Competitive Niche: A fast Ice type, although 115 Special Attack can be seen as strong, especially with a Nasty Plot and 120 Speed. Anything faster with a physical SE move however is an instant win as 45 Defense is bad form.


I feel the stat max should be raised to 540 to align with its counterparts of Electivire and Magmortar. We are evolving a mon with a stat total of 455 after all.

Niche: What it lacks in stats, it gains in movepool and typing. With the great typing Normal / Ghost, abilities like Intimidate and Infiltrator and a lot of options inculding coverage, utility and pivoting, (name) functions as an interesting pivot in an ever offensive sword and shield meta. 111 coupled with a scarf is enough to outspeed pretty much the whole unboosted metagame including Dragapult and Scarf Darm. It's also a great Aegislash switch-in and a mon that can bring a lot of intersting things to a team. He doesn't have the best STABs in the world though, and his attacking stats are somewhat mediocre, meaning he won't get past walls.

Design: Pachirisu with a bigger body and head, as well as longer arms (about the size of Pikachu's). It still has white fur, and its ears stay the same from its pre-evolution's, however, they're taller. Its tail is longer and bushier, and has 2 spikes towards the ends.
Competitive Niche: Fast offensive support that can basically run other sets, like NP + 3 Attacks, or Choice Specs. While it doesn't have the raw bulk of Grimmsnarl or the huge utility of Cinderace, Squirrevolt's access to strong coverage, higher attacking stats and other, in some cases, more useful goodies in the support department give it a niche over the other two, not to mention having access to 2 useful abilities: Prankster and Competitive. Unfortunately, it is really frail, so anything that it fails to KO even with its fantastic coverage, as well as anything faster than it can usually take it out thanks to its mediocre 70/70/70 defenses. Moreover, its STAB combo isn't usually the best, as stuff like Excadrill and even Dracozolt can usually snuff it out with little trouble.

Design: Quadruped Blastoise without the cannons and with thicker front legs and a volcano on its shell, which is a gray color. Its skin is an orange color, similar to Torkoal's. Magma pours out from the volcano on its shell.
Competitive Niche: An offensive Fire-type that doesn't have the speed and utility of Cinderace or the support capability of Flareon, making you think that Volcanitoise would be outclassed by those two. However, what it lacks in speed, utility, and support capabilities is made up for due to its astounding wallbreaking prowess and fantastic coverage, on top of immediate recovery, thus making it fairly durable and extremely strong. Fire/Ground isn't exactly the best typing in the world, but having two fantastic abilities in Water Absorb and Drought allow it to mitigate its weakness to Dracovish. Volcanitoise is also an extremely potent hazard remover/setter, as even if it moves last most of the time, it can easily force opposing hazard setters and removers alike to think carefully about what they do - one wrong move and you're either taking a boatload of damage or getting flat-out KOed.

Competitive Niche: Bulky sand abuser with Regenerator to patch up passive damage, with the Ability being exploitable with Volt Switch, allowing for slow, offensive pivoting. Sand Rush is just for flavor and Excadrill is still faster, so don't bother with that Ability.

Competitive Niche: This mon directly capitalizes on pachirisu's one claim to fame, Sejun's 2014 win. Just the presence of an evolution makes pachi more viable in VGC, since it gets to hold eviolite. However, Pachikyu is here to be even better. This evolution gains many VGC staple moves to add to Pachirisu's already considerable arsenal. In the vein of Arcanine, Pachikyu is a pokemon that has an abundance of possible moves it can run, so the opponent never knows exactly what support set it's running. Obstruct is strictly better than protect. With the movepool additions, pachikyu can be slapped on almost any VGC team to fulfill a support role.
