After its debut in OSDT, Shift Gear Genesect has been seeing increased usage in DOU ever since. As opposed to more traditional Choice Scarf sets, Shift Gear makes Genesect a strong setup sweeper that can outspeed Pokemon that would normally threaten it, like Choice Scarf Galarian Zapdos with the chosen EV spread. The combined boosts from Shift Gear, Download, and Life Orb can allow Genesect to punch large holes in the opposing team, while Leech Life can increase its longevity by offsetting Life Orb recoil and any other hits that might come its way. Zeraora is a phenomenal teammate for it, providing reliable Fake Out support to give it room to set up, and can boost its power even further via Coaching, which also increases Genesect's physical bulk to make it even harder to stop. Redirection from the likes of Volcarona or Amoonguss is also greatly appreciated to set up more easily. Zygarde is also a common partner, easily beating the Fire- and Steel-types, like Heatran and Volcanion, that resist both of Genesect's STAB moves while also appreciating the boosts from Coaching.

• you are definitely overstating genesect's defensive prowess. bug/steel is definitely not "tough-as-nails" defensive typing when it practically only resists grass and ice; in particular, it can only really "safely" set up on the two things you mentioned.
• I don't like the general direction you went with this write-up tbh. Your angle seemed to focus too much on it defensively and then some supplementary details; you never really went into detail on why SG Genesect can be considered quite an offensive monster. You even only mentioned "Shift Gear" in the first sentence.
• Highlight Coaching Zeraora more. A lot of SG Gene's success comes from how much its synergizes with Zera and the boosts in general, either for immediate power or set-up opportunies. Mentione redirection too.
• Don't mentioned Z Strats. Just say it's been a rising threat.

Just incorporate Shift Gear in the following sentence, along with the point of "making it the fastest Pokemon" as that is a good one.
• On that note, the idea of that sentence (with the addition of Shift Gear) can definitely be split onto two sentences. There's a lot you can still unpack there that's particularly relevant, such as specifically noting the threats that SG can let outrun; how it Gene can effectively 6-0 by just stacking a ton of boosts from LO, DL, and SG; and how Leech can make it live forever while being a demon, etc.
• you can mention the defense boost for the zeraora too
• "the Fire- and Steel-types who resist both of Genesect's STAB moves. " name some
• you can also mention zyg also appreciates Coaching

The combined boosts from Shift Gear, Download, and Life Orb in conjunction with each other can allow Genesect to punch large holes in the opposing team, while Leech Life can increase its longevity by offsetting Life Orb recoil and any other hits that might come its way.
