Challenge (Finished) Pokemon Midele Emerald Nuzlocke

Chapter 101. A metalic change.

So, I start surfing in the water area of the Gym. First trainer that I face looks to be one brought from another world too, since he doesn,t know where he is:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Before the battle this dude tells me that in his world Pokemon Z exists, Lysandre is still the main villain (he survived the XY Story) and now has a 100% Zygarde as the main threat. Fittingly, the Kalos Fanboy sends a Chesnaught as the lead. Narizotas uses Heat Wave and crits, but Chesnaught survives and breaks the Focus Sash with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

I send Furia Azul to take next Brick Break.
Furia Azul puts a Sub while Chesnaught uses Spikes. Narizotas can,t return to the battlefield now.
Chesnaught protects while Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance.
Furia Azul boosts again, Chesnaught sets a second layer of Spikes.
Furia Azul gets to +3, Chesnaught sets the last layer.
In the unlikely case this Chesnaught has Roar, I decide to kill it here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

A regular Mawile is next. Wouldn,t matter if it was Mega, EQ is still in the moveset of Furia Azul:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Last is a Gourgeist that dies in one hit too:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Very easy battle. Lets go for the next one:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Angelfs leads with Butterfree. Narizotas uses Fake Out and then Heat Wave, which Butterfree survives, damaging Narizotas hard with Hidden Power.
Narizotas kills Butterfree with Knock Off:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

The other Mon is a regular Beedrill. I send Iron Lady into Brick Break.
Fearing Sash + Counter, I click Brick Break, but Iron Lady doesn,t get to attack:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

RIP Iron Lady. That useless Bug critted her with Drill Run. Very important death, Iron Lady offered so much both offensively and defensively.
Not fearing Counter anymore, I send Furia Azul. She takes Sludge Bomb and finished Beedrill with Hidden Power:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Well, this battle was very sad. I now need to train a new Mon. The one I choose is Steelheart (Beldum), one of the 5 Steels I currently have. The training begins...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

With Steelheart trained, I finish the chapter here.

Chapter 102. Stopping the Red army.

After the training of Steelheart ends, I go to Battle Frontier. Round 1 of Battle Factory consists in a lot of switching, ending up with Magmar (only Mon that stayed from the beginning), Steelix and Band Mega Pidgeot.
Round 2 is of lots of switching too. Like in round 1, only the lead Toxicroak stayed, the other 2 Mons were Starmie and Perish Trap Mega Altaria.
I tried to stall with Corviknight, Furret and Dhelmise in round 3, but a combination of Tauros, Runerigus and Blaziken ended my streak in the first battle.

At Battle Dome I use Steelheart, Cloudy and Furia Azul. For the first time in many attemts, I get to win 5 tournaments, so this means I am 20 wins away from the Gold Symbol. So, lets go from battle to battle now:
Battle 1 is vs Shuckle, Electivire and Obstagoon. Cloudy kills Obstagoon and then crits Electrivire.
Battle 2 is vs Yanmega, Spinda and Mega Banette. Spinda kills Furia Azul and Banette ends with Cloudy, so the streak ends way sooner than expected.

At Battle Tower I only get 21 wins, Honchkrow, Flygon and Eelektross end my streak.

At Battle Palance I use Narizotas in the place of Steelheart. This time I get 26 wins, but like many times before, a Band Flygon with Boomburst kills all my team.

With Narizotas, Furia Azul and Cloudy as the team for Battle Pike, I once again go for the Double Battles, though in first round, 2 out of the 3 were single ones. Not a single Mon of my team fainted.
The only battle of round 2 was Single too. All my team was statused prior to the battle, so it was quite tough. Only Cloudy survived but I was healed after the battle.
In round 3 I first have a Single battle in which Narizotas with 1 HP is the only survivor. After the heal, I have a Double one vs Sandslash and Hitmonlee, Cloudy gets some damage but I easily win. Then I have another single battle in which both Narizotas and Cloudy end up dying to a Specs non-Mega Altaria (Narizotas defeats an Alolan Raichu and Knocks the Specs first though), but Furia Azul sweeps the Altaria and a Breloom afterwards. Heal is conceded. A fourth battle is also single. Cloudy forces a Magnezone to explode, then Furia Azul sweeps through Ludicolo and Whimsicott.

Round 4 begins with another Single Battle. Cloudy forces out a Specs Typhlosion but dies to CM Sylveon. Furia Azul defeats the Sylveon, ending up quite damaged. Narizotas comes into Thunder Punch from Typhlosion and finishes it with Fake Out. Last is Luvdisc, but with a combination of Knock Off and Leaf Blade, Narizotas wins and I am healed. Next battle is a Double one, but Furia Azul starts it asleep. The opponents are Bisharp and Dunsparce, who crits twice and also paralyzes Cloudy. At the end of the battle, Narizotas is fainted, Cloudy paralyzed and Furia Azul in yellow. Fortunately, I manage to avoid more battles in this situation.
First battle of round 5 is a Double one vs Band Flygon and special Mega Absol. I win without casualties but Narizotas survives with 1 HP and Furia Azul in yellow. A single battle vs Specs Wigglytuff, Specs Togekiss and Granbull proves to be too much in this situation. This was still the best run at Battle Pike so far.

At Battle Arena I get 21 wins. In battle 22 a Specs Ninetales kills my first 2 Mons. Furia Azul manages to boost twice and kills Ninetales and Vileplume, but Togekiss was way too bulky.

No symbols once again... well, its Cibercafe time!

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

As expected, Red leads with Pikachu. Narizotas uses Fake Out and gets paralyzed from Static.
Narizotas takes a Thunder and kills Pikachu with Knock Off:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Red sends his most dangerous Mon, a Snorlax. I send Gerania, taking a strong Return.
Gerania uses Leech Seed, Snorlax starts to boost with Curse.

I switch Furia Azul on the second Curse.
Furia Azul puts Sub while Snorlax keeps boosting.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance. Snorlax keeps using Curse.
Both Mons continue boosting.
Both Mons continue boosting. Furia Azul is at +3 and Snorlax at +5 now.
Furia Azul gets to +4. Snorlax finally starts attacking and breaks the Sub.
Furia Azul puts another Sub that gets broken.
Furia Azul puts another Sub that gets broken.
Previous turn gets repeated.
...
Snorlax never goes to sleep and eventually is worn down by Leech Seed. Furia Azul finishes it with Hidden Power:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Venusaur comes next. Its murdered by Hidden Power too:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Espeon doesn,t fare better:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Neither does Charizard:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Last is Blastoise. Suspecting some evil trickery (Zap Cannon or Counter for example), I order Furia Azul to put Sub, which is not broken by Ice Beam (Furia Azul has 1 Speed IV and 0 EVs, so its heavily bulk invested).
Blastoise survives a +4 Hidden Power and breaks the Sub.
But its too late already:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Well, this was easy. Leech Seed from Gerania + Sub from Furia Azul really won the game. Only Leaf remains in Cibercafe now and I finish the chapter here.

Chapter 103. Sacred Fire.

I will leave Leaf for later and go now to the Gym of Darkizard. Next trainer comes from Alola:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Idk who Tilo is. He leads with Alolan Raichu against who Narizotas uses Fake Out.
Narizotas is faster than Raichu and kills it with Knock Off:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Next is Tauros, who has Sheer Force, since Intimidate doesn,t activate. It misses Blizzard and gets its NeverMeltIce knocked.

Eeveeto comes into the next Blizzard.
Eeveeto protects from Body Slam.
Tauros uses another Body Slam and dies from Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Tilo sends a Flareon. Eeveeto protects from Will-O-Wisp.

I send Cloudy while Flareon uses Wish.
Flareon burns Cloudy, takes EQ and heals.

I switch to Furia Azul while Flareon uses Wish again.
Furia Azul puts Sub that blocks WoW.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance, but Flareon breaks the Sub with an effective Hidden Power. Its either Rock or Electric.
I prefer to not learn which one it is and just kill Flareon with crit +1 EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Last is Decidueye. It traces Intimidate but the mechanic of Trace is different in Gen 3, so Intimidate doesn,t work and the owl dies from Hidden Power after using Shadow Sneak:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Easy battle. And with extra money after it:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Continuing on my way, I see a NPC that can teleport me to the entrance of the Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

I climb the waterfall instead and face another trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Red Sria (who I again don,t know who is) leads with a Shiny Bewear. Narizotas uses Fake Out but the Bewear recovers all the damage with Leftovers.
Narizotas uses Heat Wave. Bewear survives the move but suicides from its own Double Edge, breaking the Focus Sash:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Primeape is next. I send Cloudy into EQ.
Cloudy survives a second EQ and kills Primeape with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Last is Dragapult. Eeveeto comes in, avoiding a WoW.
Dragapult uses Dragon Claw, Eeveeto attacks with Crunch.
Dragapult uses another Dragon Claw and survives Crunch in red.
Dragapult attacks one last time and dies from crit Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Another easy battle, though the damage done this time was bigger:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

The water zone has been finished. Now I am in the teleport zone. Its a big laberynth, but eventually I find another trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Espi leads with a Shiny Mega Absol. Once again, Narizotas starts the battle with Fake Out.
Using Focus Sash, Narizotas survives Ice Beam but Mega Absol lives Leaf Blade too.

