[OVERVIEW]

Goodra's ability and typing, which give it a Grass-type immunity and Electric, Fire, and Water resistances, combined with great bulk let Goodra act as a fantastic sponge that can check offensive threats such as Roserade, Raikou, Ninetales, and Salazzle and switch into bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Milotic. On top of this, Goodra's respectable Speed gives it the ability to run Choice Scarf, outpacing Choice Scarf Tyrantrum and +1 Feraligatr. Goodra's solid Special Attack and amazing coverage make Choice Specs also great, as it renders Goodra hugely threatening to bulky offense and balance teams by hitting a wide range of Pokemon. However, Choice Scarf Goodra is pressured by popular Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Florges and Registeel, which are easily able to switch into most of its attacks and can use Goodra as setup fodder if it isn't careful about what it locks itself into. Furthermore, Goodra has no reliable recovery and is easily chipped away by status, entry hazards, and Pokemon that it can check.

Moves

Draco Meteor is Goodra's most powerful STAB move and dishes out high damage on targets hit neutrally by it. Thunderbolt is used to hit Water-type Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise and Araquanid. Fire Blast is used for coverage on Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross and Registeel. Earthquake allows Goodra to deal with Calm Mind Raikou and more reliably revenge kill Pokemon like Salazzle, as its accuracy is superior to that of Draco Meteor. Ice Beam can be used over Draco Meteor to hit Pokemon like Zygarde-10%, Noivern, Flygon, and other Dragon-type Pokemon for super effective damage without losing stats or having a chance to miss. However, Ice Beam is a lot weaker and leaves no real option to heavily damage foes neutral to Dragon.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment, a Timid nature, and Choice Scarf allow Goodra to outspeed +1 Feraligatr as well as the entire unboosted metagame bar Mega Sceptile. Sap Sipper gives Goodra an immunity to Grass-type moves, allowing it to switch into Grass-types like Shaymin more easily. A Hasty nature alternatively allows Goodra to keep maximum Speed and some Attack in order to make use of Earthquake better.

Usage Tips
========

Goodra should primarily be used as a revenge killer, having the Speed and moveset to take on Pokemon such as Tyrantrum, Feraligatr, Salazzle, and Zygarde-10%. Make sure to use Fire Blast when predicting Steel-type Pokemon that wish to take advantage of Draco Meteor. If the opponent has a Florges or Registeel, try to predict what moves to use or what switches to make in order to not waste turns dealing little damage. Even though Goodra is offensive, it can still soft check Pokemon such as Roserade and Salazzle. Try to make use of Goodra's bulk and typing to check Pokemon as well as revenge killing. Be aware of status and entry hazards when using Goodra, as it has no reliable recovery. Too much damage over time leaves Goodra open to priority users such as Golisopod, Zygarde-10%, and Honchkrow. Watch out for locking into the wrong move, like Thunderbolt against a team with Dragon Dance Zygarde-10%.

Team Options
========

Goodra has the ability to revenge kill and force switches, so entry hazards are good because they cause chip damage to the opponent's checks. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well, as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Water-types are very good alongside Goodra thanks to its Electric resistance and ability to check Grass-type Pokemon with Sap Sipper. Mega Blastoise and Golisopod work very well with Goodra offensively, whereas Milotic and Slowbro work well defensively and also cover Goodra's weakness to physical attackers. Steel-type Pokemon such as Registeel, Metagross, Bronzong, and Escavaliercan switch into Gardevoir and Florges, which check Goodra. Poison-type Pokemon like Nidoqueen, Roserade, and Salazzle are also very good checks to Florges. Fairy-type Pokemon such as Florges and Gardevoir help to remove threats to Goodra like Noivern, Flygon, and Zygarde-10%. Florges and Gardevoir also have the ability to keep Goodra healthy with Wish, Heal Bell, and Healing Wish. Physical walls such as Tangela and Slowbro can work alongside Goodra well defensively, as they are able to make up for Goodra's terrible physical bulk.

