[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to its amazing ability and typing, Calm Mind Galarian Slowbro can act as a great late-game cleaner. Its resistances let it stomach hits from the likes of Nihilego and Amoonguss, and its Poison STAB allows it to threaten Pokemon such as Primarina and Tangrowth. Galarian Slowbro's decent bulk and Regenerator let it come in multiple times to spam Sludge Bomb and Scald, wearing checks like Jirachi and Gastrodon down through potential poison and burns. It can similarly cripple offensive checks like Krookodile, Zarude, and Keldeo, which it can take a hit from and then switch out. Regenerator lets Galarian Slowbro easily set up even if it's been weakened or forced out early-game, and it's very difficult to take out once it gets going with Calm Mind. Its immunity to Toxic also contributes to its longevity. Being capable of using Colbur or Shuca Berry forces Pokemon like Zarude and Mamoswine to scout for its specific Berry. However, its very low Speed for a sweeper lets Pokemon like Krookodile, Diggersby, and Azumarill revenge kill it. Its special bulk is not good before setting up, leaving it weak to special attackers such as Primarina and Galarian Moltres. Galarian Slowbro can easily become setup fodder for Pokemon like Calm Mind Reuniclus and Suicune. Furthermore, it faces competition with Reuniclus as a Calm Mind sweeper because of its Magic Guard and ability to beat Pokemon like Celesteela more easily. Reuniclus is also not weak to Ground, easing matchups against Pokemon like Gastrodon and Nidoqueen.

[SET COMMENTS]

Calm Mind allows Galarian Slowbro to muscle through checks like Jirachi and Gastrodon. Scald is aimed at Ground-types such as Rhyperior and Krookodile, and it can burn physically offensive threats like Scizor and Kommo-o. Galarian Slowbro may opt for Flamethrower in place of Scald to hit Steel-types like Aegislash and Scizor harder, but it misses out on hitting Pokemon like Rhyperior and more consistently burning Celesteela. Psyshock may also be considered for its synergy with Flamethrower, the former hitting Nihilego, Chansey, and Amoonguss while the latter targets Steel-types. Slack Off helps Galarian Slowbro pose a constant threat and set up on Pokemon like Celesteela and Mew. Colbur Berry lets it take an attack like Zarude's Darkest Lariat or Scizor's Knock Off and KO back. Shuca Berry does the same against Ground-types like Nidoqueen and Mamoswine. Safety Goggles is an option that lets Galarian Slowbro beat Amoonguss and stay in against Spore. A Bold nature and the given EV spread help against physical attackers such as Azumarill and Scizor.

Tapu Bulu is an exceptional teammate for its Grassy Terrain, which allows Galarian Slowbro to face Ground-types like Mamoswine and Rhyperior more easily. Tapu Bulu also takes on dangerous threats like Crawdaunt, while Galarian Slowbro removes Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth. Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, and Giga Drain Mew can remove Seismitoad and Gastrodon, some the largest Ground-type threats to Galarian Slowbro. The former two are also great Knock Off absorbers that let it use its Colbur Berry properly, and Mew can set entry hazards to wear down checks such as Jirachi and Tentacruel. Due to Galarian Slowbro's low Speed, pivots that can get it in safely against setup fodder are ideal teammates. Jirachi and Scizor can use U-turn in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Buzzwole, and Safety Goggles Scizor takes on Amoonguss without fearing Spore. Raikou and Rotom-W can use Volt Switch on Grass-types and offensively check Chandelure. Galarian Slowbro appreciates Mienshao and Tangrowth checking Dark-types such as Krookodile and Crawdaunt. Entry hazard removal from the likes of Salamence and Rotom-W is needed. Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Krookodile and Buzzwole can remove Calm Mind sweepers that beat Galarian Slowbro one-on-one like Suicune and Reuniclus.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Heavy-Duty Boots preventing entry hazard damage can create more setup opportunities. There exist Nasty Plot sets with Sludge Wave, Fire Blast, and either Psyshock or Grass Knot, with the former hitting Chansey and Chandelure and the latter hitting Krookodile harder. They use Quick Draw + Quick Claw to let Galarian Slowbro bypass its Speed sometimes, but this makes it lose a lot of bulk and become extremely vulnerable to Chandelure, Mamoswine, and Krookodile. An EV spread of 252 HP / 112 Def / 40 SpA / 104 SpD with a Bold nature lets +1 Galarian Slowbro always take Choice Specs Chandelure's Shadow Ball and KO it back after Stealth Rock damage. Galarian Slowbro can run Kasib Berry to ease the Chandelure matchup even more. Ghost-types are less common than Dark-type moves and Ground-types, however.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Choice Band Krookodile, Crawdaunt, and Galarian Moltres scare Galarian Slowbro with their Dark-type attacks. The former two do huge amounts of damage to Shuca Berry Galarian Slowbro, and even after consuming its Colbur Berry, Knock Off still does a good chunk. Galarian Moltres takes advantage of Galarian Slowbro's bad Special Defense before it sets up. They all have to be wary of poison and burns from its attacks, though.

