Fragile Offense [OU RMT]

Recently, I decided to make a fragile offense team, as oppossed to a bulkier one or (heavens forbid) stall. Basically, I've got a DS SR Suicide Lead, 2 Pokemon with similar counters, and a couple hard hitters. It's been working rather well.
Biggest problems for this team are Kingdra, Starmie, and Latias. Especially Latias. To a lesser degree, Swampert.
Here we go!

Azelf @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Explosion

Suicide Lead. Honestly guys, no one's going to kill me in one hit- they'll SR first, so Sash is useless. Against a more offensive lead, I'll set up an appropriate Dual Screen first (Against Ttar, I can Reflect-->SR-->Explode). Reflect can really help Jirachi get set up and ravage through the midgame, and both screens can help Ape or Luke. Explosion gets me a kill, or weakens Metagross so Infernape can finish him. EVs are for maximum speed and overall bulk.

salamence.png

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 232 Atk/252 Spd/24 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Beast. Standard DD Mence helps me crack open my foes for a lategame sweep. Not much to say here- DD is to set up, while STAB Dragon deals powerful blows. EQ and Fire Blast together hit everything Outrage doesn't. Powerful without setup- ridiculous with it. Gets good synergy with Jirachi.

heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Pulse
- Explosion

Also an overused beast. Standard ScarfTran. Fire Blast is for a powerful STAB once all resists are gone. Earth Power and Dragon Pulse get me the same unresisted coverage as Salamence. I chose Dragon Pulse over HP Ice for added power vs. Latias and Kingdra, my greatest foes, as well as for great neutral coverage. Explosion can clear out one last wall for a sweep, and its fun to do as well.

jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/176 Spd/80 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon

CM Rachi- my sets are getting old here. EVs are for good Speed and Special Attack while maintaining sufficient bulk to break Bliss. And yes, it CAN break Bliss. Sub is to give me a shield to set up behind, as well as to take the prediction out of Jirachi and guard vs. Statup ignoring crits. CM is the crux of the set, boosting my Special stats sky high to rain out pain with Tbolt and Flash Cannon. Swampert messes with me though, and CM Latias creates a ridiculous stall war.

lucario.png

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extremespeed
- Ice Punch

One of my two fighting type physical sweepers. The idea is that they have similar counters, allowing me to use one to weaken/bait counters so the other can sweep. Xspeed is useful when I need a priority to finish off a pesky, difficult foe. SD boosts me up so I can Xspeed with great force. CC is ridiculous STAB, and Ice Punch rounds it out, allowing me to OHKO Mence as it DDs after Intimidate. He's a dog with an SD Xspeed- he cleans up the scraps.

---
infernape.png

Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Close Combat
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Fire Blast

Goes along with Luke. He also rips open the midgame, opening up a lategame Luke sweep. CC is his powerful base STAB, destroying Bliss and Ttar. Fire Blast is even more powerful coming from these EVs, and has the same general purpose of dealing massive damage. GK is, funnily enough, the only real answer to Swampert on my team (I can come in as it Ice Beams Salamence.) HP Ice allows me to deal with any non-Scarf Mence that tries to wall me, as well as rounding out perfect neutral coverage.

So that's my team. Basically, Azelf suicide leads, hopefully setting up screens for Ape, who proceeds to tear up the midgame along with everyone but Lucario. Luke then cleans up the scraps. It's been going pretty good, Latias/Kingdra/Swampert/Starmie aside. Thanks for helping me out!

I'm incredibly rusty at OU, so I can't really do a full or helpful rate.

Just something I noticed though, your Lucario is missing it's name, ability, and item. ;)

Good team, not much to say about it.

You have a gigantic ground weakness, and personally I would scrap Jirachi as it clashes with the rest of your team which is all ready to go with no set up (except for Lucario of course).

I would replace Jirachi with something to counteract your minimal ability to switch into Earthquake, and personally I would go with either a Life Orb Latias or Gengar. Both are great attackers which let you switch into those deadly fighting and ground attacks that you theoretically have trouble with at the moment.

Although if you're really worried about Latias and Starmie (which do hit you very hard), and you aren't worried about your ground weakness, a Bulky Tyranitar can take care of both of them. According to X-Acts EV applet, 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 SpDef gives you the greatest amount of SpDef, while keeping your attack maxed. I would run a Choice Band, with Crunch / Pursuit / Earthquake / Stone Edge (or Aqua Tail if you fear Hippowdon).

I would also replace your Salamence set with a Mixed attacking set. Lucario and Infernape all ready do a great job sweeping in the late game, and adding a Mixmence adds to your tremendous fire power during the early and middle game. Draco Meteor / Outrage / Fire Blast / Earthquake is simply devastating.

edit: Somewhat beat me to it ^

I'm pretty tired, but I'll give it my best shot.

First off, as fragile as this offensive team is, offense should always rely on each other's weaknesses and resistances to switch in and out. Prediction is one thing, but having 4 pokemon weak to ground is pretty horrible as Earthquake is the #1 used move. I would probably suggest changing Heatran to something like SubToxic Tran, as it can cripple bulky waters (especially Vaporeon that gives you trouble). Maybe either one of Jirachi/Lucario/Infernape as they give you the ground weaknesses in exchange for Scizor, who goes along every nicely as Close Combat + U-Turn is great for any team.

That's all I got, and I'll probably give the other suggestions to the next person.

Along the lines of the Ground weak.

Flygon can really hurt this team.

Scizor is stopped easily though, since 4 pokemon resist Bp and 5 resist Uturn. Passive damage can cause him to be a trouble sometimes though.

I think you should put a Jolly Gyra in somewhere, so you can outspeed Timid SpecsJolt. Since he could prolly demolish you too. (none of your pokes resist electric)

With Jolly Gyra you can bait him out and OHKO with EQ. This also eliminates you flygon problem. After the minus attack Flygon can't touch Gyra. You can just DD Up with No worries. Cept Scarf Gar. (who can also be problematic for this team)

Interestingly enough, I used an LO Latias before, while I was testing the general idea of my first fragile offense team. My team then seemed to evolve into a really unbalanced, fragile hit-or-miss team. Latias could help with my threefold Ground/Fighting/Electric weak. I'll edit back with my retest results.
No comments about Luke+Ape?

You're pretty much screwed vs a Rain Dance team. Electrode sets up Rain Dance (can also Taunt Azelf useless) and Kingdra is ready to sweep. A TTar like IggyBot suggested could work here, as it will allow you to change the weather and trap those annoying ghosts. You'll still have a huge EQ weakness, but I don't find it so threatening because most pokemon on your team can sweep on their own, so sometimes you'll have to make sacrifices regardless. Scarf TTar is a cool idea to get a surprise KO on stuff that wouldn't assume they're faster.
