To Kill a Living Book by mili
Yes yes, go on "video game music isn't real music" crowd. All i'm gonna say is it's the only mili album that's 100% good.
please pretend "poems of a machine" doesn't exist btw

regrettably my second favorite mili album is miracle milk because it has both Ga1ahad and Scientific Witchery (full song name btw) AND Painful Death for the Lactose Intolerant but it also has world.execute(me) and i fucking hate that song
best mili album doesn't matter anyways because their best songs are singles anyways. i love sleep talk metropolis so much dude it's legitimately one of the best songs ever made.

other albums i like are discovery by daft punk and hisohiso banashi from zutomayo (jinkougaku is almost equal but i dont really like kira killer that much so that brings it down lol) was reluctant to bring those albums up cuz daft punk is really not obscure in the slightest and zutomayo is really big in the j-pop scene

also healing by in love with a ghost. ilwag haters must have no room in their hearts for joy and whimsy (this is calling you out specifically. you know who you are)

I don't listen to music as much as I did during quarantine. When I do its mostly mainstream stuff. Silk Sonic was one of the first albums I listened to all the way through, and I love every song. The Bad Bunny album from 2022 has so many bops and helped me through a tough time. People argue many of his songs sound the same and don't have good messages, but he reached the peak of his musical capabilities here (just see the ludicrous streaming numbers).

Off the top of my head I've got two answers

Avril Lavigne's Love Sux since not only is it a very fun album to listen through but it's how I found out like two years ago that she's still making music which I was very happy to find out about.

Evanescence's The Bitter Truth because hhhhollllyyy fuck every single song on that album goes so hard. Everytime I listen through it I blast the volume so I can hear it all throughout the house.

Recently I've been having some fun finding songs that sound better when you take away the lyrics. The Life of Riley is my favourite so far, and I could easily have it on loop all day:
