[OVERVIEW]

Golbat, just like in Cerulean Cave, is not going to be doing much more than annoying your opponent most of the time. It is a terrible Pokemon due to its bad movepool, mediocre stats, and weak typing. Golbat has a few main gimmicks that let it somewhat stand out from other Pokemon. Uniquely, Golbat is the only Pokemon that is immune to both Toxic and Earthquake, giving it a small defensive niche due to its ability to support teammates that dislike taking Toxic, as well as its ability to switch in on Pokemon such as Golem. In addition, it is the only Flying-type to also have access to Confuse Ray, and it has access to Screech. Golbat's other utilities, such as its decent speed tier, are made inferior since better Pokemon have these same traits, such as Charizard and Moltres. Golbat should never be considered for a competitive NU team.

[SET]
name: Utility Screech
move 1: Screech
move 2: Double-Edge
move 3: Confuse Ray
move 4: Mega Drain

[SET COMMENTS]

This set aims to make the best of the effects that Golbat can inflict on the foe. Screech allows Double-Edge to do more damage and threaten a potential KO on an already weakened Pokemon. However, the issue with Screech is that the foe can simply switch out, vastly decreasing Golbat's damage output. Still, having to switch bothers boosted Pokemon. Confuse Ray provides Golbat opportunities to use Screech, especially in situations against paralyzed Pokemon, and increases its damage alongside Screech. Confuse Ray is also useful in disrupting wrappers and setup sweepers. Mega Drain allows Golbat to not be walled by the relevant Rock-types, landing a 3HKO on Golem and Kabutops.

Due to Golbat's extremely shallow movepool, it does not have very many other options. Substitute can be used to reduce the need for prediction, allowing Golbat to scout and potentially even get more opportunities to use moves such as Confuse Ray and Screech. Hyper Beam instead of Double-Edge also profits off of the extra damage that Screech provides, although the opposing Pokemon can simply switch out and force Golbat to recharge. However, a previously-setup Substitute can improve this situation by leaving it invulnerable during the recharge turn. Finally, Toxic can be used to interrupt partial trapping from the likes of Dragonair and Moltres more consistently than Confuse Ray. If paired with your own wrappers, Toxic allows you to rack up large amounts of damage quickly.

Banned deucer.
Golbat, just like in Mt. Moon, is not going to be doing much more than annoying your opponent most of the time.
This is really pedantic but Golbat isn't actually found on Mt. Moon, Zubat is...so, technically, you should say something like "Team Rocket's teams". Alternatively, change to Victory Road or Cerulean Cave. The reference is cool, so it'd be nice to keep.

and it has access to Screech, which lowers the opponent's defense by two stages and thus allows Golbat to threaten a potential KO on an already weakened Pokemon.
A lot of the Screech stuff in the overview can be moved to set details. Consider removing the Defense reduction bit, the sentences work fine without it.

Prolly more around, but this jumps out at me atm.

Implemented.

QC 1/1, even as a mini this just about covers everything there is to say about Golbat in NU. Haze technically can be used to strip Poliwhirl's and the rare Slowpoke's Amnesia boosts, but I don't think its worth mentioning unless Golduck and Poliwrath somehow got unbanned.

QC 1/1! Volk wanted to make some changes for a QC 2/1, whenever he confirms its good i'll slam this into GP queue.

Golbat's other utilities, such as its decent speed tier, are mitigated since better Pokemon have these same traits, such as Charizard and Moltres.
Nitpick, but "mitigated" usually means "made less bad or harmful." You generally would not use it to describe a good thing made less good.

Screechs allows Golbat to threaten a potential KO on an already weakened Pokemon
Cut the "s" on "Screechs."

However, the issue with Screech is that the opponent can simply switch to something else to reset the Defense drop before they get hit, vastly decreasing Golbat's damage output. Double-Edge is used to profit from Screech's Defense drops, allowing its damage to be more threatening. This combination forces the foe to switch, or take potentially heavy damage from Double-Edge.
Merge these sentences better. First, state what Screech does and what it powers up. Next, mention that the opponent can just switch out. Then explain briefly how you can attempt to take advantage of this switch.

Confuse Ray is used to provide Golbat opportunities to set up Screech, especially in situations against paralyzed Pokemon.
I think you take extra confusion damage after Screech as well.

Substitute can be used to reduce the need for prediction, allowing Golbat to scout and potentially even get additional opportunities to set up.
Explain what "set up" means (using Confuse Ray and/or Toxic).

However, a previously set-up Substitute, if used over one of Golbat's other moves, can help mitigate this situation.
This sentence is unclear.

Done. QC 2/1.

This set aims to make the best of the variety of effects and conditions effects that Golbat can inflict on the foe. Due to Golbat's horrendously barren movepool, there is not much to choose from.
