So, I believe this team is Pre-Bank, but if I have any moves on my 'mons that would suggest otherwise I would appreciate that feedback. Anyway, this is my first time building a real competitive team, and It'd be great to hear what you guys think of it!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Carbink@Light Clay
Calm Nature
Sturdy
252 HP/168 Def/88 SpDef
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge/Power Gem/Moonblast
This guy is pretty useful. He rarely needs to use Sturdy, and is super efficient at setting up Screens and Rocks. The last move slot is used for some STAB attacking move, and is really only for a little bit of coverage. Carbink's only real purpose is to soak hits for other Pokemon, and to set up screens/rocks.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gliscor(M)@Toxic Orb
Impish Nature
Poison Heal
252 HP/180 Def/72 Spe
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Protect
- Toxic
The physical wall of the team, Gliscor is a pro at taking hits from any pokemon. Gliscor completely destroys Aegislash, and can even hold his own against Mega-Blaziken. Earthquake is his main form of damage, and Ice Fang is for opposing Gliscor and coverage. Toxic+Protect is to help stall out opponents. Gliscor also covers any weakness to ground or fighting type moves.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Metagross@Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Clear Body
252 Atk/252 HP/4SpDef
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
Metagross, the physical sweeper of the team, is an insane pokemon. With 9 resistances and 1 immunity and only 4 weaknesses, he can pretty much switch into any Pokemon safely. Meteor Mash and Zen Headbutt are Metagross's STAB moves of choice, and with the Choice Band, will do massive damage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hydreigon@Life Orb
Modest/Timid Nature
Levitate
252 SpAtk/252 Spe/4 HP
- Fire Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
Who says Hydreigon is dead? With awesome Special Attack and great STABs in Draco Meteor and Dark Pulse, Hydreigon is still as great a special sweeper as ever. Metagross essentially covers its weaknesses, and in return Hydreigon can switch in on any Dark, Ghost, Fire or Ground type move that threatens Metagross, and hit them hard with any of these moves, which when boosted by the Life Orb will deal some pretty decent damage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talonflame@Life Orb
Adamant Nature
Gale Wings
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 HP
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U - Turn
- Roost
The new bird this gen has been seeing lots of play, and with its ability Gale Wings, this Pokemon is pretty sweet. Talonflame will wreck any grass type that comes into play bar Ferrothorn with a priority Brave Bird attack. Essentially, Talonflame is on the team to kill any grass types that are a threat, and it can perform revenge kills, and even late game clean up.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blastoise@Blastoisinite
Modest Nature
Rain Dish/Mega Launcher
252 HP/252 Sp.Atk/4 Sp.Def
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
Good old Blastoise. Granted a Mega Evolution this gen, Blastoise is back and better than ever. With the Mega Launcher ability, Blastoise can smash opponents with base 120 power Aura Spheres and Dark Pulses, or use his reliable Water type STAB Scald to burn dangerous foes. Blastoise acts as a spinner and a counter to any Ice or Fire type threats to the team.