Moves

Choice Specs-boosted Draco Meteor can put a huge dent into anything that doesn't resist it, being able to 2HKO specially defensive Pokemon such as Araquanid without needing to use Thunderbolt. Fire Blast nukes Steel-type Pokemon, sending Metagross packing as well as 2HKOing Bronzong. Thunderbolt deals with Araquanid more consistently and 2HKOes Milotic after Stealth Rock damage. Sludge Wave prevents Fairy-type Pokemon from switching into Goodra, as it 2HKOes Florges and OHKOes Gardevoir after Stealth Rock. Thunder allows Goodra to hit Water-types harder than Thunderbolt does. It has a chance to OHKO Mandibuzz and Mega Blastoise as well as being able to potentially paralyze faster Pokemon. Ice Beam is an option over Sludge Wave if you have teammates to exploit Florges.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed investment with a Timid nature allows Goodra to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise, Tyrantrum, and Feraligatr. Sap Sipper makes sure that Goodra can still check some Grass-type Pokemon such as Roserade and Shaymin.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Specs Goodra is a powerful wallbreaker, hitting bulky Pokemon such as Milotic, Metagross,and Florges heavily with coverage moves as well as being able to OHKO Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise with Draco Meteor. If you wish for Goodra to break through a team easier, you will need to correctly predict in order to get rid of its checks. Sludge Wave on a predicted Florges or Fire Blast on a predicted Registeel will go a long way towards Goodra winning. Goodra still has a good Special Defense stat, so despite being offensive, it can still check a lot of special attackers like Ninetales and Roserade. Sap Sipper should be used to check Grass-types that rely on Grass-type attacks to deal heavy damage such as Shaymin and Roserade.

Team Options
========

Choice Specs Goodra is a wallbreaker and forces a lot of switches, so entry hazard setters are very important. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well, as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Goodra can remove a lot of bulkier Pokemon, leaving the door wide open for a sweeper. Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir, Noivern, Flygon, and Shaymin can all take advantage of Goodra's ability to remove walls from the match. Both Shaymin and Gardevoir also help support Goodra with Healing Wish. Goodra still needs support to avoid being revenge killed by heavy-hitting physical attackers. Pokemon like Slowbro and Tangela can help to pivot in on these Pokemon. Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon work well with Goodra, as they can come in on Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks that threaten out Goodra. Florges and Registeel work well defensively, whereas Gardevoir and Metagross can work more offensively. Goodra's Sap Sipper, as well as its useful Electric resistance, can help Water-type teammates like Golisopod, Milotic, and Slowbro.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Assault Vest Goodra with Dragon Tail in order to phaze checks can be used to more reliably check special attackers. However, this set is worse than both Choice Specs and Choice Scarf because it is checked easier by bulky Pokemon and its only value over other Assault Vest users in the tier is its Grass immunity. Choice Band Goodra can also be used in favor of Choice Specs to wallbreak. However, Outrage is an unreliable move that makes it easy for revenge killers to KO Goodra.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Goodra, especially the Choice Scarf set, is walled heavily by Florges and forced out. The Choice Specs set is pressured and is forced into making a prediction if a Fairy-type such as Gardevoir or Florges is on the opposing team. Goodra is reluctant to spam Draco Meteor and has to get a Sludge Wave off on Florges to do anything.

**Steel-types**: Registeel and Bronzong are very bulky and can take multiple Fire Blasts from Choice Scarf Goodra. Goodra is forced to predict when Steel-types are going to be switched in and is pressured by this. Unfortunately,(AC) Goodra still needs to hit multiple Fire Blasts even if getting the prediction right.

**Dragon-types**: Goodra is very easily revenge killed by faster Dragon-type Pokemon such as Zygarde-10% and Flygon.

**Physical Attackers**: Due to Goodra's poor Defense, physically strong Pokemon that outspeed Goodra such as Virizion, Zygarde-10%, Flygon, and Lycanroc-D will almost always force it out.

**Special Walls**: Pokemon such as Assault Vest Slowking are easy switch-ins to Goodra, especially when the Choice Scarf set is used. Other Pokemon like Matine, Florges, and specially defensive Mandibuzz can only be hit hard if hit with the correct move or if Goodra is running Choice Specs.

Friendly a.m. check. Implement whatever you want. This is pretty well done, just a few nitpicks.

