[SET COMMENTS]
Ferrothorn acts as a defensive entry hazard setter that checks Pokemon such as Tapu Koko and Mega Swampert. Power Whip pressures Pokemon like Gastrodon and Ting-Lu, while Gyro Ball dents Pokemon like Tapu Lele and Zamazenta while also pressuring Tornadus-T. Knock Off removes Leftovers and Heavy-Duty Boots from switch-ins like Volcarona, Heatran, Zapdos, and opposing Ferrothorn. Leech Seed helps with Ferrothorn's longevity versus vs Pokemon like Dragonite, Weavile, and Mega Swampert while also chipping the opponent's Pokemon. Tera Ghost can be used to check Pokemon such as Great Tusk and Urshifu-R; however, due to its excellent defensive typing, Ferrothorn shouldn't be Terastallized outside of emergency situations. Ferrothorn's Spikes benefits wallbreakers like Weavile, Mega Lopunny, and Tapu Koko, since many of their checks such as Toxapex, Great Tusk, and opposing Ferrothorn are grounded. Ferrothorn's ability to check Water- and Electric-types like Mega Swampert, Floatzel, and Tapu Koko benefits pokemon like Tornadus-T and Heatran by covering their weaknesses; in return, they take advantage of the Spikes Ferrothorn lays and can help check Pokemon it struggles with such as Volcarona and Skeledirge. Rocky Helmet can be used over Leftovers to punish contact moves, though it comes at the cost of Ferrothorn's longevity. Ferrothorn struggles with Fire- and Fighting-types like Heatran, Mega Lopunny, and Zamazenta, meaning Ferrothorn pairs well with Pokemon like Toxapex and Gholdengo. Gholdengo also blocks Defog, allowing Ferrothorn's Spikes to stay up. Ferrothorn can be setup fodder for Pokemon like Gholdengo and Annihilape, so teammates with Unaware like Clodsire and Skeledirge can help alleviate that problem.

  • Ferrothorn acts as a defensive entry hazard setter that fits on Bulky Offense and Balance teams that helps out it's team by checking Pokemon such as Tapu Koko, Mega Swampert, and Tapu Lele. Spikes is generally preferred over Stealth Rock due to Stealth Rock's much greater distribution, however it's a viable option for some teams. i think rocks ferro personally sucks tbh, it doesnt really make notable progress when the same mon comes in to threaten it. instead it just clicks knock once or clicks leech or something, but the mon coming in can usually get around whatever its throwing at it
  • Power Whip allows Ferrothorn to KO Mega Swampert while also pressuring Great Tusk, generalize to say bulky waters/grounds instead while Iron Head and Gyro Ball are able to KO Iron Valiant, Tapu Lele, and Weavile while being able to pressure Mega Mawile. mmaw is a bit mid rn + same as above, generalize to say fairies but give gyro ball its own mention in that it further damages torn Knock Off has great utility being able to remove Leftovers or Heavy Duty Boots from switch-ins like Volcarona, Heatran, Zapdos, and opposing Ferrothorn. period
  • Tera Water can be used to check pokemon such as Heatran, Volcarona, and Urshifu-R better, i would use other examples not named tran/volc, both of them dont care about ferro either way. urshifu is fine. however due to it's excellent defensive typing Ferrothorn is generally a suboptimal choice to terastallize, only having use during emergencies.
  • Ferrothorn runs maximum HP and Special Defense EVs to better handle Tapu Lele, Tornadus-Therian, offensive Rain Zapdos. max max, we dont explain those
  • Ferrothorn's Spikes and ability to check Water and Electric types like Mega Swampert, Floatzel, and Tapu Koko benefits offensive teams by making Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and Iron Valiant harder to deal with. Ferrothorn also fits amazingly on Rain teams since it can set up entry hazards for them while appreciating Rain halving its Fire Weakness. correlation here is quite vague, you mention checking waters and electrics but dont mention mons that appreciate that. add in teammates that like ferro pivoting into koko barra floatzel etc. spikes mention should also be its own line as well, since theres no need to mention it in a sentence about teammates if you dont elaborate on how the breakers benefit from spikes themselves. Ferrothorn also takes advantage of a lot of common defensive Pokemon in the tier such as Gastrodon and Rotom Wash and can use them as an opportunity to set up Spikes and drain their heath with Leech Seed. Iron Barbs as well as potential Rocky Helmet can punish U-Turn, providing massive chip damage. create a separate line on leech seed and another line on rocky helmet, keeping it here just bogs up the paragraph
  • add in a line for twave
  • Ferrothorn struggles with Fire and Fighting types like Heatran Mega Lopunny and Zamazenta-Hero, meaning Ferrothorn pairs well with bulky water types like Toxapex, Gastrodon, and Pelipper. the waters here dont actually check lop/zama so i would go for teammates like Gholdengo also works as a good teammate due to Good As Gold blocking hazard removal and its immunity to fighting. Ferrothorn can also set up on by things such as Nasty Plot Recover Gholdengo and Dragon Dance Dragonite, dnite is honestly quite annoyed by knock + leech, would want another example imo so teammates with Unaware like Clodsire and Skeledirge or Dondozo can help alleviate that.

Spikes benefit breakers like Weavile and Tapu Koko by since many of their checks are grounded. add mlop as an example + mention the specific checks Leech Seed helps with Ferrothorn's longevity and is generally hard for a lot of teams to switch into due to the lack of viable grass types in OU besides opposing Ferrothorn. just say it helps it stay healthy vs x, x, and x pokemon Rocky Helmet can be used over leftovers to punish U-Turn harder however running it over leftovers hurts Ferrothorn's longevity. Ferrothorn struggles with Fire and Fighting types like Heatran Mega Lopunny and Zamazenta-Hero, meaning Ferrothorn pairs well with pokemon like Toxapex as well as Gholdengo, who's ghost typing and Good As Gold ability block hazard removal, allowing Ferrothorn's spikes to stay up.