I send Eeveeto into the next Ice Beam.
Eeveeto takes another Ice Beam and kills Absol with Crunch:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Mega Sableye is the other Mon. Eeveeto protects from Seismic Toss.

I then send Cloudy into the next Stoss.
Cloudy kills Sableye with Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

After the battle, Espi tells me that all the graveyards around us (and there are many) are from people she has killed before and she collects them :worrywhirl:

Well, onto the next trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Kizarde leads with a Xatu. This time my lead is Steelheart. Xatu uses Calm Mind and avoids Toxic.
Xatu uses CM again and avoids Toxic again.
Xatu gets to +3. Steelheart finally hits.

While Steelheart protects, Xatu uses Baton Pass... to Ho-oh. Well, its time to lose Mons.
Ho-oh uses Future Sight and gets poisoned.
Steelheart protects from Sacred Fire.
Steelheart tries to protect again but fails:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

RIP Steelheart. Random NPC getting a Ho-oh was not something I expected.

Eeveeto gets in, but Future Sight almost kills him:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

Eeveeto protects from Thunderbolt.

I switch to Cloudy, taking another Thunderbolt.
Ho-oh uses Future Sight again, Cloudy goes to sleep and wakes up with Chesto Berry.

Kizarde switches Ho-oh out and sends Xatu, who gets in red from Moonblast.

I switch Narizotas in while Xatu uses Wish and dies from the poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

Narizotas takes Future Sight, but survives in red.
Narizotas flinches Absol with Fake Out. Absol recovers all the damage with Wish.

I send Cloudy into Shadow Ball, which drops Sdef.
Absol uses another Shadow Ball and dies from Mooblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_31.png

Ho-oh comes back. Its already in red. The broken bird uses Future Sight and dies from Moonblast:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_32.png

After the battle, the mad scientist Kizarde tells me that he is the one that invented the machine that allows Micolo organization to travel between worlds and bring people from there. Well, his Ho-oh for sure scared the fuck out of me:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_33.png

Steelheart was not a very good Steel, but the typing was still very valuable and now I need to get another one. Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 104. The rule of the tyrant.

Out of remaining 4 Steels I have, I choose the worst one, Bloodhound (Riolu). I also switch Narizotas out of the team and bring RockPunker (Toxtricity).

Pokemon Midele Emerald_34.png

While training, I run into a Shiny in Petalburg Woods:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_35.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_36.png

I look to have a curse with naturally fast Mons, all of them look to have bad Speed IVs. At least the other IVs are very good as compensation.

After the training, I go to Battle Factory. It will only be Factory this time, since my Mons are all on different levels. On round 1 I use a Hail team of Glalie, Ninetales and Giga Kingler. I almost lose first battle vs Curse + Amnesia + Rest Perrserker, but the rest of them were easy.
In round 2 I use Mega Banette, Alolan Persian and Arcanine from the start to the end. Another easy round with such a good team.
In round 3 I actually switch several times. Final team ends up being Specs Kommo-o, SD Leafeon and Destiny Bond Mega Sharpedo.

In round 4 I start switching a lot, ending up with Band Rhyperior, SD Ferrothorn and a Restalk Mantine. Was a pretty hard round in which I almost lose several times.
In round 5 I use Arbok, Ferrothorn and Dragonite. In the second battle an Aurorus uses CM and then crits both Arbok and Ferrothorn with Blizzard, living Surf from Specs Nite too. Worst part was the trainer implying he won with skill:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_37.png

So, back to the long Gym of Darkizard. Since there are big areas with annoying wild Mons, I use Max Repels, however they wear off much quickier here than in other places:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_38.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_39.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_40.png

"If you want to arrive to where I am, flea, you must trust in your own strength, or do you think you can always trust your Repels?" This guy is straight up evil.

Eventually I get to the next trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_41.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_42.png

Mobu leads with a Togekiss while my lead is RockPunker, who is faster and hits Togekiss with Sludge Bomb. Togekiss survives and brings RockPunker to Focus Sash with Psychic.
With Boomburst, RockPunker kills Togekiss:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_43.png

Next is a Metagross. I send Furia Azul into Psychic.
Metagross crits with Meteor Mash and Furia Azul uses Substitute, down to red rank.
Metagross breaks the Sub with another Meteor Mash and is damages by Earthquake.

Bloodhound gets into Psychic.
Bloodhound kills Metagross with a not needed Earthquake crit:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_44.png

Last is Reuniclus. Free switch into Psychic for Eeveeto.
Eeveeto poisos Reuniclus, who boosts with Calm Mind.
Eeveeto attacks with Crunch, Reuniclus gets to +2.
Eeveeto uses Crunch again, Reuniclus attacks with Fire Punch.
Eeveeto protects while Reuniclus heals with Recover.
Eeveeto uses Wish and is burned by Fire Punch.
Eeveeto protects.

I send Cloudy while Reuniclus uses Recover.

Eeveeto comes back. Reuniclus uses Recover again.
Eeveeto protects while Reuniclus still heals.

Cloudy comes into another Recover.
Cloudy uses Moonblast. Reuniclus heals, but poison kills it finally:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_45.png

The battles are becoming increasingly hard the more deep I go into the Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_46.png

Next trainer looks to be one of the last ones:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_47.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_48.png

Roxy leads with a Umbreon. I switch RockPunker out and send Bloodhound while Umbreon uses Double Team.
Band Brick Break is not enough to kill Umbreon in one hit, so it boosts the Evasion again.
Bloodhound misses and Umbreon heals with Moonlight.
Bloodhound hits Umbreon again before it gets to +3.
Bloodhound kills Umbreon:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_49.png

Next is Toxiroak, which is never good news (its too offensive). I send Furia Azul while it uses Sword Dance.
Toxicroak uses SD again, surviving Hidden Power with Focus Sash.

Bloodhound goes back into Sludge Bomb.
With Extreme Speed, Bloodhound kills Toxicroak before it can attack again:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_50.png

Of course, now I have to deal with a Pangoro. It uses Earthquake while I send Cloudy.

Furia Azul comes into the next EQ.
Roxy withdraws Pangoro and sends Grimmsnarl into Hidden Power. This means Pangoro must be Band.

I send RockPunker into Dark Pulse, which leaves her with 11 HP.
RockPunker kills Grimmsnarl with Sludge Bomb:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_51.png

Pangoro remains. Furia Azul comes into EQ.
Since Pangoro is Band, the battle is won:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_52.png

Another pretty scary battle in which I had to make some risky plays to win:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_53.png

Roxy was indeed the last trainer, because this is the next opponent:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_54.png

I leave the Gym, change some movesets, and come back to face the Totem:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_55.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_56.png

With RockPunker lead I have no way of avoid losing at least one Mon vs Totem Tyranitar, so I don,t even try and use Endeavor after taking EQ...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_58.png

RIP RockPunker. FUCK. It apparently doesn,t work on Totems. And this isn,t even in the document, though Super Fang being listed could have given me a clue.

So, I send Bloodhound. She lives Fire Blast with Focus Sash and OHKOs Tar with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_59.png

Well, before the turn 1 I planned to lose the most useless Mon and it happened, so can,t complain. The road to Bad Vibes Darki has been opened and I finish the chapter here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_60.png

Chapter 105. No more coffee.

The new Mon I train is Nephentes (Weepinbell). Its literally a sack slot, since the only niche it has at this point of the game is being a Fairy resist.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

After the training, I go to Battle Frontier. In Round 1 of Battle Factory I use a Sash Glalie, Band Salamence and Alakazam for most of the round. Only at last battle, vs Psychic specialist, I switch Zam for Houndoom.
In round 2 the final team was Electabuzz, Mantine and Centiskorch. As always, lead Electabuzz proved to be very useful.
In round 3 I switched a lot, ending up with SD Venusaur, Specs Eelektross and Specs Kommo-o. Still an easy round.

The lead of round 4 was the only Mon to stay through the entire round, a Curse Snorlax. Other 2 Mons were Metagross (who never battled) and Endure + Reversal Heracross.
In round 5 my team was Froslass, Milotic and Dunsparce. A Sub-CM Jirachi swept them all.

At Battle Dome I use Nephentes, Furia Azul and Cloudy. I nlu win one tournament here, at the second Vigoroth + Octillery somehow beat me.

A little better does the team at Battle Tower. I get 20 wins, then a Sub + Protect + STABs Aero defeats the team with the help of a fast Taunt Skarmory.

At Battle Palace I switch team and use Furia Azul, Gerania and Bloodhound. I get 24 wins. This time I don,t lose because my Mons are dumb, but because a Ninetales burned Furia Azul with Flamethrower turn 1. Quick Claw Magcargo turned out to be the other Mon and the item activated vs Bloodhound.

I lose Battle Pike at R1 because I got 4 battles in a row and the opponents did big damage despite most being NFEs.