**Ground-types**: Seismitoad and Gastrodon resist or are immune to every move Galarian Slowbro carries bar Psyshock, which still doesn't bother them. Unaware Quagsire doesn't care about Galarian Slowbro's boosts. Rhyperior, Mamoswine, and Krookodile can remove Galarian Slowbro with their powerful Earthquakes, but they have to be wary of Scald and potential burns. Furthermore, they should only be brought in to revenge kill Galarian Slowbro and while knowing its item, as Shuca Berry can negate its Ground weakness.

**Powerful Special Attackers**: Threats like Choice Specs Primarina, Nasty Plot Thundurus, and Chandelure take advantage of Galarian Slowbro's poor Special Defense before it can set up. However, they don't like switching in and risking getting statused or badly damaged.

[OVERVIEW]

Add a line about what it does. It's a great late-game cleaner thanks to Calm Mind and having a great ability and typing.
  • Useful defensive typing lets it stomach hits from the likes of Tapu Bulu and Amoonguss, Use something else over Amoonguss while powerful offensive typing allows it to threaten Pokemon such as Primarina, Azumarill, and Amoonguss.
  • Wide movepool gives it ways to deal with checks like Scizor and Jirachi through Fire-type coverage, and Krookodile and Rhyperior through Scald.
I feel like the point about this Pokemon is being missed. The combination of Scald and Sludge Bomb is very annoying to deal with because it spreads status so easily and because of its bulk + Regenerator, it can continue to fish for this. Reword this, also I'm unslashing Flamethrower so don't include it here.

  • Regenerator gives it more setup opportunities to use Calm Mind if it gets weakened or is forced out.
  • Becomes very difficult to take out once it gets going with Calm Mind, and its immunity to Toxic prevents it from being worn down by it.
  • Very low Speed for a sweeper leaves it vulnerable to being revenge killed by Pokemon like Terrakion, Keldeo, and Azumarill.
  • Special bulk is not good before setting up one or two times, leaving it weak to special attackers such as Alakazam and Galarian Moltres.
  • Can easily become setup fodder for threats like Alakazam and Salamence.
  • Faces a lot of competition with the tier's other Psychic-types, such as Alakazam and Victini. Both are stronger and faster than Galarian Slowbro. Mew and Jirachi offer so much more utility through pivot moves and entry hazards, and can also act as sweepers with Dragon Dance and Calm Mind, respectively. I'd rather you compared it to Reuniclus who actually performs a similar role to Glowbro, unlike the ones you've picked out.

  • Poison-types like Nidoqueen and Nihilego don't need to setup in order to act as offensive threats, while Amoonguss acts as a very reliable wall, with the same Regenerator ability but better matchups against threats like Zeraora, Azumarill, and Krookodile. These mons don't do the same thing so there is no point comparing them

  • Calm Mind allows Galarian Slowbro to muscle through checks like Jirachi and Chansey.
  • Flamethrower lets Galarian Slowbro hit Steel-types like Celesteela and Scizor and allows it to hit Pokemon like Nidoqueen neutrally. Keep this as a mention and bring it up after Scald.
  • Scald is aimed at Ground-types such as Rhyperior and Krookodile. It also has a 30% chance to burn threats like Scizor and Salamence, easing up Galarian Slowbro's matchup against physical attackers.
  • Slack Off gives Galarian Slowbro longevity when trying to setup in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Mew. It also helps it to not rely solely on Regenerator as a form of recovery.
  • Colbur Berry lets Galarian Slowbro take one super effective Dark-type attack, such as Knock Off from Krookodile and Bisharp, allowing it to then KO them back with its coverage moves.
  • Heavy-Duty Boots makes Galarian Slowbro negate hazard damage, letting it come in on the field more times to set up with Calm Mind. oo this. Add Shuca Berry and mention how it helps it take a hit from Nidoqueen, Mamoswine etc.
  • A Bold nature and the given EV spread help Galarian Slowbro when facing physical attackers such as Azumarill and Zeraora.

