Challenge (Finished) Pokemon Midele Emerald Nuzlocke

Remember that, in addition to the Battle Frontier and the Cibercafé gym leaders, you can also challenge the Random Battle NPCs.

In order to make the first rounds in the Battle Factory a little easier than the more advanced ones, the original AI makes only the most basic checks until one gets enough victories in a row. Shiyo kept it as is, thus the Sleep Talk Torterrrrrrrrra thing.

Chapter 82. Rhytmic Bubble Gym.

Back in Micolandia, I check the theme of the next Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

"Rhytmic bubble". Bubble is certainly Water, but its also made of air, so probably Flying is the second type of that Gym. Granted, in the previous Gym most trainers used all kind of Mons, but still Fire and Grass Mons were pretty common. So, my team needs to be well prepared against Water and Flying.

Of course, this means the Rain core has to go, though I don,t need another weather setter, since there is no Rain in the Gym. I will bring a weather setter, but only against the leader. Ingvar is weak to water and at the same time has just one STAB against Flying Mons. He abandons the team too therefore. Sir Ordek is not entirely useless vs water, but is weak to Flying and is also slow. So, I sub it with another Fight Mon, but a very fast one, Libre (Hawlucha). Gerania and Algosa come back to the team. Now, as an actual Flying resist, I use the worst one I have, Palote (Sudowoodo). It won,t last long, though.

Training time! And shiny catching time at route 123!

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Another bulky Ghost and bulky Grass in one slot. Though those IVs are not very bulky.

When the training ends, I finally enter the "Rhytmic Bubble" Gym. No wild Mons here this time, the Gym is a theatre of idols:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Supossedly I will have to dance to advance to the end of the Gym, where some issue is happening with the leader. The first challenge is not even a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Some Mons will enter the stage and perfom a choreography. I will need to pay attention to them and answer a question at the end. Lets see what will happen:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Yes, thats a Mew with some other early route Mons. The Mons perfom some dancing and the question is:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

"Who of them commited a mistake imitating others?" I choose Poochyena and miss, triggering a battle with a random Pokemaniac:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

He leads with a Glalie, who misses Blizzard vs Palote, getting killed by Rock Slide:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Seviper is next. It uses Giga Drain, triggering Sturdy and dying from EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Last is just a Feebas, probably the team is in fact a Random one. Gerania is the one who ends up killing the fish:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

The door to the next room opens when I win the battle. However, when I go there, the previous idol follows me, telling me that the previous challenge (which I actually failed) was too easy, and challenging me to a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

I don,t even know who Lt. Miku is, probably not even a Pxp Forum user and just an anime waifu. She leads with a Farfetch'd... and its Raining, unlike in the Random Battle. My lead this time unfortunately is Libre, so I need to switch out. Palote takes a very strong Brave Bird.

I then send Algosa fearing Superpower... and crit happens:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

RIP Algosa.
Farfetch'd is really broken in this game, and when it crits few things are safe.

I send Kit, getting a very strong Brave Bird too, but no crit. Farfy dies from recoil:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Ludicolo is next. I would like to have Algosa here. Since I don,t, Eeveeto is the next best thing, taking Giga Drain.
Eeveeto protects from Teeter Dance.
Eeveeto gets seeded and uses Toxic.
I missclick twice and stay with Eeveeto, getting confused and using Toxic again.

I send Gerania to take Giga Drain.

Eeveeto gets back to be confused again.

I send Gerania at the same time as Lt. Miku switches Ludicolo out and sends Sirfetch'd. Dangerous situation.

I send Palote to take Brave Bird. Sirfetch'd reveals Leftovers as item.

I switch Libre in, getting a Brick Break.
Libre puts Sub, getting it broken by Brave Bird.
Libre puts another Sub, also broken.
Libre puts one last Sub, broken again by Brave Bird.
Libre has no other option but to use Fly.
But Sirfetch'd lives:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

RIP Libre. Damn, this battle is already a disaster and I need to kill 3 more Mons.

I send Gerania. Leftovers reveal that Gerania is actually faster that the duck, so a Giga Drain ends with it:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Ludicolo comes back. I send Eeveeto, getting him confused.

I switch back to Gerania, into Leech Seed.

Eeveeto gets into Teeter Dance.

While I send Gerania again, Lt Miku switches Politoed in.
Politoed uses Mind Reader and gets seeded.

I switch Kit in, Politoed uses Perish Song.

Gerania gets in again, avoiding Hypnosis.
Politoed hits Hypnosis.

I send Eeveeto as Ludicolo comes back.
Eeveeto protects.

Gerania comes into Teeter Dance.

Eeveeto comes into Giga Drain.

Lt. Miku withdraws Politoed and sends Ludicolo again as Eeveeto protects.
Politoed uses Perish Song and gets a Toxic.

I send Gerania while Politoed uses Mind Reader.

I send Kit while Politoed uses Perish Song again.

Eeveeto comes in again while Ludicolo appears.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto gets confused by Teeter Dance and damages himself.

Gerania gets into Leech Seed. Time to finish this nonsense.
And then... Ludicolo uses Rest. Ok, this battle will now take A LOT of time.
...

A million of turns switching Gerania, Kit and Eeveeto later, Lt. Miku finally sends Politoed again. It sleeps Gerania with Hypnosis.
Politoed uses Mind Reader. Gerania wakes up and uses Giga Drain.

I send Kit while Politoed uses Perish Song and finally dies from the poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Only Ludicolo remains, and he only has PPs in Rest. Switching time!
...
Many turns later, Ludicolo finally uses Struggle. Eeveeto ends up killing it with Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

This battle was very long and very painful. And that was only vs 4 Mons. This Gym looks real danger, especially with permanent Rain. Finishing the chapter here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Chapter 83. A dance with dragons.

Before continuing batting at the second Gym of Micolandia, I will challenge one trainer at Cibercafé. I put Gerania to the PC and take Peli, Outlaw and Cloudy (Swablu), training the last one.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

While training, another Shiny appears at route 124:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Good IVs. The Mon is terrible for Nuzlocke, but at least it can fight back.
Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

After finishing the training, I go to Battle Factory. First round goes easy with a Sash Ambipom, Band Mence and an Alakazam.
I use Screens Espeon + 2 sweeps on round 2, but that doesn,t work against Brick Break Bisharp + Band Aerodacyl, so I lose.

At Battle Dome, despite having the Rain core, I take a defensive aproach of using Cloudy, Kit and Eeveeto. At third tournament a Kingdra freezes Cloudy (Kit died vs a Dragalge), so defensive aproach didn,t work this time.

Battle Tower becomes tragic when I lose the second battle vs my own aprentice, who Fisured my team to death with Whiscash.

In Battle Palace I use Peli, Cloudy and Outlaw. Again, I lose at second battle, because my Mons were pacific and didn,t want to attack.

At Battle Pike I use the same team as in Battle Palace. Round 1 goes smoothly.
In round 2, Peli dies in a Double Battle at the beginning. In the next room however, Cloudy defeats a tough trainer and I get healed. No more battles happen in this round.
3 bugs finally stop me in round 3. Ninjask uses Baton Pass into Vikavolt, who kills Peli. After Cloudy kills Vikavolt, Frosmoth destroys her. Outlaw should have won this battle, but misses Rock Slide, allowing Ninjask to finish him after Frosmoth died.

In Battle Arena I use Palote + the Rain core. Its not the first time I get used my own Rain against me by a Castform, so I don,t get to Greta again.

After another disappointing Battle Frontier try, I go to Cibercafe to challenge a powerful trainer there:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Lance leads with a Red Gyarados. It uses Dragon Dance and gets hit by Shock Wave from Peli.
Gyarados uses Bounce. Peli survives with Focus Sash and kills it with Shock Wave:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Dragonite is next. I send Cloudy, who gets paralyzed by Thunderbolt.

I send Eeveeto next while Dragonite uses Barrier.
Eeveeto protects. Dragonite uses Barrier again.
Dragonite uses Dragon Claw and gets hit by Toxic.
Eeveeto protects from the next Dragon Claw.

Cloudy gets into the next Dragon Claw.
Dragonite uses Flamethrower. Cloudy heals with Rest and uses Chesto Berry to wake up.

Now that I know that Dragonite doesn,t have Toxic, I send Eeveeto again. Right in time to face an Aerodactyl that Lance switched in.
Aerodactyl uses Rock Slide and gets poisoned.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Rock Slide and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals to full.

Lance switches Aerodactyl out and sends Kingdra. Eeveeto uses Wish meanwhile.

I missclick and send Kit instead of Cloudy. Kingdra uses Dragon Dance.
Kingdra uses Dragon Dance again and gets hit by Ice Beam.
Kingdra boosts again ad gets hit by another Ice Beam.
Kingdra uses Outrage, getting another Ice Beam.

Cloudy eats the next Outrage.
Kingdra surprises Cloudy with Iron Head, but even with just only HP investment (not Defense), Cloudy survives and kills Kingdra with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Next is another Dragonite. I have a feeling this one is going to be physical. So I send Outlaw right into Extreme Speed, which is crit.
Dragonite survives Rock Slide and uses Earthquake, bringing Outlaw to the red:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Eeveeto takes the obvious Extreme Speed, but its crit again.
Dragonite uses Earthquake, Eeveeto uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects from the next Earthquake.
Dragonite continues attacking, Eeveeto uses Wish.
Dragonite uses another Earthquake and gets to red by Crunch.
After one final Earthquake, Eeveeto kills Nite with Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Charizard is the last unrevealed Mon of Lance. It uses Fire Blast and despite the rain damages Eeveeto hard, so maybe its Specs. It can,t avoid the Toxic though.
Eeveeto protects from another Fire Blast.
Charizard misses Fire Blast, so Eeveeto uses Wish freely. The battle has been won this turn, no amount of hax can save Lance now.
Eeveeto protects.

Lance switches his other Dragonite in while Eeveeto uses Wish.
Dragonite uses Dragon Claw and gets damaged by Crunch. Eeveeto heals.
Eeveeto protects.
Dragonite uses Dragon Claw, Eeveeto uses Wish.

Lance switches Charizard in, getting it in red by Crunch.
Eeveeto protects and Charizard dies from poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Aerodactyl comes back and uses Rock Slide. Eeveeto damages it with Crunch.
Eeveeto protects and Aerodactyl dies from poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

The remaining Dragonite uses one last Dragon Claw and gets Crunched to death:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Overall, not a very hard battle but 3 of my Mons survived in red, so it could have been worse. Losing either Cloudy or Peli would have been pretty bad. Finishing the chapter here, in the next one I will go back to Rhytmic Bubble Gym after training some new Mons for it.

Chapter 84. Surviving the rain.

I don,t need the Rain core in an already raining Gym, so I put Peli and Outlaw in the PC. I take Gerania and add Puerroman ( Kanto Farfetch'd), who I need to train.

After the training, I go back to Rhytmic Bubble Gym , where I again need to pay attention to the dancing Mons:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

After the dance, the girl switched the 3 PCs on. Each time she switched a PC on, one of the Mons cried. The Mons left and the girl asked me which Mon didn,t cry. With only 4 Mons and 3 PCs you would think this question would be easy, but somehow I missed and answered Zigzagoon instead of Poochyena, which triggered a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

The Pokemanic leads with Tyranitar. Palote uses Earthquake and is paralyzed by Thunder Wave.
Both Pokemon use Earthquake and end up very damaged.

I switch Gerania into the next EQ.
Gerania kills Tyranitar and I forget to take a pic of it.

Lucario is next. It uses Nasty Plot but gets critted by EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Swinub is last. It survives a Giga Drain with Focus Sash and uses Icy Wind.
Swinub could have killed Gerania if he used the previous turn the move he used now, Endeavor. Gerania ends the battle with another Giga Drain:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

I definetely need to pay more attention in order to not trigger Random Battles, one of these Pokemaniacs could very well bring a Rayquaza.

I try to advance in the Gym, but of course, I can,t avoid the actual battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Meiko leads with a Lanturn and once again, there is rain in the battle. I send Gerania to take the Surf.
Gerania uses Giga Drain and gets paralyzed by Thunder Wave.
Lanturn uses Confuse Ray, but Gerania can,t attack this turn.

