From the Darkness We Rise
With Halloween this month, The Happy Place is happy to introduce its second contest! In the spirit of the season, our theme for this contest revolves around personal fears and how you wish to conquer them. Or maybe you already have! We’d love to see how you conquered (or are currently conquering) your own fears. Show us through your writing or art!
General Rules
- You must have a registered Pokémon Showdown! account to participate.
- You may only submit one entry per category.
- If you submit more than once, we will only take into account your latest entry.
- All submitted works must be relevant to the contest theme. Any irrelevant, troll, and NSFW entries will not be looked at and may cause the participant who sent in the entry to become subject to punishment.
- All entries must be original work. Using anything not your own will instantly disqualify you.
- All entries must be submitted through the Submissions Form found on our website.
- Winners must have both a 3DS and a copy of Pokémon Sun/Moon or Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.
Rules for Writing
- Poems may be up to 200 words.
- Short stories may be up to 5000 words.
- Submit works via a Google Doc or Pastebin link.
- There will be a penalty for not abiding with the above word counts.
Rules for Art
- Works of art must be uploaded with Imgur.
Prizes
First Place Winners of Each Category
First place winners will receive one custom battle ready team (6 Pokémon). Any of the Pokémon may be shiny and IVs may be hyper trained. The Pokémon must be obtainable in Pokémon Moon or Pokémon Ultra Moon.
All Participants
All participants will receive one shiny, battle ready Gourgeist in a Dusk Ball
