OU Galarian Slowking [GP 2/2]

Status
Not open for further replies.
[Overview]

Galarian Slowking's great defensive stats and Regenerator make it a very active specially defensive pivot that has decent offensive potential with its wide coverage options and Future Sight, separating it from other special walls like Blissey, Slowking, and Toxapex. Regenerator and good special bulk coupled with Assault Vest allow Galarian Slowking to act as a blanket special wall that can switch into powerful special attackers such as Heatran and eat super effective hits from foes like Dragapult and Nidoking. Galarian Slowking's diverse movepool makes it very difficult to switch into, since it can use Scald and Flamethrower to catch and punish Ground- and Steel-type switch-ins. Future Sight, in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald, makes Galarian Slowking excellent at annoying teams with status, coverage, and supporting wallbreakers. However, Galarian Slowking has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check, such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko.

[SET]
name: Assault Vest
move 1: Future Sight / Psychic
move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Flamethrower
move 4: Scald / Ice Beam
item: Assault Vest
ability: Regenerator
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 12 Def / 124 SpA / 120 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Future Sight synergizes with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break through Pokemon such as Toxapex and Buzzwole. The combination of Future Sight and Sludge Bomb also allows Galarian Slowking to easily break through and damage Substitute users like Zapdos. However, Psychic can be used for more immediate damage against Toxapex and Urshifu-R. Flamethrower punishes Steel-type switch-ins to Future Sight like Ferrothorn and Corviknight. Scald punishes Ground-types such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Excadrill with a potential burn and chips down Heatran. Hydro Pump is a notable option, as its power allows Galarian Slowking to 3HKO specially defensive Heatran and 2HKO defensive Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippowdon, but it has lower accuracy and cannot burn foes like Scald. Ice Beam can replace Scald to specifically target Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus-T, Dragapult, and Garchomp. Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to act as a special tank, sponging hits from Fairy-types like Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini and threatening them with its STAB moves. The EV spread with a Calm nature and Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to tank two Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult and survive a Choice Band Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. However, if improving the Dragapult matchup is not necessary for the team, a Modest nature can be run for increased damage output.

Urshifu-R is a nice partner due to its ability to deal with Ground- and Dark-types that threaten Galarian Slowking. In return, Galarian Slowking helps Urshifu-R break through opposing teams with Future Sight and status. Dragapult greatly appreciates Galarian Slowking's ability to switch into bulky Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable. Moreover, Galarian Slowking can cripple walls such as Hippowdon and Tyranitar with Scald, empowering Dragapult's Hex and increasing its wallbreaking potential when paired with Future Sight. Partners that can absorb Knock Off such as Corviknight and Clefable also pair well with Galarian Slowking. Corviknight and Tangrowth in particular are also good switch-ins to Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Garchomp. Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn and Skarmory appreciate Galarian Slowking pressuring most entry hazard removers with status from Scald and Sludge Bomb. In return, Galarian Slowking appreciates Spikes wearing down switch-ins such as Heatran, Tyranitar, and opposing Galarian Slowking in conjunction with its ability to spread status.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====

Earthquake is an option with a Sassy nature to easily 2HKO specially defensive Heatran. However, this move is very situational and results in Galarian Slowking losing important coverage. Calm Mind and Slack Off turns Galarian Slowking into a bulky special sweeper that is able to break past switch-ins such as Corviknight and opposing Galarian Slowking. Whirlpool can trap Toxapex, opposing Galarian Slowking, and Clefable, particularly punishing Toxapex and Clefable for staying in and using Knock Off.

Checks and Counters
====

**Dark-types**: Dark-types such as Bisharp, Weavile, and Hydreigon can switch into Future Sight and threaten a KO on Galarian Slowking with their STAB attacks. However, most of these Pokemon do not appreciate switching into Flamethrower, Scald, or Sludge Bomb. Tyranitar is able to easily switch into Galarian Slowking if it is not running Scald.

**Ground-types**: Common Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Excadrill easily threaten Galarian Slowking with Earthquake. However, these Pokemon do not appreciate switching into its Water- or Ice-type coverage moves.

**Knock Off**: Knock Off users such as Clefable, Tornadus-T, and Toxapex can remove Galarian Slowking's Assault Vest on an expected switch, limiting its ability to check them as well as other special attackers such as Tapu Koko.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Galarian Slowking's low physical defense, it is susceptible to being forced out by physical attackers such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Landorus-T, and Garchomp. Psyshock users such as Tapu Lele also exploit Galarian Slowking's low Defense. However, none of these Pokemon appreciate switching into Scald or Sludge Bomb.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Blissey easily switches into Future Sight and heals off the damage with Recover; it also has Heal Bell or Natural Cure to remove Galarian Slowking's status. Corviknight cannot be 2HKOed by Flamethrower from non-setup sets and is able to PP stall Galarian Slowking. Heatran can trap Galarian Slowking and chip it down greatly, which is especially problematic on sets lacking Water coverage. Slowking can switch in easily and use Future Sight and Teleport against Galarian Slowking.

AM Check! Implement what you wish (Or dont implement anything yet cause Abhi will go over this check...)
Comments

[Overview]
  • Slowking-Galar's great defensive stats, unique typing, and wide movepool make it a very versatile attacker in SS OU I think you should focus a bit more on the special wall (prob not a wall but you get what i mean) aspect in this point. The characteristics you listed also work for this so just re-work the ending.
  • Slowking-Galar's special bulk allows in it to switch into the likes of Fairy types such as Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini, threatening them with an OHKO or massive chip with Sludge Bomb
  • With access to Regenerator, Slowking-Galar is easily able to act as a Future Sight absorber, which limits the team breaking capability of specially offensive Pokemon paired with Future Sight such as Tapu Koko. Imo you could condense this with the point above and overall talk about how it compresses the roles of a fairy-type check and future sight absorber.
  • It's typing is excellent offensively, allowing Slowking-Galar to fire off largely unresisted STAB Sludge Bombs and Future Sights, while defensively prevents it from being poisoned. Again, you should be focusing a bit more on the wall aspect than attacker.
  • With access to a wide variety of coverage moves such as Scald and Flamethrower, Slowking is able to utilize it's high special attack stat to punish Pokemon that may try to switch into it
  • This may include Dark types such as Bisharp and Hydreigon, as well as Steel types such as Ferrothorn, Heatran, and Corviknight You could merge these 3 sentences and overall talk about its good movepool (You can start with its stab combination and then go about how its coverage moves allow it to eliminate any possible switch-in)
  • Future Sight in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald make Slowking-Galar an excellent choice for a Pokemon that is able to cripple and break down teams to allow a partner Pokemon to wallbreak and sweep.
  • However, Slowking-Galar faces competition from other Future Sight setters such as Slowbro and Slowking, which boast access to Teleport enabling them to ultimately be more adept at bringing powerful wallbreakers into battle safely in conjunction with Future Sight. Tbh you should just talk about Slowking since Slowbro is kinda dead, and even then bro focus on the physical side. Add something about Slowking having access to a more reliable recovery that doesnt depend on switching (Slack Off) as well
  • As a result, Slowking-Galar is often an inferior choice due to the lack of it's ability to generate momentum for wall breaking. However, it's ability to cripple opposing teams with it's wide coverage is able to compensate for this shortcoming.
  • Maybe talk about how it depends on AV to accomplish its role, meaning it has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and that it can get AV removed trying to switch into stuff its supposed to check like clef

Overall, this intro is a bit large, thats why i suggested merging some points together, and lacks a bit of what makes Slowking-Galar bad or an inferior choice to Slowking

[SET]
name: Assault Vest
move 1: Future Sight / Psychic
move 2: Sludge Bomb
move 3: Flamethrower
move 4: Scald / Hydro Pump / Ice Beam
item: Assault Vest
ability: Regenerator
nature: Calm
evs: 252 HP / 76 SpA / 176 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
  • 252 HP EVs and 176 SpD EVs coupled with a Calm Nature and Assault Vest allow Slowking-Galar to tank 2 Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult, as well as 3 Thunderbolts from Tapu Koko. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to help increase the chip damage Slowking-Galar can do You should make this the last point imo
  • Future Sight may be used along with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break opposing teams, however Psychic may be used for more immediate damage to Poison-Type Pokemon like Toxapex and Nidoking.
  • Sludge Bomb is a very spammable STAB attack for Slowking-Galar, allowing it to severely chip bulky Fairy-Types such as Clefable and Tapu Fini, while OHKOing Tapu Koko, and notably being able to break Kyurem's Substitute. It can also be used to fish for poison on opposing Pokemon for extra residual damage.
  • Flamethrower can be used to punish Steel-Type Pokemon that would normally attempt to switch into Slowking-Galar on an expected Future Sight. While Flamethrower may not be able to do much to Corviknight, it as able to severely chip down Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Bisharp, and Aegislash.
  • Scald is used to punish switch-ins to opposing Ground-Type such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Excadrill, chipping them down and possibly crippling them with burn. It may also be used to chip down Heatran, which is otherwise unaffected by most of Slowking-Galar's moves.
  • Hydro Pump may also be used to greatly chip Heatran at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon And lower accuracy
  • Ice Beam can also replace Scald with the goal of punishing Ground-Type switchins to Pokemon such as Landorus-Therian and Garchomp. Talk more about how it can outright eliminate Chomp and Lando-T and not Ground-types overall (Why should i use Ice Beam over Scald then?)