I send Cloudy, who has Cloud Nine, so the Surf is very weak.
Lanturn uses Thunder Wave and gets hit by Earthquake.
Lanturn uses Confuse Ray, like Gerania, Cloudy just doesn,t move.

I send Gerania again into Thunder.
Gerania uses Giga Drain, but Lanturn still lives and paralyzes her again.
Lanturn uses Confuse Ray and Gerania hits herself.

I send Cloudy to take the weak Surf.
Lanturn uses Confuse Ray and Cloudy damages herself.

I send Gerania into Thunder again.
Tired of being haxed, I use Leech Seed, Gerania gets paralyzed.

Cloudy comes into Confuse Ray and recovers some health back.

I switch back to Gerania, taking a Thunder.

Cloudy comes into Thunder Wave.
Lanturn uses Confuse Ray, but Cloudy manages to attack and kills it with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Oh, shit, a Luvdisc is next. I send Kit... and Luvdisc uses Safeguard, anticipating my Toxic.
Luvdisc uses Sweet Kiss, Kit damages himself.
Luvdisc uses a powerful Surf. Kit heals the confusion and uses Surf too, getting a crit, which still takes less than half of Luvdisc's HP.
Luvdisc uses Sweet Kiss. Kit goes to sleep.

Looks like I will have to risk Gerania to kill that thing. Surf takes a lot of her life.
Gerania somehow survives Ice Beam and uses Leech Seed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Kit comes in, taking another powerful Surf.
Luvdisc uses Sweet Kiss. Kit uses Sleep Talk and lands a Toxic on the broken heart.

I switch to Cloudy. Turns out, there wasn,t need of it, Luvdisc uses Safeguard and dies from Toxic:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Wigglytuff is next. I send Kit while it uses Wish.
Kit uses Sleep Talk but triggers Rest. Wiggly uses Hyper Voice.
Kit uses Surf this time, taking more than half of Wigglytuff's health. The fairy uses Wish.
Kit wakes up and kills Wiglytuff with a crit Surf:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Jynx is the last Pokemon of Meiko. It uses Nasty Plot and gets a Toxic.

I send Eeveeto, immune to Psychic.
Eeveeto protects from Ice Beam.
Eeveeto gets very damaged by Ice Beam and uses Crunch, dropping Jynx's Sdef.
Eeveeto protects.

Expecting Jynx to die, I send Palote, who survives with Sturdy. However, Jynx lives too due to Leftovers + Dry Skin.

I risk hit and fortunately Jynx uses Ice Beam, after which the battle ends:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Dangerous battle and only vs 4 Mons. I wish I could bring some weather to counter the Rain, but I want to preserve my weather setter for the Gym leader. This is how the team survived:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Time to go to the next room. Fortunately the trainer here is asleep:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

However, I still have to get tested by a Zigzagoon:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Kirlia, Poochyena and Mew appear and dance for some time. After they leave, Zigzagoon asks me something in his language:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Idk what he even is asking me, but try to answer "Mew". Turns out, its wrong:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Kingdra is the lead. I send Kit, who takes a very powerful Surf, probably Specs.
Kit takes another Surf and uses Toxic.
Kingdra continues using Surf, Kit heals with Rest.

The Pokemaniac withdraws Kingdra and sends Rowlet, who gets a Toxic triggered by Sleep Talk.

I send Eeveeto, who gets confused by Confuse Ray.
Eeveeto damages himself and takes a Brave Bird.
Eeveeto uses Wish and takes another Brave Bird.

The Pokemanic withdraws Rowlet and sends his last Mon, a Mightyena. Eeveeto damages himself.
Mightyena uses Taunt, preventind Toxic.

I send Gerania while Mightyena protects.
Mightyena protects from Leech Seed.
Gerania uses Leech Seed and gets Taunted.
Gerania uses Giga Drain, Mightyena attacks with Crunch.

I send Puerroman, but he gets poisoned by Poison Fang.
Puerroman kills Mightyena with Return:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Kingdra comes back, so I send Kit, who gets a Surf.
Kingdra uses Surf again, Kit triggers Rest with Sleep Talk.

Fearing a crit, I send Gerania, who takes another Surf.

The Pokemaniac switches to Rowlet while Gerania heals with Synthesis.

I send Eeveeto into Brave Bird, Rowlet dies from poison.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Now, the mission is not to get crit. Eeveeto protects from Hydro Pump.

Gerania takes a Hydro Pump.

Cloudy takes the last one and the battle finishes:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

The Zigzagoon goes away after the battle. Fun fact: there is hidden black room in this Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Obviously, this is a glitch and serves no purpose.

Just as expected, the sleeping trainer wakes up right before I go to the next room:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

Dangerous Roserade is the lead this time. Given it probably has Spikes, I won,t be able to preserve Sturdy anyway, so I stay with Palote, take Weather Ball and use Rock Slide.

I switch Cloudy in, taking Magical Leaf.
Roserade tries to use Sweet Kiss but misses, dying from Flamethrower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Milotic is next. I send Kit into Ice Beam.
Predicting Toxic, Milotic uses Safeguard.
Milotic uses Surf and so does Kit.
Time to Stall with Pressure, after taking another Surf, Kit uses Rest.
Kit takes 3 other Surfs and uses Rest.
Predicting my Sleep Talk use (I didn,t use it before), Milotic uses another Safeguard. Kit triggers Surf though.
Kit takes 2 other Surfs, last of which is crit:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Kit manages to use Rest.
After taking 3 more Surfs, Kit uses Rest again.
Milotic uses Safeguard, Kit tries to use Sleep Talk and triggers Surf again.
Kit succesfully Stalls last 2 Surfs and uses Rest.
Milotic starts to use Ice Beam. When Kit wakes up, he uses Toxic, but Milotic prevents it with Safeguard.
Kit takes another Ice Beam and uses Rest.
Kit takes 3 more Ice Beams and uses Rest again.
Milotic uses Safeguard and last Ice Beam.

Then Luka switches Milotic out and sends Lapras, which is bad news. Lapras doesn,t have Water Absorb, since it was damages by Surf.

I send Eeveeto into Thunder.
Eeveeto protects from Megahorn.
Eeveeto uses Wish and avoids Megahorn.
Eeveeto uses Toxic and almost dies from crit Megahorn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Fortunately, he heals at the end of the turn. In the next one, Eeveeto protects.

I send Kit back to take Megahorn.

Gerania switches in and takes Thunder. Lapras eats a Sitrus Berry.

Luka switches Lapras out and sends a Mega Altaria into Giga Drain.
Altaria uses Feather Dance and gets seeded.
Altaria uses Moonblast and drops Gerania's Special Attack too, so Giga Drain does pathetic damage.
Altaria uses another Moonblast, Gerania heals with Synthesis, taking advantage of that Cloud Nine.
Altaria uses another Moonblast, taking EQ back.
Altaria uses Moonblast, Gerania heals.
Altaria uses Moonblast, Gerania EQ.
Altaria uses Moonblast, Gerania heals.
Altaria uses Moonblast, Gerania EQ.
Gerania heals twice in a row, Altaria finally dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

The now useless Milotic comes back and uses Safeguard, getting seeded.

I switch Puerroman in. At the same time, Luka switches Lapras in.
Puerroman kills Lapras with Superpower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

Puerroman uses Sword Dance twice and OHKOs Milotic with a crit Return:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_31.png

Well, I am getting used to this rain, but this Gym is still very dangerous, especially if the trainers start using more than 4 Mons. Finishing the chapter here with state of the team:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_32.png

Chapter 85. The fake Totem.

Before the next room, there is a PC with some information about the "Basement monster". Its something very powerful but after some research, its Statistics had been revealed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_33.png

Fight type. Maximum HP, which means its 255. Very high attack, high defense, high special attack, medium special defense, very low Speed and Strong Jaw as ability. It also knows some moves of Micolo (hopefully not Midele Power). Well, it will be a dangerous battle for sure. Meanwhile, in the next room a girl speaks with me:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_34.png

She tells me that the three previous trainers did a tryout to see if I was worth to face the monster that hides at the end of the Gym and causes triubles.
She also testes me herself. Once again, Zigzagoon, Mew, Kirlia and Poochyena appear and just jump away to the dark, instead of dancing. At the end I need to answer which Mon threw himself to the void more often. This time I manage to answer correctly, it was Kirlia.

This way, I avoid the Random Battle, but not the one against this trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_35.png

Miku leads with a Delcatty. I switch Eeveeto in while it uses Calm Mind.
Delcatty uses Calm Mind again and gets a Toxic.
Thunder damages Eeveeto heavily before he uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals to full.
Eeveeto takes another Thunder and uses Wish.

Miku withdraws Delcatty and sends Mr. Rime while Eeveeto protects.
Mr. RIme uses Teeter Dance, but Eeveeto manages to land a Toxic.

I switch Kit in, getting hit by 3 Icicle Spears.
Mr. Rime confuses Kit, who damages himself.

Eeveeto comes back into Psychic.
Miku withdraws Mr. Rime and sends... a Gardevoir. Fuck, where are my Fairy resists?
Gardevoir encores Eeveeto into protect.

I switch Gerania in, taking a Moonblast.
Gardevoir uses Future Sight and gets seeded.

I switch Eeveeto back. He takes no damage, since Gardevoir used Encore.
Eeveeto protects from Moonblast. Due to Adv mechanics, he still takes damage from Future Sight.

I switch Gerania into Encore.

I make a risky move and switch Puerroman. Gardevoir uses Future Sight.
Puerroman kills Gardevoir with Return:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_36.png

Delcaty comes back. I send Eeveeto, who takes Thunder and then survives Future Sight with 15 HP.
Eeveeto protects from Water Pulse.

I switch to Palote, who lives Thunder. Delcatty dies to poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_37.png

Now I need to survive vs Mr. Rime. I send Kit, who takes Psychic, but its a lot of damage.

Knowing the AI, sending Eeveeto was a risky move, but it worked this time, Mr. Rime used Psychic.
Eeveeto protects from Icicle Spear.

I send Kit again on the last turn of the battle. He takes 2 Icicle Spears, then Mr. Rime dies from poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_38.png

Hard battle despite 3 Mons, but no casualties. Miku goes away, telling me that there is one more challenge I need to overcome before getting to leader Sapphire. That challenge is not the mentioned monster, but a Totem.

After changing some movesets on my team, I challenge the Totem:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_39.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_40.png

Oh, shit. Not him. I will probably need to sack 2 Mons at least to beat this monster. Dark Pika uses Confuse Ray, Eeveeto manages to attack and uses Mud Slap.

I send Cloudy. Dark Pika misses Thunder on her due to Cloud Nine.
Dark Pika misses Confuse Ray and gets hit by Moonblast.
Dark Pika misses another Confuse Ray and gets hit by Moonblast again.
Dark Pika misses another Confuse Ray and barely survives Moonblast.
Dark Pika finally hits Confuse Ray, but Cloudy attacks and kills it:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_41.png

I expected some water Mon that abused Rain, so my strategy relied on using Mud Slap or Flash with many Mons and then outstall with Kit, who for this battle learned Protect + Substitute. Dark Pika took me off-guard but Mud Slap + Cloudy still haxed him. Haxed so hard, he couldn,t take a single HP out of my team. Finishing the chapter here, in the next one I will either challenge Sapphire or face a monster.

Chapter 86. Icy moth.

I don,t know whether I need to fight Sapphire or the monster first and Shiyo doesn,t give me any clue. I go ahead and scout:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

This doesn,t look to be a monster, so I am going to assume she is Sapphire. I need to prepare a team for her. The underlings had 3 or 4 Mons, she wil have a full team of 6 in Rain. So, I need to bring another weather setter. Both Sun ones are dead and the sand one ( a Sandaconda) requires being hit to trigger the weather. That leaves Zorrona (Alolan Vulpix) as the only option. I also train Gynaephora (Snom), since I take Puerroman and Palote out of the team, without Leftovers both of these Mons are bad in Hail.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

While I train the team, I find a Shiny:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Not the worst IVs. In this game it's not outclassed, since Excadrill has Sand Force as the only ability (otherwise it would be broken), Sandslash has Sand Rush.

