Nightshade's voice is soft, and she only speaks when necessary. But when she does speak, people listen. Like her voice, she moves silently when she battles or hunts, stalking her target intently and firing a steady barrage of precisely aimed arrows-- truly a terrifying Pokemon to face.

How They Met:
In a village surrounded by dense forest, there is told a myth about a shadow, a dark shape, who picks nightshade flowers in the middle of the night when the moon's light is absent and the clouds are dense. It moves silently and leaves no trace save for cleanly sliced stems and an arrow made of spectral energy planted in the ground. Once, a child wandered into the forest on the night of a new moon. Four days later, the child was found at the entrance of the forest with a haunted look in its eyes. It is for this reason that people believe that the shadow is benevolent, although not everyone agrees...

Name Origins:
Night and shade combine to form nightshade which is a plant. I guess it also sounds pretty cool.

How They Met:
Doduodrio first met Lenny who was found snoring in the doorway of a movie theater; he must have tried to leave but fell asleep in the process... somehow. He was blocking the way and nobody could enter or exit, so Doduodrio and a few other trainers helped to move him aside.

Valerie descends from a long line of seers, but she always preferred to dance rather than tell fortunes. She enjoys the occasional battle, as long as it involves some sort of dancing, which is why she sometimes teams up with Doduodrio.

Name Origins:
Valerie is the name of the Fairy-type Gym Leader from Pokemon X and Y. Also, Valerie sounds a lot like ballerina which I think Gardevoir is based on.
