Gastly @ Fairium Z / Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Level: 5
EVs: 36 Def / 196 SpA / 76 SpD / 196 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Substitute
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball

Gastly is a great offensive Pokemon that makes use of its wonderful Special Attack stat and coverage options to act as a wallbreaker. Gastly can choose either Fairium Z, which fires off a Twinkle Tackle that ensures the KO on Timburr and bulky Mienfoo, or Life Orb, which furthers its offensive presence at the cost of getting its health easily chipped away. Gastly appreciates Diglett removing Pursuit trappers such as Alolan Grimer and Pawniard, as they resist Gastly's attacks decently and can KO back. Pairing Abra with Gastly forms a really offensive core that threatens almost every Pokemon in LC, as they remove each other's checks and counters and exert offensive pressure throughout the game. Gastly also appreciates Stealth Rock setters such as Ferroseed and Onix as teammates, with the former being able to deal with Ground-types and Abra. Lastly, faster Pokemon such as Wingull and Diglett are annoying for Gastly to face, because they leave it easily crippled, so Choice Scarf users such as Pawniard and Mienfoo are good teamates because they can take care of them.

Gastly is a great offensive Pokemon that makes use of its wonderful Special Attack stat and decent coverage to exert a great pressure on opposing teams and take down bulky threats reliably.
The best reason to use Gastly at the moment is it's wallbreaking ability and coverage options. Can we change this line to highlight this?

I'd also like a mention of 19/20 speed mons, and how a couple of different scarf users can beat them, as they are one of the biggest deterrents to a Gastly on the field. You can possibly change the last line regarding pivots into something like that.

Great work as usual.

scheduling this one now but i just wanted to point out that the "teammates" part of this is the overwhelming majority of the text. a better balance is preferred in the future
