[OVERVIEW]

Ghost
========

Golurk performs the role of an offensive Stealth Rock setter for Trick Room teams. Its Ground typing also provides Ghost-type teams with a valuable immunity to Electric-type attacks, letting it take on Pokemon like Tapu Koko. Golurk has access to a decent amount of coverage options to support its good Attack stat; Stone Edge gives it good coverage in combination with Earthquake, while Dynamic Punch lets it deal with Dark-type Pokemon like Hydreigon and Tyranitar better. Its ability No Guard lets it always land high-powered but low-accuracy moves like Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge. However, Golurk's low Speed makes it susceptible to faster Taunt users such as Aerodactyl, Gliscor, and Mew and attackers that can deal super effective damage to it. Golurk is outclassed by Alolan Marowak, which not only can set up Stealth Rock but also doubles as a wallbreaker and provides immunity from Electric-type attacks due to its ability in Lightning Rod.

Moves
========

Stealth Rock allows Golurk to support its team by pressuring Flying and Bug teams and getting rid of any potential Focus Sash and Sturdy on Pokemon such as Breloom and Skarmory. It can set up Stealth Rock in most cases due to Focus Sash, which combined with Golurk's offensive presence allows it to take advantage of the switches it forces. Earthquake allows Golurk to deal with Steel-, Rock-, and Electric-types such as Excadrill, Mega Diancie, and Tapu Koko. It also hits neutral targets for decent damage. With Dynamic Punch, Golurk can deal with Dark- and Steel-types such as Hydreigon and Ferrothorn while guaranteeing to confuse the foe. Stone Edge provides Golurk with overall good coverage in tandem with Earthquake, letting it damage common Defoggers like Mantine and Zapdos.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment increases the overall damage output of Golurk. Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature makes Golurk as fast as possible, allowing it to set up Stealth Rock and inflict damage against Pokemon such as Mantine and Seismitoad. Focus Sash ensures that Golurk can at least set up Stealth Rock in most cases and damage slower Pokemon after setting up Stealth Rock. No Guard is used to freely utilize moves with lower accuracy like Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge.

Usage Tips
========

Golurk should be used as a lead against most teams, as its Focus Sash results in it getting at least Stealth Rock up against faster attackers, and it has good matchup against most leads due to its coverage moves. However, if the opposing team has a Magic Bounce user like Mega Sableye, Golurk should wait until it is taken out or weakened to the point where Golurk can KO it and set up Stealth Rock. Golurk should not lead against faster Taunt users like Aerodactyl; against them, send in anti-lead Pokemon like Mega Sableye to prevent Stealth Rock. When against Flying and Poison teams that have reliable Defoggers, it is best to preserve Golurk so it can set up Stealth Rock once the Defogger is taken out by its teammates.

Team Options
========

Due to Golurk providing the role of a Stealth Rock setter, Alolan Marowak is free to use a Swords Dance set, with its Rock Head ability negating recoil damage from Flare Blitz, taking on Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Celesteela with its typing and coverage moves. Mega Sableye is a great teammate, as it not only provides Golurk with a crucial defensive pivot from Dark- and Ghost-type attacks but also keeps entry hazards away due to its ability Magic Bounce, allowing Golurk to preserve its Focus Sash in matchups like Dark-type teams where it can revenge kill Pokemon. Jellicent provides Golurk with much-needed immunity from Water-type attacks and resistance to Ice-type moves. It can shut down defensive Pokemon such as Celesteela and Gastrodon with Taunt. Mimikyu appreciates Stealth Rock support from Golurk to score easier KOs, and it takes on Dark- and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye and Dragonite in return. Gengar can act as an effective cleaner and revenge killer, taking advantage of Stealth Rock support from Golurk. It also absorbs Toxic Spikes against matchups like Water- and Poison-type teams, which allows Golurk to retain its Focus Sash. Decidueye acts as a defensive pivot against Ground-and Water-type attacks for Golurk. It can also provide Golurk with Defog support to help preserve its Focus Sash. Blacephalon can snowball against weakened teams due to Stealth Rock support and help in dealing with Steel-, Grass-, and Ice-type Pokemon for Golurk. Hoopa appreciates Stealth Rock support from Golurk to score easier KOs. It can dismantle teams in Trick Room due to its high Special Attack stat and take care of physical walls for the team.

**Grass-types**: Thanks to its incredible bulk, Mega Venusaur can easily tank Earthquake from Golurk and heal off the damage with Giga Drain or Synthesis. Offensive Grass-type Pokemon such as Tapu Bulu and Celebi can comfortably tank hits from Golurk and KO it. Breloom can break Golurk's Focus Sash with Bullet Seed or put it to sleep with Spore.

