Froslass @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball

While Froslass's initial stint in ZU was a rather forgettable one, it has been nothing short of dominant since its return during the most recent shifts. Thanks to Froslass's Speed and typing, it has favorable matchups against common Defoggers such as Altaria and Rotom, which has allowed it to surpass Qwilfish as the premier Spiker. It also serves as a spinblocker, albeit a shaky one, as most spinners such as Morpeko and Coalossal force it out. Taunt stops Defog, prevents Pokemon such as Qwilfish and Stunfisk from setting up entry hazards, and shuts down defensive Pokemon like Miltank and Clefairy. Froslass is predominantly used on offensive teams where strong wallbreakers like Sawk and Morpeko benefit from Spikes wearing down their checks such as Alcremie and Tangela. Teams that utilize hazard stacking value Froslass's utility, as it pairs well with other entry hazard setters like Rhydon, Piloswine, and Qwilfish. Klinklang, Rapidash, and Alolan Persian threaten Froslass; switch-ins to them like Rapidash, Rhydon, and Gurdurr are appreciated. Knock Off users such as Thwackey and Uxie are good partners, as they remove Heavy-Duty Boots from Miltank and Alolan Persian.

While Froslass' initial stint in ZU was a rather forgettable one, its been nothing short of dominance since its return during the most recent shifts. Thanks to its high speed and typing not only giving it favourable matchups against common Defoggers such as Altaria and Rotom, but also letting it serve as a spinblocker i would mention it is not so good as a spinblocker because coal, kabu, and peko can just ohko it, Froslass has overtaken Qwilfish as the metagame's premier Spiker. Taunt stops Defog, prevents Pokemon such as Qwilfish and Stunfisk from setting up entry hazards, and shuts down defensive Pokemon like Miltank and Clefairy. Dunno how much characters you've left, but could be nice to talk on knock off users removing boots from alolan persian and miltank.