  • Tapu Bulu is an exceptional teammate, granting Grassy Terrain support for Galarian Slowbro, allowing it to face Ground-types like Mamoswine and Rhyperior more easily. Tapu Bulu also takes on dangerous threats like Crawdaunt for it, while Galarian Slowbro removes Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth for Tapu Bulu.
  • Due to Galarian Slowbro's low Speed, pivots that can get it in safely against Pokemon it can setup on are ideal teammates. Defensive Jirachi Why does Jirachi need to be defensive to bring it in with U-turn and Scizor can U-turn in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Skarmory. Zeraora and Rotom-W can pivot out of Grass-types to bring Galarian Slowbro in safely as well.
  • Hazard setters such as Skarmory and Kommo-o can set Spikes and Stealth Rock, respectively. This helps to wear down some of Galarian Slowbro's checks, such as Jirachi and Tentacruel.
  • The aforementioned Tapu Bulu can remove the Ground-types that bother Galarian Slowbro, such as Quagsire and Gastrodon. Other Pokemon like Tangrowth, Amoonguss, and Kyurem can also do this. Just bring this up straight after where you brought bulu up
  • Galarian Slowbro can't deal with Well it runs Colbur so to say can't deal with them is wrong. Just say it appreciates checks to Dark-types Dark-types such as Krookodile and Bisharp, so teammates like Tapu Bulu, Kommo-o, and Rotom-H can all remove them or cripple them for Galarian Slowbro. Furthermore, Tapu Bulu and Kommo-o are great Knock Off absorbers if running Heavy-Duty Boots in place of Colbur Berry.
  • If a Colbur Berry is chosen, hazard removal from the likes of Salamence and Rotom-W is needed, as it allows Galarian Slowbro to come in without worrying about taking damage from hazards. Remove the if running Colbur with boots now unslashed
Add something on partners that deal with opposing CM users, specifically Suicune and Reuniclus because it can't beat them 1on1
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Black Sludge can be used to give Galarian Slowbro some form of passive recovery when setting up, but the loss in ability of taking a super effective Dark-type move once or negating hazard damage is not worth it.
  • Grassy Seed allows Galarian Slowbro to boost its Defense and lets it setup more freely in front of Ground-types like Rhyperior. This set must be paired with the only Grassy Terrain setter in the tier, Tapu Bulu. However, Galarian Slowbro can still be forced out of the field after Grassy Terrain has ended by threats like Mamoswine and Crawdaunt and it won't be able to boost its Defense again if it switches out.
  • Nasty Plot sets with Sludge Wave / Psyshock / Fire Blast and Quick Draw as an ability can be deadly, but Galarian Slowbro loses on a lot of bulk and becomes extremely vulnerable to threats like Bisharp, Mamoswine, and Krookodile.
  • An Assault Vest is an option to boost Galarian Slowbro's okay Special Defense and allow it to take special hits more easily, but the loss in boosting options makes it passive, and being unable to heal damage from attacks and hazards without switching out can hinder its ability to act as a specially defensive sponge.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Bisharp, Krookodile, Crawdaunt, and Galarian Moltres all scare Galarian Slowbro with their powerful Dark-type attacks. The former three can all do huge amounts of damage to Galarian Slowbro if it has an item other than Colbur Berry with Knock Off. The former three can also run other Dark-type moves to threaten Galarian Slowbro even after removing its item. The latter takes advantage of Galarian Slowbro's bad Special Defense when unboosted. Remove Krook from this. You bring it up in Ground-types so this will just cut the examples down

**Ground-types**: Quagsire and Gastrodon resist every move Galarian Slowbro carries and only have to scout for the rare Grass Knot. On top of that, Quagsire has Unaware and doesn't care about Galarian Slowbro's boosts. Rhyperior, Mamoswine, and Krookodile can all remove Galarian Slowbro with their powerful Earthquake, but they have to be wary of Scald and potential burns. I'd rather you reworded to say that they should primarily be brought in to revenge kill Glowbro once it's in range of Earthquake because they aren't reliably beating it otherwise