[OVERVIEW]
  • What is Goodra's role in the metagame? That should ALWAYS be the first sentence. What niche does it have over other Dragon-types?
  • Goodra's Sap Sipper ability and Dragon typing allows Goodra to be immune to Grass-type attacks while resisting Electric-, Fire-, and Water-type attacks which is very hard to find and makes it really good for bulky offence teams.
  • This means Goodra can check Pokemon such as Roserade, Raikou, Ninetales, and Salazzle as well as resisting STAB from both Feraligatr and Miltoic.
  • Goodra's solid HP stat and amazing Special Defense allows it to pivot in on a lot of Special Attackers easily like Salazzle, Milotic, and Roserade.
  • Goodra's respectable speed stat allows it to run a Choice Scarf quite efficiently in the tier, gaining enough speed to out pace all other non-choiced Pokemon in the tier.
  • Even without a Choice Scarf Goodra has enough speed to be able to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise, Tyrantrum, and Feraligatr.
  • Saying that, Goodra is let down by its Speed as it does not hit the same heights as other Pokemon such as Flygon, Zygarde-10%, and Noivern which are all Dragon-type Pokemon that can out-speed and revenge kill Goodra.
  • Goodra is also let down by its below par physical bulk making it easier to be revenge killed by physical Pokemon, especially priority from Pokemon such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, Arcanine, Donphan, and Honchkrow.
  • Choiced Goodra is also pressured by popular Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross, Registeel, Gardevoir, and Florges. They are all able to switch into Goodra's choice locked Draco Meteor very easily.
  • Goodra has no reliable recovery and can easily be chipped away at when checking offensive Pokemon and from hazards.

  • Draco Meteor is Goodra's most powerful STAB move and dishes out Goodra's highest damage neutrally.
  • Thunderbolt is used to hit bulky Water-type Pokemon that Goodra would not be able to deal with using just 1 Draco Meteor or 2 with the stat drops. These include checks like Araquanid and Counters like Milotic.
  • Fire Blast is used for the coverage on Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross and Registeel in particular hitting them for Super Effective damage is important as Draco Meteor is resisted.
  • Earthquake is Goodra's best way to deal with Calm Mind Raikou, a very common threat in the tier. It also hits Ninetales more accurately than Draco Meteor.
  • Ice Beam can be used over Draco Meteor to hit Pokemon like Zygarde-10%, Noivern, Flygon, and other Dragon-type Pokemon for super effective damage without losing stats or having a miss chance. However, Ice Beam is a lot weaker and leaves no real option to hit neutral opponents heavily.
Set Details

  • Choice Scarf with maximum Speed + Timid allows Goodra to outspeed +1 Feraligatr as well as outspeeding every non-choiced or boosted Pokemon in the tier.
  • Maximum Special Attack EVs allows it to hit as hard as possible with Draco Meteor.
  • Sap Sipper allows Goodra to check Grass-type Pokemon
  • Hasty if used allows Goodra to keep maximum Speed and some Attack while losing defense in order to make use of Earthquake better.
Usage Tips
========
  • Draco Meteor is resisted by common Steel-types and immune to by common Fairy-type Pokemon. Make sure to avoid being locked into a move vs a Pokemon that can deal huge damage to your team while forcing you out.
  • Make sure to use Fire Blast or Earthquake when predicting Steel-type Pokemon to want to come in on Draco Meteor
  • If other players have a Florges, sometimes you will need to predict and switch out as all of Goodra's attacks will do little against it.
  • Remember that Goodra has a low Defense stat so it is constantly pressured by priority users such as Golisopod and Zygarde-10%
  • Even though Goodra is offensive it can still soft check Pokemon such as Roserade and Salazzle. Try to make use of that by bringing Goodra in and KOing them.
  • The first bullet should be that Goodra should primarily be used as a revenge killer with a Choice Scarf. Mention what Pokemon it outspeeds too.

  • Fire Blast nukes Steel-type Pokemon having a high chance to 2HKO Registeel even after two turns of Leftovers. It sends Metagross packing with ease as well as 2HKOing Bronzong.
  • Thunderbolt is good as it deals with Araquanid more consistently as well as 2HKOing Milotic after Stealth Rock damage.
  • Sludge Wave Sludge Bomb prevents Fairy-type Pokemon from switching into Goodra as it 2HKOes Florges and OHKOes Gardevoir after Stealth Rock.
  • Thunder allows Goodra to hit Water-types harder than Thunderbolt does. Name an example where Thunder's higher power can come in handy. Also mention the benefits of potentially paralyzing fast offensive Pokemon.