  • Dragapult greatly appreciates Slowking-Galar's ability to deal with bulky Fairy types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable. In return, Slowking-Galar can aid Dragapult's ability to break down opposing teams by crippling their walls with status. This not only allows Dragapult to have full power Hexes, but also gives it devastating breaking ability when paired with Future Sight.
  • Urshifu-R is also a nice partner due to it's ability to deal with Ground and Dark types with may threaten Slowking-Galar. In return Slowking-Galar can help eliminate Regenerator Pokemon like Toxapex and Tangrowth with Future Sight and Sludge Bomb respectively.
  • Partners that can absorb Knock-Off for Slowking-Galar also pair well with it. Corviknight, Mandibuzz, Imo drop Mandi; Corviknight is just outright better. and Tangrowth in particular also allow good switch-ins to Ground-Types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Garchomp. Clefable may also be used to deal with likes of Weavile, and in return appreciates Slowking-Galar removing other bulky Fairy- and Poison-Types. You might want to change this since Clef gets decimated by +2 Triple Axel with very little chip damage (Maybe add a different example?)
  • Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn appreciate the pressure Slowking-Galar can provide versus most forms of entry hazard removal by fishing for Scald burns and Sludge Bomb poisons to limit their longevity.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
====
  • Earthquake is also a potential option on Slowking-Galar as it may be used to easily 2HKO specially defensive Heatran. In such a case, Slowking-Galar can run a Sassy Nature to maximize Earthquake damage without sacrificing bulk. Mention that it offers very little aside from this and means that Glowking loses important coverage
  • Slowking-Galar's access to Calm Mind, Nasty Plot, and Trick Room allow it to break past Pokemon that would normally switch into it. Imo just focus on Calm Mind and the fact that Glowking is an incredible wincon with it and Slack off due to its typing and good coverage options
  • At +2 Slowking Galar is easily able to 2HKO Specially Defensive Corviknight with Flamethrower, can OHKO Specially Defensive Toxapex with Psychic, and can OHKO defensive Ground-Types such as Landorus-T and Hippowdon with Hydro Pump.

Checks and Counters
====

**Dark-type Pokemon**: Dark types such as Bisharp, Weavile, Hydreigon, and Crawdaunt You can drop Crawdaunt; its a very fringe option may switch into an expected Future Sight and threaten a KO on Slowking-Galar with their STAB attacks. However Bisharp and Weavile do not appreciate switching into a Flamethrower while Hydreigon and Crawdaunt do not appreciate switching into a Sludge Bomb. You could re-work this into something like "However, none of these threats likes switching into Slowking Galar, as..." etc so you dont repeat the same thing

**Knock Off**: Slowking-Galar does not appreciate having it's Assault Vest Knocked-Off, which would limit its ability to check special attacking Pokemon such as Tapu Koko. Due to it's low defenses it also risks getting KO'd or severely chipped by the likes of Rillaboom and Kartana.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Slowking-Galar's low physical defense, it is susceptible to being worn down or KO'd by physical attackers such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Landorus-T and Garchomp. It is also important to note that Slowking-Galar can also get worn down by strong special attackers which have access to Psyshock, such as Tapu-Lele which can target Slowking-Galar's weaker defenses. However, none of these Pokemon appreciate switching into Scald or Sludge Bomb.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Pokemon such as Blissey are easily able to switch into Future Sight and Recover off the damage, it is also able to heal off any sort of status that Slowking-Galar may inflict on it either by using Heal Bell, or activating Natural Cure. Corviknight is able to prevent getting 2HKO'd by Flamethrower on non-boosting sets and is able PP stall out Slowking-Galar's attacks. Heatran is also able to trap Slowking-Galar and can chip it down greatly, which can especially be problematic on sets lacking Water-type coverage.

**Dark-type Pokemon**: Dark types such as Bisharp, Weavile, Hydreigon, and Crawdaunt You can drop Crawdaunt; its a very fringe option WTF IS THIS CRAWDAUNT SLANDER, but yes its not worth mentioning may switch into an expected Future Sight and threaten a KO on Slowking-Galar with their STAB attacks. [Overview]

Slowking-Galar's great defensive stats, unique typing, and wide movepool make it a very versatile Special Tank that can compress the role of a Fairy-type check and Future Sight absorber into one. Slowking-Galar's special bulk, in conjunction with Regenerator make it an excellent Assault Vest into it's STAB user that can switch into common Fairy-type Pokemon such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko. Slowking-Galar's diverse movepool makes it very hard to switch into since it can use Scald and Flamethrower to catch and punish Dark- Ground- and Steel-types attempting to switch moves. Future Sight in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald make Slowking-Galar an excellent choice for a Pokemon that is able to cripple and break down teams to allow a partner Pokemon to wallbreak and sweep. Slowking-Galar faces competition from other Future Sight setters like Slowking, which boasts access to Teleport and can utilize Slack Off for better longevity. Slowking-Galar also has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without an Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check such as Clefable and Tapu Fini. While it is often an inferior choice due to its inability to generate momentum well i wouldnt say it cant generate momentum cuz its a pivot, it forces out a lot of pokemon and need to consistently switch out so id say its a pivot. for wall breaking, and being forced to switch out for Regenerator recovery, it's ability to cripple opposing teams with it's wide coverage is able to compensate for this shortcoming.

