So I've been laddering on Shoddy and I've recently decided to use a full sweeper team. It feels like it has some holes (Bulky Waters) so I wanted to see what suggestions people have. (Note: This was made before Platinum moves were announced and I haven't had time to adjust yet)

Blue == Changes I have made

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

This is my lead Gengar. It has been pretty successful, as it out speeds most things and hits them hard or sleeps them. I'm probably going to get rid of Hypnosis for either Trick + Choice Specs/Scarf or HP Ice with Specs.

Togekiss (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 22 HP/236 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Air Slash
- Flamethrower
- Tri Attack

Togekiss is my favoritest Pokemon, and TimidScarfKiss outspeed MaxSpeed Non Scarfed Gengar. This thing is absolutely annoying to the opponent and always earns at least 1 KO a match

I think that i might have too many EVs in speed right now though. I'm not entirely sure what advantages I am getting by having it absolute max speed. I'm also thinking of replacing Flamethrower or Tri Attack with Trick just to make Togekiss even more annoying, but i dont think i need two trickers on a team.

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Crunch
- Stone Edge

Yet another Pokemon that outspeeds Max Speed Non Scarf Gengar. Tyranitar is just a pure beast. I think i might want to make this a mixed attacker however, because Fire Punch isn't as effective as I thought it would be.

Lucario (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Vacuum Wave

SpeCario is amazing! Not much to say about it, only that it is very reliable. I don't think that there is anyway to improve it.

Staraptor (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 36 HP/252 Atk/222 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Quick Attack
- Return
- Close Combat

I don't think most people known that Staraptor has an Impresive 120 Base Attack. Coupled with 120 Attack + Stab + Band is amazing! It has been surprisingly a good Gyarados counter, switching in on a DD or on Earthquake and usually OHKOing w/ Brave Bird.

Deoxys-e @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 160 Atk/252 Spd/96 SAtk
Mild nature (+SAtk, -Def)
- Psychic
- Superpower
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball

Deoxys is here to clean up. Out speeding early everything and killing everything that is weakened. Thunderbolt hadn't been helping, so I decided to add Shadow Ball.

I think that adding Scarf Celebi or SubCM Timid Celebi will really help your team in terms of taking down Bulky Waters with Grass Knot as well as provide with a good amount of bulk.

You have a gengar sprite for Lucario, xD

For Togekiss, max speed at worst ties with Jolly Scarf Medicham, Jolly Scarf Mamoswine, and other Togekiss. If you don't mind not tieing with those pokemon, 420 outruns neutral nature base 90 holding a choice scarf (Moltres, Luke, Pory-Z) which requires 236 EVs, and 405 outruns neutral nature base 85 holding a choice scarf (Adamant ScarfCross), which requires 200 EVs. Dump the leftovers in HP

On Raptor, use a 32 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spe to outrun Jolly Electivire, there's no point running max speed.

Your team, once Gar is down, has trouble with Bulky waters, so Vire could help, moping up TBolts headed Togekiss's or Staraptor's way, as well as a Raikou, who can also carry HP Grass for Swampert; Jolteon likewise, expect that Jolteon could also pass Agilities to Luke. A Specs or Scarf Roserade could even work.

Oh, and your Luke sprite is wrong. EDIT: ^Beat me to it xD

Why have Tyranitar on your team? Only 2 of your pokemon *including tyranitar* are immune to sandstorm, so it would only hinder your own team.

Also, having 4 choice Items and 2 life orbs is a big weakness.
One, if they predict right, you're stuck using the wrong move, or you give them a free turn(s) to set up. Also, you have no walls, only sweeper-things.
For this reason, I suggest you use a wall to help you out against other faster sweepers.

Instead of Tyranitar, you may want to use someone like Heatran, but the wall version would be more helpful. It's weaknesses and more importantly, resistances fit well into the team. You then have 3 ground immune types to take care of it's giant ground weak.

OK, so far I've made the 2 ev changes.

Any suggestions on what to do to Gengar to make it ready for the Platinum metagame? I'm thinking of putting Trick on it to mess with all of the new Sucker Punchs we get.

And yeah, I have noticed that Sandstorm has hurt my team quite a bit. Would a version of Heatran with Stealth Rock be possible to fight in the team synergy?

And the whole point of this team is to attack and destroy.