  • Maximum Speed with a Timid nature allows Goodra to outspeed Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise, Tyrantrum, and Feraligatr in the tier.
  • Maximum Special Attack makes Goodra use Choice Specs as well as possible denting even the bulkiest of Pokemon.
  • Sap Sipper makes sure that Goodra can still check Grass-type Pokemon.
Usage Tips
========
  • Make sure to properly look at the oppositions team before locking Goodra into an attack. Goodra may have a Choice Specs but it will still do very little when Clicking Fire Blast against a Water-type or Draco Meteor against a Steel-type. This is worded really weirdly.
  • If you wish for Goodra to break through a team easier, you will need to predict right in order to get rid of its checks. Sludge Wave on a predicted Florges or Fire Blast on a predicted Registeel will go a long way towards Goodra winning.
  • Goodra still has a good Special Defense stat so despite being offensive it can still check a lot of special attackers like Salazzle and Roserade and force switches. If you make the edit below, make this the second bullet and just delete the part about forcing switches.
  • This also applies with its ability. Sap Sipper should be used to check Grass-types that rely on Grass-type attacks to deal heavy damage such as Shaymin, Roserade, and Rotom-C Rotom-C is not a relevant Pokemon anymore. Replace it with something else.
  • Again, the first bullet should explain what this set does. In this case, it's a powerful wallbreaker with Choice Specs. Mention some notable Pokemon it can dent or OHKO.
  • Make a mention about Toxic and entry hazards wearing it down. Should be the last bullet.
Team Options

  • Choice Specs Goodra is a wall breaker and forces a lot of switches so hazard setters are very important. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Move this first sentence to the first section of usage tips.
  • Goodra can remove a lot of bulkier Pokemon leaving the door wide open for a sweeper to take advantage of this. Good Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir, Noivern, Flygon, and Shaymin can all take advantage of Goodra's ability to remove walls from the match. Mention that Gardevoir and Shaymin can keep Goodra healthy with Healing Wish.
  • Goodra still needs support to avoid being revenge killed by heavy physical attackers. Pokemon like Slowbro and Tangela can help to pivot in on these Pokemon.
  • Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon work well with Goodra as they can come in on Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks that threaten out Goodra. Florges and Registeel work well defensively where as Gardevoir and Metagross can work more offensively.
  • Sap Sipper helps out Water-type Pokemon such as Golisopod, Milotic, and Slowbro as well as Goodra's Electric-type resistance. This is true, but the wording could use work. It's a bit confusing to read. Maybe write it as "Goodra's Sap Sipper, as well as its useful Electric-resistance, can help Water-type teammates like Golisopod, Milotic, and Slowbro."
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Assault Vest Goodra can be used to reliably check Special Attacks more with Dragon Tail in order in order to phase out checks. However, this set is worse than both Choice Specs and Choice Scarf because it is checked easier by bulky Pokemon and has no value that cant be filled by other Pokemon in the tier.
  • Mention Choice Band.
  • Maybe mention a Curse set. But I'd wait to see what a QC member says.
Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Especially the Choice Scarf set is walled heavily by Florges and is forced out. The Choice Specs set is forced into making a prediction if a Fairy-type is on the team such as Gardevoir or Florges and is pressured.

**Steel-types**: Registeel and Bronzong specifically are very bulky and can live multiple Fire Blasts from Choice Scarf Goodra. Much like with Fairy-types Goodra is forced to predict when Steel-types are going to be switched in and is pressured by this. Unfortunately Goodra still needs to hit multiple Fire Blasts even if getting the prediction right.

**Dragon-types**: Goodra is very easily revenge killed by faster Dragon-type Pokemon such as Noivern, Zygarde-10%, and Flygon. This consistently will force Goodra out and with both Noivern and Flygon having access to U-turn might cause long term problems for the team.
Noivern is kind of a weird example to me. It can dent Goodra with Supersonic Skystrike, sure, but Goodra will always OHKO it with Draco Meteor. I feel like Tyrantrum is a better example of a Dragon-type that immediately threatens Goodra.

**Physical Attackers**: Physically strong Pokemon that outspeed Goodra will more than always force it out, with Goodra having very poor Physical Defense Pokemon such as Virizion, Zygarde-10%, Flygon, and Lycanrock-Dusk Lycanroc-D all threaten it out.

There is not a single Steel-type Pokemon in the tier that Goodra would rather click Earthquake versus.

move 4: Sludge Wave Sludge Bomb (The 30% of poisoning the opponent can be crucial against a bulkier Pokemon like Slowbro or Florges.)
Sludge Wave has a higher chance to OHKO Gardevoir.