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Swampert and Slowbro take very little damage from Golurk's attacks and can easily beat it with Scald.

**Mega Sableye**: Mega Sableye has almost nothing to fear from Golurk, as it can comfortably tank Earthquake due to its good bulk, cripple Golurk with Will-O-Wisp, and prevent it from setting up Stealth Rock due to its ability Magic Bounce.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Gliscor's good physical bulk combined with its typing allows it to easily take on Golurk and use Taunt and Defog against it. Hippowdon can easily tank hits from Golurk due to its incredible Defense and set up Stealth Rock against it or put it on a timer with Toxic. Landorus-T's ability in Intimidate and typing makes Golurk unable to deal any hefty damage. It can also set up Swords Dance or Rock Polish against it.

[OVERVIEW]

Ghost
========

* Golurk performs the role of an offensive Stealth Rock setter for Ghost-type teams.
* Its Ground typing provides Ghost-type teams with a valuable immunity to Electric-type attacks letting it take on Pokemon like Tapu Koko.
* Its has a good Attack stat at base 124 that lets it dish out noticeable damage and threaten opposing lead Pokemon. don't need to specify base 124
* Golurk has access to a colorful movepool to support its good Attack stat. It has access to moves like the elemental punches and Dynamic Punch which is a Fighting-type move that lets Golurk take on Dark-type Pokemon such as Hydreigon and Tyranitar better. talking about elemental punches when they aren't anywhere on the set is kinda iffy. rewrite this bullet to make it a lot more concise and talk about stone edge > elemental punches. would also prefer to say "decent coverage options" over "colorful movepool" too
* It has interesting ability in No Guard which lets it abuse a high-powered but low accuracy moves like Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge, however it also means that Golurk will always get hit by moves with low accuracy such as Fire Blast and Hydro Pump. not really that relevant
* However, Golurk has low Speed at 55 which makes it prone to faster Taunt users such as x, x, and x, and attackers that can deal super effective damage to it. merged the low speed bullet here
* Golurk is outclassed by Alolan Marowak which not only can set up Stealth Rock but can also double as a wallbreaker for the team and provide immunity from Electric-type attacks due to ability Lightning Rod.
* Ghost-type teams also have the issue of tight team slots where it can be hard to fit in Golurk without compromising other matchups.
* However using Golurk on the team allows to run Swords Dance Alolan Marowak which is a terrifying Wall breaker which can then also use the ability Rock Head to prevent recoil damage from Flare Blitz.move this bullet to the top and merge it with the first bullet, this is the biggest reason to use Golurk
*Its Weakness to common Water-, Ice- and Dark-type attacks make it susceptible to plenty of Pokemon in the metagame and easy to check for most teams.
* As a hazard lead setter, Golurk struggles due to its low Speed as it is prone to faster Taunt users like Aerodactyl, Deoxys-S, and Mew. This is redundant with the low speed bullet already existing

* Choice Band Golurk can be used as a wallbreaker however it is heavy-prediction reliant and hard to fit on Ghost-type teams due to the issue of tight team slots. Ghost-type teams have better option for wallbreaker in Alolan Marowak and Blacephalon. Stealth Rock should be the only Golurk set

**Grass-types**: Thanks to the incredible bulk of Mega Venusaur, it can easily tank Earthquake from Golurk and can heal off the damage with Giga Drain or Synthesis. Tapu Bulu's Grassy Terrain weakens Ground-type attacks and It can easily KO Golurk with Horn Leech. Celebi's overall good bulk and access to recover allow it to wall Golurk and beat it with Giga Drain. Merge Celebi and Tapu Bulu in a line with offensive Grass-type Pokemon and use Breloom as an example too

**Water-types**: Bulky Water-types such as Swampert and Slowbro take very less from Golurk's attack and can easily beat it with Scald.

**Mega Sableye**: Mega Sableye has almost nothing to fear from Golurk as it can comfortably tank Earthquake from it due to its good bulk, cripple Golurk with Will-O-Wisp and prevent it from setting up Stealth Rock due to its ability Magic Bounce.

**Bulky Ground-types**: Gliscor's good physical bulk combined with its typing allows it to easily take on Golurk and Taunt it or Defog away Stealth Rock. Hippowdon can easily tank hits from Golurk due to its incredible physical defense and can set up Stealth Rock against it or put it to timer with Toxic. - would make it clear that this golurk is only used on trick room. reasoning on tr you want sd marowak, everywhere else sr marowak is 100x better

* Its Ground typing provides Ghost-type teams with a valuable immunity to Electric-type attacks letting it take on Pokemon like Tapu Koko.
* Its has a good Attack stat that lets it dish out noticeable damage and threaten opposing lead Pokemon.
- give examples of what lead pokemon it can beat if so, no good examples then take this line out

* Golurk has access to a decent coverage options to support its good Attack stat. It has access to moves like Stone Edge that gives it good coverage in combination with Earthquake. It has access to Dynamic Punch too which lets it deal with Dark-type Pokemon like Hydreigon and Tyranitar better.