**Powerful Special Attackers**: Threats like Choice Specs Primarina, Nasty Plot Alakazam, and Kyurem all take advantage of Galarian Slowbro's poor Special Defense before it can set up and do huge amounts of damage to it with their powerful STAB attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Thanks to its amazing ability, typing and access to Calm Mind, Galarian Slowbro can act as a great late-game cleaner.
  • Useful defensive typing lets it stomach hits from the likes of Tapu Bulu and Amoonguss, while powerful offensive typing allows it to threaten Pokemon such as Primarina, Azumarill, and Amoonguss.
  • Galarian Slowbro's decent bulk and ability let it come in multiple times to spam Sludge Bomb and Scald, annoying checks like Jirachi, Slowking, and Gastrodon by wearing them down through poison and burns.
  • Regenerator gives it more setup opportunities to use Calm Mind if it gets weakened or is forced out.
  • Would include something about how its bulk + regenerator often means that it can just trade with checks like Zarude after a CM, and come back healthy again later, as very little can actually kill it from full. Also lets it fish for burns / poisons and just generally weaken offense checks like CB Terrakion / Keldeo too. You can go into more detail about how its range of berries it can run also can limit offensive checks like Mamoswine / Bisharp etc a lot, making it painful to play around even more.
Chandy definitely needs mention.
  • Can easily become setup fodder for threats like Alakazam and Salamence.
  • +1 0 SpA Slowbro-Galar Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Salamence: 175-207 (52.8 - 62.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • +1 252 Atk Salamence Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro-Galar: 250-296 (63.4 - 75.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • wouldn't really call that mence set up fodder, simiarlly with zam like its got no recovery and you can just smack it with a sludge bomb while it can't really threaten you too much at base before an NP. Stuff like NP Goltres / CM Reuniclus come more to mind as things its truly set up fodder for.
  • Faces competition with Reuniclus as a Calm Mind and Grassy Seed sweeper. Reuniclus's ability Magic Guard and higher Special Attack let it avoid damage from entry hazards and hit checks like Jirachi harder. Mention specifically that it also beats Celesteela unlike Glowbro, and lack of a ground typing means its not threatened by stuff like Mamoswine / Nidoqueen as easily.

  • Calm Mind allows Galarian Slowbro to muscle through checks like Jirachi and Chansey.

  • A Shuca Berry allows Galarian Slowbro to eat one super effective Ground-type attack and face Ground-types like Nidoqueen and Mamoswine, crippling or KOing them with Scald.
  • Mention Goggles as an alternative item that lets you set up on and 1v1 amoonguss, stops it just forcing you out with spores.
  • A Bold nature and the given EV spread help Galarian Slowbro when facing physical attackers such as Azumarill and Zeraora.
  • Decide where you want to put this, whether its as a mention or in OO, 3rd QC will move it if they want it in the other place, but I'd throw some mention of the following EV spread in somewhere, as it lets you take a guaranteed Specs Sball from Chandy and guarantee OHKO it back after SR. EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 40 SpA / 104 SpD Bold Nature. Similarly consider putting Kasib berry somewhere too either here or in OO. (Chandy big threat and glowbro teams tend to follow very chandy weak structures imo so i quite like this spread sometimes)