[SET COMMENTS]

Assault Vest allows Slowking-Galar to act as a special tank, sponging hits from the likes of Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini, threatening them out with it's STAB moves. Future Sight may be used along with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break opposing teams, however Psychic may be used for more immediate damage to Poison-Type Pokemon like Toxapex and Nidoking. Sludge Bomb is a very spammable STAB attack for Slowking-Galar, allowing it to severely chip bulky Fairy-Types such as Clefable and Tapu Fini, while OHKOing Tapu Koko, and notably being able to break Kyurem's Substitute. It can also be used to fish for poison on opposing Pokemon for extra residual damage no need to mention that its stab its already known, you can keep the comment about it being able to break kyurems sub tho. Flamethrower can be used to punish Steel-Type Pokemon that would normally attempt to switch into Slowking-Galar on an expected Future Sight. While Flamethrower may not be able to do much to Corviknight, it is able to severely chip down Pokemon such as Ferrothorn, Bisharp, and Aegislash. unnescessary. Scald is used to punish switch-ins to opposing Ground-Types such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Excadrill, chipping them down and possibly crippling them with burn. It may also be used to chip down Heatran, which is otherwise unaffected by most of Slowking-Galar's moves. Hydro Pump may also be used to greatly chip Heatran and other Ground- and Fire-types at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon and lower accuracy. Ice Beam can also replace Scald as a higher power move that can cover Ground-Type switch-ins such as Hippowdon, and severely chip down common Pokemon like Landorus-Therian and Garchomp. 252 HP EVs and 176 SpD EVs coupled with a Calm Nature and Assault Vest allow Slowking-Galar to tank 2 Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult, as well as 3 Thunderbolts from Tapu Koko 252 SpA Tapu Koko Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 176+ SpD Assault Vest Slowking-Galar in Electric Terrain: 75-88 (19 - 22.3%) -- possible 5HKO
. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to help increase the chip damage Slowking-Galar can do

Dragapult greatly appreciates Slowking-Galar's ability to switch into bulky Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable. In return, Slowking-Galar can aid Dragapult's ability to break down opposing teams by crippling their walls with status. This not only allows Dragapult to have full power Hexes, but also gives it devastating breaking ability when paired with Future Sight. Urshifu-R is also a nice partner due to it's ability to deal with Ground and Dark types with may threaten Slowking-Galar. In return Slowking-Galar can help Urshifu break through opposing teams by setting up Future Sight and status fishing. Partners that can absorb Knock-Off for Slowking-Galar also pair well with it. Corviknight and Tangrowth in particular also allow good switch-ins to Ground-Types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Garchomp. Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn and Skarmory appreciate the pressure Slowking-Galar can provide versus most forms of entry hazard removal by fishing for Scald burns and Sludge Bomb poisons to limit their longevity. Slowking-Galar also appreciates both of these Pokemon switching into Ground-type moves and in return can switch into Fighting- and special Electric-type moves. unnescessary, you can mention how spikes can wear down some of its checks which can be very useful and make it just more annoying.

Earthquake is a potential option on Slowking-Galar as it may be used to easily 2HKO specially defensive Heatran. In such a case, Slowking-Galar can run a Sassy Nature to maximize Earthquake damage without sacrificing bulk. However, this move is very situational aside from this case and results in Slowking-Galar losing important coverage. Slowking-Galar's access to Calm Mind and Slack-Off allow it to break past Pokemon that would normally switch into it, turning Slowking-Galar into a bulky special sweeper. It's low speed tier and access to Trick Room also allows it to utilize it's good special attack on dedicated Trick Room teams. While most of these options provide a unique niche for Slowking-Galar, they fall short to the Assault Vest set due to the unreliability of these sets versus a wide majority of the metagame, thus these options are situational at best.

Checks and Counters
====

**Dark-type Pokemon**: Dark types such as Bisharp, Weavile, and Hydreigon may switch into an expected Future Sight and threaten a KO on Slowking-Galar with their STAB attacks. However, most of these Pokemon do not appreciate switching into a Flamethrower, Scald, or Sludge Bomb.

**Knock Off**: Pokemon that can run Knock Off such as Clefable and Tornadus-T may be able to remove Slowking-Galar's Assault Vest on an expected switch in. This would consequently limit its ability to check these Pokemon, as well as other special attackers such as Tapu Koko.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Slowking-Galar's low physical defense, it is susceptible to being forced out by physical attackers such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Landorus-T and Garchomp.

[Overview]

Slowking-Galar's great defensive stats, unique typing, and wide movepool make it a very versatile Special Tank that can compress the role of a Fairy-type check and Future Sight absorber into one. not sure why there's emphasis on these two things specifically in ur first sentence - i feel like u should be focusing on the spdef use compared to other walls and the offensive potential given by its coverage and future sight. u can mention checking fairies + absorbing fs in a later sentence but that's not the main reason why gking is good Slowking-Galar's special bulk, in conjunction with Regenerator make it an excellent Assault Vest user that can switch into common Fairy-type Pokemon such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko. instead of focusing on fairies here, i think itd be good to emphasize its use as a blanket special wall being able to take on seemingly unwallable shit like kyurem and heatran while even eating supereffective hits from stuff like pult and nidoking Slowking-Galar's diverse movepool makes it very hard to switch into since it can use Scald and Flamethrower to catch and punish Ground- and Steel-types attempting to switch into it's STAB moves. Future Sight in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald make Slowking-Galar an excellent choice for a Pokemon that is able to cripple and break down teams to allow a partner Pokemon to wallbreak and sweep. Slowking-Galar faces competition from other Future Sight setters like Slowking, which boasts access to Teleport and can utilize Slack Off for better longevity. unnecessary as there's only one other fs user. i would rather see why you'd use gking as compared to other special walls. what can it offer that blissey, slowking, or pex can't? Slowking-Galar also has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without an Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check such as Clefable and Tapu Fini. While it is often an inferior choice due to being forced to switch out for Regenerator recovery, Slowking-Galar's ability to cripple opposing teams with it's wide coverage is able to compensate for this shortcoming. reword this sentence - gking isn't really an inferior choice and the teams it's used on care less about the lack of reliable recovery when using it mostly as a pivot