After the training, I go to challenge Sapphire:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Yes, Dark Pika is terrorifically beautiful. Anyway, Sapphire doesn,t specifically mention the monster but implies that I will have to defeat him to get her badge. But first, I need to defeat Sapphire:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Sapphire leads with Alolan Raichu. It uses Psychic and gets very damaged by Gerania's Earthquake.
Raichu uses another Psychic and falls to Giga Drain:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Kingdra is next. I send Kit to face it...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Well shit.
Kingdra uses Hydro Pump. Kit is still frozen.

Cloudy takes the next Hydro.

Zorrona switches in, taking a crit Ice Beam and chaning the weather to Hail.
Specs Moonblast kills Kingdra:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

A dangerous Primarina appears. I switch Gynaephora in a Surf.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance and takes Moonblast.
Gynaephora uses Giga Drain and recovers almost all her health.
Next Giga Drain kills Primarina:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Sylveon is next. Surely it has Hidden Power Fire but I don,t have any switch-in anyway, so I stay.
Gynaephora uses Ice Beam and Sylveon brings back the Rain with Rain Dance, eating a Sitrus Berry at the end of the turn.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance again, taking Weather Ball.
Gynaephora kills Sylveon with Ice Beam:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Next is another Fairy, a Clefable. Ice Beam leaves it in red, Gynaephora takes a Moonblast and has the Special Attack dropped.
Gynaephora kills Clefable with Giga Drain:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Lanturn is the last Mon. The rain stops. Gynaephora uses Giga Drain, Lanturn tries to survive using Confuse Ray.
Gynaephora manages to attack and ends the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Easy battle. Despite receiving a freeze and a crit, Sapphire didn,t bring any physicial Mon, so Gynaephora kinda went in. However, Sapphire despite being impressed, doesn,t give me the badge:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Sapphire tells me that she had a laborary behind the Gym, where a cientific named Phent worked, following the orders of Micolo. One day an Earthquake happened and the laboratory got destroyed. Sapphire came to investigate there and a monster attacked her. She managed to escape, but dropped the badges.

So, in the next chapter I will go to get the badges, and to do so, will need to defeat a terrifying monster. Team (which I will change now) after the battle vs Sapphire:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Chapter 87. Titanic struggle.

In order to face the monster, I put Eeveeto and Gynaephora to the PC. I take Palote (Sudowoodo) and Ingvar (Runerigus) in their place. I change some movesets and go back to the Gym.

Behind Sapphire a new door has opened:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Behind there is a tunnel with some lava:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

The tunnel continues into a deeper cave:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

At the end of the cave, there is the monster:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

That doesn,t look very scary... My plan B is to outstall that thing with Flash, Pressure and Sub + Protect strategies. The plan A is Palote as the lead.
Titan uses Ice Beam... and Palote tries to use Counter, failing miserably. Well, there goes the plan A.
Palote explodes:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

RIP Palote. At least the damage was respectable, especially since that thing doesn,t have Leftovers, a fact I discover after I send Kit.
Kit Protects from Seismic Punch, which has 16 PPs.
Despite the description of Titan saying its very slow, it outspeeds Kit. However, it uses Ice Beam, so Kit manages to put a Sub.
Kit protects from Seismic Punch.
Titan breaks the Sub with Seismic Punch but Kit puts another one.
Kit protects. Titan boosts with Curse. Now it surely must be slower than Kit.
Kit damages Titan with Surf. The Substitute survives Ice Beam.
Kit protects while Titan uses Curse again.
Kit uses Surf. Sub breaks with Crunch, which is the last move of Titan.
Kit protects from Seismic Punch. 8 PPs left of that move. Given that Kit has Pressure, they are 4 in reality.
Kit puts Sub, broken by Seismic Punch. 3 PPs left.
Kit protects. Titan uses Curse.
Kit uses Sub, broken by Crunch.
Kit protects from Ice Beam.
Kit uses Sub, broken by Crunch.
Kit protects from Ice Beam.
Kit puts Sub, which survives Ice Beam.
Kit protects, Titan uses Curse.
Kit uses Surf, the sub gets broken by Crunch.
Kit protects from Crunch.
Kit puts Sub, broken by Crunch.
Kit protects while Titan uses Curse.
Kit puts Sub, broken by Crunch.
Kit protects from Crunch.

Titan has not used Seismic Punch in a long time and Kit is in red already. Maybe he doesn,t have Max PPs and just 10 instead of 16? Assuming this theory, I switch Zorrona in...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

RIP Zorrona. Not only Titan didn,t have Max PPs, he just finished those PPs while I only counted the Seismic Punch ones, killing Zorrona with Struggle. Big mistake. And if Cloudy doesn,t OHKO, I will lose her too.

However, Cloudy does OHKO from that health:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

I get the badge:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

But the price was a big one, another weather setter gone, as well as Palote (who being a Sudowoodo, was not very important). The monster dissapears, this is my team after the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Sapphire thanks me for killing the monster but doesn,t give any additional reward. So, I finish the chapter here.

Chapter 88. The board game.

Before changing the team members, I visit the 3rd Gym of Micolandia to see the theme:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

"Invernal cold". Well, not surprising, since I already faced Gooses in this game. Time to put warm clothes... and to change the team a lot, since 3 of my 4 current Mons are weak to Ice. So, Gerania, Ingvar and Cloudy all go to the PC. I put Peli, Outlaw, Eeveeto, Iron Lady and Sir Ordek. The last 2 need a little bit of training.

After the short training, I go for symbol hunting. At round 1 of Battle Factory I trade a lot, ending up with a pretty offensive team of Ambipom, Whiscash and Alakazam, who easily win.
In round 2 however, I don,t switch at all. Shedinja, Whiscash and Band Swalot cheese through this round without problems.
In round 3 the starting picks were terrible. I choose Dusknoir, Altaria and Blastoise, but a SD Lickilicky destroys all of them in the first battle.

At Battle Dome I use Sir Ordek, Peli and Outlaw, losing to a Metang + Raticate Alola in the second tournament, as dumb as it sounds.

The team does better at Battle Towerm, getting 15 wins before an Hypnosis + Dream Eater Yanmega and Big Mushroom Parasect stop the streak by sleeping my team and leeching the health back.

The result at Battle Palace is pathetic, just 3 wins. Vibrava, Ariados and Nidorino attack more often than my team and kill them it.

With such bad sinergy, going to Battle Pike serves no point. I however try my luck at Battle Arena with Sir Ordek, Iron Lady and Peli. The luck only lasts 6 battles, at 7th one first Mon is Galarian Ponyta, second is Hippowdon and third is a Castform with Thunderbolt, it was surely a counterteam.

So, the go to the "Invernal Cold" Gym, where I see the problem right away:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

There doesn,t look to be a way out of the Gym, so I need to survive. Those tiles are only one direction and not only that, I need to throw a dice at some of them, advancing the number of tiles the dice allows me to. Some tiles make me battle against Random trainers, others make my Mons statused and others require answering a question.

So, I enter the board. First dice is 2:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

I get into a battle tile:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

The lead is a Salamence. Fortunately for me is a defensive one that uses Wish, so Peli just murders it with Ice Beam... or not, Salamence lives.
Salamence protects and heals.
Salamence uses Toxic and survives another Ice Beam.

I don,t know if I will be healed after the battle or not, so I switch Outlaw into Protect.
Outlaw kills Salamence with Rock Slide:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Next is Noctowl. It survives Rock Slide and uses Moonblast.
The second Rock Slide kills:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Toxel is last. It survives Earthquake with Focus Sash and uses Endeavor.
After checking that Toxel doesn,t learn Quick Attack, Outlaw ends this battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

I throw the dice after the battle, get 1:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

I try to move away from the board, but that makes me advance another tile to a question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

"Is phent a multi-account of Kaderete?" I never knew these 2 dudes well, but enough to say that they are different people. Getting the right answer triggers the dice again, I get 1:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Next tile is a dice tile again, this time I get a 6:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

I get right into a battle tile:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Lead is Honchkrow this time and I discover that I haven,t been healed after the previous battle. This means that I must be extremely careful with the damage I get and also heal as soon as I get into a pink tile again. I switch Iron Lady in while Honchkrow protects.

Iron Lady activates Quick Claw and also gets a crit with Rock Slide:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Ampharos is next. Ok, where is my electric resist? At the PC of course, I expected a Gym with Ice trainers. So I switch Eeveeto in, avoiding Thunder Wave.
Ampharos uses my own Rain against me with Thunder, taking more than half of Eeveeto's health. It gets a Toxic in exchange. This doesn,t look good at all.
Eeveeto protects.

Sack time, I send Sir Ordek:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

RIP Sir Ordek. This gym might become a big tragedy.

The 1 HP Outlaw is my only option in the current situation. He does kill Ampharos with EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Last is Wobbuffet. Outlaw uses Sword Dance twice and kills Wobba with X Scissors:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

After the battle, I throw the dice:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Finally, a pink tile. I heal all my team. However, now I only have 5 Mons and next tile is a guaranted battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Now that Peli is not the lead, the lead is a Snover (which is actually good, I can switch Peli back when I want). Snover is faster than Iron Lady and uses Grasswhistle to sleep her.
Snover uses Blizzard.
Snover uses another Blizzard.
Iron Lady wakes up and uses Iron Head. However, Snover has Focus Sash and lands a 4th Blizzard, getting Iron Lady to red:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

I send Peli to change the weather, although she gets very damaged by Energy Ball.

The random trainer withdraws Snover and sends Goodra into Surf.

I switch Eeveeto into Thunderbolt.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto survives a crit Thunderbolt:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Eeveeto uses Wish and then Protect, healing.
Eeveeto takes another Thunderbolt and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals to full.

The random trainer switches Goodra out and sends Exeggutor, avoiding Toxic.
Eeveeto protects from Leech Seed.
Eeveeto uses Toxic and takes Leech Seed.

I send Outlaw into Toxic.
Outlaw kills Egg with X Scissors:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Goodra comes back. I send Eeveeto into Thunderbolt.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto survives another crit Thunderbolt, this time really close:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Eeveeto uses Wish and protect, healing.
Eeveeto takes another Thunderbolt and uses Wish again.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto gets paralyzed by Thunderbolt and uses Wish. Goodra is paralyzed by Syncronize, which is also bad for me.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Thunderbolt, but can,t move.
Eeveeto takes another Thunderbolt and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals.
Both Pokemon can,t move next turn.

The random trainer withdraws Goodra and sends Snover, activating Hail.. Eeveeto uses Wish.

The random trainer switches Snover out and sends Goodra again, who takes Crunch.
Goodra uses Outrage, massively damaging Eeveeto, who uses Wish:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

I switch Iron Lady in, getting some health back from Wish.
Iron Lady finishes the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

I am in a desperate situation if I don,t get to a pink tile again soon. For now, I get 2 in the next dice:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Well, as if things weren,t hard enough, I get status, in this case some poison. I then get 6:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Fuck yeah, pink tile. I heal my team and continue.

Then I get the chance to leave the Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

Despite needing to do all this way again, I take this chance, since now I will be able to bring backa much stronger team, this Gym will need it, its really scary.

Ending the chapter here, I will be back.

As Eeveeto seems to have forgotten to write it here: Eeveeto went back to the black room in the previous gym and found a Master Ball. Pretty convenient for a possible exploding, roaring or teleporting wild mon.

This gym is quite different from your usual gym. We'll soon find out its impact in a nuzlocke; whether it is too easy or too hard, I have no idea. Except for the leader, who will not be easy, of course.

Fun fact: if I counted correctly, as soon as you prepare a new team, your PC will have as many alive mons as fallen ones (52, so you should have 110 mons, 58 alive).
Now you have (not excluding your party) as many alive mons as fallen ones (57) for the first time since you got your starter.
EDIT: I missed a chapter with 3 new mons, so there were 60 alive mons. In Chapter 94 Eeveeto will start with 1 more alive mons than fallen ones and this will be flipped due to losing 1 mon in said chapter.

Chapter 89. A trainer from Sinnoh.