  • Choice Specs Goodra is a wall breaker and forces a lot of switches so hazard setters are very important. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Dragon-types**: Goodra is very easily revenge killed by faster Dragon-type Pokemon such as Zygarde-10% and Flygon (remove noivern, goodra 1v1s it). This consistently will force Goodra out and with both Noivern and Flygon having access to U-turn might cause long term problems for the team. fluff / not useful info

[OVERVIEW]
  • Goodra's Sap Sipper ability, Dragon typing, and great bulk let Goodra act as a fantastic sponge thanks to its immunity to Grass-type moves and resistances to Electric, Fire, and Water moves.
  • This means Goodra can check Pokemon such as Roserade, Raikou, Ninetales, and Salazzle as well as resisting STAB from bulky Water-type Pokemon like Miltoic.
  • Goodra's respectable Speed stat allows it to run a Choice Scarf quite efficiently in the tier, gaining enough speed to out pace all other non-choiced Pokemon in the tier. This gives it the ability to revenge kill many Pokemon such as Tyrantrum and Feraligatr.
  • Choice Specs on Goodra makes it very threatening to Bulky Offense and Balance teams as it hits such a wide range of Pokemon with its movepool and has a good enough Special Attack to break bulkier teams.
  • Goodra is also let down by its below par physical bulk making it easier to be revenge killed by physical Pokemon, especially priority from Pokemon such as Metagross, Zygarde-10%, Arcanine, Donphan, and Honchkrow. not really? 90/70 is fine, goodra has trouble switching into phys attacks for sure but saying it's weak to priority from arcanine and zygarde is just wrong, just remove this bullet
  • Choice Scarf Goodra is also pressured by popular Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Registeel and Florges. They are all able to switch into Goodra's choice locked Draco Meteor very easily.
  • Goodra has no reliable recovery and can easily be chipped away at by status, hazards and checking offensive Pokemon..

Moves
========
  • Draco Meteor is Goodra's most powerful STAB move and dishes out Goodra's highest damage neutrally.
  • Thunderbolt is used to hit bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Milotic and Araquanid. would not be able to deal with using just 1 Draco Meteor or 2 with the stat drops. These include checks like Araquanid and Counters like Milotic. too confusing
  • Fire Blast is used for the coverage on Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross and Registeel in particular hitting them for Super Effective damage is important as Draco Meteor is resisted. last part is unnecessary, also it's super effective not Super Effective
  • Earthquake is Goodra's best way to deal with Calm Mind Raikou, a very common threat in the tier. It also hits Ninetales more accurately than Draco Meteor. allows Goodra to deal with Raikou and more easily revenge kill set up sweepers like Salazzle because its accuracy is superior to Draco Meteor's.

  • Sap Sipper gives Goodra an immunity to Grass-type moves, allowing it to switch into Grass-types like Shaymin more easily.
  • Hasty if used allows Goodra to keep maximum Speed and some Attack while losing defense in order to make use of Earthquake better.
Usage Tips
========
  • Goodra should primarily be used as a revenge killer, having the Speed and moveset to take on Pokemon such as Tyrantrum, Feraligatr, Salazzle, and Zygarde-10%.
  • Draco Meteor is resisted by common Steel-types and immune to by common Fairy-type Pokemon. not a usage tip Make sure to avoid being locked into a move vs a Pokemon that can deal huge damage to your team while forcing you out. what? this is too confusing, the next bullet covers prediction fine so you can expand there if you want to. delete this
  • Make sure to use Fire Blast when predicting Steel-type Pokemon to want to come in on Draco Meteor.
  • If other players have a Florges, sometimes you will need to predict and switch out as all of Goodra's attacks will do little against it.
  • Remember that Goodra has a low Defense stat so it is constantly pressured by priority users such as Golisopod and Zygarde-10% how is this a usage tip
  • Even though Goodra is offensive it can still soft check Pokemon such as Roserade and Salazzle. Try to make use of that by bringing Goodra in and KOing them.
  • Status like Toxic and entry hazards can very easily chip Goodra over time as it has no reliable recovery, be weary of this when using Goodra. weary?

  • Water-types are very good alongside Goodra thanks to its ability to check Grass-type Pokemon with Sap Sipper and resist Eelectric-type attacks. Mega Blastoise and Golisopod work very well with Goodra offensively where as Milotic and Slowbro work well defensively and also cover Goodra's weakness to physical attackers.
  • Steel-type Pokemon in general are good paired with Goodra as they can switch in to Gardevoir and Florges that check Goodra. Registeel, Metagross, Bronzong, and Escavalier are very good checks to these threats.
  • Poison-type Pokemon are also very good checks to Florges as they are able to come in on and threaten it out. Nidoqueen, Roserade, and Salazzle all work very well.