Assault Vest allows Slowking-Galar to act as a special tank, sponging hits from the likes of Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini, threatening them out with it's STAB moves. Future Sight may be used along with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break opposing teams, good to mention specific fs targets here (pex, buzzwole, skarm, etc) however Psychic may be used for more immediate damage to Poison-Type Pokemon like Toxapex and Nidoking. Sludge Bomb is notably able to break Kyurem's Substitute and can be used to fish for poison on opposing Pokemon for extra residual damage. unnecessary - iyw u can talk about how status spreading with sludge + scald makes gking a pain to switch into later in the paragraph Flamethrower can be used to punish Steel-Type Pokemon that would normally attempt to switch into Slowking-Galar on an expected Future Sight. Hydro Pump may also be used to greatly chip Heatran and other Ground- and Fire-types at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon and lower accuracy. notable calc differences? Ice Beam can also replace Scald as a higher power move that can cover Ground-Type switch-ins such as Hippowdon, and severely chip down common Pokemon specifically targets Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus-Therian, (AC) Dragapult, (AC) and Garchomp. 252 HP EVs and 176 SpD EVs coupled with a Calm Nature and Assault Vest allow Slowking-Galar to tank 2 Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to help increase the chip damage Slowking-Galar can do maximize its offensive presence.

Slowking-Galar also appreciates both of these Pokemon setting up Spikes and chipping down it's switch-ins what switchins specifically? which is excellent to wear down opposing teams in conjunction with Slowking-Galar's status fishing.

Unlike other special walls in the tier like Blissey, Slowking, and Toxapex which are passive in nature, Galarian Slowking provides a unique option of being an active pivot that is able to status opposing teams and set up Future Sights for teammates. Hydro Pump may can also be used to greatly chip Heatran and other Ground- and Fire-types at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon and lower accuracy.(i think the point of lower accuracy can be scratched entirely, we all know that) Unlike Scald, Hydro Pump allows Galarian Slowking to 3HKO Specially Defensive (lower case on specially defensive) Heatran, and can 2HKO defensive Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippowdon. Ice Beam can also replace Scald as a higher power move that specifically targets Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus-Therian, Dragapult, and Garchomp. 252 HP EVs 12 Def EVs and 120 SpD EVs coupled with a Calm Nature and Assault Vest allow Galarian Slowking to tank 2 Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult and also allow it to live 1 Choice Banded Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to maximize its offensive presence.

I would switch the MAY BE USED more with like "can be used" or "alternatively" or "is an alternative" to not repeat wording so the analysis reads more fluently and it still hits the point in english, you should go over this if you want and replace some of them, as ive already did with a few

Galarian Slowking also appreciates both of these Pokemon setting up Spikes and chipping down it's switch-ins such as opposing Galarian Slowking, Heatran, and Tyranitar which is excellent to wear down opposing teams in conjunction with Galarian Slowking's status fishing.

for pokemon typings its always Ground- and Dark-types such as.....after the typing there is always a dash followed by types in lower case to help you out in the future - I would go over it again and add the missing dashes and making the word types lower cased.

also as a further notice when talking about The Special Defense then its capitalized, but when you talk about specially defensive pokemonxyz its lower cased, example above: specially defensive Heatran.

Hope these tipps helped you for the future :)

Earthquake is a potential option on Galarian Slowking as it may be used to easily 2HKO specially defensive Heatran. In such a case, Galarian Slowking can run a Sassy Nature to maximize Earthquake damage without sacrificing bulk. However, this move is very situational aside from this case and results in Galarian Slowking losing important coverage. Galarian Slowking's access to Calm Mind and Slack-Off allows it to to turn into a bulky special sweeper that is able to break past Pokemon that would normally switch into it such as Corviknight and opposing Galarian Slowking.

Checks and Counters
====

**Dark-type Pokemon**: Dark-types (add dash) such as Bisharp, Weavile, and Hydreigon may switch into an expected Future Sight and threaten a KO on Galarian Slowking with their STAB attacks. However, most of these Pokemon do not appreciate switching into a Flamethrower, Scald, or Sludge Bomb. Tyranitar is also able to easily switch into non-Scald Galarian Slowking variant.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Common Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Excadrill easily threaten Galarian Slowking out with Earthquake. However, these Pokemon do not appreciate switching into its Water or Ice coverage moves.