I need a really strong and balanced team to defeat the board game. So, I put Peli and Outlaw into the PC and take Gynaephora, Cloudy and Prisrak (Gastly), who I train.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

After training Prisrak, its Battle Factory time. Round 1 goes easily with Breloom, Clefable and Ampharos.
In round 2 I use 2 Electrics, Sash Electabuzz and Coul Eelektross. The third Mon changes a lot, ending up being Slaking. Most of the time the 2 Electrics were enough though.
In round 3 my Mons are Jolteon, Espeon and Slowbro. The Slowbro has no offensive Moves at all (Block, Amnesia, Slack Off and Recycle), so after it stalls a Kommo-o, Bulk Up Hariyama manages to kill both it and Espeon. Jolteon ends with Hariyama, but last Mon was a Mismagius with Perish Song. I miss a Thunder, so I tie the battle.

In Battle Arena I use Iron Lady, Gynaephora and Cloudy. What looked a promising start ended vs a Quiver Dance + Sleep Powder Venomoth in 4th tournament.

The team does better at Battle Tower, and I get 33 wins. Luvdisc + Tentacruel + Drapion end up defeating me.

Round 1 of Battle Pike had 5 battles in total. I was very close from losing in one of them, when Gynaephora without Sash was the only Mon remaining vs a Salandit. Fortunately, Salandit decided to use Taunt instead of going for the kill.
In round 2 a Mimimize + Coil Sandaconda destroys me.

At Battle Palace I get 11 wins, then as usually, all my Mons decide to not attack against a DD + Head Smash Onix.

At Battle Arena I swap Iron Lady for Prisrak, but this doesn,t help at all. At battle 7, Torkoal defeats Prisrak and then an Arbok kills both Cloudy and Gynaephora.

Next goal is testing the team at Cibercafé. Only 4 trainers remain there, the first of which is this one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Cheryl has 2 Battle Modes, the normal one and the farming one. The farming one works just to train Mons, its not a challenge. I battle in the Normal mode therefore.

Cheryl leads with a Miltank. Prisrak puts a Sub that is broken by Body Slam, helped by Scrappy.
Prisrak protects.

I switch Kit in... and he loses half of the life from Body Slam. That Miltank is Band, lol.

So, Iron Lady has to do it, taking a Body Slam.
Iron Lady takes a second Body Slam, but Miltank survives Brick Break too.
Miltank uses another Body Slam before finally dying:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Next is Meganium. I send Prisrak into Earthquake.
Prisrak puts a Sub, which lives Giga Drain.
Prisrak protects.
Prisrak uses Ice Punch, Sub gets broken by Giga Drain.
Prisrak puts another Sub.
Prisrak protects.
Prisrak uses Ice Punch, Sub gets broken by Giga Drain.

Cheryl withdraws Meganium and sends a Wailord while Prisrak puts Sub.
Prisrak protects from Water Spout.
Wailord breaks the Sub, revealing a Scarf. Prisrak leaves Wailord in red and also paralyzes it with Thunderbolt.

While Prisrak protects, Cheryl withdraws Wailord and sends a Regice.
Prisrak protects again.

Eeveeto switches it, taking a lot from Ice Beam.
Eeveeto protects and Regice uses Safeguard.
Eeveeto uses Wish and takes Ice Beam.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto uses Wish and takes another Ice Beam.
Eeveeto protects and heals. Safeguard ends.
Eeveeto uses Toxic before Regice puts another Safeguard.
Eeveeto protects from Thunder Wave.

I send Kit to take the Thunder Wave.

I send Eeveeto back to take Thunderbolt.
Eeveeto protects from Thunder Wave.

I fail to predict a switch out and use Wish, Eeveeto gets paralyzed.

I switch Kit in. At the same time, Cheryl switches out Regice and sends a Vespiquen. Kit heals from Wish.
Vespiquen uses Confuse Ray, Kit can,t attack.
Vespiquen uses X-Scissors, Kit damages himself.

I send Gengar into the next X-Scissors.
Gengar protects from X-Scissors.
I missclick and use Protect again, it works.
Prisrak puts Sub.
Prisrak protects.
Prisrak paralyzes Vespiquen with Thunderbolt, Sub breaks.
Prisrak puts another Sub, Vespiquen uses Recover.
Prisrak protects.
Prisrak uses Thunderbolt and takes X-Scissors.
Prisrak kills Vespiquen:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Cheryl sends her ace Blissey. Prisrak uses Ice Punch, Sub breaks from Flamethrower.

I send Kit into Ice Beam.
Blissey reveals Thunderbolt too, Kit manages to use Rest.

Eeveeto gets into the next Thunderbolt.
Eeveeto takes another Thunderbolt and uses Wish.
Eeveeto takes Flamethrower and uses Toxic.
Eeveeto takes Ice Beam and uses Wish.
Eeveeto takes another Ice Beam and uses Crunch.
Blissey still can,t break Eeveeto with Ice Beam. Eeveeto uses Wish.

Cheryl withdraws Blissey and sends Meganium, who gets the Sdef dropped by Crunch.

I send Prisrak into Giga Drain.
Gengar freezes Meganium with Ice Punch, but it gets defrosted the same turn and uses Giga Drain.
Prisrak kills Meganium:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Blissey comes back, revealing Serene Grace, since its still poisoned.
Prisrak puts Sub, which is broken by Ice Beam. The battle is won at this point, but it will still last some turns.
Prisrak protects from Thunderbolt.
Prisrak puts Sub while Blissey heals with Softboiled.
Prisrak protects from Ice Beam.
Prisrak uses Thunderbolt and so does Blissey, breaking the Sub. It dies from poison at the end of the turn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Prisrak sweeps the rest of the team:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Easy win without casualties. In the next chapter this team will challenge the Board again. This one is finished.

Chapter 90. Travelling across the board.

I stock a lot of Full Restores before challenging the dreaded board game again.

First dice throw is a 6:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

I get into a Status tile:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Poison status. Next throw is a 5:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Next one is a 4, I avoid the battles for now:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

However, I get another status:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Sleep this time. I throw the dice again and get a 4:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

This allows me to heal my Mons from the status. Gynaephora and Eeveeto were poisoned, Iron Lady got slept. I get to the same point than last time without a single battle.

In the second part of the Gym, I get a 6:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Right into a Toxic status:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

I then get a 2:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Then a 5, which means I will start a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Cloudy and Kit are the poisoned Mons, which is good for me, they are the ones that have Rest. My lead is Gynaephora, the random trainer sends a Smoochum.
Smoochum uses Psychic, Gynaephora boosts with Quiver Dance.
Gynaephora gets to +2, taking another Psychic.
Gynaephora gets to +3.
Gynaephora gets to +4.
Gynaephora gets to +5. This is enough I think.
Gynaephora uses Giga Drain and recovers all the health lost. Smoochum survives with Focus Sash.
If its free, I take it. Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance a 6th time.
Gynaephora kills Smoochum:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Lycanroc Night is next. Does it have Focus Sash? I decide to not discover it and send Kit into Iron Tail.

Kit uses Rest while the random trainer withdraws Lycanroc and sends Yanmega.
Yanmega uses Sword Dance, Kit triggers Rest with Sleep Talk.
Yanmega uses another Sword Dance. Kit triggers Toxic with Sleep Talk but misses.
Yanmega uses Endure and gets the Toxic.

I send Iron Lady and lose almost half of her life from +4 Signal Beam.
Iron Lady activates Quick Claw and kills Yanmega with Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

I still need to deal with Lycanroc, though I know its probably choiced. I send Kit, whose defense gets dropped by Iron Tail.
Lycanroc uses Iron Tail again and survives Surf.
Lycanroc continues using Iron Tail. Kit uses Rest.
Lycanroc crits with Iron Tail and gets a Toxic triggered by Sleep Talk in exchange.

Eeveeto switches into the next Iron Tail.
Eeveeto protects and the battle ends:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

If I didn,t fear a Focus Sash, I could have won this battle without taking damage. Right now, Iron Lady, Eeveeto and especially Kit are all damaged, hopefully I will be able to heal soon.

I get a 5:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

This does allow me to heal my team. I get into another check point that would allow me to get out of the Gym if I wanted. I however continue and throw a 1:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

A question tile. This is the question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

"Who was banned receiving a -100 Karma (similar to like score on Pxp Forums)?". I have no idea. I don,t know who Umbreon123 is in first place. I try answering Doble C, who if I remember well was a problematic user...and miss.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

FUUUCK. I am back to the beginning. All the progress was lost. Damn, I expected just a battle if I answered wrong. Well, time to start again.

I get a 2, right into a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_32.png

The random trainer leads with a scary Chandelure. I send Kit to take Flamethrower.

I send Cloudy into Taunt.
Chandelure uses Toxic and takes Earthquake.
Chandelure uses Flamethrower and dies from EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_33.png

Roserade is next. I send Iron Lady while it uses Spikes.
Roserade sleeps Iron Lady with Sleep Powder.
Roserade puts a second layer of Spikes and survives Iron Head.
Iron Lady activates Quick Claw and kills the flower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_34.png

Last is Chinchou. I send Gynaephora, who in fact I should have sent on the Roserade. She gets a Confuse Ray.
Gynaephora damages herself while Chinchou uses Dive.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance and gets hit by Dive.
Gynaephora snaps confusion but misses Giga Drain, Chinchou has Bright Powder. Chinchou uses Dive.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance again and gets hit by Dive.
Gynaephora kills the Chinchou, ending the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_35.png

After the battle, I get a 6, right into a question tile:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_36.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_37.png

"Who leaded the Bronyfication by a coup in Pxp?" Well, I have no idea what is this all about. I answer randomly Kill-R and get it right, also get a 4, avoiding dangerous tiles:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_38.png

And with a 6 I avoid more dangerous tiles and can heal:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_39.png

First part of the Gym cleared. I start the second part with another question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_40.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_41.png

"According to Ghaddar, are the main games of Final Fantasy RPGs?"Lets say no... and I got it right. However, I get a Status with a 2:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_42.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_43.png

Sleep. Fortunately I get a 5, skipping many dangerous tiles:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_44.png

Then a 4, getting another Status:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_45.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_46.png

More sleep. Now I need any number except 1.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_47.png

Second part of the Gym cleared. I can heal.

Third part starts with a question again, I get 4:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_48.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_49.png

Oh, fuck same question again. Lets try with Micolo this time...

And back to the beginning I go. Well, at least now I know the correct answer. Third try starts with another question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_50.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_51.png

"What does the"No person tile mean?" Options are "You can,t use avatar", "You can,t write" and "You can,t use neither avatar, nor a signature". Second option makes no sense, that is like being banned. Between the other 2, I choose the most restrictive and get it right... But then another question appears:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_52.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_53.png

Well, I now know the answer for this one. I get a 6 into another question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_54.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_55.png

"Which Mon can use the Dark Thunder move?". Well, only one of these exists, easy question. But I get a battle with 1:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_56.png

Cloudy murders lead Dratini:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_57.png

Floette is next, I send Iron Lady into Calm Mind.
Iron Lady takes Moonblast and kills Floette with Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_58.png

Last is a very dangerous Wooloo. I send Prisrak into Earthquake.
Prisrak uses Substitute while Wooloo boosts with Sword Dance.
Prisrak uses Thunderbolt, Wooloo boosts again.
Apparently Prisrak walls Wooloo, after another Thunderbolt Wooloo still tries to boost.
Prisrak ends the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_59.png

I throw the dice and get into a question tile:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_60.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_61.png

"Who called Maestro Arena bad/shit/weak (the last word has many meanings)?" Knowing Maestro Arena, he doesn,t usually call himself bad. Gooses looks like a nice user too, despite organizing this very evil Gym. I don,t know who Parri is, but by discard he should be the one (honestly, I am surprised Shiyo isn,t among the options). And Parri is it. First part of the Gym cleared, I can heal.

I get a 6 in the second part, meaning a Status is coming:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_62.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_63.png

Sleep. A 5 gets me across dangerous tiles:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_64.png

A 3 avoids the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_65.png

Another 3 clears the second part:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_66.png

Ok, can I now clear the third part too instead of falling in a question? Lets see it.

