Gyro Ball is Ferrothorn's best STAB move, dealing significant damage to fast threats thanks to its low Speed. Leech Seed gives Ferrothorn extra recovery and wears down foes, allowing it to threaten bulky Pokemon it otherwise can't deal with, such as Toxapex. Stealth Rock supports its teammates by breaking Focus Sashes and dealing chip damage, allowing for them to clean up late-game. Curse allows Ferrothorn to deal with physical attackers better while also making it more threatening with boosted Gyro Balls. Bullet Seed lets Ferrothorn break through Focus Sashes and deal with Mimikyu's Disguise while also being more reliable than Power Whip at the cost of less consistent damage. Power Whip is a powerful STAB option that gives Ferrothorn a higher damage output that hits Water- and Ground-types harder than Gyro Ball. Protect is another option that allows Ferrothorn to stall for turns against Dynamaxed opponents, while also allowing it to take advantage of Leech Seed and Leftovers recovery. Leftovers gives Ferrothorn a consistent source of recovery, allowing it to stall out foes with Leech Seed. A Rocky Helmet can be used for more residual damage when combined with Iron Barbs at the cost of reliable recovery. The EV spread allows Ferrothorn to be as physically bulky as possible, but a specially defensive set with a Sassy nature can also be used to check special attackers.

Ferrothorn is a good Dynamax user thanks to the respectable damage done by Max Steelspike, especially after a Curse boost. Defensively, the extra HP and Defense boosts help Ferrothorn shrug off more hits, making it a major pain for certain teams to deal with. Ferrothorn pairs well with sweepers who appreciate chip damage from Leech Seed and Stealth Rock, such as Gyarados and Dragapult, with Gyarados also helping Ferrothorn deal with Fire- and Fighting-types that give it trouble. Defensively Ferrothorn pairs well with Fire- and Water-types to form a Fire / Water / Grass core which can cover each other's weaknesses. Overall, Ferrothorn's defensive typing allows it to fit in as a glue on many teams, as it does not require very much support besides a teammate to deal with Fire-types.

Only thing I'd add is a slash in of Curse with Stealth Rock, since Curse lets Ferrothorn deal with physical attackers a bit more safely, with less fear of Dynamax busting through it. Otherwise, QC Approved 1/2!

Personally I've found Curse to be the best move in that slot for Ferrothorn since it has a deceptively dangerous offensive presence this gen, especially with Dynamax and the lack of Hidden Power. Nothing wrong with Stealth Rock but I think it makes better use of Curse this gen compared to previous ones. I'd also make a note of how Ferrothorn is actually a great user of Dynamax both offensively and defensively, since it deals pretty respectable damage with Steelspike which also boosts its Defense further, which can make it a major pain for some teams to deal with.

I've had a lot of fun running Ferrothorn as a wall in Tyranitar/Excadrill sand teams. Leech Seed/Leftovers is already a pain, but the sand damage and Iron Barbs makes attacking into Ferrothorn a risky prospect.
 
It may be a bit redundant but is it possible to add that 0/no good IV in speed is best when running this set?
