National Dex Gold Theme team (improvements)? National dex

Trenton420$

I COULD BE BANNED!
Golds ace (Typhlosion) @ Choice Scarf I chose typhlosion because this is a gold theme team that gold used. why I'm using a theme team is because one guy on
on the ladder, red vs showdown got to number 1 with Red's team. its role on the team is for added coverage
Ability: Flash Fire Suprise attacks on heatran with earthquake and speed control with choice scarf
EVs: 44 HP / 28 Atk / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy

Ability: Multiscale
My second pokemon is Dragonite because it's a gift gold gets in SoulSilver and HeartGold therefore he probably owns it. this set
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe is used to set up with multiscale then get the extra boost from weakness policy the EV's are self-explanatory. I noticed a lot of
Jolly Nature these pokemon are weak to rock but that's all i have to work with. Since I can only use the pokemon gold used as
- Dragon Dance this is a theme team
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Punch

Raikou @ Shuca Berry my 3rd mon on the team is raikou added him because he adds good coverage and i like him. this set is used to set up with calm
Ability: Inner Focus mind. suprise attack gliscor with scald. and shuca is there since lots of grounds come in on raikou and i can get a extra scald. If i
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe need to. raikou is also a mon gold has used.
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Aura Sphere
- Scald
- Calm Mind

Gyarados @ Groundium Z my 4th mon is gyrados chose since it has good resistances and it can sweep really good once it gets momentum.
Ability: Moxie the set is used to gain momentum and sweep with groundium z. I always see people put z moves on other moxie or like
Shiny: Yes beast boost kartana with normalium z. the idea is to sweep and then z move the bulkier ones like slowbro.
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang

Steelix-Mega @ Steelixite the 5th pokemon is steelix i chose steelix because he is a good wall. has iron defense and is a mon gold has used.
Ability: Sturdy the set is used for coverage and iron defense for when urshifu swiches in or any strong physical attacker.
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def so steelix can take the hit better
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Body Press
- Iron Defense

Togekiss @ Rocky Helmet the 6th pokemon is togekiss i chose him because he can defog and its a pokemon gold also used. the set is there to flinch hax
Ability: Serene Grace and of course defog. I was running screens and trying to sweep but it just wasnt working because people keep toxic and
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe thunder waving me or leech seeding and it greatly hinders my ability to sweep. if theres a way around that let me nkow.
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Defog
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave

ok thanks for listining hopefully this dosnt get took down i tried my best and read the forum rules. I know its a theme team but theme teams have made it to the top of the ladder before. I left the pokepast at the bottom and a list of pokemon gold has used since those are the only pokemon allowed on the team

Gold manga theme team (pokepast.es)

golds pokemon
steelix,togekiss,pikachu,ambipon,mega ampharos.thyphlosion.sunflora,dragonite, umbreon,tyranitar, raikou, skarmory,politoad,poliwrath. donphan pidgeyott
those are all the pokemon i found he has used if theres more dont be afraid to put them on the team.

Hey Trenton420$ I noticed you have a pretty interesting team, since this is supposed to be themed of Gold's team I won't judge it off of viability but maybe some move sets that can make it "somewhat" usable in National Dex.

:Typhlosion:
The Typhlosion set looks good already but I would use Hidden Power Grass over Hidden Power Ice so you don't get purely walled by rain teams, since this RMT lacks explanation for the sets I'm going to guess you wanted to use HP Ice for Landorus-T or Gliscor which is alright but looking at the calculations, Landorus-T has a very high chance of surviving and you're better off using Eruption. You also have Gyarados with Ice Fang which should take care of both Landorus-T and Gliscor, especially at +1 attack.

:Dragonite:
I highly recommend running Extreme Speed over Fire Punch due to Choice Band Weavile's Ice Shard OHKO'ing you if you've already taken damage disabling Multiscale. Extreme Speed both outspeeds and OHKO's Weavile at +1. You can also use Roost over Fire Punch when Weavile is swapped in so you survive an Ice Shard and OHKO with Dragon Claw, using Roost also allows you to reactivate Multiscale multiple times in the game if there are other threats on the foe's team.

:Gyarados:
I noticed you mentioned that the Groundium Z was to OHKO bulkier Pokémon like Slowbro but this is false. It's just under a 2HKO and Slowbro can paralyze Gyarados with Thunder Wave or fish for burns with Scald. If you really wanted higher damage output against physically bulky Pokémon, you can drop Ice Fang for Bounce and use Flyinium Z to get a STAB boost which Earthquake doesn't.

:Steelix-Mega:
Mega Steelix benefits more from having full HP so you can spread out the attack, defense, or special defense EVs to specifically survive/kill Pokémon that threaten your team. It also wouldn't hurt adding Stealth Rock somewhere into that set to do entry chip damage to help your Dragonite's sweeping potential.

There really isn't much I can say about Togekiss and Raikou because I really have no experience using or facing them. I feel like these changes can make it just a little better and increase in viability. A note I would like to add for future RMT's is too make your format a little easier to read. I had a hectic time trying to read your descriptions due to them being mixed into your sets, either then that it's a cool idea and I wish you luck on your laddering with this team!