I get right into a question:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_67.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_68.png

"Who is the biggest Probopass fan?". I know this one, is Merúm. I then skip the next dangerous tiles with 4:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_69.png

Then I get another question with 3:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_70.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_71.png

Repeated and very easy question. But I then get a battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_72.png

The random trainer leads with Sobble, my lead is Kit. I send Gynaephora while Sobble uses Light Screen.
Sobble uses Reflect, Gynaephora boosts with Quiver Dance.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance again and takes a Surf.
Gynaephora gets to +3.
Gynaephora gets to +4, Light Screen ends.
Sobble lives Giga Drain with Focus Sash and puts Light Screen again.
...
Gynaephora gets to +6 and kills Sobble on the last turn of Light Screen:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_73.png

A Jynx appears and lives Hidden Power Fire with Focus Sash, sleeping Gynaephora with Lovely Kiss.
However, Jynx does pathetic damage so Gynaephora just kills it when she wakes up:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_74.png

Ledian is last, one Ice Beam ends the battle.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_75.png

After the battle, I get into another one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_76.png

Flareon is the lead this time. Kit uses Surf before Flareon sets the Sun.
Another Surf kills Flareon:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_77.png

Electabuzz is next. I send Cloudy while it uses Light Screen.

I then send Eeveeto into Ice Punch.
Eeveeto protects while Electabuzz uses Reflect.
Electabuzz uses Thunderbolt and gets the Toxic. However, it has a Lum Berry.
Eeveeto protects.
Electabuzz uses Light Screen and finally gets poisoned.
Eeveeto protects.
Electabuzz uses Thunderbolt, Eeveeto Wish.
Eeveeto protects.

Eeveeto uses Wish while the random trainer withdraws Electabuzz and sends Mega Abomasnow.
Eeveeto uses Toxic and gets Leech Seed in exchange.

I switch Gynaephora into the Blizzard.
Gynaephora uses Quiver Dance and gets seeded.
The battle is won in the next 2 turns:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_78.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_79.png

With a 4, I get to heal after the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_80.png

I don,t know if this was the last part of the Gym or not, but since this chapter is already extremely long, I finish it here.

Chapter 91. Dodging the Ice Bomb.

Turns out I indeed finished the board in the last chapter. In the next room I have a Totem, and also a guy who can bring me back to the entance to the Gym. However, this time there will be another guy there who can teleport me to the Totem room, I don,t need to go through the board again:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

So, I leave the Gym in order to prepare for the Totem.

After adjusting the movesets I go to face the Totem:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

It Hails in this battle and that thing has Ice Body for sure. Eeveeto protects from Blizzard.
Eeveeto loses half of the life from Blizzard and uses Mud Slap on the Mega Glalie.
Eeveeto protects.

I send Kit to take the next Blizzard. If Totems don,t have PPs Maximized, this was the last one.
Kit protects from Earthquake.
Kit takes Earthquake and uses Rest.
Kit takes 2 more Earthquakes and is too weak to take another one.
Kit protects from what I think its the last EQ.

I send Cloudy, who avoids Crunch.
The unrevealed Move of Mega Glalie is Water Pulse. Cloudy damages it with Flamethrower.
Cloudy takes Crunch and uses another Flamethrower.
Glalie manages to drop the Sdef of Cloudy with the next Crunch but gets down to red.
Glalie tries to confuse Cloudy with Water Pulse. A smart move but desperate and it doesn,t work. Cloudy ends the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Not a hard Totem, my PP Stall strats worked once again:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

The door to the last room of the Gym opens, so I can challenge Gooses now. I need to change the team though: I take Prisrak and Cloudy out and put Peli and Outlaw. However, I don,t have time today to fight vs Gooses, so I finish the chapter here.

Chapter 92. Fighting ice with ice.

After training Peli and Outlaw a little, I go back to challenge Gooses:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Gooses leads with a Froslass. Hail is nulified by Peli, but she gets to 1 HP and paralyzed by Froslass's Thunderbolt. Surf takes Froslass to red too.

I swith Outlaw in. He gets pretty damages by Thunderbolt too.
Outlaw KOs Froslass with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Broken Wintass is next. I send Kit, taking 2 Rock Blasts.
Kit is faster than Wintass and uses Toxic while the yeti boosts with Bulk Up.
Kit uses Surf, while Wintass boosts again.
Kit uses Surf again, living Mud Shot. However, Wintass survives the turn by eating a Sitrus Berry. Probably this means that Kit will die next turn.
Wintass uses Mach Punch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

RIP Kit.
Its not my last Pressure Mon, but still was a pretty powerful one.

I send Gynaephora to watch as Wintass dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Next is a Kommo, for which I don,t even have a counter. Still, Gynaephora survives Boomburst in red and uses Quiver Dance.

Gooses withdraws Kommo-o and sends Walrein into Ice Beam.
Walrein protects.
Sending Walrein actually was a big mistake, Ginaephora heals all damage done by Kommo-o with Giga Drain, Walrein tries to use Substitute but fails, since he is in red already.
Another Giga Drain kills Walrein:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Gooses tries to send Ninetales Alola, bringing the Hail this way. The fox survives Hidden Power fire, but Moonblast does almost no damage.
Gynaephora kills Ninetales with Giga Drain:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

The unrevealed Mon of Gooses is Articuno. Gynaephora uses Ice Beam while the bird boosts with Double Team.
Articuno protects.
Articuno tries to protect again and not only it fails, but Gynaephora connects Hidden Power Fire, killing the bird.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Kommo-o stands no chance either:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Gooses gives me the badge and also:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Only one Gym of Micoliga is left now. The one of Gooses was very long and gave me some problems, but at least I only got 2 casualties in the whole Gym. Ending the chapter here.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Chapter 93. :flag_ua:

Before remaking the team, I go to check Darkizard Gym to see the theme:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

"Good vibes and bad vibes". Ok, I can't get the type from this information. However, I still can,t challenge the Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

They are still building the Gym and suggest me to visit the Monocycle Road first. Monocycle Road is to the West of Micolandia.

Now, the team. On Monocycle Road I will need a balanced one with good defensive sinergy, so I take Peli, Outlaw and Gynaephora out. I put instead Gerania, Cloudy, Puerroman (Kanto Farfetch'd) and Paul (Octillery), who I need to train.

After the training, I go to Battle Factory. In round 1 I use a Rain core of Ludicolo + Kingdra, third Mon being Aerodactyl.
In round 2 I get a lot of bad Mons, so I also switch a lot, ending up with Weavile, Galarian Weezing and Arcanine. Last battle was almost lost to a Corviknight that avoided Fire Blast, but Weavile managed to use Counter on it.
Sub-Punch Mega Sableye is the MVP of Round 3. The other 2 Mons are Band Lycanroc and an Arcanine, who won the last battle of the round vs a Steel Specialist.
In round 4 I use a Growth Vaporeon, a SD Gliscor and a Sub-Salac Durant. I get to battle 7, when lead Mega Sharpedo instead of using Crunch, goes for the freeze with Ice Beam vs Vaporoen, getting it. Durant and Gliscor are slower than that Sharpedo, so I lose.

At Battle Arena I use my strongest hitters: Iron Lady, Cloudy and Puerroman. They don,t prove to be strong enough in tournament 4 where a Specs Kingdra + Band Flygon defeated me, Flygon barely living Return from Puerroman.

In Battle Tower I choke in the first battle by switching Puerroman instead of Cloudy turn 1, and lose vs Pikachu, Mime Jr. and Ditto.

Battle Palace is as lottery as always. I use Gerania here instead of Puerroman and get 22 wins, before Hawlucha + Nidoking outperform my Mons.

At Battle Pike I last 2 rounds. In the second one, a Stantler crits both Iron Lady and Gerania, leaving me open to lose vs a Metang.

At Battle Arena I use Iron Lady, Paul and Puerroman. For the first time, after many attemts, I get to fight Greta:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Greta leads with Heracross. It uses Endure and eats a Salac Berry after getting hit by Iron Head.
However, Iron Lady didn,t get him to 200 power Reversal, so she lives the attack and kills the Bug with Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Next is Umbreon. It lives Brick Break and confuses Iron Lady with Confuse Ray.
Umbreon uses Faint Attack and dies from the next Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Last is Shedinja. It kills Iron Lady with Shadow Ball:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Now I have a big problem. I forgot to put Flamethrower to Paul before this battle. So, he is walled by Shedinja. The bug confuses Paul and he attacks himself.
Shedinja uses X-Scissors and gets paralyzed by Thunder Wave. This is the only thing Paul can do to help Puerroman.
Paul gets KOd next turn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Ok, Puerroman has to do it. Shedinja doesn,t have Focus Sash, so it dies from Fly. Otherwise, this could have been a lost battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Finally, a symbol from Battle Arena, although getting the gold one will be very hard.

It won,t certainly be in this run. The battle right after Greta's one has a Jolteon in third slot. With Iron Lady damaged and the rest of my team weak to electric, I have no chance. If Adv mechanics stayed on Volt Absorb, Paul would have been able to paralyze Jolteon, but unfortunately, they got updated in this game.

Well, at least the trip to Battle Frontier was not pointless this time. Time to visit the Monocycle Road. I can catch a Mon there. Eevee, Ambipom (caught), Mega Pidgeot (caught), Dodrio, Rapidash and Yanmega appear at any time there. During the day, Fearow, Primeape, Stoutland (I have Herdier) and Linoone appear too. During the night, Noctowl (caught), Vigoroth (caught), Mightyena (caught), Galarian Linoone (I have Galarian Zigzagoon) and Honedge (caught) are present. Since the target is obviously Eevee, I go for the Night catch. I have no luck this time, however:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

The IVs I quite good, except where they are needed the most. Average normal type that will die fast but can do some big damage with Fake Out + Focus Sash + Counter.

The first battle of Motorcycle Road will be dangerous, its a double one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Oh, the ukrainian flag is challenging me! How anti-patriotic! Well, at least they have only 4 Mons. However, one of them is a scary level 95 Smeargle. The other is a Glaceon. My leads are Paul and Gerania, who I withdraw to send Iron Lady. Glaceon protects and Smeargle sleeps Iron Lady with Spore. Paul paralyzes Smeargle.
Smeargle uses Extreme Speed to Iron Lady and Glaceon hits her with Water Pulse. Paul misses Thunder Wave.
Smeargle hits Paul this time. Glaceon uses Icy Wind. It misses against Paul and crits Iron Lady. Paul paralyzes Glaceon.

I switch Eeveeto in the place of Iron Lady. Smeargle attacks Paul again while Glaceon gets paralyzed. Both get hit by Surf.
Eeveeto protects. Smeargle gets paralyzed. Paul kills both opponents:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Raichu and Leafeon come next. I switch Paul out, senind Cloudy. Raichu uses Petal Dance to Cloudy while Leafeon boosts with Growth. Eeveeto poisons Raichu.
Eeveeto protects. Raichu hits Cloudy again. Leafeon uses Growth and dies from Flamethrower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Raichu uses one last Petal Dance and the battle ends with a combination of Moonblast and Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

No casualties this time, but even vs just 4 Mons, Double Battles once again prove very dangerous in Nuzlockes:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 94. A long road for Monocycles.

I continue exploring the Monocycle Road, a very annoying place:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

The next trainer is this one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

He asks me what legendary dog is my favorite and tells that his one is Entei, since he likes GRASS types.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Mr. Zero leads with Sceptile, so I switch Paul out and send Cloudy while Sceptile uses Dragon Dance.
Sceptile uses Dragon Dance again and lives Flamethrower with Focus Sash.
I almost lose Cloudy, because Sceptile uses Iron Tail. However, he misses and dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Next is the actual Entei. The legendary dog uses Extreme Speed 3 times before being 3HKOd by Earthquake.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Easy battle despite almost getting a death here.

I find a Shell Bell close to Mr. Zero. Not that I need it.

The next trainer I find a crossroad is Mr. Censored:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

He still doesn,t believe in climate change. However, he now has another goal:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

He is recluting people to overthrow Smogon dictatorship, since he believes this forum is populated by very evil people, the Pokemon Bans are illogical and every single of them favours Stall. He is trying to get people play official 3vs3 formats of Gamefreak.

