===================
Chuggalong is one of the most frightening setup sweepers in the tier, as once it sets up, which is easy given it's typing and serviceable bulk, it is able to threaten most of the tier with it's colorful coverage options and boosted Special Attack. It is also extremely difficult to revenge kill, as the speed boost from Clangorous Soul letting it outspeed already speedy Pokemon like Dragapult and Deoxys-Speed, as well as Armor Tail blocking priority from Hemogoblin and Weavile that can threaten it. Clanging Scales gives Chuggalong a solid STAB attack into most Pokemon, while especially targeting Pokemon like Kyurem and Dragapult that would otherwise threaten it after a sweep. Sludge Bomb is also a STAB option capable of dealing with Cresceidon and Clefable, while also being able to potentially poison an opponent for it’s teammates. Stored Power has great synergy with Chuggalong, as Clangorous Soul allows it to easily give Stored Power the boost it needs to threaten Pokemon like Arghonaut,
Mollux, and Slowking-Galar. Surf is an amazing option capable of threatening Pokemon like Equilibra, Ting-Lu, and Garganacl that could wall it or threaten it before it set’s up. Throat Spray allows Chuggalong to boost it’s Special Attack even higher after a Clangorous Soul, allowing it to reach astronomical levels of power. Throat Spray also has the niche application of getting a boost after a Clanging Scales if it’s in a position where it can’t set up a Clangorous Soul. Tera Water allows Cluggalong to boost it’s Surf damage, letting it 2HKO Ting-Lu and OHKO Equilibra after Stealth Rock, while also removing it’s weaknesses to Ice and Psychic. Tera Psychic is another option to boost Stored Power, letting it OHKO Arghonaut, and turns it’s Psychic weakness into a resistance, which can help against Deoxys-Speed.
Chuggalong really has only 1 chance to sweep due to the nature of Clangorous Soul, so it fits at home with more offensive teams that can constantly pressure Chuggalong’s checks so that it can sweep, and vice versa, Ogerpon-W is an amazing teammate for Chuggalong, as it can easily wear down a variety of Pokemon for Chuggalong to sweep later in the game, especially Pokemon like Shox, Equilibra, and Cresceidon that Chuggalong can struggle with. Chuggalong can struggle with Ground-types like Equilibra, Ting-Lu, and Landorus-T, as even with Surf, it can’t nessesarily switch into them, so Pokemon like your own Landorus-T, Samurott-Hisui, and Kyurem can be useful. Landorus-T and Samurott-Hisui in particular can also set entry hazards for Chuggalong, chipping down it’s checks even faster. Other special attackers like Iron Crown, Gholdengo, and Darkrai also help in this regard, as they all can constantly pressure their shared checks, eventually leading to one of them sweeping. The former 2 in particular also help Chuggalong against Dragon-Types like Kyurem and Raging Bolt that could OHKO Chuggalong before it can get a chance to set up.

Checks and Counters
===================
In this section, briefly cover some common checks and counters to the Pokemon in question.
**Specially Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon like Shox and Galarian Slowking can easily take Chuggalong’s attacks even while boosted and can cripple it with paralysis, leaving it vulnerable to revenge killing by their teammates.
**Phasing**: As Chuggalomg can only reliably try to sweep once, Pokemon that can remove these boosts, like Ting-Lu, Moltres, and Arghonaut, can essentially cripple Chuggalong for the rest of the game. However, none of these Pokemon like taking one of Chuggalong’s coverage moves.
**Fast Mons** Even with the speed boost gained from Clangorous Soul, it still dosen’t outspeed Pokemon like Booster Energy Iron Valiant and Choice Scarf Darkrai, leaving it wide open to getting OHKOed. However, both of these Pokemon can’t switch into Chuggalong directly.
**Chip Damage**: Since Clangorous Soul requires health in order to activate, getting too worn own by hazards or attacks, commonly both, can prevent Chuggalong from ever getting the set-up opportunity it needs,