**Knock Off**: Pokemon that can run Knock Off such as Clefable, Tornadus-T, and Toxapex may be able to remove Galarian Slowking's Assault Vest on an expected switch in. This would consequently limit its ability to check these Pokemon, as well as other special attackers such as Tapu Koko.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Galarian Slowking's low physical defense, it is susceptible to being forced out by physical attackers such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Landorus-T and Garchomp. It is also important to note that Galarian Slowking can also get worn down by strong special attackers which have access to Psyshock, such as Tapu-Lele (remove the dash, its Tapu Lele) which can target Galarian Slowking's weaker defenses. (weaker defensive side) However, none of these Pokemon appreciate switching into Scald or Sludge Bomb.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Pokemon such as Blissey are easily able to switch into Future Sight and Recover off the damage, it is also able to heal off any sort of status that Galarian Slowking may inflict on it either by using Heal Bell, or activating Natural Cure. Corviknight is able to prevent getting 2HKO'd by Flamethrower on non-boosting sets and is able PP stall out Galarian Slowking's attacks. Heatran is also able to trap Galarian Slowking and can chip it down greatly, which can especially be problematic on sets lacking Water-type coverage. Opposing Slowking may also be able to switch in easily and get off a Future Sight and Teleport as well.

I would change the 'mays' in the check & counter section which are used alot to other words perhaps to make it sound better, as currently it just sounds so - idk how to find a better word for it - repeat-ish, if you understwand what I mean.

[Overview]

Galarian Slowking's great defensive stats and access to Regenerator make it a very active special pivot that has decent offensive potential with it's wide coverage options and Future Sight. Regenerator and good special bulk, coupled with Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to act as a blanket special wall that can switch into powerful special attackers such as Kyurem and Heatran, while also being able to eat supereffective hits from the likes of Dragapult and Nidoking. Galarian Slowking's diverse movepool makes it very hard to switch into since it can use Scald and Flamethrower to catch and punish Ground- and Steel-types attempting to switch into its STAB moves. Future Sight, in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald make Galarian Slowking an excellent choice for a Pokemon that is able to annoy teams with status and coverage, while also supporting wall breaking teammates. Unlike other special walls in the tier like Blissey, Slowking, and Toxapex which are passive in nature, Galarian Slowking provides a unique option of being an active pivot being an offensive presence that is able to status opposing teams and set up Future Sights for teammates. However, Galarian Slowking has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without an Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check such as Clefable and Tapu Fini (add koko here too). Outside of this issue, Galarian Slowking's ability to tank hits and cripple opposing teams with it's wide coverage establish it as a versatile pivot in SS OU.

Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to act as a special tank, sponging hits from the likes of Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini and threatening them out with it's STAB moves. Future Sight may be used along with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break through Pokemon such as Toxapex, Buzzwole, and Skarmory. The combination of Future Sight and Sludge Bomb also allows Galarian Slowking to easily break through and damage Substitute users like Kyurem, Zapdos, and Moltres (molt is irrelevant nowadays). However, Psychic may be used for more immediate damage to Toxapex and Urshifu-R. Flamethrower can be used to punish Steel-Type Pokemon (mention ferro and corv here) that would normally attempt to switch into Galarian Slowking on an expected Future Sight. Scald is used to punish switch-ins to opposing Ground-Types such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Excadrill, chipping them down and possibly crippling them with burn. It may also be used to chip down Heatran, which is otherwise unaffected by most of Galarian Slowking's moves. Hydro Pump may also be used to greatly chip Heatran and other Ground- and Fire-types at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon and lower accuracy. Unlike Scald, Hydro Pump allows Galarian Slowking to 3HKO Specially Defensive Heatran, and can 2HKO defensive Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippowdon. (Add here that if the dragapult threshold is not necessary for the team, you can use a Modest nature to nuke stuff with FS and hit harder in general)

Dragapult greatly appreciates Galarian Slowking's ability to switch into bulky Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable. In return, Galarian Slowking can aid Dragapult's ability to break down opposing teams by crippling their walls (who specifically?) with status. This not only allows Dragapult to have full power Hexes, but also gives it devastating breaking ability when paired with Future Sight. Urshifu-R is also a nice partner due to it's ability to deal with Ground and Dark types with may threaten Galarian Slowking. In return Galarian Slowking can help Urshifu break through opposing teams by setting up Future Sight and status fishing. (move this to the first mention, as Shifu + GKing is one of the most notorious pairings in OU) Partners that can absorb Knock-Off for Slowking-Galar also pair well with it (add corv/clef here). [Overview]

Galarian Slowking's great defensive stats and access to Regenerator make it a very active strong (I'm not too sure what "very active" means in this context. GKing is for sure an active pivot, but that's because of its offense. Something like "strong" or another synonym of your choice would be better here) special pivot that has decent offensive potential with it's wide coverage options and Future Sight. Regenerator and good special bulk, coupled with an Assault Vest, (add comma before "coupled" and after "Vest") allows Galarian Slowking to act as a blanket special wall (either say "blanket check to special attackers" or "special wall") that can switch into powerful special attackers such as Kyurem and Heatran (remove comma) while also being able to eat super effective (add space) hits from the likes of Dragapult and Nidoking. Galarian Slowking's diverse movepool makes it very hard to switch into since it can use Scald and Flamethrower to catch and punish Ground- and Steel-types attempting to switch into its STAB moves. Future Sight, in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as Sludge Bomb and Scald, (add comma) make Galarian Slowking an excellent choice to annoy teams with status and coverage, while also supporting wall breaking teammates support option for wallbreakers (no need to talk about status twice in the same sentence, and I think it reads much better this way). Unlike other special walls in the tier like Blissey, Slowking, and Toxapex, (add comma) which are passive in nature, Galarian Slowking provides a unique, option of being an (add comma after "unique") offensive presence that is able to status opposing teams and set up Future Sights for teammates (you already said this). However, Galarian Slowking has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without an Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko. You seem to have issues with making sentences quite verbose, mainly rooted in either weasel words or repeating information that has already been established. I have the issue myself sometimes, and it's a bit difficult to see it in your own eyes. Your transitional phrases are very good, though!