He still has 4 Mons, leading with Giga Buttergree, who uses Quiver Dance before being paralyzed.
Butterfree can,t move next turn and gets damaged by Ice Beam from Paul.
Butterfree uses Psychic and gets to red by Ice Beam.
Butterfree gets paralyzed again and is killed by Ice Beam:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Kingdra comes next. I swith Cloudy into Outrage.
Kingdra uses Rain Dance and dies from Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Mr. Censored sends Politoed, the Rain becomes permanent. I switch Eeveeto into a crit Ice Beam.
Eeveeto protects from Surf.
Eeveeto takes Surf and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals.
Politoed misses Hypnosis and Eeveeto doesn,t miss Toxic.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Surf and uses Wish.
I predict the switch out and use Toxic, but Politoed uses Surf again. Eeveeto gets to red but heals.

Mr. Censored finally switches Politoed out and sends Mega Altaria, who I manage to poison.
Eeveeto protects from Moonblast.

I switch Iron Lady into Moonblast.

Since Mega Altaria has Cloud Nine, I switch Puerroman into Flamethrower.
Puerroman uses Fly, avoiding another Flamethrower and kills Mega Altaria:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Politoed comes back only to die from Return. The battle is finished:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Even after losing, Mr. Censored is convinced about Smogonites losing their mind:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

He however did manage to damage my team quite a lot with just 4 Mons:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Right before the next trainer I find 4 Rare Candies. Then I challenge the trainer, who tells me that the best type is Poison and also that she is illiterate:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

As expected, Poisonmasta leads with Drapion. What is not so expected is that the Drapion uses Rain Dance, avoiding Thunder Wave.
Drapion uses Confuse Ray and Paul damages himself.
The Drapion crits with Sludge Bomb.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

RIP Paul. 3 turns full of hax were needed to take out this Mon, who turned out way better than expected ( won me the Arena Symbol, saved me in a Double Battle and also haxed Giga Butterfree of Mr. Censored.

Thing is, I don,t have a counter for that Drapion, so I send Puerroman, since only he outspeeds. Puerroman damages Drapion with Return and gets confused.

I send Iron Lady into Sludge Bomb. Rain ends.
Drapion uses Earthquake and dies from Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Now I have another big problem, Toxicroak. How can I avoid losing another Mon here? Cloudy is my best bet, but Toxi uses Substitute on the switch.
Toxicroak uses Sludge Bomb and gets the Sub broken.

I send Iron Lady in the next Substitute.
Toxicroak uses Sub again but gets it broken by Iron Head.
Toxicroak tries again, the result is the same.
Previous turns repeat.
Quick Claw finally activates and the battle ends:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Poison type truly ended up being the best Monotype. That Drapion and Toxicroak did a lot of damage:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

I put Reef (Johto Corsola) into the team and finish the chapter here. I am going on holidays, so next one is going to be on Friday the earliest.

Chapter 95. The green bear.

Training Reef, I find a Shiny on Mt. Pyre:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

The speed IV is the most important one on a Mon like this one and Medi has almost perfect value there. Will certainly be useful in the future.

After the training I go to Battle Frontier again. On round 1 of Battle Factory I use a Hail team of Ninetales, Lapras and Snorlax, most of the battles were swept by just Ninetales.
In round 2 I choke and pick a Togekiss without realizing it has Hustle instead of Serene Grace (it did have Body Slam and Ancient Power, but still Serene Grace would have been better), so I lose in the first battle since Togekiss couldn,t hax.

I use Iron Lady, Puerroman and Eeveeto in Battle Arena, losing pathetically in the second battle, when a Charjabug avoided a Rock Slide and haxed Iron Lady to death with Thunder Wave (Puerroman didn,t OHKO).

At Battle Tower the team does much better and I get 52 wins. Restalk Huge Power Wooloo + Charizard end the streak this time.

I change the team at Battle Palace and use Iron Lady, Gerania and Reef. I only win 10 battles with them, since after Octillery won against Gerania and Reef, Iron Lady (with a Band) locked herself into Return, but the opponent had a Pupitar.

In round 1 of Battle Pike I have 6 battles, but somehow survive.
Round 2 has 3 battles, which is the average in this facility. The opposing Mons are still weak, so I win easily.
After getting 2 freezes and a paralisis in round 3, a SD Sceptile ends this streak.

There is no point to even try the Battle Arena with the current team, so I directly go to the Monocycle Road. Next trainer there is looking for his Sensei:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Zzz leads with Dodrio. My lead is Reef, so I switch Iron Lady while the bird uses SD.
Dodrio uses SD again and survives Iron Head with Focus Sash.
I use the Damage Calculator and see that as long as Dodrio is not Adamant or crits, Iron Lady should survive... well, there wasn,t need to even calc, Dodrio misses Jump Kick:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Next is Ambipom. This Mon can have Counter, so I send Reef into... Hidden Power Fire.
Ambipom uses Nasty Plot and gets a Toxic.

I send Eeveeto while Ambipom uses Nasty Plot again.
Ambipom uses Nasty Plot to get to +6, Eeveeto attacks with Crunch.
Eeveeto protects from Water Pulse.

I switch to Cloudy while ZZZ withdraws Ambipom and sends the much more dangerous Persian.

I switch Iron Lady in, getting Taunted.
Persian uses Shadow Ball. Despite being a guaranted crit, Iron Lady survives in green and kills the cat with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Ambipom comes back, so Reef takes another Hidden Power. The monkey dies the same turn from poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Dodrio missing made the rest of the battle much easier, but without luck I don,t think there would have been casualties here anyway.

Next trainer ( a green bear owner) is very close this time:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Already battle vs josito at the beginning of the game. This time he leads with his shiny Ursaring, who is burned. My lead is still Reef and I don,t see any counter to that bear, so I have to sack Reef here. She actually survives a Facade with 6 HP and manages to use Surf.
Next turn Reef gets KOd:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

RIP Reef.
If I had Prisrak in the team, sacking would have not been necessary.

I send Puerroman. Probably Return would have been enough, but just to ensure the kill, I order my duck to use Superpower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Reuniclus is next. Eeveeto comes into Calm Mind.
Eeveeto uses Toxic, Reuniclus boosts again.
Eeveeto uses Crunch, Reuniclus still boosts.
Eeveeto uses another Crunch, Reuniclus finally attacks with Fire Punch.
Eeveeto protects.

I switch Eeveeto out for Cloudy, Josito switches Golduck in at the same time.
Golduck uses a strong Ice Beam, leaving Cloudy in red. Cloudy drops the duck's Special Attack with Moonblast.

I send Iron Lady into the next Ice Beam.

Josito withdraws Golduck and sends Reuniclus into Brick Break.
Iron Lady kills Reuniclus with Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Only Golduck remains. Gerania switches into Specs Hydro Pump.
Gerania avoids the next Hydro Pump and the battle finishes:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

There was no way of avoiding a KO here since Ursaring could use Brick Break on turn 1 and if I sent Cloudy outspeed her and KO with Facade. Only good thing is that he killed the least valuable Mon. The rest of Josito's team also gave me troubles:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 96. Good vibes.

The Mon I choose to train is Pinchepez (Qwilfish).

After the training, Frontier challenge time. Round 1 of Battle Factory goes easily with Skarmory, Nidoking and Houndoom.
Round 2 is even easier. My team is Metagross, Kingdra and Breloom, I don,t swap once.
In round 3 I center my team around Dragon Dance Mega Altaria. The 2 partners that remain at the end of it are Band Cursola and Belly Drum Chesnaught.
In round 4 I choose Mega Absol, Frosmoth and Azumarill. The first trainer has a Scarf Banette with Double Edge that takes me by surprise and I eventually lose to it, Regigigas and Mega Houndoom.

At Battle Dome I try to use a Stall team with Pinchepez, Eeveeto and Gerania. I only last one tournament, in the second one a Golbat and a Vullaby defeat me for rushing too much.

In Battle Tower stalling doesn,t work either. At battle 6 Hitmontop + Hitmonlee (both knowing EQ) overwhelm the team.

Battle Palace isn,t much better, only 11 wins I get.

I don,t see the team being able to get the Gold on either Battle Pike or Battle Arena, so I go directly to the Monocycle Road. Next trainer there came right from Pokemon Colosseum:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Yes, he still has the Colosseum theme, althpugh I personally prefer the one of Pokemon XD. Miror B leads with 2 Ludicolos, my leads are Pinchepez and Eeveeto. I switch Pinchepez out and send Cloudy, taking a Thunder Punch while the other Ludicolo uses Rain Dance and Eeveeto poisons one of them.
The poisoned Ludicolo protects from Moonblast. The other one misses Hydro Pump and gets poisoned too.
One Ludicolo attacks Cloudy with Hydro Pump and the other with Knock Off. Cloudy uses Moonblast to one Ludicolo and Eeveeto Crunches him too.
The next turn both Ludicolos attack Eeveeto, one with crit Hydro Pump, the other with Knock Off (this means Eeveeto lost Lefties). Cloudy goes to sleep and Eeveeto attacks the healthier Ludicolo with Crunch. The other one dies to poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Jumpluff comes in. It sleeps Eeveeto while Ludicolo protects. Rain ends.
Jumpluff uses Mimic but fails. Ludicolo puts the Rain again. Eeveeto wakes up and uses Wish. Ludicolo dies to poison at the end of the turn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Miror B. sends Armaldo. Eeveeto protects from both Mimic and X Scissors. Cloudy wakes up and damages Armaldo with Moonblast. Eeveeto heals at the end of the turn, so does Armaldo with Sitrus Berry.

Jumpluff tries to Encore Eeveeto but I switch him out, sending Pinchepez to Intimidate and take X-Scissors from Armaldo. Cloudy kills the fossil with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Now, an actually scary Mon comes, Exploud. Jumpluff sleeps Pinchepez while CLoudy removes Exploud with a crit Moonblast before it can move:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

Last is Sudowoodo. I switch Pinchepez out and send Gerania. The tree uses Helping Hand to help Jumpluff to use... Mimic. Cloudy damages Sudowoodo with Moonblast.
Sudowoodo uses Helping Hand again, but Jumpluff uses Sleep Powder to Cloudy. Gerania kills Sudowoodo:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

I switch Gerania out and send Pinchepez again. Jumpluff tries to use Mimic.
Jumpluff tries to use Mimic again. Cloudy wakes up and attacks with Flamethrower.
Jumpluff tries to sleep Cloudy but misses. Pinchepez wakes up and ends the battle with Sludge Bomb:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Very easy battle despite being a Double one. In fact, all my team survived undamaged:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

And turns out this was the last battle of Monocycle Road. Miror B goes away and now I can visit the last Gym of Micolandia, the one of Darkizard.

The Gym is dark and I can,t use Flash to remove the darkness:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

"Mortal, nothing will light this place".

I guess I have to go almost blind. The first trainer there tells me that he has orders to capture me (so that I don,t ruin Micolo's plans), but gives me the option to refuse fighinting. Since there is no other way around, I need to accept the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_31.png

However, turns out he is the real Darkizard:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_32.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_33.png

DARKIBUENRO = Darki Good Vibes. He leads with Mamoswine, who is intimidated by Pinchepez. I then switch him out and send Gerania into EQ.

Darkizard switches Mamoswine out and sends Mega Pidgeot into Giga Drain.

I switch Eeveeto into Brave Bird.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes another Brave Bird and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals.
Eeveeto takes Brave Bird and uses Toxic.
Eeveeto takes another one and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals. Unfortunately, Pidgeot is still alive and will die next turn.

While I try to use another Protect, Darkizard withdraws Pidgeot and sends Chesnaught.

I switch Cloudy into Leech Seed.
Cloudy avoids Toxic and kills Chesnaught with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_34.png

Aggron comes next in. I switch Pinchepez into Thunder Wave.
Pinchepez takes an Earthquake and paralyzes Aggron with her own Thunder Wave.

Gerania takes the next EQ.
Gerania uses EQ too and its paralyzed by TW.

I switch Iron Lady in. Aggron can,t attack this turn.
One Brick Break is enough to kill Aggron:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_35.png

Mega Pidgeot comes in only to die from Poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_36.png

Now, Mamoswine comes back, so I switch Gerania in.

Darkizard switches Mamoswine out again and sends a Dragapult into Giga Drain.