If you wish for Goodra to break through a team easier, you will need to correctly predict right in order to get rid of its checks. Sludge Wave on a predicted Florges or Fire Blast on a predicted Registeel will go a long way towards Goodra winning. Goodra still has a good Special Defense stat,(AC) so despite being offensive,(AC) it can still check a lot of special attackers like Ninetales and Roserade. This also applies with its ability. Sap Sipper should be used to check Grass-types that rely on Grass-type attacks to deal heavy damage such as Shaymin and Roserade.

Choice Specs Goodra is a wall breaker wallbreaker and forces a lot of switches,(AC) so entry hazard setters are very important. Registeel, Metagross, Roserade, and Nidoqueen work especially well,(AC) as they also cover Goodra's Fairy-type weakness. Goodra can remove a lot of bulkier Pokemon,(AC) leaving the door wide open for a sweeper to take advantage of this. Choice Scarf users such as Gardevoir, Noivern, Flygon, and Shaymin can all take advantage of Goodra's ability to remove walls from the match. Both Shaymin and Gardevoir can also help support Goodra with Healing Wish. Goodra still needs support to avoid being revenge killed by heavy-(AH)hitting physical attackers. Pokemon like Slowbro and Tangela can help to pivot in on these Pokemon. Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon work well with Goodra,(AC) as they can come in on Dragon- and Fairy-type attacks that threaten out Goodra. Florges and Registeel work well defensively,(AC) whereas where as Gardevoir and Metagross can work more offensively. Goodra's Sap Sipper, as well as its useful Electric-(RH)resistance, can help Water-type teammates like Golisopod, Milotic, and Slowbro.

Goodra's ability,(RC) typing, and great bulk lets Goodra act as a fantastic sponge thanks to its and typing,(AC) which gives it a Grass-type immunity and Electric, Fire, and Water resistances,(AC).(period) combined with its great bulk let Goodra act as a fantastic sponge that With these assets Goodra can check offensive threats such as Roserade, Raikou, Ninetales, and Salazzle as well as and switch into bulky Water-type Pokemon such as Milotic as it resists its STAB attacks. On top of this,(AC) Goodra's respectable Speed gives it the ability to run a Choice Scarf effectively in the tier, gaining enough speed to outpace outpacing Choice Scarf Tyrantrum and +1 Feraligatr. Goodra's solid Special Attack also makes Choice Specs is also great on Goodra,(AC) as it makes it Goodra hugely threatening to bulky offense and balance teams by hitting a wide range of Pokemon with its diverse movepool and solid Special Attack. However, Choice Scarf Goodra is pressured by popular Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Registeel and Florges and Registeel,(AC) which are being easily able to switch in to into most of its attacks and can become use Goodra as setup fodder if it isn't careful about what it locks itself into. Draco Meteor is Goodra's most powerful STAB move and dishes out Goodra's highest high damage hitting neutral on targets hit neutrally by it. Thunderbolt is used to hit Water-type Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise and Araquanid. Fire Blast is used for coverage on Steel-type Pokemon such as Metagross and Registeel. Earthquake allows Goodra to deal with Calm Mind Raikou and more reliably revenge kill Pokemon like Salazzle,(AC) as its accuracy is superior to that of Draco Meteors Meteor. Ice Beam can be used over Draco Meteor to hit Pokemon like Zygarde-10%, Noivern, Flygon, and other Dragon-type Pokemon for super effective damage without losing stats or having a miss chance to miss. However, Ice Beam is a lot weaker and leaves no real option to hit heavily damage foes hit neutrally by it opponents heavily.

Maximum Speed investment, a Timid nature, and Choice Scarf with maximum Speed + Timid allows allow Goodra to outspeed +1 Feraligatr as well as outspeeding every non-choiced or boosted Pokemon in the tier outspeed the entire unboosted metagame. Sap Sipper gives Goodra an immunity to Grass-type moves, allowing it to switch in to into Grass types like Shaymin more easily. Hasty if used allows Goodra to keep maximum Speed and some Attack while losing Defense in order to make use of Earthquake better.

Usage Tips
========

If other players have the opponent has a Florges or Registeel, try to predict what moves to use or what switches to make in order to not (I assume this is what you meant; otherwise this doesn't really make sense) waste turns dealing little damage. Even though Goodra is offensive,(AC) it can still soft check Pokemon such as Roserade and Salazzle. Try to make use of Goodra's bulk and typing to check Pokemon as well as revenge killing. Be aware of status and entry hazards when using Goodra,(AC) as it has no reliable recovery. Too much damage over time leaves Goodra open to priority users such as Golisopod, Zygarde-10%, and Honchkrow. Watch out for locking into the wrong move like Thunderbolt on a Dragon Dance Zygarde-10%.