You also tend to misuse apostrophised "it's", which is an abbreviated form of "it is" or "it has", not notation for possession. You do a similar thing with really odd hyphen usage.

I've noticed that from what I've seen with your other analyses, your writing appears to lack confidence and definitives. This can be counterproductive when attempting to sell a Pokemon to the reader. Rather than express a clear-cut problem with "this nuclear bomb can be an issue", be expressive and bold with something like "this nuclear bomb is especially problematic for Galarian Slowking, forcing it out". With stronger wording, you persuade the writer to not only trust you, but also absorb the information more conclusively. It's good to be open-ended when you know a strategy is developing and want people to play with it, but don't lose the cold hard facts in the process! You can shorten your sentences much more easily with definitive statements too, as you don't have to shy behind things like "may also do x", etc, and instead do "will x". See? Two words down just off that.

Finally, remember order force.

[Overview]

Galarian Slowking's great defensive stats and access to Regenerator make it a very active strong special pivot; additionally, it that (this is mainly for flow purposes, this sentence runs on a good bit) has decent offensive potential with it's (RA, read this) wide coverage options and Future Sight. Regenerator, Assault Vest, and good special bulk coupled with Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to act as a blanket (this doesn't rly mean anything here, esp when you proceed to get specific right after) special wall that can switch into powerful special attackers such as Pokemon like Kyurem and Heatran, while also being able to eat take super (space)effective hits from the likes of Dragapult and Nidoking. Galarian Slowking's diverse movepool makes it very hard to switch into since because it can use Scald and or Flamethrower to catch and punish Ground- and Steel-types attempting to switch into its STAB moves. Future Sight, in conjunction with status inflicting moves such as pairs well with Sludge Bomb's (diff things owned so double possessive) and Scald's status effects to help make Galarian Slowking an excellent choice to annoy teams with status and coverage, while also supporting its wallbreaking(spacing) teammates. Unlike other special walls in the tier like Blissey, Slowking, and Toxapex—which are passive in nature—Galarian Slowking provides a the unique option of being an offensive presence that is able to status opposing teams and set up Future Sights for teammates at once. (Not QC but is this right? Johtonian Slowking gets Future Sight. All of them can status too, though not as well, which I assume is what you mean?) However, Galarian Slowking has a crippling weakness to Knock Off, and without an Assault Vest, it can quickly get overwhelmed by Pokemon it is supposed to check such as Clefable, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Koko. Outside of this issue, Galarian Slowking's ability to tank hits and cripple opposing teams with it's (RA) wide coverage establish it as a versatile pivot in SS OU.

[SET COMMENTS]

Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to act as a special tank, (you refer to it as a pivot in the overview, not sure if contradictory or not but I thought I'd point it out as the roles are a bit different) sponging hits from the likes of Clefable, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini and threatening forcing (definitive, less syllables) them out with it's STAB moves. Future Sight may be used along with powerful attackers like Urshifu-R and Bisharp to break through Pokemon such as Toxapex and Buzzwole. The combination of Future Sight and Sludge Bomb also allows Galarian Slowking to easily break through and damage Substitute users like Kyurem and Zapdos. However, Psychic may be used for more immediate damage towards Toxapex and Urshifu-R. Flamethrower can be used to punish Steel-type Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Corviknight that would normally attempt to switch into Galarian Slowking on an expected Future Sight. (Future Sight being used implies GKing is in play already) Scald is used to punish switch-ins to from opposing Ground-types such as Hippowdon, Landorus, and Excadrill, chipping them down and possibly crippling them with burn. It may also be used to chip down Heatran, which is otherwise unaffected by most of Galarian Slowking's moves. Hydro Pump may also be used to greatly chip damage (surely the damage is more than just chip with hpump?) Heatran and other Ground- and or Fire-types at the price for being unable to fish for burns on other Pokemon and lower accuracy cost of accuracy and the lack of a burn chance. Unlike Scald, Hydro Pump allows Galarian Slowking to 3HKO specially defensive Heatran, and can 2HKO defensive Ground-types like Landorus-T and Hippowdon. Ice Beam can also replace Scald as a higher power stronger move that specifically targets Ground- and Dragon-types like Landorus-Therian, Dragapult, and Garchomp. 252 HP EVs 12 Def EVs and 120 SpD EVs coupled with a Calm Nature The given bulk investment and Assault Vest allows Galarian Slowking to tank 2 two Choice Specs Shadow Balls from Dragapult and also allow it to live 1 a Choice Banded Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. The remaining EVs are put into Special Attack to maximize its offensive presence. However, if the Dragapult threshold is not necessary for the team, a Modest nature can be run for increased damage with Future Sight. and in general.