So I switch Eeveeto in, getting him and Dragapult burned by Will-o-Wisp.
Dragapult attacks with Dragon Claw and lives a Crunch.

Darkizard withdraws Dragapult and sends Mamoswine again while Eeveeto uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects from Superpower and heals.

Cloudy takes the next Superpower.

Darkizard withdraws Mamoswine once again and switches in his last unrevealed Mon, an Espeon. Cloudy goes to sleep but wakes up with Chesto Berry.

I send Iron Lady while Espeon boosts with CM.
Espeon uses CM again and lives Iron Head with Focus Sash.
Espeon launches a Psychic and dies from Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_37.png

Mamoswine returns, so Gerania takes another EQ, which this time crits.
Mamoswine continues attacking, Gerania heals with Synthesis.

Darkizard sacks Dragapult:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_38.png

Now Mamoswine has no more escape. He however, hits Gerania hard with Blizzard and survives Giga Drain.

Fearing a crit, I switch Pinchepez to take next Blizzard.

Now, I am pretty sure this Mamoswine is choiced, but in case it isn,t I send Eeveeto to scout. Since it uses Blizzard again, its confirmed choiced.
Eeveeto avoids next Blizzard and uses Wish.
Eeveeto takes a Blizzard and uses Crunch.
After taking one last Blizzard, Eeveeto wins the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_39.png

After winning, Darkizard tells me that this gym will be a long dungeon full of mortal traps at the end of which, the Bad Vibes Darkizard will wait for me. For now, though, I finish the chapter here (can,t show the team, since Darkizard healed it after the battle).

Chapter 97. Drilling games.

Time to explore the Gym. I see some rocks I can break and some others I can move:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

However, I have no idea about where to move those rocks.

Exploring the labyrinth I come across a trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

He speaks about strong and weak humans and wants to exterminate the weak ones for a better world :worrywhirl:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Charz leads with a Shiny Charizard. Puerroman is my lead and since it can,t OHKO Zard without a crit, I switch Eeveeto in, while Zard uses Dragon Dance.
Charizard uses Dragon Dance again and gets poisoned.
Eeveeto protects while Charizard uses Dragon Dance a 3rd time.
Charizard uses Dragon Dance for 4th time while Eeveeto uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and Charizard still boosts.

Eeveeto tries to Protect again while Charz withdraws Zard and sends a Hitmonchan.

Pinchepez comes in to take Seismic Punch.
Hitmonchan uses Seismic Punch again and Pinchepez paralyzes it.
Pinchepez puts a layer of Spikes in case the 3rd Mon of Charz has a Focus Sash. Hitmonchan still uses Seismic Punch.
Pinchepez crits with Sludge Bomb:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Charizard comes in again. I predict EQ so I send Puerroman, but Zard uses Dragon Claw instead.
Puerroman kills Zard with Return:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

My Spikes have been useless, since the last Mon is a Ledian. I send Iron Lady into Mach Punch.
Ledian misses Meteor Mash and Iron Lady kills it with Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Pretty easy battle. I continue and see some stairs, but an invisible wall doesn,t let me to approach them:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

I need to find and defeat all trainers before continuing. So I start to search for them and find one that has an army of Beedrills:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

I will suppose he has 6 Beedrills, since he leads with one (non-Mega). I could go for the kill with Puerroman, but I decide to send Pinchepez instead into Sludge Bomb.
Beedrill uses Solar Beam, which hits one turn due to Power Herb. The bug avoids Thunder Wave too.
Beedrill charges another Solar Beam and gets paralyzed.

I send Gerania to take Solar Beam, but Beedrill can,t move.

Pinchepez comes back and takes Sludge Bomb.
Pinchepez puts Spikes while Beedrill charges Solar Beam.

Gerania takes Solar Beam.

I send Pinchepez again but Dranix withdraws Beedrill and sends another one.

Puerroman comes into Drill Run.

Dranix withdraws Beedrill and sends a Mega one. Puerroman crits with Return, killing it:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Puerroman proceeds to kill all the Beedrills:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Except he doesn,t. Next one is scarf and poisons Puerromán with Sludge Bomb before dying:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Fortunately, Puerromán survives the poison damage:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Pinchepez comes into Sludge Bomb from the Shiny Beedrill.
Beedrill uses Drill Run and is paralyzed.

Gerania takes the next Drill Run.

Then Iron Lady comes into Sludge Bomb.
Shiny Beedrill is killed by Sludge Bomb:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Lead Beedrill is the next one killed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Last Beedrill uses Endeavor before dying:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Pretty close battle, my team is not very well prepared for Beedrill SPAM:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Next trainer I find also likes drills:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

He leads with Tyranitar, so I know I have a problem, since I know what Drill is in the back. My lead is Eeveeto this time. He avoids Rock Slide and uses Toxic.
Eeveeto protects from Thunder Wave.

Gerania takes the Thunder Wave.
Tyranitar uses Dark Pulse, Gerania can,t move this turn.

Anthony withdraws Tyranitar and sends Dunsparce, who is seeded.

I send Iron Lady while Dunsparce uses Coil.
Dunsparce uses Body Slam and dies from Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Actual Excadrill comes now. I send Gerania into EQ.

Pinchepez comes into Iron Head.

Finally, Puerroman comes into another EQ.
Puerroman uses Superpower:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

RIP Puerroman. Fuck Focus Sash.

Eeveeto takes Earthquake and kills Excadrill with Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

Only Tyranitar remains. Eeveeto protects.

Cloudy takes a Rock Slide.

Pinchepez takes Thunder Wave and Tyranitar finally dies from Poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Very hard battle despite having only 3 Mons. Like vs Beedrill, my team is not prepared vs Excadrill either, especially if it has Focus Sash and I get no chances to put Spikes reliably. Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 95. The green bear.

Training Reef, I find a Shiny on Mt. Pyre:

View attachment 409259

View attachment 409462

View attachment 409463

Zzz leads with Dodrio. My lead is Reef, so I switch Iron Lady while the bird uses SD.
Dodrio uses SD again and survives Iron Head with Focus Sash.
I use the Damage Calculator and see that as long as Dodrio is not Adamant or crits, Iron Lady should survive... well, there wasn,t need to even calc, Dodrio misses Jump Kick:

View attachment 409464

View attachment 409465

Ambipom comes back, so Reef takes another Hidden Power. The monkey dies the same turn from poison:

View attachment 409466

Dodrio missing made the rest of the battle much easier, but without luck I don,t think there would have been casualties here anyway.

Next trainer ( a green bear owner) is very close this time:

View attachment 409467

View attachment 409468

Already battle vs josito at the beginning of the game. This time he leads with his shiny Ursaring, who is burned. My lead is still Reef and I don,t see any counter to that bear, so I have to sack Reef here. She actually survives a Facade with 6 HP and manages to use Surf.
Next turn Reef gets KOd:

View attachment 409469

RIP Reef. If I had Prisrak in the team, sacking would have not been necessary.

I send Puerroman. Probably Return would have been enough, but just to ensure the kill, I order my duck to use Superpower:

View attachment 409470

View attachment 409471

Only Golduck remains. Gerania switches into Specs Hydro Pump.
Gerania avoids the next Hydro Pump and the battle finishes:

View attachment 409472

There was no way of avoiding a KO here since Ursaring could use Brick Break on turn 1 and if I sent Cloudy outspeed her and KO with Facade. Only good thing is that he killed the least valuable Mon. The rest of Josito's team also gave me troubles:

View attachment 409473

Finishing the chapter here.
I told you that I would kill your Pokémon when we met irl some months ago, I'm glad that I did it, but I thought that my team was even better [my Reuniclus didn't do anything :(].

Chapter 98. The original champion.

The Mon I choose to train now is Machaon (Beautifly). After the training, I go to Battle Factory, where my Giga Kingler, Clefable and Aerodactyl lose at the end of Round 1.

At Battle Dome I use Iron Lady, Cloudy and Machaon. I manage to win 4 tours but in the final of the 5th one a Milotic crits Machaon when I just needed one Quiver Dance to secure the win.

Similar result I get in Battle Tower, where in battle 29 a Nidoking + Spinda stop my streak.

At Battle Palace I have the bad luck of running into a lead Ditto in battle 4. It transformed into Iron Lady and swept the whole team.

Round 1 of Battle Pike is easy despite 4 battles.
Round 2 is easier, just one Double Battle at the beginning and the rest of the round consisted in some statusing and healing.
First room of round 3 makes Iron Lady paralyzed and Cloudy damaged in a battle. In the second one a Kirlia poisons Machaon and in the third one Cloudy is frozen by a Dusclops. Later I get the paralysis of Iron Lady healed only to get frozen by another Dusclops right after that. At the very end of the round I have another battle: Girafarig succesfully passes a Substitute vs the frozen Iron Lady to Hitmontop. I sack Cloudy and kill Hitmontop with Machaon, who then loses to Porygon. Iron Lady manages to defrost and wins the battle after that.
In round 4 I only have one battle which Iron Lady wins without taking damage. I do have all my team frozen right aftwerwards, but no more battles.
At the beginning of round 5 Iron Lady is frozen, which allows a Coil Sandaconda + Band Boomburst Flygon to sweep my team.

At Battle Arena I get 14 wins. In battle 15 Iron Lady kills a Rain Dance Seaking, but loses to Sharpedo, who then uses Taunt + Destiny Bond to take away Cloudy. Last Mon is a Armaldo, Machaon has no chance.

So, I go back to Micolandia, but not to Darkizard Gym. Instead, I want to clean one of the 3 trainers left at Cibercafé:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Blue leads with Mega Pidgeot while my lead is Pinchepez. I withdraw it and send Eeveeto, taking a neutral Hidden Power.
Eeveeto takes Heat Wave and uses Wish.
Eeveeto takes another Heat Wave and uses Toxic, healing at the end of the turn.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Heat Wave and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects.

Blue withdraws Pidgeot and sends Arcanine while Eeveeto uses Wish.

I switch Pinchepez in, only to be burned by Will-o-Wisp.
Arcanine uses Crunch and is paralyzed.
Pinchepez uses Rest, only to be Crunched again.

I send Cloudy, getting the Special Defense dropped.
Cloudy uses Earthquake and is burned too.

I send Eeveeto to remove the Special Defense drop. Arcanine can,t move.

Cloudy comes back into another WoW.
Cloudy uses Moonblast and is damaged by Flamethrower.
Cloudy uses Rest and wakes up with Chesto Berry. Arcanine heals with Morning Sun.
Cloudy damages Arcanine with EQ. Arcanine can,t move.
Arcanine takes another EQ and still can,t move.
Arcanine barely survives EQ and heals.
Cloudy still attacks and Arcanine can,t move again.
Cloudy finally kills the tiger:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_36.png

Blue sends a Gyarados. He flinches Cloudy with Iron Head.

Pinchepez takes the next Iron Head.

Gerania comes in as Gyarados uses Dragon Dance.

Eeveeto comes into another DD.
Gyarados gets to +2 while Eeveeto uses Toxic.
Gyarados gets to +3. Eeveeto uses Wish.

I send Pinchepez, intimidating Gyarados and healing. He still uses DD.

Machaon gets into EQ.

Pinchepez comes back and takes Iron Head.

Gerania takes Earthquake, Gyarados finally dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_37.png

Mega Pidgeot comes back. I send Eeveeto into Brave Bird, which actually takes a lot.
Eeveeto protects from Brave Bird.

Pinchepez takes the next one, Pidgeot dies from recoil:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_38.png

Blue sends a scary Tyranitar. Gerania takes Earthquake.
Tyranitar flinches Gerania with Rock Slide.

Iron Lady comes into expected Rock Slide, but Tyranitar uses Iron Head instead.

Ok, Pinchepez has to Intimidate and die in order for me to win:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_39.png

RIP Pinchepez. My water types somehow always die very quickly. This one died due to the flinch on Gerania, Leech Seed would have prevented the death.

Iron Lady comes back, activates Quick Claw and kills Tyranitar with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_40.png

Exeggutor is next. I switch Eeveeto into Hidden Power.
Exeggutor sleeps Eeveeto. Now this is getting dangerous.
Exeggutor uses Giga Drain, Eeveeto is still asleep.