Finally, at Battle Arena I use Nephentes, Bloodhound and Furia Azul. I have bad luck at battle 7 with the opponent using both variants of Persian, both with Thunderbolt, so Furia Azul stood no chance.

Time to go to Micolandia. I won,t get the Badge today, because I am not going to challenge Darkizard, I am going to challenge the last trainer of Cibercafé:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Leaf leads with a Ninetales that brings Drought. My lead is Furia Azul but I withdraw it fearing WoW and send Cloudy, who is hit by Fire Blast.
Cloudy avoids second Fire Blast and goes to sleep, waking up with Chesto Berry.
Cloudy takes another Fire Blast and uses Moonblast.
Next Fire Blast burns Cloudy and makes Ninetales survives Earthquake. It also prevents Cloudy from staying, since she would die.

So, Furia Azul must come back and take Fire Blast.
After taking another one, Furia Azul kills Ninetales with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Kangaskhan comes in. Bloodhound takes a Return from it.

Gerania comes into Brick Break.
Gerania takes Return and seeds Kangaskhan.
Gerania takes another Return and heals with Synthesis, taking advantage of the Sun.

Eeveeto comes into the next Return.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Brick Break and poisons Kangaskhan.
Eeveeto protects.
Kangaskhan uses Rest while Eeveeto uses Wish.

I send Furia Azul to heal and almost lose her. Kangaskhan happens to have Scrappy and Sleep Talk, but triggers Rest this time. Furia Azul heals.
Kanga triggers Rest again while Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance.
Furia Azul uses Dragon Dance again and takes Return, losing half of the life.
Furia Azul puts Sub that is broken by Return.
Furia Azul puts another Sub broken by Return.
Furia Azul puts a third Sub broken by Return.
Furia Azul kills Kangaskhan with Hidden Power:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Gengar comes now... one of the most annoying and dangerous Mons. I send Eeveeto into Thunderbolt.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes Thunderbolt and uses Wish.
Eeveeto almost dies from crit Thunderbolt:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Eeveeto attacks Gengar with Crunch and drops his Sdef.
Eeveeto protects while Gengar tries to use Destiny Bond.

Leaf withdraws Gengar and sends Clefable while Eeveeto uses Wish.

Nephentes comes in, takes Moonblast and heals with the Wish.
Nephentes poisons Clef with Sludge Bomb and survives Flamethrower with Focus Sash.
Next Sludge Bomb finishes Clef:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

A Ditto appears and transforms into Nephentes.I send Furia Azul, taking Sludge Bomb.

Bloodhound takes the next Sludge Bomb.

I send Eeveeto predicting the switch... but would have preferred to just attack, since Leaf sends her own Victreebel.
Victreebel sleeps Eeveeto with Sleep Powder.
Victreebel attacks with Solar Beam.
Victreebel attacks with another Solar Beam, leaving Eeveeto at 48 PS. Eeveeto is still asleep.
Eeveeto wakes up and Protects from Weather Ball.

I have no choice but to send Cloudy into Weather Ball.
If I knew Victreebel would be this dumb, Cloudy would have survived. Victreebel clicked Solar Beam (which due to Cloud Nine had to charge), surviving Flamethrower with Focus Sash. Cloudy collapses to the burn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

RIP Cloudy. Weather wars will become much harder from now.

Bloodhound kills Victreebel with Extreme Speed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Of course, Gengar comes back. I send Gerania... into Destiny Bond.
Gengar hits Gerania hard with Ice Punch and gets seeded.
Gerania survives next hit with 62 HP and heals.
Gengar uses Destiny Bond, Gerania clicks Synthesis again.

Fearing crit, I send Bloodhound into Ice Punch. Gengar dies from Leech Seed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Now, I have to survive 5 turns without losing a Mon vs Ditto transformed into Bloodhound. Here is current situation of the team:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

I send Gerania... into Earthquake. Lol, Ditto is dumb.
After taking 2 more EQs, Gerania 2HKOs Lucario with her own ones:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Extremely hard battle and could have been even harder if that Ditto transformed into +2 Furia Azul, given that Flying is the one type I had no resists for. Cloudy was the last victim of the cemetery that Cibercafe was designed to be, a pretty important death. I don,t know how many of my Mons died at this place, but I am pretty sure Manectric-Rang took notes of them.

Finishing the chapter here.

I don,t know how many of my Mons died at this place, but I am pretty sure Manectric-Rang took notes of them.
Yes indeed: these 16 mostly awesome battles took a total of 14 mons, in the following order:
  • 1 against Erika.
  • 2 against Lt. Surge (two very valuable ones: Soul Eater and Zorron).
  • 1 against Sabrina.
  • 4 against Lorelei.
  • 1 against Agatha in that Destiny Bond at the last turn.
  • 2 against Brock.
  • 2 against Blue.
  • 1 against Leaf, another notable one.
That amounts to almost half the mons lost since entering Micolandia. In addition, you have now 49 mons, so that's almost a third of your currently available mons.
EDIT: I missed a chapter with 3 new mons, so there were 52 alive mons at the moment.

Last edited:
Chapter 106. Very bad vibes.

Despite making myself weaker to Fairy Mons, I remove Nephentes from the team. The Mons I train are Mordisquin (Tyrunt) and Rocinante (Galarian Rapidash).

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Its time to get some symbols. At round 1 of Battle Factory I easily win with CM + Baton Pass Espeon, Mandibuzz and Whiscash.
At round 2 I use another very offensive team with Salazzle, Specs Vaporeon and Scyther, easily breaking through every opponent.
In round 3 I switched in every battle, ending up with Dual Screens Stantler, Restalk Frosmoth and Specs Magmortar. Somehow still won.
Having 3 Megas (Banette, Absol and Altaria) in round 4 should allowed me to not lose, but a Specs Lapras that critted Banette decided otherwise.

At Battle Dome I use Furia Azul, Bloodhound and Rocinante, winning 2 Tournaments, then losing in the final of the third one vs Corsola and Sandslash of all things.

At Battle Tower I use Furia Azul, Mordisquin and Gerania, getting 28 Wins before a lucky Mega Absol avoids Leech Seed and sweeps me.

Going all out offensive at Battle Palace with Furia Azul, Bloodhound and Mordisquin doesn,t work either, I only get 8 wins before an angry Farfetch'd destroys me.

At Battle Pike I use Furia Azul, Mordisquin and Gerania. It becomes my best run at this facility, losing at round 6 when I had the face a SD Dhelmise with all my team paralyzed.

Finally, at Battle Arena I use Rocinante, Mordisquin and Furia Azul. I win 18 battles, then tie the 19th one when a Ferrothorn defeats both Rocinante and Mordisquin, then activates Quick Claw and explodes on Furia Azul. Opponent was given the victory.

Well, if I can,t get a Symbol, I will get a Badge instead. So, I go to Darkizard Gym in order to challenge him.
At his room, there are several things. First is a teleport to get back to the entrance of the Gym. Then I see a PC:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

An operation known as Hades is ongoing. There are no details regarding what it is, but they are bringing troops to stop some big danger that threatens the world.

I see more documents in the Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

This is an invitation made by Micolo to several people that he wants to defend his Gyms. Then we have some bones, which are described as good memories:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Below it there is a letter from Good Vibes Darki to Micolo thanking him for the chance for him and Bad Vibes Darki to be the Gym leaders. Then we have...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

A spear with a blood covered eye that looks at me :worrywhirl:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

A dissected head of a blond girl with green eyes. Her face has an expresion of eternal agony :worrywhirl::worrywhirl:

Well, time to speak with Bad Vibes Darki:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

He mocks me and threatens me with lots of pain...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Oh, a Statused Mon. Probably some Guts Ursaring, Heracross or Swellow. For now, he leads with a Mega Houndoom. Furia Azul takes a Crunch and damages Houndoom hard with EQ.

I switch Eeveeto in, while Bad Vibes Darki switches Houndoom out, sending Obstagoon, which is the statused Mon.
Eeveeto protects from Facade.

I switch Mordisquin, but Facade does over half. A Mon needs to be sacked.

I sack Rocinante:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

RIP Rocinante. He was the Sack slot, but I expected him to do at least some damage.

I have no other option but to send Bloodhound. Band Extreme Speed KOs Obstagoon:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Hydreigon is next. Now I would have liked to have Rocinante, but unfortunately I don,t. So, I send Eeveeto to take Flamethrower.
Eeveeto protects.
Eeveeto takes another Flamethrower and uses Wish.
Eeveeto protects and heals.
Eeveeto takes Flamethrower and uses Wish.

That Hydreigon looks choiced and very dangerous. So, I switch Mordisquin to take Flamethrower and heal.

Bad Vibes Darki withdraws Hydreigon and sends another dangerous for my team Mon, a Corviknight into Superpower. Its very dangerous, because if it manages to use Bulk Up, I am done.

Bloodhound comes into Iron Head.
Bloodhound uses Brick Break and barely survives Brave Bird.
Bloodhound kills Corviknight:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Hydreigon comes back. I send Eeveeto...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

RIP Eeveeto. That monster used Outrage. I lose this way my most important Mon. And what is worse, I probably will lose at least another one, since I don,t have a way to outspeed that thing.
Gerania is my best option here. She takes Outrage and seeds Hydreigon, although the damage done is insane:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Mordisquin is sacked:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

RIP Mordisquin. Unlike Rocinante, he did something.

