toxic to retain the Speed lowering move. Rapid Spin removes hazards set by other lead Pokemon such as Deoxys Speed, Ferrothorn ferrothorn is not a good example of a suicide lead. No good player will use it as such, Primal Groudon and other Excadrill as well as providing a Speed boost.
A Jolly Nature is preferred to maximize the chance of setting Stealth Rock before the opponent can exca can spin off rocks even if the opp gets them down first so this doesn’t seem like a particularly compelling reason, and notably outspeeding Jolly Zacian-Crownes after one Rapid Spin Speed boost.

Focus Sash is the chosen item as it guarantees Excadrill to survive any one non multi-hit move from faster Pokemon, which highly improves the chance of it being able to getting rocks up.
Excadrill fits best on Hyper Offense teams, due to the fact that other playstyles generally do not appreciate a dedicated suicide lead. Beating lead Substitute Zacian Crowned is essential for Offense as it will most likely outspeed and KO the rest of the slow, Sticky Web-reliant heavy hitters or setup sweepers. Smeargle is a great partner for Excadrill as it adds to the hazards on the opponent’s side of the field via Sticky Web, and appreciates the hazard removal to keep its Focus Sash intact plus Rock Tomb support as it is likely to be able to outspeed the opponent and use Spore before getting taunted or having its Focus Sash broken. This isn‘t a GP check, but this sentence is really long and could probably be split into two sentences to make for easier readability.

Earthquake lets Excadrill not be passive setup bait, threatening most Pokemon such as groudon primal, necrozma dusk mane, dragon dance zygarde and zacian and forcing them to KO Excadrill which allows its other teammates to safely enter the field and take advantage of the Stealth Rock that it layed. Rock Tomb lowers the speed of opposing lead Pokemon that Excadrill or its teammates would otherwise be slower than, and also prevents Ho-Oh from freely using Defog and Sacred Fire in front of Excadrill. please mention that it also doesnt let yveltal get max airstream boosts and prevents ray from set up ddance and get speed. Toxic is also an option over Rock Slide Tomb to cripple the opponent, but Bulldoze is recommended over the stronger Earthquake if running Toxic to retain the Speed lowering move. i dont think that bulldoze is a viable option, ill discuss with other qc members and let u know if this point should stay or not. remove it for now. Toxic is also a viable option over rock tomb to pressure pokemons such as dragon dance zygarde, supportceus without refresh and other pokemon which try to set up on excadrill. Rapid Spin removes hazards set by other lead Pokemon such as Deoxys Speed, Primal Groudon and smeargle other Excadrill as well as providing a Speed boost to outspeed and threaten faster mons. A Jolly Nature is preferred to notably outspeed modest max speed yveltal and xerneas, groudon-primal, kyogre as well as Jolly Zacian-Crowned after one Rapid Spin Speed boost. Additionally, it benefits from the Rock Tomb support as it is likely to be able to outspeed the opponent and use Spore before getting taunted or having its Focus Sash broken. smeargle + excadrill seems to be a ladder strat at best as teams usually shouldnt be using multiple dedicated suicide leads. Hazard sensitive pokemon such as rayquaza, lunala, yveltal really appreciate exca's ability to get rid of hazards. pokemons which appreciate the foe taking rocks damage such as zacian-crowned, xerneas and zygarde are also great teammates for excadrill.