  • The aforementioned Tapu Bulu can remove the Ground-types that bother Galarian Slowbro, such as Quagsire and Gastrodon. Other Pokemon like Tangrowth, Amoonguss, and Kyurem can also do this. Something nice you could mention is SubRoost Kyurem + CM Glowbro can overwhelm stuff like Chansey together, while SubRoost kyurem can also PP stall steela for glowbro.
  • Due to Galarian Slowbro's low Speed, pivots that can get it in safely against Pokemon it can setup on are ideal teammates. Jirachi and Scizor can U-turn in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Skarmory. Zeraora and Rotom-W can pivot out of Grass-types to bring Galarian Slowbro in safely as well. Bring up how Rotom-W / Zeraora can offensively check Chandelure too.
  • Likewise on this point i'd talk about how Glowbro needs soemthing to either absorb sleep from amoong or something that can actively try to abuse ot, eg. you could definitely mention Goggles Sciz/Skarm as an option here, u-turn sciz here is a nice pivot especially because it does get you chances versus skarmory / rotoms etc.
  • Hazard setters such as Skarmory and Kommo-o can set Spikes and Stealth Rock, respectively. This helps to wear down some of Galarian Slowbro's checks, such as Jirachi and Tentacruel.
  • Galarian Slowbro appreciates checks to Dark-types such as Krookodile and Bisharp, so teammates like Tapu Bulu, Kommo-o, and Rotom-H can all remove them or cripple them for Galarian Slowbro. Furthermore, Tapu Bulu and Kommo-o are great Knock Off absorbers so Galarian Slowbro can make use of its Berry properly. Comment also on Kommo-o as a chandy check here, would mention specifically that chandy is one of the biggest threats to glowbro teams because of the above structures you've outlined with glowbro + steels.
  • Entry hazard removal from the likes of Salamence and Rotom-W is needed, as it allows Galarian Slowbro to come in without worrying about taking damage from hazards.
  • Strong wallbreakers like Zeraora and Azumarill can remove opposing Calm Mind sweepers like Suicune and Reuniclus for Galarian Slowbro, as it can't beat them 1v1.
When you mention things like Skarm / Mence, litter in mentions o checking SD Sciz because its quite a threat if you can't actually land a scald on it.

  • Black Sludge can be used to give Galarian Slowbro some form of passive recovery when setting up, but the loss in ability of taking a super effective Dark-type move once or negating hazard damage is not worth it. Youve put this mention higher than boots so it seems a bit weird that you're stating that boots is better here.
  • Nasty Plot sets with Sludge Wave / Psyshock / Fire Blast and Quick Draw as an ability can be deadly, nmention that quick claw is needed specifically too (even if this is mildly obvious). Is this the only coverage combo that works here? for instance i can see going grass knot > psyshock as a definite option to get the kill on krook while your only losing on chandy / chansey by doing this. but Galarian Slowbro loses on a lot of bulk and becomes extremely vulnerable to threats like Bisharp, Mamoswine, and Krookodile.
What are some things it can try to switch into here? eg. Keldeo. Definitely mention how Slowking just checks most of what it'd check better here, and gets to run boots + slack off and teleport at same time.
  • Heavy-Duty Boots makes Galarian Slowbro negate hazard damage, letting it come in on the field more times to set up with Calm Mind.

Checks and Counters

**Dark-types**: Bisharp, Crawdaunt, and Galarian Moltres all scare Galarian Slowbro with their Dark-type attacks. The former two do huge amounts of damage to Galarian Slowbro with Knock Off if it has a Shuca Berry in place of a Colbur Berry, and even after consuming its Colbur Berry, Knock Off still does a good chunk. Galarian Moltres takes advantage of Galarian Slowbro's bad Special Defense before it sets up.

**Ground-types**: Quagsire and Gastrodon resist every move Galarian Slowbro carries. yep quag resists scald :O On top of that, Quagsire has Unaware and doesn't care about Galarian Slowbro's boosts. Rhyperior, Mamoswine, and Krookodile can all remove Galarian Slowbro with their powerful Earthquake, but they have to be wary of Scald and potential burns. Furthermore, they should only be brought in to revenge kill it and when it is in range of being KO'ed by Earthquake. Mention vulnerability to shuca versions before scouting too.

**Powerful Special Attackers**: Threats like Choice Specs Primarina, Nasty Plot Alakazam, and Kyurem all take advantage of Galarian Slowbro's poor Special Defense before it can set up to dent it or KO it with their special moves.