Urshifu-R is also a nice partner due to it's (RA) ability to deal with Ground- (AH) and Dark-types (RH) with may threaten Galarian Slowking. In return, (AC) Galarian Slowking can help Urshifu-R (not sure if this is necessary given the preposition but ig we can idiot-proof it) break through opposing teams by setting up Future Sight and status fishing spreading status. Dragapult greatly appreciates Galarian Slowking's ability to switch into bulky Fairy-types such as Tapu Fini and Clefable. In return contrast, (reducing repetition since you put this in before) Galarian Slowking can aid Dragapult's ability to in breaking down opposing teams by crippling walls such as Hippowdon and Tyranitar with Scald burns. This not only allows boosts Dragapult's to have full power Hexes, but also gives it devastating wallbreaking ability when paired with Future Sight. Partners that can absorb Knock-Off (RH) for Galarian Slowking, (AC)-Galar such as Corviknight and Clefable, (AC) also pair well with it. Corviknight and Tangrowth in particularly also allow good switch-ins (I don't like this phrasing but it also seems difficult to reword) to Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Garchomp. Entry hazard setters such as Ferrothorn and Skarmory appreciate the pressure Galarian Slowking can provide versus against most forms of entry hazard removal by fishing for Scald burns and Sludge Bomb poisons status with Scald or Sludge Bomb to limit their longevity. Galarian Slowking also appreciates both of these Pokemon setting up Spikes and chipping down it's (RA) switch-ins, (AC) such as opposing Galarian Slowking, Heatran, and Tyranitar. which is excellent to wear down opposing teams in conjunction with Galarian Slowking's status fishing. (this appears to be well-established and can arguably be merged into the previous sentence with a little tinkering. Maybe something like "Galarian Slowking's ability to spread status with Scald and Sludge Bomb helps it support hazard setters like Ferrothorn and Skarmory; moreover, the hazard damage they provide augments the damage Slowking's checks will receive if they take status when switching in.". There's a lot you can do here.)

Earthquake is a potential option on Galarian Slowking as it may be used to easily Galarian Slowking can use Earthquake to 2HKO specially defensive Heatran. In such a case, Galarian Slowking can run a Sassy nature to maximize Earthquake damage without sacrificing bulk. However, this move is very situational aside from this case and results in Galarian Slowking losing important coverage. Galarian Slowking's access to Calm Mind and Slack-Off (RH) allows it to to turn into function as a bulky special sweeper that is able to break past Pokemon that would normally switch into it, (AC) such as Corviknight and opposing Galarian Slowking. Whirlpool may also can (unless whirlpool/slack/cm is a set but my common sense says no despite the odd preposition) be used to catch Toxapex, opposing Galarian Slowking, or Clefable who that attempt to go for a greedy use Knock Off. (obv not qc but maybe this situation can be elaborated on?)

Checks and Counters
====

**Dark-type Pokemon**: Dark-types (AH) such as Bisharp, Weavile, and Hydreigon may switch into an expected Future Sight and threaten a KO on Galarian Slowking with their STAB attacks moves. However, most of these Pokemon (maybe be more specific? what's excluded?) do not appreciate switching into a Flamethrower, Scald, or Sludge Bomb. Tyranitar is also able to easily switch into non-Scald Galarian Slowking variants.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Common Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Excadrill easily threaten force Galarian Slowking out with Earthquake.

This would consequently limit limits (if knock is revealed then the switch-in isn't safe in the first place, right? or am I misunderstanding? if I am, put "thereafter" after "Pokemon", which helps condense the sentence a bit) its ability to check these Pokemon, as well as other special attackers such as Tapu Koko.

**Strong Physical Attackers**: Due to Galarian Slowking's low physical Defense, it is susceptible to being forced out by physical attackers such as Zeraora, Urshifu-R, Landorus-T, (AC) and Garchomp. It is also important to note that Galarian Slowking can also get worn down by strong special attackers which have access to Psyshock, such as Tapu-Lele, (RH, AC) which can target Galarian Slowking's weaker defenses. However, none of these Pokemon appreciate switching into Scald or Sludge Bomb.

**Specially Defensive Walls**: Pokemon such as Blissey is are easily (an example of order force misuse; even if we did use "easily" we would want it before "switch") able to switch into Future Sight and Recover heal off the damage; (ASC) it is also able to heal off any sort of status that Galarian Slowking may inflict on it either by using Heal Bell, or activating Natural Cure inflicted status through Heal Bell or Natural Cure. (You use Blissey as an example and then have Recover mentioned as if to move to something like Toxapex, but then go back to Blissey. I'd say pick one of the two and tinker from there) Corviknight is able to prevent getting avoid the 2HKO'd by from Flamethrower on non-boosting sets and is able can PP stall out Galarian Slowking's attacks in return. (alternative: pressure stall) Heatran is also able to trap can trap Galarian Slowking with Magma Storm, (AC) and can chipping it down greatly, which can is especially be problematic on for sets lacking Water-type coverage. Opposing Slowking may also be able to are also able to switch in easily with impunity (am I right here? if not, tinker) and get off a Future Sight and + Teleport (same thing here: this is the combo the cool kids hate right?) as well.

====

Heatran can trap Galarian Slowking and chip it down greatly, which is especially problematic on sets lacking Water-type coverage. Slowking can switch in easily and use Future Sight and Teleport against Galarian Slowking.