Furia Azul comes in while Hydreigon is confused finally. Despite that, Hydreigon manages to attack, though Furia Azul does survive a hit and strikes back with Hidden Power.
Hydreigon damages itself, so Furia Azul can put a Sub while the broken dragon is killed by Leech Seed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

A Gardevoir appears. It breaks Sub with Psychic and is damaged by Hidden Power. And now I need to choose the sack again. Unfortunately, without knowing the last Mon, it has to be Gerania this time:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

RIP Gerania. I probably will lose this battle, but this already is a very big disaster.

Bloodhound kills Gardevoir with Extreme Speed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Lycanroc Night is the last Mon. I have no option but to send Furia Azul into Dynamic Punch.
Furia Azul lives another hit and kills Lycanroc with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

"My hate will make me prevail. You will see it!" Well, his hate already destroyed my whole team. Furia Azul dies here, though I do win the battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

RIP Furia Azul. I would like the ability to see the future. If I knew Houndoom would use Sludge Bomb, I would have sent Bloodhound to take it.
Bloodhound becomes the only survivor of this battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

After losing Bad Vibes Darki tells me that all the Time Space distortion he is doing is to kill the villain Masuda, who is about to destroy the Pokemon Saga by creating Sinnoh, Alola and the Dexit. He asks me to stop Masuda:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

After that, I get the badge:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

But at what cost... My whole team has been torn appart, now I need to train a new one without having walls of Gerania and Eeveeto potential...At least the Level Cap dissapeared now and I can challenge the Micoliga.

Finishing the chapter here. Next one will take a while, for obvious reasons.

Super Wonderful Massacre!!!
Wonderful death of Umbreon

This is the kind of battle that I was hoping that would develop every once in a while, increasingly so as the run gets closer to the end of the game, but not too often too soon, or the nuzlocke run would be ruined.

Unfortunately, amazing battles like this one require saying goodbye to some of the best fighters throughout the run so far. Now, the whole team that beat the Elite4 and Champion Wallace is gone. We'll get to see what mons you surprise us with.

Chapter 107. A new beginning.

Time to start a new team from almost zero. It will be hard to do, since all my defensive sinergy used to rely on Eeveeto and Gerania, both of which are gone now.
First Mon I put will be the keystone of the new team, Aero (Aerodactyl). I expected to last a little longer without needing him, but the massacre of Darkizard forces me to use him now.
Despite them dying very fast, I still have 5 water types. I put a very offensive one, Superstar (Staryu).
I am quite good in the Grass type, department, since Gerania was the only one that I used for the majority of the run. On the other hand, I only have 3 Fairy types, so Whimsi (Cottonee) being the worst one, makes him a good candidate to be used now.
No Dark type will ever provide the amount of utility Eeveeto did, but there is one with very good defensive type and ability combination, though no Stats to back it up. I am speaking about Bubonica (Rattata).
Lastly, a fairy resist is needed too. I could use Prisrak or one of the 3 Grass Poisons I have, but all of them are better saved for later. Huesitos (Cubone) however, won,t last long anyway, so I will spend him now, given he has very good sinergy with Bubonica.

The training is long enough to catch a Shiny, and a pretty good one in Altering Cave:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

A steel and a water type at the same time. Empoleon is a very useful defensive Mon for Nuzlockes and this one has decent enough IVs.

This time I train the team all the way to level 100:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

This means I will be overleveled for a little while, but as seen vs Darkizard, that doesn,t make the situation safe.

Before the final part of the game beings, lets try to get some symbols with the new team. Round 1 of Battle Factory is harder this time than usually, but eventually my Gyarados, Cofagrigus and Perserrker prevail.
In round 2 I use Ledian, Vileplume and Mega Sharpedo, all of which are destroyed by Band Swalot.

In Battle Arena I use Aero, Superstar and Huesitos. Since I win 5 tournaments, I am once again 20 battles away from winning the symbol. Lets sum them up:
In Battle 1 Huesitos defeats Alcreamie and Superstar smashes a Charizard.
Battle 2 is a Surf SPAM.
Huesitos sweeps vs Zangoose and Ferrothorn in battle 3.
Battle 4 consists in Superstar spamming Thunderbolt vs Crawdaunt and Salamence.

I almost lose battle 5 for leading with Huesitos, who gets OHKOd by Specs Psychic from Exeggutor. Aero however manages to outstall the palm tree and flinch-hax Blissey.
In Battle 6 Superstar defeates Lycanroc Night, then gets killed by EQ from Metagross. Metagross turns out to be Rest + Double Team + Meteor Mash + EQ, so Aero ends up outstalling it, but its a very long battle. Metagross dies from Struggle at the end.
Battle 7 has 2 Fire types. With my current team, that is probably the worst type to use vs me.
In Battle 8 a Quick Claw Machamp activates his item and uses Knock Off vs Superstar. This actually helps me, because without Specs, Superstar can deal with the other Mon too, which is Gyarados.

In battle 9 Aero defeats an Exploud, then Huesitos quickly ends with a Double Team Tauros before he gets too many boosts.
Battle 10 is very close. Superstar does not KO Specs Wigglytuff and is OHKOd by Knock Off. Aero manages to outstall Knock Off, then kill a Seviper, then outstall Dazzling Gleam from Wiggly too, all this to miss Fly but survive the Struggle with just 6 HP:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

The opponent of battle 11 has 3 legends. Huesitos walls Zapdos and Superstar defeats Moltres.
An opposing Aerodactyl flinches Superstar in battle 12, but Aero is faster in the mirror match. Unfortunately Alolan Sub-Punch Muk proves to be too much for Aero and I lose here.

At Battle Tower I had high hopes with the team, but only got 41 wins. Metagross + Snorlax + Slaking proved to be too bulky and powerful at the same time.

In Battle Palace I use Bloodhound instead of Huesitos. At battle 15 all the team decides to not attack a Sharpedo who does attack every turn.

Huesitos comes back in Battle Pike and I get to round 5, in which Aero misses Fly vs Decidueye and then I have another battle without healing, in which Superstar misses Surf vs Ninetales, Mega Houndoom being the other Mon.

Finally in Battle Arena Bloodhound comes again as the third Mon. I win 26 battles, in the 27th a Vikavolt lives Rock Slide and then activates Quick Claw vs Superstar. Bloodhound finishes it with Extreme Speed, but then has a painful lose vs a Meganium with Leech Seed + Synthesis. Its so unfair to be defeated by my favorite starter!

The new team didn,t bring me any new symbols, though the results have been pretty good everywhere. Now lets see what awaits me at Micolandia. I head to the final building, meeting a woman disguised as Snorlax on the way:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

There is a guard in the entrance of Micoliga:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

He tells me that the building has many places:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

He admits that I have defeated all the Gym leaders but still challenges me to a battle in order to enter to Micoliga:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

I did the right thing in raising my team to level 100. His only Mon has level 100 too and its a Krookodile.
By using Protect + Substitute twice, Aero stalls all Stone Edge PPs from Krookodile.
However, Krookodile has Knock Off too and it actually breaks Substitute. So, after protecting once more, Aero uses Fly... and almost dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Aero protects once again.

Then I send Whimsi. Krookodile reveals Crunch this turn.
Whimsi protects from another Crunch. If Krookodile had Sludge Bomb or Iron Tail, it would already have revealed it, so there is no danger.
Krookodile survives one Giga Drain, but not the second:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Despite only having one Mon, Topo has been pretty dangerous, almost destroying the most important Mon of the new team in the first battle with him:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Finishing the chapter here, tomorrow I will see the horrors that await me in Micoliga.

Chapter 108. Classic casino hideout.

I finally enter the Micoliga. At the entrance I have a Casino, so the obvious step is to look what prizes do we have here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

That are some juicy prizes. Of course, I can only buy one. Catermano is likely a trap, there is no mention of it in the document. In Midele Red Catermano was a powerful Mon, but in Midele Crystal it was just a Caterpie that learned Midele Power but couldn,t evolve. Probably he has been given the same treatment here. Between Wintass and Dark Pika the best choice is obviously Dark Pika, so that is what I buy:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Well, here is the most broken Mon in the game. I will probably only use it in the very last battle though (unless almost all my Mons end up dying before). The IVs are good, especially where they are needed (Speed and Special Attack).

Now, lets explore the rest of the place and speak with the NPCs:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

This one tells me that I don,t look good enough and that Micolo will easily defeat me.

Oh, look who we have here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Maxie and Archie have been given asylum by Micolo and now are spending their time betting at Micocasino. Funny thing is, Maxie always bets Blue and Archie Red.

Also, the guy on the left is not Shiyo, but another Pxp user that has a problem with gambling :

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

By the way, this is Dark Pika's Pokedex Entry:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

There is another dude that sells some tickets for 50K:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Yes, if I used legendary Mons, I could have caught now Ho-oh, Lugia, Mew and Deoxys.