Its useful defensive typing lets it stomach hits from the likes of Tapu Bulu and Amoonguss, while powerful offensive typing allows it to threaten Pokemon such as Primarina and Azumarill. Galarian Slowbro's decent bulk and ability let it come in multiple times to spam Sludge Bomb and Scald, annoying checks like Jirachi and Gastrodon by wearing them down through potential poison and burns. This also lets it weaken and cripple offensive checks like Krookodile, Zarude, and Keldeo, which it can take a hit from and then switch out. Regenerator gives it more setup opportunities to use Calm Mind if it gets weakened or is forced out, and Galarian Slowbro becomes very difficult to take out once it gets going with Calm Mind. Its immunity to Toxic also contributes to its longevity. Being capable of using more than one resist Berry forces Pokemon like Zarude and Mamoswine to scout for its specific Berries and work around Galarian Slowbro. However, having a very low Speed for a sweeper leaves it vulnerable to being revenge killed by Pokemon like Krookodile, Diggersby, and Azumarill. Its special bulk is also not good before setting up one or two times, leaving Galarian Slowbro weak to special attackers such as Primarina and Galarian Moltres. Galarian Slowbro can also easily become setup fodder for Pokemon like Calm Mind Reuniclus and Suicune. Furthermore, Galarian Slowbro faces even more competition with Reuniclus as a Calm Mind and Grassy Seed sweeper this isn't nearly as relevant anymore and can be removed because Reuniclus's ability Magic Guard allows it to negate damage from entry hazards and beat Pokemon like Celesteela more easily. Reuniclus is also not weak to Ground, easing the matchup against Pokemon like Mamoswine I would use Seismitoad or Gastrodon as your example here instead considering Mamo still does a number with any given attack and Nidoqueen.

[SET COMMENTS]

Calm Mind allows Galarian Slowbro to muscle through checks like Jirachi and Chansey maybe a different example here considering it takes a loooong time for it to muscle past Chansey. Scald is aimed at Ground-types such as Rhyperior and Krookodile. It also has a 30% chance to burn threats like Scizor and Kommo-o, easing up Galarian Slowbro's matchup against them and other physical attackers. Galarian Slowbro may opt for Flamethrower in place of Scald to hit Steel-types like Aegislash and Scizor harder, but it misses out on hitting Pokémon like Rhyperior super effectively and can't cripple Pokémon like Celesteela with burns as easily. Slack Off gives Galarian Slowbro longevity when trying to setup in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Mew. It also helps it to not rely solely on Regenerator as a form of recovery. Colbur Berry lets Galarian Slowbro take one super effective Dark-type attack give some examples here, like Zarude's STAB and/or Knock Off from Scizor/Incineroar allowing it to then KO the foe back with its coverage moves. A Shuca Berry allows Galarian Slowbro to eat one super effective Ground-type attack and face Ground-types like Nidoqueen and Mamoswine, crippling or KOing them with Scald. Safety Goggles is an option that lets Galarian Slowbro 1v1 Amoonguss and avoid being forced out by Spore. A Bold nature and the given EV spread help Galarian Slowbro when facing physical attackers such as Azumarill and Scizor.
Psyshock should definitely be mentioned here for its strong synergy with Flamethrower if opted for. Be sure to do this and to list examples of stuff it can hit/match up well against

Tapu Bulu is an exceptional teammate, granting Grassy Terrain support for Galarian Slowbro, and allowing it to face Ground-types like Mamoswine and Rhyperior more easily. Tapu Bulu also takes on dangerous threats like Crawdaunt for it, while Galarian Slowbro removes Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth for Tapu Bulu. The aforementioned Tapu Bulu can remove the Ground-types that bother Galarian Slowbro, such as Quagsire replace this with Seismitoad since it's more relevant and Gastrodon. Other Pokemon like Tangrowth, Nasty Plot Giga Drain Mew, and Grass Knot Thundurus consider something more standard since Grass Knot still isn't on the main Thundurus sets can also do this. Due to Galarian Slowbro's low Speed, pivots that can get it in safely against Pokemon it can setup on are ideal teammates. Jirachi and Scizor can U-turn in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Buzzwole. Raikou and Rotom-W can pivot out of Grass-types as well as offensively check Chandelure. Galarian Slowbro appreciates teammates that can take on Amoonguss and don't fear Spore, so partners like Safety Goggles Scizor are good. Hazard setters such as Mew and Kommo-o can set entry hazards, which help wear down Galarian Slowbro's checks, such as Jirachi and Tentacruel. Galarian Slowbro appreciates checks to Dark-types such as Krookodile and Crawdaunt, so teammates like Tapu Bulu maybe a different example here considering you already have Tapu Bulu as a special mention earlier in this section and Tangrowth can all remove them for Galarian Slowbro. Furthermore, Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth are great Knock Off absorbers so Galarian Slowbro can make use of its Colbur Berry properly. Entry hazard removal from the likes of Salamence and Rotom-W is needed, as it negates hazard damage for Galarian Slowbro. Strong wallbreakers like Choice Band Krookodile and Buzzwole can remove opposing Calm Mind sweepers like Suicune and Reuniclus for Galarian Slowbro, as it can't beat them 1v1.

Heavy-Duty Boots makes Galarian Slowbro negate hazard damage, letting it come in on the field more times to set up with Calm Mind. Grassy Seed allows Galarian Slowbro to boost its Defense and lets it setup more freely in front of Ground-types like Rhyperior. This set must be paired with the only viable Grassy Terrain setter available in Tapu Bulu. However, Galarian Slowbro can still be forced out of the field after Grassy Terrain has ended by threats like Mamoswine and Crawdaunt and it won't be able to boost its Defense again if it switches out. Nasty Plot sets with Sludge Wave / Fire Blast and either Psyshock or Grass Knot as the last move, with the former hitting Chansey and Chandelure and the latter hitting Krookodile harder can be opted for. This set runs Quick Claw as an item and Quick Draw as an ability which lets Galarian Slowbro bypass its Speed sometimes, but this makes it lose on a lot of bulk and it becomes extremely vulnerable to threats like Chandelure, Mamoswine, and Krookodile. Assault Vest is an option to boost Galarian Slowbro's Special Defense and allow it to take on Pokemon like Keldeo and Primarina more easily, but the loss in boosting options makes it passive, and being unable to heal damage from attacks and hazards without switching out can hinder its ability to act as a specially defensive sponge. The following EV spread of 252 HP / 112 Def / 40 SpA / 104 SpD with a Bold nature and after a Calm Mind, Galarian Slowbro can always take a Choice Specs Shadow Ball from Chandelure and KO it back after Stealth Rock damage. You may also choose to run Kasib Berry to ease the Chandelure matchup even more. note the drawbacks to doing this, which are that generally Ghost-type attacks are less common and its other options for berries are more consistently useful.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dark-types**: Choice Band Krookodile, Crawdaunt, and Galarian Moltres all scare Galarian Slowbro with their Dark-type attacks. Note that all of these Pokemon need to be wary of sustaining either a burn or poisoning from its attacks.

**Ground-types**: Seismitoad and Gastrodon resist or are immune to every move Galarian Slowbro carries. Quagsire has Unaware and doesn't care about Galarian Slowbro's boosts. Rhyperior, Mamoswine, and Krookodile can all remove Galarian Slowbro with their powerful Earthquake, but they have to be wary of Scald and potential burns. Furthermore, they should only be brought in to revenge kill it and when it is in range of being KO'ed by Earthquake and after Galarian Slowbro has had its item revealed, as Shuca Berry can bypass its Ground-type weakness.

**Powerful Special Attackers**: Threats like Choice Specs Primarina, Nasty Plot Thundurus, and Chandelure all take advantage of Galarian Slowbro's poor Special Defense before it can set up to dent it or KO it with their special moves. Note that they should all be wary of its coverage moves either dealing super effective damage or threatening to inflict status on them.

[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to its amazing ability, typing and access to Calm Mind, amazing ability and typing, Calm Mind Galarian Slowbro can act as a great late-game cleaner. Its useful defensive typing lets resistances let it stomach hits from the likes of Tapu Bulu and Amoonguss, while powerful offensive typing and its Poison STAB allows it to threaten Pokemon such as Primarina and Azumarill. Galarian Slowbro's decent bulk and ability let it come in multiple times to spam Sludge Bomb and Scald, annoying wearing checks like Jirachi and Gastrodon by wearing them down through potential poison and burns. This also lets it weaken and cripple It can do the same to offensive checks like Krookodile, Zarude, and Keldeo, which it can take a hit from and then switch out. Regenerator gives it more setup opportunities to use Calm Mind if it gets weakened or is forced out lets Galarian Slowbro easily set up even if it's been getting weakened or forced out early-game, and Galarian Slowbro becomes it's very difficult to take out once it gets going with Calm Mind. Its immunity to Toxic also contributes to its longevity. Being capable of using more than one resist Colbur or Shuca Berry forces Pokemon like Zarude and Mamoswine to scout for its specific Berries and work around Galarian Slowbro Berry. However, having a very low Speed for a sweeper leaves it vulnerable to being revenge killed by Pokemon like Krookodile, Diggersby, and Azumarill. Its special bulk is also not good before setting up one or two times, leaving Galarian Slowbro it weak to special attackers such as Primarina and Galarian Moltres. Galarian Slowbro can also easily become setup fodder for Pokemon like Calm Mind Reuniclus and Suicune. Furthermore, Galarian Slowbro faces even more competition with Reuniclus as a Calm Mind sweeper because Reuniclus's ability Magic Guard allows it to negate damage from entry hazards and of its Magic Guard and ability to beat Pokemon like Celesteela more easily. Reuniclus is also not weak to Ground, easing the matchup matchups against Pokemon like Gastrodon and Nidoqueen.

[SET COMMENTS]

Calm Mind allows Galarian Slowbro to muscle through checks like Jirachi and Gastrodon. Scald is aimed at Ground-types such as Rhyperior and Krookodile. It also has a 30% chance to burn physically offensive threats like Scizor and Kommo-o, easing up Galarian Slowbro's matchup against them and other physical attackers. Galarian Slowbro may opt for Flamethrower in place of Scald to hit Steel-types like Aegislash and Scizor harder, but it misses out on hitting Pokémon like Rhyperior super effectively and can't cripple Pokémon like Celesteela with burns as easily and more consistently burning Celesteela. Psyshock may also be considered since it has good for its synergy with Flamethrower, the former hitting Nihilego, Chansey, and Amoonguss, while the latter targets the aforementioned Steel-types. Slack Off gives Galarian Slowbro longevity when trying to setup in front of for posing a constant threat and setting up on Pokemon like Celesteela and Mew. It also helps it to not rely solely on Regenerator as a form of recovery. Colbur Berry lets Galarian Slowbro take one super effective Dark-type attack, like Zarude's Darkest Lariat and Scizor's Knock Off, allowing it to then KO the foe back with its coverage moves an attack like Zarude's Darkest Lariat or Scizor's Knock Off and KO back. A Shuca Berry allows Galarian Slowbro to eat one super effective Ground-type attack and face Ground-types like Nidoqueen and Mamoswine, crippling or KOing them with Scald Shuca Berry does the same against Ground-types like Nidoqueen and Mamoswine. Safety Goggles is an option that lets Galarian Slowbro 1v1 beat Amoonguss and avoid being forced out by Spore. A Bold nature and the given EV spread help Galarian Slowbro when facing against physical attackers such as Azumarill and Scizor.

Tapu Bulu is an exceptional teammate, (comma) granting Grassy Terrain support for Galarian Slowbro, and allowing it for its Grassy Terrain, which allows Glarian Slowbro to face Ground-types like Mamoswine and Rhyperior more easily. Tapu Bulu also takes on dangerous threats like Crawdaunt for it, while Galarian Slowbro removes Grass-types like Amoonguss and Tangrowth for Tapu Bulu. The aforementioned Tapu Bulu can remove the Ground-types that bother Galarian Slowbro, such as Seismitoad and Gastrodon. Other Pokemon like Tangrowth and Giga Drain Mew can also do this Tapu Bulu, Tangrowth, and Giga Drain Mew can remove Seismitoad and Gastrodon, some the largest Ground-type threats to Galarian Slowbro. Due to Galarian Slowbro's low Speed, pivots that can get it in safely against Pokemon it can setup on setup fodder are ideal teammates. Jirachi and Scizor can use U-turn in front of Pokemon like Celesteela and Buzzwole. Raikou and Rotom-W can pivot out of use Volt Switch on Grass-types as well as and offensively check Chandelure. Galarian Slowbro appreciates teammates that can take on Amoonguss and don't fear Spore, so partners like Safety Goggles Scizor are good. Safety Goggles Scizor takes on Amoonguss without fearing Spore. Hazard setters such as Mew and Kommo-o can set entry hazards, which help wear down Galarian Slowbro's checks, such as Jirachi and Tentacruel. Galarian Slowbro appreciates checks to Mienshao and Tangrowth checking Dark-types such as Krookodile and Crawdaunt, so teammates like Mienshao and Tangrowth can all remove them for Galarian Slowbro. Furthermore, Tapu Bulu and Tangrowth are great Knock Off absorbers so that let Galarian Slowbro can make use of its Colbur Berry properly.
