[SET COMMENTS]

Swords Dance Galarian Rapidash functions as a high-speed balance breaker. Although somewhat frail, its high attack and stellar Fairy Ground coverage makes it very difficult to beat defensively after a Swords Dance. Life Orb can further increase its breaking potential and ease the need to set up, achieving feats such as 2HKOing Klinklang with High Horsepower. Protective Pads is a much more balanced option that lowers Galarian Rapidash's power level significantly but avoids recoil and removes the risk of triggering Static or Effect Spore when attacking Pokemon such as Stunfisk and Shiiinotic, as well as avoiding Rocky Helmet chip from Pokemon such as Sandslash and Mawile. Pastel Veil is notable for allowing Galarian Rapidash to more freely set up on Toxic users such as Stunfisk and switch into Toxic Spikes. Healing Wish can be run over Swords Dance or Morning Sun in certain niche cases.

Galarian Rapidash should always be looking for setup opportunities on weaker Pokemon, particularly those reliant on Toxic such as Type: Null, as well as Pokemon it forces out such as Throh. Parting Shot users like Silvally-Rock and Morpeko can allow Galarian Rapidash to set up more comfortably on opponents that might ordinarily do a hefty amount of damage such as Mr. Rime, while other pivots such as Raboot and Type: Null can also help to bring Galarian Rapidash in more safely. Knock Off users such as Tangela and Galarian Linoone can be particularly useful partners as Galarian Rapidash is checked by many Eviolite users, including Tangela, Scald Mareanie, and Shadow Claw Type: Null. Spikes users such as Roselia and Crustle can be excellent partners due to Galarian Rapidash's best checks all being vulnerable to them. Setup sweepers such as Lilligant and fast cleaners like Boltund can make excellent use of Galarian Rapidash's wallbreaking to finish teams off late-game. Galarian Rapidash is prone to being forced out by faster threats such as Alolan Dugtrio or Choice Scarf Drednaw after a KO. Having a defensive core to fall back on is advised, particularly Static and Rocky Helmet users like Stunfisk, Sandslash and Gourgeist-Super since many of Galarian Rapidash's revenge killers are physical attackers using contact moves.

[SET COMMENTS]

Offensive Calm Mind Galarian Rapidash is a stronger immediate breaker than physical sets due to physical walls being more common and reliable while still retaining Calm Mind to better pressure certain defensive threats such as Type: Null. Mystical Fire is both excellent coverage and has good utility with its guaranteed Special Attack drop, allowing Galarian Rapidash to neuter counterattacks from Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and ease setup. While Morning Sun is the preferred final move to give Galarian Rapidash some longevity, Dazzling Gleam can be useful for beating Dark-types such as Morpeko and Vullaby without needing multiple boosts or some chip damage beforehand, as well as threatening Appletun.

Calm Mind grants Galarian Rapidash more setup opportunities on slower special attackers like Galarian Mr. Mime, but it still greatly appreciates pivots such as Unfezant and Klinklang to find more setup opportunities. This set can lure and cripple physical walls such as Tangela and Sandslash if the opponent is expecting a Swords Dance set, making it a good partner for Gourgeist and Morpeko which can otherwise struggle with these Pokemon. Toxic Spikes from Mareanie or Roselia can cripple many of Galarian Rapidash's best checks like Lickilicky. If you opt to run Dazzling Gleam over Morning Sun, a Healing Wish user such as Lilligant or Musharna can give this set a second chance to break the opposing team. Physical walls such as Tangela are good partners that can switch into most Pokemon looking to revenge kill Galarian Rapidash. Special cleaners such as Choice Scarf Golduck can benefit greatly from Galarian Rapidash's wallbreaking.

name: Bulky Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind

move 3: Stored Power / Psychic
move 4: Mystical Fire
item: Kee Berry / Leftovers
ability: Pastel Veil
nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Bulky Calm Mind Galarian Rapidash aims to be more of a defensive sweeper that trades bulk for excellent Speed, making it somewhat difficult to revenge kill with mid-speed breakers compared to other bulky Calm Mind users such as Musharna. Stored Power can become extremely powerful after Calm Mind and Kee Berry boosts, but Psychic can have merit in being more powerful before setting up, allowing Galarian Rapidash to revenge kill weakened foes and pressure phazers and Haze users such as Throh and Mareanie more reliably. Kee Berry helps Galarian Rapidash to beat physical attackers like Unfezant and accrue more boosts for Stored Power, while Leftovers provides consistent recovery. Pastel Veil is notable for giving this set an immunity to Toxic, significantly increasing its setup opportunities.