At the Vending Machine there are also some useful items:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

With all the room explored, where can I go now? Well, at every Pokemon game I play, I always check every trash bin, which ends up being a useful trait here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

He has vomited in the bin after drinking too much and kicked it, opening a secret door. Time to explore it!

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

So, here we have a secret laboratory. At the PCs there is some Micolo lore about his plans of taking over the world. And who is the dude?

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

He complains about Pachochef leaving the door open. He says that his job is to stop me, but since there are many strong trainers regardless, he will leave me to them.

I then enter the next room and am challenged by a trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

The battle is a double one. My leads are Aero and Superstar, Goldie leads with Sudowoodo and Espeon. Aero protects while Espeon uses Helping Hand. Sudowoodo doesn,t get to attack, since Superstar OHKOs with Surf (Espeon survives in red):

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Goldie is lying, Reshiram is not in this game. What is in the game however is a f***ing Hydreigon that appears next. I switch out both Aero and Superstar, sending Bubonica and Whimsi. Espeon uses Helping Hand again, so Whimsi ends up very damaged by Dark Pulse.
Whimsi protects from both Dark Pulse and Psychic, while Bubonica kills Espeon:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Next opponent is a Charizard, which means that I need to sack something, since I know both opponents will now attack Whimsi. I try to Protect it again, but it fails. Whimsi lives Dark Pulse, but not the Heat Wave:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

RIP Whimsi. Double Battles are the worst at this point of the game.
I send Aero while Bubonica paralyzes Charizard with Thunder Wave.
Aero protects while Bubonica paralyzes Hydreigon. Both Hydreigon and Charizard attack Aero.
Aero puts a Sub. Bubonica misses Super Fang. Hydreigon breaks the Sub and Charizard burns Aero with Fire Blast, which makes the battle much harder, since I need 100% to preserve Aero.
Aero protects. Bubonica damages Charizard with Return. Both opponents still focus on Aero, they know its my current best Mon, especially for Single battles.

Time for another sack. I switch Aero out and send Huesitos right into Dark Pulse:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

RIP Huesitos. Fuck Hydreigon.
Worst thing is that due to Adv mechanics I can,t send Bloodhound this turn, since he would be obliterated by Charizard. So, Superstar is my only option, taking Dragon Claw.
Superstar kills Hydreigon with Ice Beam:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_31.png

Gordie sends a Corviknight while Bubonica finishes Charizard:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_32.png

Last Mon is a Galarian Stunfisk. Both Superstar and Bubonica attack Corviknight (with Ice Beam and Super Fang), who uses Bulk Up. Stunfisk reveals a feature from the newest version of the game, it has Protean as the ability (it used to have only Color Change, Mimicry isn,t in the game). Both Superstar and Bubonica are heavily damaged. I probably will lose one Mon or both next turn.
However I am lucky. Superstar freezes Stunfisk. Bubonica uses Rest, waking up with Chesto Berry. Corviknight attack Bubonica with Brave Bird, dying from recoil:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_33.png

If Stunfisk could attack, both Bubonica and Superstar would have died on the spot. However, he doesn,t thaw and dies from Ice Beam next turn:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_34.png

The final part of Midele games is always very tough, and the trainers don,t even have a full team of level 100 Mons. Goldie didn,t need level 100 to do big damage to my team:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_35.png

Finishing the chapter here with a big hate on Hydreigon (and respect for Bubonica, who takes hits like a champ).

Chapter 109. Dooming the Dome.

Building teams is becoming increasingly dificult, especially since I want to preserve the best Mons until the very end. For now, I pick Nephentes (Victreebel) and Dumbo (Phanpy). This does mean that Specs Hydreigon (and dragons in general) will continue being a big threat, but in Single battles I can afford sacking one Mon and PP Stalling them with Aero.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

At the very beginning of the training, I find a Shiny in the Mirage Island:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Both variants of Raichu have merits. Alolan one has a second typing + Swift Swim in this game. Meanwhile, Kanto Raichu is a fast Encore user with an immunity to Electric. This one is not fast though, and has bad IVs in general.

After the training, Battle Frontier time. Despite using a weather core of Ninetales and Leafeon (+Dusknoir), I somehow lose on first round of Battle Factory to Explosion SPAM + Specs Kingdra.

Once again, I get to win 5 tours in Battle Dome with Aero, Superstar and Nephentes. Time to see if I can win 20 more battles:
In battle 1 Aero eats a Monobug.
In battle 2 Superstar loses to Sdef Drapion, but Aero manages to outstall it and defeat a Bewear too.
Aero loses to a Kangaskhan in battle 3, but weakens it enough for Superstar to sweep with Thunderbolt (second Mon was a Feraligatr).
In battle 4 Supestar kills a Charizard, then loses to Lapras, who in turn loses to Nephentes.

In battle 5 Nephentes kills a Lycanroc, then gets burned by Fire Blast from Nidoking. Superstar still wins.
Battle 6 is a hard one. I lead with Nephentes and sleep Bewear. It still wakes up and damages Superstar before dying. Superstar then loses to Electivire, but Nephentes wins due to Focus Sash.
Nephentes kills lead Quagsire of battle 7, but then loses to a dangerous Lickilicky, which Aero can,t fully outstall due to it having 4 Moves that break Sub and not being choiced. Fortunately, it ends up exploding on a Sub.
Battle 8 is Thunderbolt SPAM from Superstar.

Battle 9 is Psychic SPAM.
The match-up of battle 10 is dangerous, since there is a Regice. Fortunately, the trainer uses the other 2 Mons instead, Mega Pidgeot and Ampharos. Aero OHKOs the first and outstalls Thunderbolt PPs from the second, so Superstar wins.
Battle 11 is Leaf Blade SPAM. A Dewgong survives one hit, but its slower than Nephentes.
Nephentes wins vs Blastoise in battle 12, Superstar murders Machamp.

8 battles left, this is already my best run. Superstar wins vs both Tentacruel and Sandaconda in battle 13. Nephentes was sacked vs the snake.
In battle 14 Superstar needs Aero sack to defeat both Honchkrow and Kangaskhan.
Aero kills lead Zard in battle 15. A scary Quick Claw Lickilicky defeats him then, but doesn,t activate the item vs Superstar.
Nephentes sweeps through Swampert and Ludicolo in battle 16, despite being frozen vs the second.

An Electrode (very dangerous Mon) explodes on Nephentes in battle 17, then Superstar OHKOs Gyarados.
Superstar defeats Alcremie in battle 18, Aero eats a Parasect.
Last battle before Tucker is a Surf SPAM.
Tucker himself looks really hard:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Gathering information about Tucker from previous battles reveals me the 2 most obvious moves from his team: Meteor Mash and Earthquake. My only option to win this match-up is to KO something with Superstar and then PP Stall the other Mon with Aero.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Tucker leads with Swampert. Not the worst lead for me, Latias + Metagross combination would have been more scary. Though I might regret not bringing Nephentes.
Superstar damages Swampert with Surf and survives Earthquake.
Next Surf KOs Swampert:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Metagross is the other Mon. This means Superstar can do decent damage before falling. In fact, Superstar doesn,t fall and crits instead:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Finally, another symbol, 5 left. Not the most fair way to win, but we take those. I don,t know the sets of that Metagross, but the only options for Tucker to win vs Aero were Quick Claw, Agility or multiple high PPs moves without being choiced ( Meteor Mash, Rock Slide, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Thunder Punch or Ice Punch).

With 10 Tournaments won, I want to see how many more I can win with this team (since I won,t be returning to this facility from now). The answer ends up being 0. In the Semifinals of the next Tournament, an offensive Dusknoir with Shadow Ball + Brick Break + Shadow Sneak can,t be outstalled by Aero or defeated by Superstar, so I lose to him. At least the final number of Tournaments won ends up being 69:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

At Battle Tower I only get 20 wins. Aero missed Fly vs Decidueye in the losing battle that then went downhill.

One more win I get at Battle Palace with Nephentes, Superstar and Bloodhound. Flygon, Alolan Ninetales and Bisharp end the streak.

At Battle Pike I use Aero, Superstar and Dumbo. I lose in round 4 after getting 5 battles in a row without healing.

Nephentes comes back at battle Arena, but I only win 9 battles here, weather + Castform is too much.

So, after getting a Symbol, I go back to Micolandia and challenge the next trainer of the Hideout, who wants to Ban me:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

As the Red theme sounds, Hathar leads with Venusaur. However, he withdraws it vs Aero, sending an Umbreon instead while Aero puts a Sub.

Now, Aero could easily outstall Umbreon, but I fear Batton Pass strategies, so I send Bloodhound into Dark Pulse.
Bloodhound kills Umbreon with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Dangerous Infernape appears. I send Superstar into Seismic Punch.
Infernape survives Psychic with Focus Sash but misses Stone Edge.
Superstar kills Infernape:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Magnezone is next. I send Dumbo into Thunderbolt.
Magnezone puts Sub that is broken by Earthquake.
Magnezone puts another Sub that is broken too.
Magnezone tries again and fails again.
Magnezone doesn,t change the move and freely loses more HP.
Magnezone finally attacks with a neutral Hidden Power, probably Fire. Dumbo takes it and kills Zone with EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Lead Venusaur comes back. Dumbo protects from Sleep Powder.