I send Machaon to take next Giga Drain.
Machaon uses Quiver Dance and barely survives Psychic and Sandstorm damage.
Machaon uses Hidden Power Fire... and Exeggutor lives it, using the same move:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_41.png

RIP Machaon.
At least, he ensured the kill of Egg from Sandstorm.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_42.png

Last Mon of Blue turns out to be an Umbreon. It uses Double Team, but can,t avoid Brick Break.
Umbreon tries to heal but is hit again.
Umbreon tries to do it again but the battle ends after another Brick Break and Sandstorm damage:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_43.png

Very hard battle. My strongest Mons survived, but I still got 2 deaths here. At least now only 2 Cibercafé trainers remain, they can,t kill many more Mons. Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 99. Real fear.

I need 2 new Mons once again. One is going to be Pom-Pom (Ambipom). The other, right from the Daycare where it got to level 76 is Furia Azul (Magikarp).

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

The training goes fast this time. After it, I go to Battle Factory, where my Kingdra, Arcanine and Alolan Ninetales lose in round 1 to a Band Tauros that crits twice with Facade. Since the Mons that share level are the same as last time, there is no point in going to the rest of the facilities.

So, I go to the Gym of Darkizard. Turns out, I have beaten all trainers of the first area, so I can advance. In the next area there is grass, so I can catch a Mon. Weezing, Electrode, Toxtricity, Forretress, Skarmory, Crobat (caught), Obstagoon (I have a Galarian Zigzagoon), Cofagrigus, Mega Houndoom, Charizard, Hydreigon and Dragapult appear here. This is what I catch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Not only is the worst Mon for Nuzlocke of the area, it also has very bad IVs.

Crossing the grass area I fight some madman that hates Melkor:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Oh, its the legendary Umbreon123 that gave me troubles in the the previous Gym. He leads with an Eeveeto, who Pom Pom uses Fake Out against.
Eeveet is faster due to Everstone, so it triggers Focus Sash by using Return, being KOd by the same move:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Actual Umbreon is the other Mon. Cloudy switches into Crunch.
Umbreon uses Double Team and is damaged by Moonblast.
Umbreon uses Confuse Ray and avoids Moonblast.
Umbreon drops Cloudy's Sdef with Crunch. Cloudy damages herself.
Umbreon uses Crunch again. Cloudy snaps confusion but still misses.
Umbreon confuses Cloudy again and avoids Moonblast.
Umbreon uses Double Team. Cloudy snaps confusion, but misses Moonblast.

I am tired of this, so I send my own Umbreon into the next Confuse Ray.
It takes 3 Toxics and some misses to finally put the opposing Umbreon on timer.

I then send Cloudy again. It takes a lot of turns for Cloudy, but she finally hits Umbreon with Moonblast. Umbreon survives the hit, but dies to poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Easy win, though it was quite long for only 2 Mons to defeat.

While I go through the Grass a Shiny appears, but its one I already caught:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Then I face another trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

This time my lead is Furia Azul, meaning that the lead Tyranitar is intimidated. I send Iron Lady while Tar uses Dragon Dance.
Tyranitar uses Dragon Dance again and dies from Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Gengar is next. It has Leftovers, so I can,t just Stall it, meaning I need to risk Destiny Bond. Fortunately, Quick Claw activates here and Gengar dies in one hit:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Last Mon is one that probably means the death of Iron Lady unless I hax again... a Level 1 Aron.
Iron Lady uses Iron Head, Aron survives with Sturdy and uses Endeavor, healing with Shell Bell.

Huh, maybe I can prevent the death, since it now actually has to attack to kill Iron Lady. I send Pom Pom on that other move... that turns out to be Endeavor again:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

RIP Pom Pom. This is what happens when I just click instead of think twice. There was a right solution to the problem.
Cloudy with Cloud Nine was that solution. She uses Flamethrower and gets the Endeavor.
Maybe now the Aron will use another move? Doesn,t really matter, though. Cloudy uses Rest and wakes up with Chesto Berry. Aron uses Endeavor again, bringing Cloudy to 12 HP.
Cloudy uses Flamethrower. Aron uses Endeavor again, but now he couldn,t heal to full.
So, Cloudy kills the Aron with another Flamethrower.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Once again the frailest and fastest Mon died, I need another one. Finishing the chapter here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Chapter 100. Touching grass.

The Mon I decide to train this time shares type with both Gerania and Eeveeto, but this doesn,t matter, since the defensive value is low anyway. The Mon is Narizotas (Shiftry).

After the training, I return to Battle Frontier. At the factory I get just 5 wins this time, a CM Slowking crits my CM Espeon in the 6th battle.

At Battle Dome I use Furia Azul, Cloudy and Gerania. I only last 1 tournament, at the second one Cloudy gets overwhelmed vs Alolan Raticate and Zangoose, who then uses Counter to Furia Azul.

At Battle Tower I could have gotten more than 20 wins if I didn,t choke and let Furia Azul vs a Specs Gyarados with Thunder Punch. A Nidoqueen then cleaned the rest of my team.

Palace is a mess like usually, 19 wins, then a Castform sweeps me while my Mons don,t attack.

This team is one of the few ones that could be good in a Double Battle. So, in Battle Pike I look for them. In round 1 I only get one at the very end, which I easily win.
In round 2 I have only one battle too, this time a Single one. Despite all my team starting the battle asleep, Wigglytuff, Cacturne and Crawdaunt weren,t able to break it.
In round 3 the only battle is double, vs Relicanth and Corsola that Gerania enjoyed to meet.
In round 4 I face a Band Mega Banette with Gunk Shot that destroys my team despite being intimidated.

Team does not look good for Battle Arena, but I try it anyway, getting only 8 wins, being stopped then by a Lairon that outsped both Cloudy and Furia Azul.

Time to go again to the Darkizard Gym. The next trainer there knows his element:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Oh no, is Melkor from another world! He leads with a Mega Absol. Narizotas flinches it with Fake Out.
Absol misses Megahorn and is damaged by Leaf Blade.

Iron Lady takes the next Megahorn.
Mega Absol uses Taunt and dies from Iron Head:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Lucario comes next. It uses Nasty Plot and survives Brick Break with Focus Sash.

Eeveeto comes into Psychic.
Eeveeto protects from Ice Punch.
Eeveeto gets frozen but thaws the same turn and kills Lucario with Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Last is Lucario. It uses Dazzling Gleam and takes Crunch, getting the Sdef dropped.

I send Gerania to take next Dazzling Gleam. I realize that Gerania still has the Sitrus Berrry from Battle Frontier instead of Leftovers.
Alakazam drops the Special Defense of Gerania with Psychic and survives Giga Drain.

Narizotas comes in while Alakazam uses Recover.
Alakazam uses Recover again but dies from Knock Off, the battle ends here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

After winning, Dark Melkor tells me that someone is opening portals of space and time, bringing people from other worlds to this one, thats how he appeared. The battle itself was quite easy after I avoided Megahorn (though I had Focus Sash anyway, Narizotas was never at risk of dying):

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Next trainer also speaks about portals:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Furry Trainer is a moderator of Pxp Forums and has appeared in all Midele Games as a policeman with level 100 Mons at the beginning of the games (so, the battle was always almost a guaranted lose). This time however, his Arcanine is just at level 89. Narizotas uses Fake Out, but Arcanine recovers all the damage with Leftovers.

Cloudy comes in to take Flamethrower, but is burned.
Cloudy takes another Flamethrower and uses Rest, waking up with Chesto Berry.
Arcanine burns Cloudy with Will-o-Wisp and takes Earthquake.
Arcanine uses Flamethrower and takes Moonblast.
Both Pokemon exchange hits again.
Cloudy survives another Flamethrower in red and goes to sleep.
Arcanine heals with Morning Sun. Then it attacks with Flamethrower twice. Second hit is crit but Cloudy wakes up and uses Moonblast.
Arcanine misses Wow, Cloudy goes to sleep.
Arcanine attacks 3 times, then it gets the Special Attack dropped with Moonblast.
Arcanine burns Cloudy, who goes to sleep.
Arcanine attacks 3 times again, then gets damaged by Moonblast.
Arcanine burns Cloudy but gets the Special Attack dropped again.

Furry withdraws Arcanine and sends Lycanroc Night while Cloudy goes to sleep. Danger.

I send Iron Lady into Iron Tail, which drops her Defense.

Gerania takes the next Iron Tail.
Lycanroc attacks again but Gerania does more damage with Giga Drain.

Furry withdraws Lycanroc and sends Arcanine again. After Giga Drain and Leftovers, Gerania recovers almost to full.

Cloudy comes into Wow.
Cloudy takes 3 Flamethrowers and drops the Special Attack of Arcanine with Moonblast.
Arcanine burns Cloudy, but she uses Rest.
After taking 3 Flamethrowers, Cloudy uses Moonblast.
Arcanine burns Cloudy and gets the Special Attack dropped again.
Arcanine continues attacking and gets hit by another Moonblast.
Both Pokemon heal.

Furry switches to Lycanroc again.

Gerania switches into Iron Tail and has the Defense dropped.
Gerania takes another Iron Tail and kills Lycanroc:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Arcanine comes back and so does Cloudy, dropping the Special Attack of Arcanine again after taking 3 Flamethrowers.
Arcanine misses Wow but Cloudy goes to sleep anyway.
After using Flamethrower one more time, Arcanine crits with Crunch and drops Cloudy's Special Defense.

Eeveeto takes the next Crunch.

Cloudy comes into WoW.
Cloudy takes Crunch and uses Earthquake.
Cloudy gets burned and drops the Special Attack of Arcanine with Moonblast.
Both Pokemon heal.

Furry finally reveals his last Mon... a scary Pangoro.
Pangoro damages Cloudy with Sludge Bomb.

Iron Lady comes into the next Sludge Bomb.

Furia Azul switches into Earthquake.
Pangoro poisons Furia Azul with Sludge Bomb and survives Hidden Power Flying.
Pangoro uses Sludge Bomb again and dies from Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Only Arcanine remains. Eeveeto comes into Crunch and gets the Special Defense dropped, but it doesn,t matter at this point.
Eeveeto takes WoW and uses Toxic.
Arcanine uses Crunch, Eeveeto uses Wish.

I send Narizotas, since I want him to get some experience. He gets crit from Crunch but heals with Wish.
Narizotas flinches Arcanine with Fake Out.
Narizotas uses Knock Off. Arcanine survives and heals with Morning Sun.
Arcanine heals 2 more times before finally dying to Knock Off:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Arcanine was a free Mon, but both Lycanroc and Pangoro did actual damage:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

I continue my way in the Gym. After finishing the Grass area, there is another one with Water:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

In most of the coasts, there is no way to advance. The exception is this one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Turns out there is someone else in the Grass area. Eventually I find another trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Idk who Yume is. The lead Snorlax she sents, though, is quite scary for my team. Narizotas flinches it with Fake Out.
Predicting Metronome into Dig, Narizotas uses Knock Off, knocking a POWER HERB.

This is of course a chance for Furia Azul to come in.
Furia Azul uses Substitute, Snorlax tries Metronome again, getting Mud Sport.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance, Snorlax gets Iron Head with Metronome.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance again, Snorlax gets Torment with Metronome.
Furia Azul uses Hidden Power Flying. Snorlax survives and misses Muddy Water.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance. Snorlax goes to sleep with Rest (regular Rest, not Metronome one).
Furia Azul damages Snorlax with Earthquake.
Furia Azul gets to +4.
Furia Azul kills Snorlax with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Mandibuzz comes next. It survives Hidden Power and uses Taunt.
Since Furia Azul has Torment, she is forced to use Earthquake. Mandibuzz breaks the Sub with Knock Off.
Furia Azul kills the bird with Hidden Power:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Yume sends Scyther. Furia Azul is forced to use EQ and is heavily damages by Hidden Power Rock.
Furia Azul kills Scyther with Hidden Power:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Last is Palossand. Furia Azul uses Substitute that is broken by Shadow Ball.

I send Narizotas into the next Shadow Ball.
Narizotas knocks a Salac Berry and survives Earthquake.
Narizotas finishes the battle with Leaf Blade:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Yume was the last trainer of the Grassy area, I can now go to the Water one. Finishing the chapter here:
