Thanks to Eviolite and its Ghost-typing, Galarian Corsola is one of the most formidable defensive Pokemon avaliable. Will-O-Wisp furthers this goal by slashing the attack of physical attackers with burns, while Strength Sap will recover most of Galarian Corsola's health when used against foes without any Attack drops. Night Shade gives Galarian Corsola a consistent attack to use that don't depend on its low offensive stats. Stealth Rock is a great pick, making Galarian Corsola one of the most reliable setters of it around. However, Haze is still useful, as some set up sweepers such as Mimikyu can set up multiple times despite the burn otherwise.
Galarian Corsola may be a defensive Pokemon, but its great Stealth Rock setting capabilities let it pair well with sweepers such as Dragapult and Gyarados, who appreciate the chip damage. Speaking of set up sweepers, Special set up sweepers such as Hydreigon and Togekiss are huge problems for Galarian Corsola, being able to easily set up on it. Corviknight is also a particularly problematic sweeper due to its tendency to use Substitute. Taunt users, such as Corvinight and Hydreigon, make Galarian Corsola easy set up bait as well. Defensive Pokemon with Toxic such as Toxapex and Quagsire easily defeat Galarian Corsola as well. Fairy-types such as Mimikyu and Sylveon are helpful against Hydreigon, while Electric-types such as Rotom formes are helpful against Corviknight and Toxapex, with special mention going to Rotom-C for defeating Quagsire. Grass-type Pokemon in general such as Rillaboom and Ferrothorn preform well against Quagsire too.