Bubonica switches into Leech Seed, which misses.
Bubonica paralyzes Venusaur, who uses Sleep Powder. Chesto Berry activates.
Bubonica damages Venusaur with Super Fang and is finally slept.

Nephentes freely comes into Leech Seed.
Nephentes damages Venusaur with Hidden Power. Venusaur can,t move.
Nephentes kills Venusaur:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Kingdra appears, which is very scary. It uses Ice Beam and Nephentes misses Sleep Powder.

Bubonica takes the next Ice Beam.
Kingdra uses Outrage.
Kingdra uses Outrage again. Bubonica survives but is still asleep. Time to sack something.

Nephentes comes back as Kingdra damages itself.
Kingdra damages itself again and is slept.

I switch Bloodhound in.
Kingdra reveals to be faster than Bloodhound but doesn,t wake up. Brick Break KOs:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Last Mon is an Aerodactyl. It uses Dragon Dance while I switch Dumbo in.
Aerodactyl boosts again and is hit by Rock Slide.
Dumbo protects , but Aerodactyl boosts one more time.
Aerodactyl attacks and +3 Double Edge... doesn,t actually do much. Dumbo wins the battle with Rock Slide:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

No casualties this time, although the Kingdra was close to achieve them. Finishing the chapter here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Chapter 110. Hideout exploration.

After healing, next thing I do is to speak with the other character that can be seen from the entrance of Micolo Hideout. He tells me something that I already know:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

This is the Micolo meeting room. The most powerful trainers of the game gather around here. This dude recommends me to leave before I am 6-0d by someone.

Time to challenge next trainer, who I already met in this game:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Addri leads with Espeon. Aero protects from Psychic.
Aero puts Sub while Espeon uses Light Screen.
Aero protects from Psychic.
Aero uses Fly. Espeon uses Dazzling Gleam twice, breaking the Sub.
Aero protects from Psychic. Light Screen ends.
Aero kills Espeon with a crit Rock Slide, which was not needed:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Lucario is next. I send Dumbo into Meteor Mash.

Addri withdraws Lucario and sends Swampert into Earthquake.
Dumbo protects from Surf.

I switch Nephentes into the next Surf.

Predicting Leaf Blade, Addri switches Swampert out and sends... Hydreigon. Does everyone in this room have one?

I send Bubonica into Outrage... which does less than half, lol.
Bubonica takes another Outrage and goes to sleep, waking up with Chesto Berry. Hydreigon gets confused but heals with Persim Berry.
Hydreigon uses Outrage again and is paralyzed.

Bloodhound comes in, taking as many (in percentage) damage as Bubonica.
Bloodhound KOs Hydreigon with Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Chandelure is next. Bubonica takes Flametrhower.
Bubonica takes another Flamethrower and paralyzes the lamp.
Bubonica uses Rest, taking another Flamethrower.

Addri sends Lucario while Bubonica sleeps.

I switch Dumbo into Brick Break.

Addri switches Swampert to take Earthquake.
Dumbo protects from Surf.

Nephentes takes the next Surf.

Addri switches Lucario in to take Leaf Blade.

Dumbo comes back into Earthquake.
This time Lucario stays and uses Meteor Mash, dying from EQ.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Swampert is still there. Dumbo protects.

Nephentes comes back into Surf. He is already pretty damaged but can probably take another one.
Not needed though, Swampert stays and dies:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Paralyzed Chandelure is back. Bubonica takes Flamethrower.
Addri withdraws Chandelure and sends his last Mon, a Eelektross. I don,t have a clue about how to deal with that thing without losing a Mon.
Bubonica paralyzes Eelektross, who gets healed with Lum Berry... and uses Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

RIP Bubonica. I didn,t expect much from her, but as special wall she was really good.

I have no other option but to send Aero. He protects from Thunderbolt.
Aero uses Sub, being broken by Thunderbolt.
Aero protects.
Aero puts Sub, broken by Thunderbolt.
Aero protects.
Aero puts Sub, broken by Thunderbolt.
Aero protects.
Aero puts Sub, broken by Thunderbolt.
Aero protects.
Aero puts Sub, broken by Thunderbolt.
Aero protects. Eelektross uses Crunch this time. However, it still should have 4 Thunderbolts left (2 if we consider Pressure).
Aero puts Sub, broken by Crunch.
Aero protects, Eelektross uses Thunderbolt.
Aero uses the last possible Sub, broken by Crunch.
Aero protects. Eelektross uses the last Thunderbolt.

The strat of outstalling Eelektross still probably requires me to sack a Mon or even 2. I send Dumbo into Crunch.
Dumbo protects from Flamethrower.
Dumbo takes Crunch, which drops Sdef, and uses Toxic. Lets see if I can avoid losing another Mon or not...
Dumbo protects from Flamethrower.

I send Superstar. It takes Crunch, but lives. No more Mons of my team will die in this battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

Until the Eelektross appeared, the battle looked pretty easy, but after Bubonica's death, the team ended up very damaged:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Before leaving the hideout, I explore what I can, without challenging more trainers. I find this:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

The upper left PC gives information about new Moves added in this game: Hola Reina, Brutal Ball, Dark Thunder, Seismic Punch and Midele Power. The upper right PC provides nothing useful. Neither does lower left PC but at least its funny:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

It doesn,t work because someone kicked it. The lower right PC is information about Honedge Monado.

There is more:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Its a letter that confirms that Magma Team was the one that provided the machines that Micolo used to dry part of the sea routes.

Oh, and what is this?

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

Well, this does make the training faster. Normally I train my Mons once per route (until they get down to red range or lose all PPs) in which I haven,t caught a Shiny yet and after I am done with those, I use the Cheryl Grind Battle Mode for the remaining levels. Now I don,t need Cheryl anymore.

Upper 2 PCs of this section are broken with Jump Kick too. Lower left PC is cost information about every building and infrastructure that Micolo has. Lower right PC says that it heals my Mons...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

I don,t believe so, though. In Midele Crystal there was a similar PC that instead of healing triggered a battle vs level 100 Mewtwo.

Well, all possible exploration has been done. Now I need to replace the fallen Bubonica. I choose the worst Dark type out of the many that I still have, Vorona (Murkrow) and finish the chapter here.

Lower right PC says that it heals my Mons...

View attachment 413851

I don,t believe so, though. In Midele Crystal there was a similar PC that instead of healing triggered a battle vs level 100 Mewtwo.
You are mixing two PCs from Midele Crystal. There was a PC that triggered a battle against a level 100 Mewtwo, but it said something else. Then, after a very long, painful travel through a large underground place guarded by tough trainers and scattered by uncatchable level 100 wild legendary mons, there was a PC that said, just as this one: Would you like to heal your POKéMON? and if you chose Yes, you were simply answered: Then go to a POKéMON Center. And, of course, it was a long way back to the center.

Maybe this PC does not work like the second one. There is only one way to know. (Well, you might as well check the source code, decompile the ROM, or ask someone)

This new PC really heal your Pokemon, only Crystal have troll PCs

Chapter 111. The revenge of Kaderete.

Like the last time, at the very beginning of the training, I find a shiny in New Mauville. It almost forces me to use one of the 2 Masterballs I have, but I end up catching it with one of the last Time Balls:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Has one immunity, so its good. I don,t have many good grounds left, so Mons like this one will be useful in the future.

I evolve Vorona soon after that (was waiting for her to learn Dark Pulse):

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

After the training, I go to Battle Frontier. In round 1 I use Skarmory, Donphan and Dewgong losing quite quickly vs Mr. Mime, Houndoom and Altaria.

In Battle Tower I use Aero, Dumbo and Superstar. I get only 16 wins this time, losing to Band Dhelmise + Scarf Lycanroc Night + Weepinbell.

In Battle Palace I use Aero, Superstar and Nephentes. The result is even worse here, with just 10 wins. In battle 11, I defeated 2 Mons without taking damage, then all my team decided to spare the life of Seviper, who swept.

In Battle Pike the team does much better. I get all the way to round 7 where I finally lose vs Gengar + Porygon-Z. Non-choiced Bolt-Beam Mons were the main threat for the team and 2 of them are too much to handle.

At the Arena, I use Superstar, Aero and Bloodhound. With 45 wins, it became my best run, but still fell short of the 56 needed. In the losing battle, Superstar won against Mega Glalie, but then Lickilicky landed 2 Shadow Ball hits in a row, defeating both Superstar and Aero. Last Mon was Swampert, which Bloodhound could not win against.

No symbols again, so its time to challenge the next trainer of Micolo Hideout:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

I have already battled Kaderete, last time he just had a level 24 Haunter. This time he leads with Mandibuzz, so Aero puts Sub, blocking Toxic.

As Aero tries to Protect, Kaderete withdraws Mandibuzz and sends Milotic.
Aero protects from Ice Beam.
Aero uses Fly, getting the Sub broken with Ice Beam.

Superstar gets in while Milotic heals with Recover.
Superstar damages Milotic with Thunderbolt and avoids Toxic.
Superstar kills Milotic:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Magmortar comes next. I switch Dumbo into Thunderbolt.

Kaderete withdraws Magmortar and sends Gengar into EQ.
Well, my only option is Vorona, who takes Ice Punch, but...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Vorona tries to protect but its frozen. Gengar uses Thunderbolt:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

RIP Vorona.
It was the sack slot, but its still sad to lose her in the first battle.

I look at Superstar speed. Level 100 Gengar would outspeed due to just 18 speed IVs. 94 one however is slower and doesn,t have Focus Sash, so Psychic just KOs:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

Magmortar is back. And so is Dumbo, ready to take Thunderbolt.

Kaderete withdraws Magmortar and sends Mandibuzz, right into Toxic.
Dumbo protects from Toxic.

Bloodhound switches into the next Toxic.
Bloodhound damages Mandibuzz with Brick Break and loses the Band due to Knock Off.

Kaderete switches Mandibuzz out and sends Metagross.

Bloodhound has EQ, but I am still not sure that Metagross will die from it. Bloodhound certainly won,t live an EQ. So, the save play is to bring Dumbo into EQ.
Dumbo takes Iron Head and kills Metagross with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Magmortar is back again. Dumbo protects... from Hidden Power. So, Water, Grass or Ice?

I send Bloodhound, the Hidden Power is resisted, so no water.

Magmortar escapes from death once again and level 100 Electrode is sent instead, dying from EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_27.png

Magmortar comes back. Bloodhound at this point is weak enough to be KOd by Specs Thunderbolt. However, Magmortar can use Flamethrower too and Dumbo would die. What is the solution?

Nephentes is the solution. He survives Flamethrower with Focus Sash.

Now, Superstar comes safely into the next Flamethrower.
Magmortar turns out to be Scarf but doesn,t crit, so the battle ends here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_28.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_29.png

Tough battle. Vorona's death was hard to avoid even without the freeze, though I am sure that with Protect + Leftovers recovery, Max Sdef and Max HP investment would have allowed to live that Thunderbolt, paralyze Gengar and maybe kill with Dark Pulse. This is how the team survived:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_30.png

Before I finish the chapter, I will show the remaing part of the meeting room:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_31.png

Chapter 112. Average Probopass enjoyer.

As the new Dark type, I put Lodoso (Alolan Grimer) in the team and train him:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

After the training, I go to Battle Factory, where my Dodrio, Marowak and Shuckle (there were no better options) lose in the second battle.

At Battle Tower I use Aero, Dumbo and Lodoso. I manage to stall only 20 battles, in the 21 one Mega Altaria, Dragapult and Nidoking with a lot of hax break through my team.

At Battle Towe I use Aero, Lodoso and Superstar. I only get 3 wins here, Quick Claw Hippopotas with Fissure + Toxic destroyed the whole team.

With the same team, I win 3 rounds of Battle Pike, losing in the 4th one. Sub-Punch Miltank is one of the worst enemies of Aero and the Feraligatr + Scarf Slaking partners didn,t help.

Battle Arena doesn,t work either. At battle 22, a Sandaconda defeats both Aero and Lodoso. Then Alakazam finishes Superstar.

Time to defeat another Micolo Hideout trainer:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

Merúm, moderator in Pxp and Probopass fan. In fact, he told be before the battle that he would hit me for not using Probopass. His lead is a dangerous Wintass though. I swith Aero out for Superstar, who takes 2 Rock Blasts.
Wintass uses Mach Punch before dying to Psychic:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Merúm tries to trick me into closing the game:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

Dhelmise is next. Damn, another very dangerous Mon. I need to sack Nephentes here.
After taking Shadow Ball, Nephentes uses Hidden Power Fire, but Dhelmise lives and attacks with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

RIP Nephentes. He was a sack slot since long ago and survived more than expected.
Superstar comes in and kills Dhelmise with Ice Beam:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

Fuck, the next is Eelektross. Will Merúm stop using bulky and strong Mons? Lodoso takes Thunderbolt.
Eelektross paralyzes Lodoso with Thunder Wave and is damaged by Sludge Bomb.
Eelektross uses Thunderbolt again and is poisoned by Sludge Bomb, but has Lum Berry.

Merúm withdraws Eelektross and sends Dragalge.

I switch Bloodhound in, getting very damaged by Outrage.
Bloodhound kills Dragalge with Earthquake:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Of course, the next Mon is Reuniclus. Lodoso likes this one though, and switches into Psychic.
Reuniclus boosts with CM. Lodoso can,t move.
Reuniclus gets to +2. Lodoso still can,t move. This looks dire.
Reuniclus gets to +3. The yellow magic is still here.
Reuniclus gets to +4. Lodoso finally gets to use Curse.
Reuniclus gets to +5. Lodoso poisons it with Sludge Bomb.
Reuniclus damages Lodoso hard with Ice Punch. Lodoso can,t move.
Reuniclus heals but gets back to yellow with Sludge Bomb.
Reuniclus heals again but Lodoso manages to attack.
Lodoso survives Ice Punch from Reuniclus, but Reuniclus also lives Sludge Bomb + poison damage.

Despite knowing that I will probably regret it, I send Dumbo into +5 Ice Punch. He survives with Sturdy. Reuniclus dies from poison:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Eelektross comes back. I have no switch-in for it this time. Delaying the inevitable, Dumbo protects.
Eelektross is faster and crits:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

RIP Dumbo. In the end it was a matter of choice. I prefered Lodoso to survive.

Knowing the last Mon or Merúm, there is a 50% chance that Bloodhound will die too. For now, Eelektross is the one who dies from Brick Break:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Ok, now lets see what logic did Merúm apply when building this team. If he applied Competitive Pokemon logic, his Probopass has Magnet Pull. However, if he wanted to be anti-Nuzlockes, Sturdy is the ability. There is only one way to know...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

RIP Bloodhound. Unfortunately, Merúm decided that being anti-Nuzlocke is the way and the Probopass had Sturdy and killed Bloodhound with Iron Head.

Superstar finishes the tragic battle:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Well, that was very hard. Very bulky and strong Mons with high PP Moves prevented Aero to be useful at all, making the rest of the team get extra pressure. The result are 3 deaths. I had the option to choose which 3 Mons died, but not to avoid any of them:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Finishing the chapter here.

There are two things that are really intriguing for me at this point.

The first one is the fact that, while in Eeveeto's runs of Midele Crystal and Midele Red, Nephentes (Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel) was a key member of the team in the early run, before the Elite 4, here in Midele Emerald it has been demoted to cannon fodder. Not sure on how much this is a consequence of the lower bulkiness of the mons due to the limit on EVs and stuff, and how much it might be explained by the extra bulkiness and speed that a slight overlevel provides at the beginning of the game.

The second one is the uncannily large fraction of mons mentioned throughout this sixth page of the topic that have already been lost. This is the necessary consequence of the increasingly challenging battles, and it is reasonable to expect this to keep going further up, as the trainers' mons are still mostly around level 95. Not sure if you should start to seriously consider getting as good a team as possible, it might be too soon and you might risk losing more valuable mons for the final Micoliga, but the remaining trainers guarding its entrance have a considerable chance each one to be highly challenging too, as it is being already hinted.

Chapter 113. Surviving the khamaseen.

Redoing the team is my current goal. The next Steel I use is pretty bad one, Poligodrac (Duraludon). I have 4 grounds left, but prefer to use Pilo (Elekid) instead. Lastly, for the Grass slot and physical wall I use Calabazin (Pumpkaboo).

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

After the training I go to Battle Frontier, where I quickly lose in Battle Factory in the second battle.

Battle Tower doesn,t go much better. Aero, Superstar and Pilo lose in battle 19 vs Sableye, Masquerain and Ivysaur.

In Battle Palace the team gets 20 wins, then collapses to my own Aerodactyl set (Sub, Protect, Fly and Rock Slide).

In Battle Pike I try to Stall with Aero, Lodoso and Calabazin, but Wintass defeats Aero and puts Spikes at the same time, so his teammates finish me.

Superstar, Pilo and Aero try to achieve the golden symbol at Battle Arena, but a corrupt referee in battle 29 doesn,t let them do it.

So, its time to face the next trainer at Micolo Hideout. Hopefully, I will avoid casualties this time...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

My hopes of avoiding loses fade away when I hear the Cynthia pre-battle theme and see a lead Tyranitar. This will be a very painful battle with Sandstorm. I send Superstar to take Rock Slide.
Superstar KOs Tyranitar with Surf:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

Time to sack Mons. A Honedge appears. I have no counter for this and Superstar must be sacked:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

RIP Superstar. No more swift OHKOs with Specs.
Despite being weak to ghost, Calabazin is my only hope. Honedge uses Sword Dance and is burned.
Calabazin lives Shadow Ball and kills Honedge with his own:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Cloyster with Overcoat is what Alpha sends next. I switch Poligodrac into Ice Beam, which does a lot of damage.
Poligodrac protects.
Poligodrac kills Cloyster with Thunderbolt:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

Torterra appears. Poligodrac protects.
Aero switches into the next Earthquake.
Aero puts Sub, broken by Iron Head.
Aero protects.