Kee Berry Galarian Rapidash should aim to switch into weaker physical attackers such as Hitmonchan or Dubwool to immediately activate its berry. However, be careful to avoid Knock Off as it removes the berry without triggering a boost. Grass- and Ice-types such as Leafeon and Mr. Rime are useful for baiting and weakening Steel-types like Klinklang, which can pose a problem to Galarian Rapidash if healthy. While this set is fairly self-sufficient otherwise, it has very little offensive presence and is much better at breaking bulky teams and surprising checks to Galarian Rapidash's other sets such as Musharna. This set should be run on teams with plenty of options to handle more offensive teams that can easily KO Galarian Rapidash before it gets the chance to set up.

[SET COMMENTS]

Offensive Calm Mind Galarian Rapidash is a stronger more effective (difference between sets given is in what it accomplishes, not in power) immediate breaker than physical sets due to physical walls being more common and reliable while still retaining Calm Mind to better pressure ("still retaining" is alike to other Galardash, "better pressure" is unlike them. if using "while", you have to pick one for consistency. pick whether to change while, or to make both comparisons alike or unlike, and I'll recommend a correction.) certain defensive threats(AC), such as Type: Null. Mystical Fire is both excellent coverage and has (parallelism) good utility(AC), with its guaranteed Special Attack drop(RC), allowing Galarian Rapidash to neuter counterattacks from Pokemon such as Mr. Rime and ease setup. While Morning Sun is the preferred final move to give Galarian Rapidash some longevity, Dazzling Gleam can be useful for beating Dark-types such as Morpeko and Vullaby without needing multiple boosts or some chip damage beforehand, as well as for (parallelism) threatening Appletun.

Calm Mind grants Galarian Rapidash more setup opportunities on slower special attackers like Calm Mind Silvally-Ice, (Silvally can't learn CM. I checked to be sure. I assume you meant something else) but it still greatly appreciates support from (because "pivots to" would mean the verb "pivot", but Unfezant is not that verb) pivots such as Unfezant and Klinklang to find more setup opportunities. This set can lure in and cripple physical walls such as Tangela and Sandslash if the opponent is expecting a Swords Dance set, making it a good partner for Gourgeist and Morpeko(AC), which can otherwise struggle with these Pokemon. Toxic Spikes from Mareanie or Roselia can cripple many of Galarian Rapidash's best checks(AC), like Lickilicky. If you opt to run Dazzling Gleam over Morning Sun, a Healing Wish user such as Lilligant or Musharna can give this set a second chance to break the opposing team. [SET COMMENTS]

Bulky Calm Mind Galarian Rapidash aims to be more of ("more of" starts comparison with other Galardash sets, a comparison where "trades bulk for speed" doesn't make sense) a defensive sweeper that trades bulk for excellent Speed, making it somewhat difficult to revenge kill with via (subjective - ambiguous lead-in) mid-speed breakers compared to other bulky Calm Mind users such as Musharna. Kee Berry helps Galarian Rapidash to beat physical attackers like Unfezant and accrue more boosts for Stored Power, while Leftovers provides consistent recovery. makes it less reliant on Morning Sun to stay healthy. (less fluff-like distinguish explanation, that I assume is true) Pastel Veil is notable for giving this set an immunity to Toxic, significantly increasing its setup opportunities.

Kee Berry Galarian Rapidash should aim to switch into weaker physical attackers such as Hitmonchan or and Dubwool to immediately activate its berry. However, be careful to avoid Knock Off(AC), as it removes the berry without triggering a boost. Grass- and Ice-types such as Leafeon and Mr. Rime are useful for baiting in and weakening Steel-types like Klinklang(RC), which that (this is ONLY if you meant that Steel-types in general can pose a problem... If you meant Klinklang specifically, ignore this change entirely.) can pose a problem to Galarian Rapidash if healthy. While this set is fairly self-sufficient otherwise, it has very little immediate (up to you if this is worth adding) offensive presence and is much better at breaking bulky teams and surprising checks to Galarian Rapidash's other sets(AC), such as Musharna. This set should be run on teams with plenty of options to handle more offensive teams that can easily KO Galarian Rapidash before it gets the chance to set up.
