Raikou @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Ball
Raikou is certainly not the best sweeper in UU, but thanks to Calm Mind, its high Speed, and its nice coverage options, this cool cat is capable of smashing past common checks to Electric-types such as Latias and weakened Swampert. Thanks to Raikou's typing and good special bulk, it's capable of setting up on threatening Flying-types like Moltres, Mega Pidgeot, and Togekiss, and it can also set up by forcing switches on Water-types like Alomomola. As a result, potential teammates like Breloom and Serperior appreciate Raikou's ability to check the aforementioned Flying-types. Raikou appreciates support from Pokemon like Terrakion and Swampert that can take advantage of opposing Alolan Muk, which would otherwise serve as a hard stop to Raikou's attempts to sweep. Toxic Spikes from Pokemon like Tentacruel pair very well with Raikou as well, because they help it chip down opposing Ground-types and other specially bulky Pokemon.
