ORAS UU First RMT (M-Sharpedo + SD Pass Celebi)

Hey Guys! This is my first post on Smogon, as I just recently signed up. I've been playing casual Pokemon for a majority of my life, and have been competitively battling for about a year now. I recently started messing around in the UU tier and have been trying out a bunch of teams. After the recent tier changes, I've been trying out this team and would love some feedback!

Celebi @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Seed Bomb
- Sucker Punch

After being moved down to UU, I wanted to build a baton-passing team around Celebi. With this set, it can pass a SD boost or a Weakness Policy boost (maybe both) to a wide range of mons to sweep. Sucker Punch and Seed Bomb allow it to hold its own ground if necessary (+2 Sucker Punch kills M-Beedrill after rocks). With a boost, Seed bomb hits hard, and Sucker punch is an unexpected move that can get some damage off before dying if it's unable to pass. Max defense + HP to eat up hits and set-up to pass. Weakness Policy can also be used advantageously to pass boosts from Pursuit-trappers, which are rarely able to knock out Celebi from full.

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang

M-Sharpedo and Celebi together can sweep entire teams if used correctly. Sharpedo covers most of Celebi's weaknesses pretty well. Even without attack boosts, Speed Boost allows it to be a very threatening mon in UU. Waterfall is reliable STAB and Protect to get the Speed Boost. After one speed boost, Strong Jaw boosted Crunch and Ice-Fang are monstrous. In conjunction with Celebi, this thing can rip through teams if it can get those attack boosts. This thing needs to be kept alive for late-game sweeps, so I never play this thing dangerously or mega evolve it unless necessary.

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Trick

The addition of Chandelure establishes a nice F-W-G core for the team. It's Ghost typing adds a fighting immunity to the team, and Scarf gives it the speed it needs to perform. Trick can be great against Stall mons, and can easily cripple set-up defensive mons (CroCune!). Shadow Ball for STAB, Energy Ball serves for coverage against Krooks (these can be scary) and other grounds. Running Flamethrower at the moment but considering Fire Blast for the increased power, considering this is a Scarf set and not Specs.

Magneton @ Choice Specs
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Grass]

This thing is an absolute monster in this tier. Analytic+ Choice Specs is unbelievably strong and rips through teams without ground types. I originally used this with a M-Beedrill team for a strong Volt-Turn offense. HP grass allows it to destroy incoming grounds to dodge the volt-switch (R.I.P Swampert). Thunderbolt+ Flash Cannon for STAB. Not the best to get boosts from Celebi; plays a more pivotal role in trying to set up Sharpedo with boosts. It also provides a good switch-in for electrics, and fire off my own volt-switch. Also adds a steel type for opposing fairies, great counter for Florges. Sylveon can still 2hko this thing with specs hyper-voice, so it's not the best switch in for Sylveon but more of a revenge-killer that can volt-switch out.

Yanmega @ Insect Plate
Ability: Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Giga Drain
- U-turn

In order to keep that Volt-Turn going, in comes Yanmega. While playing on the ladder, I saw someone use a Modest Choice-Specs variant with Tinted Lens and it absolutely destroyed all switch-ins. This thing has more than enough speed to outspeed the majority of this tier, and I was astonished at how much damage it was outputting. I really wanted to use the set, but having half your team Choice-locked was a problem. I opted for an Insect Plate set with max speed, allowing this thing to be a very versatile lead or even bluff Specs after a strong Tinted Lens boosted Bug Buzz. Giga Drain for coverage and Air Slash for STAB. Weakness Policy boosts from Celebi can make this thing unstoppable.

Nidoqueen @ Black Sludge
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower

Now this is where I'm a little finicky. Honestly very hard to pick a last-mon. I really wanted a Stealth Rocker on this team for support, as well as a defogger to assist Yanmega. I was running an Empoleon set before to fill that role, but my team had a huge Electric weakness. Magneton was nowhere close to a reliable switch in-on electrics and V-switch was incredibly annoying. Removing Empoleon gave me a huge Fairy weakness (Specs Sylveon rekt everything), so I went with 3 moves defensive Nidoqueen. Acts as a great lead as a stealth rocker with STAB Sludge Wave and Earth Power. Flamethrower prevents the pesky Forretress from spinning away the rocks. Gives me immunity to electrics + resists to fairies.

Concerns:

1. No Hazard removal: Although Nidoqueen does a great job in lowering my Electric and Fairy weakness, now I've lost hazard removal to safely bring in Yanmega to put in work. Due to this, I really try to use Yanmega as a lead to get off as much damage on mons as possible and try not to rely on it much post-game.

2. SO many grass moves!: Despite running Celebi, I have grass moves on practically everything. I was going to replace HP grass on Magneton with HP Ice for move coverage, but the number of times Magneton has blown back incoming Swamperts forced me to keep it on the set. Would love some feedback on this, really don't know if it's that big of a deal or not.

3. Not enough bulk: Honestly, I feel like this team has a really hard time for switch-ins. The majority of these mons are too frail to eat up hits.

The team has been performing pretty good so far, but I haven't used it very much higher on the ladder yet. Thanks for reading and appreciate all feedback!