Pilo takes the next Iron Head.
Pilo uses Ice Punch... and Torterra lives it:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

RIP Pilo. Torterra deserved more the OU Status in DPP than Electivire.
With Hidden Power Fire, Poligodrac kills Torterra:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

Reuniclus is next. This time Lodoso is not paralyzed before facing it at least. He takes Fire Punch while switching in.
Lodoso uses Curse and takes another Fire Punch.
Lodoso takes another Fire Punch and poisons Reuniclus with Sludge Bomb.
Reuniclus uses another Fire Punch and gets to red from Sludge Bomb.
Reuniclus heals and so does Lodoso, with Rest.
Reuniclus uses Thunder Punch... So it does not have CM...

This means Lodoso can freely boost up to +6 and then kill Reuniclus:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

Last is a Skarmory. Even at +6, Lodoso can,t OHKO the bird with Brick Break and is phazed out. Calabazin is dragged in.

Poligodrac comes in while Skarmory puts Spikes.
Poligodrac finishes the battle with Thunderbolt:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

Alpha gives a lot (58200) of money after losing, but that doesn,t compensate the 2 deaths. The battles really are becoming increasingly hard:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

The only good thing from this battle is seeing that opponents are already using Honedge. This means that Lodoso will get Brick Break replaced by Shadow Ball. Finishing the chapter here.

Chapter 114. Registealer.

As the new water I bring Slow Pro (Slowpoke) to the team. Since I also need a Ground type, I put Sidewinder (Silicobra). And to get advantage of the Sand Sidewinder brings, I remove Calabazin from the team and pick Dogga (Herdier). Time to train them all:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_01.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_02.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_03.png

During the training, I catch a shiny in the Santygrass Gym:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_04.png

Another Grass type added to the many I have at the PC already (and not a single one used at the moment). It has been buffed with Nanab Berry (boosts Attack and Spedd x1,5 when held) but I don,t think that could be relevant at this point.

Battle Frontier time. After losing several times in Round 1 in Battle Factory, I finally win it with Nidoking, Salamence and Typhlosion, without even needing to swap.
In Round 2 I swap a lot, ending up with Espeon, Heracross and Alolan Marowak. Hard round, but I make through it.
In round 3 I use another Espeon, and another Salamence, last Mon being Gardevoir. A rain team with Politoed and Intelleon defeats me at the last battle.

At Battle Tower I use Sidewinder, Lodoso and Dogga. I only win 14 battles here, I had to sack Sidewinder vs Frosmoth and then a Wigglytugg with Sing + Fake Tears weakened my team enough for Linoone to sweep.

At Battle Palace the team does slightly better. I end up missplaying with switching vs Band Aggron + Specs Altaria, losing in battle 22.

At Battle Pike I sub Lodoso out for Aero. I lose at round 3 when a Politoed uses Perish Song in a Double Battle and I can,t kill quick enough.

Not much better I do in Battle Pike, getting 15 wins. A Kanto Persian kills Sidewinder with Water Pulse, an Alolan variant defeats Dogga and Piloswine finishes Aero.

So, since I get no symbols again, I go to Micolo Hideout to challenge the next trainer... which is not even there. Only a Mew remains, blocking the entrance to the next room, but Mew doesn,t battle and has a note instead:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_05.png

"I went to route 110 with your cousin. If you want to pass, find me." The note is signed by A.Vader, one of the most dangerous trainers in Midele games (in fact, he finished the Midele Red run).

I have no idea who my cousin is, but at least I know where to go. In route 110 I find a new island:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_06.png

However, no one is on the island. The game gives no clue about what to do here, but Shiyo tells me that I need to open the Sealed chamber.

Searching the Sealed chamber I find another legend:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_07.png

I get into the Sealed Chamber without problems. Dogga uses Dig in the first room. At the second, I just put 2 dead Mons in the team (Celacanto the Relicanth and Kit the Wailord), one last service they can do for me.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_08.png

Back at route 110, the chamber located there is open now:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_09.png

I entered Mauville Ruins this way. There, A.Vader awaits me:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_10.png

He tells me what legend lives here:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_11.png

After complaining about Regieleki and Regidrago having no sense to exist (since they don,t share many characteristics with the Hoenn Regi trio), A.Vader tells me what the braille code wants me to do:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_12.png

"Present the electric Mon that lights a lighthouse". Well, its an Ampharos.

I do have a dead Ampharos named Amphy, so I bring it here. The door opens and I see a badly drawn Regieleki inside:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_13.png

But when I try to challenge the legend, A.Vader comes inside, thanking me for doing the dirty job:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_14.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_15.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_16.png

After laughing at me, A.Vader goes back to Micolandia, where I assume there will be no more Mew blocking the way.

The way in Micolo Hideout is indeed open, so I enter the next room... which is a laboratory. I am challenged by a trainer close to the entrance:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_17.png

Pokemon Midele Emerald_18.png

Utalawea leads with a dangerous Parasect. The one time Aero is not the lead and Slow Pr0 instead.... I send Poligodrac while Parasect boosts with Double Team.
Poligodrac uses Hidden Power Fire... dealing just a little over a half to the Parasect. That Big Mushroom is certainly useful. Parasect boosts again.
Poligodrac misses Hidden Power and gets slept.
Parasect boosts again.
Parasect uses Leech Seed while Poligodrac is still asleep.

I send Aero while Parasect gets to +4.
Aero puts Sub, blocking Leech Seed.

Aero flies... but Utalwea withdraws Parasects and sends Metagross to take the Fly.
Aero protects from Psychic.
Aero uses Fly again, getting the Sub broken.
Aero protects. Metagross finally reveals Meteor Mash.

Sidewinder takes the next Meteor Mash, triggering the Sandstorm. Of course Metagross gets the attack boost.
Sidewinder paralyzes Metagross with Glare but gets to red from Psychic.
Sidewinde uses Rest and wakes up with Chesto Berry, taking a neutral Hidden Power.
Sidewinder uses EQ and gets back to red from Psychic.
Sidewinder kills Metagross with EQ:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_19.png

Krookodile is next. Of course my Mons have to suffer Sandstorm while the oppossing ones don,t. I send Slow Pro into EQ.
Krookodile uses another EQ and lives Surf.

I switch Dogga in, taking a lot of damage.
Dogga kills Krookodile with Return:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_20.png

Now, when I don,t have a Fairy resist, a Primarina appears. I am lucky and it uses Energy Ball as I send Lodoso.
Primarina uses Hydro Pump and survives Sludge Bomb in Torrent range. Lodoso will die from the next Hydro. And probably everyone will die, even Poligodrac.

I send Poligodrac anyway...

Pokemon Midele Emerald_21.png

RIP Poligodrac.
Not very effective my ass.
Dogga kills Primarina with Return.

Pokemon Midele Emerald_22.png

Finally some relief, Parasect comes back. This is a free switch-in to Aero, though he does get asleep.
Instead of using Leech Seed, Parasect boosts with Double Team.
Next turn Parasect uses Leech Life. Unfortunately I see that even this move will break Sub.
Parasect uses Double Team again.
Aero wakes up and uses Protect while Parasect boosts again.
Aero uses Sub, that surprisingly lives Leech Life.
Aero protects.
Aero uses Fly and hits despite the Evasion boosts, killing Parasect:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_23.png

Dusknoir is next, with Leftovers of course. Aero protects and Dusknoir uses Double Team.
Aero uses Rock Slide. Dusknoir Stalls 3 more PPs of the move with Spite.
Aero protects from Spite.
Aero crits and flicnhes with Rock Slide.
Aero uses Fly. Dusknoir uses Rest and Sleep Talk, eating 2 Fly PPs. Ok, now I know all the moves from Dusknoir.

This means I can send Slow Pro.
As Dusknoir boosts again, Slow Pro heals with Slack Off.

I switch Lodoso while Dusknoir gets to +3.
Lodoso uses Rest. Dusknoir boosts again.
Dusknoir boosts 2 more times while Lodoso burns the sleep turns.

Sidewinder comes into Spite.
Sidewinder uses Rest, getting 2 PPs stolen by Spite.
Sidewinder burns the 2 Sleep turns. Dusknoir tries to use Spite, but fails.

I then switch to Slow Pro again.
Slow Pro heals to full.
Slow Pro gets 3 Slack Off PPs stolen and starts to use Calm Mind.

Despite Dusknoir stealing lots of PPs, Slow Pro gets to +6 the same moment as Utalawea switches his last Mon in, Mega Houndoom.

Utalawea switches Houndoom out and sends Dusknoir again, only to die from Surf:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_24.png

Mega Houndoom comes back. Even Slow Pr0 being at +6, Dark Pulse does a lot, but doesn,t crit or flinch, so Slow Pr0 wins:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_25.png

Another dead Mon, and its the Steel one (though I didn,t expect Poligodrac to last long). At least this time is only 1:

Pokemon Midele Emerald_26.png

Finishing the chapter here.