- combine this with the line above, say how sr alolan marowak outclasses golurk. which is why it is hard to fit on teams

* Its Weakness to common Water-, Ice- and Dark-type attacks make it susceptible to plenty of Pokemon in the metagame and easy to check for most teams.
- this just feels like info that everyone should know by typing into ps !weakness golurk

Wow, may I actually make a comeback?!

Team Options:
"Decidueye acts as a defensive pivot against Ground-, Electric- and Water-type attacks for Golurk."
- I'm pretty sure that you would rather stay in on Electric moves instead of switching Decidueye into them. Adding Electric-types to the list it pivots into sorta dismisses what you said in the Introduction for Golurk's typing.

Golurk has access to a decent amount of coverage options to support its good Attack stat; (SC) It has access to moves like Stone Edge that gives it good coverage in combination with Earthquake, (comma) while Dynamic Punch lets it deal with Dark-type Pokemon like Hydreigon and Tyranitar better. Its ability in No Guard lets it always land high-powered but low-accuracy (AH) moves like Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge. However, Golurk's has low Speed, which makes it prone susceptible to faster Taunt users such as Aerodactyl, Gliscor, and Mew and attackers that can deal super effective damage to it. Moves
========

Stealth Rock allows Golurk to support its team by pressuring Flying and Bug teams and getting rid of any potential Focus Sash and Sturdy users on Pokemon such as Breloom and Skarmory. It can set up Stealth Rock in most cases due to Focus Sash, which combined with Golurk's offensive presence allows it to take advantage of the switches it forces. Earthquake is a STAB move that allows Golurk to deal with Steel-, Rock-, and Electric-types such as Excadrill, Mega Diancie, and Tapu Koko.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack investment increases the overall damage output of Golurk. Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature makes Golurk as fast as possible, allowing it to set up Stealth Rock and inflict damage against Pokemon such as Mantine and Seismitoad. Focus Sash as an item ensures that Golurk can at least set up Stealth Rock in most cases and damage slower Pokemon after setting up Stealth Rock. No Guard is used to freely utilize moves with lower accuracy like Dynamic Punch and Stone Edge.

Usage Tips
========

Golurk should be used as a lead against most teams, as it has its Focus Sash which results in it getting at least Stealth Rock up against faster attackers, (AC) and it has good matchup against most leads due to its coverage moves. However, if the opposing team has a Magic Bounce user like Mega Sableye, then Golurk should wait until it is taken out by a teammate or weakened to the point where Golurk can KO it and set up Stealth Rock. Golurk should not lead against faster Taunt users like Aerodactyl; (SC) and should against them, send in anti-lead Pokemon like Mega Sableye to prevent Stealth Rock. When against Flying and Poison teams that have reliable Defoggers, it is best to preserve Golurk so it can set up Stealth Rock once the Defogger is taken out by its teammates.

Team Options
========

Due to Golurk compressing providing the role of a Stealth Rock setter, Alolan Marowak is free to use a Swords Dance set, with its Rock Head ability negating recoil damage from Flare Blitz, (comma) (this feels extraneous / random, Rock Head specifically is not something that makes AWak a good teammate of Golurk specifically) Its typing and coverage moves allow it take taking on Steel-type Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Celesteela for the team with its typing and coverage moves. Mega Sableye is a great teammate, as it not only provides Golurk with a crucial defensive pivot from Dark- and Ghost-type attacks (RC) but also keeps entry hazards away due to its ability Magic Bounce, allowing Golurk to preserve its Focus Sash against in matchups like Dark-type teams where it can revenge kill Pokemon. Jellicent provides Golurk with much-needed immunity from Water-type attacks and resistance to Ice-type moves. It can shut down defensive Pokemon such as Celesteela and Gastrodon with Taunt. Mimikyu appreciates Stealth Rock support from Golurk to score easier KOs, (AC) and it takes on Dark- and Dragon-type Pokemon such as Mega Sableye and Dragonite in return. Gengar can act as an effective cleaner and revenge killer, taking advantage of Stealth Rock support from Golurk. Gengar It also absorbs Toxic Spikes against matchups like Water- and Poison-type teams, which allows Golurk to retain its Focus Sash.

Checks and Counters
===================

Ghost
--------
**Grass-types**: Thanks to its incredible bulk, Mega Venusaur can easily tank Earthquake from Golurk and heal off the damage with Giga Drain or Synthesis.
