1v1 Aromatisse

Aromatisse @ Wiki Berry
Ability: Aroma Veil
EVs: 216 HP / 136 Def / 156 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Trick Room
- Encore
- Disable

In a metagame packed with Fairy-types, Aromatisse holds a unique niche over its competition by virtue of its ability Aroma Veil which works nicely alongside an unorthodox moveset. The combination of Trick Room, Encore, and Disable in the appropriate move order allows Aromatisse to implement break down bulky and stall oriented threats such as Slowbro and Galarian Corsola with Struggle shenanigans. By virtue of its great mono-Fairy typing and natural bulk, Aromatisse can stomach hits from common Choice item users such as Urshifu-R, Primarina, and Haxorus with proper EV investment and use Disable to force them to use Struggle. Aromatisse is, however, susceptible to Poison-, Fire-, and Steel-types such as Magnezone, Gengar, and Alolan Marowak. As such, it appreciates the support of teammates such as Rotom-W, Snorlax, and Assault Vest Urshifu-R.

In a metagame packed with Fairy-types, Aromatisse finds itself holding a unique niche over its competition by virtue of its ability Aroma Veil which works nicely alongside an unorthodox moveset. The combination of Trick Room, Encore, and Disable allows for Aromatisse to implement Struggle shenanigans, which is capable of breaking down bulky and stall orientated threats such as Slowbro and Type: Null Type Null is super irrelevant, maybe find a diff example. By virtue of its great mono Fairy typing and natural bulk with defensive investment, Aromatisse can stomach hits from common Choice-item users such as Urshifu-R, Primarina, and Haxorus, which Aromatisse can then Disable to force Struggle. Aromatisse is not without its flaws however, being susceptible to Poision-, Fire- and Steel-types such as Magnezone, Salazzle if there's a pure fire type available, use that, since Salazzle more so relies on poison coverage for aromatisse. and Gengar. As such, it appreciates the support of teammates such as Rotom-W, Diggersby and Dracovish. These last two are also kind of weird examples for team support. Specs Magnezone can beat both of them most of the time, and Salazzle and Gengar can OHKO Diggersby if Band. Maybe spdef tanks like stall Snorlax could be used., or AV Urshifu-R. Overall, Aromatisse is a complicated yet rewarding Pokemon to use and will take a bit of practice! In general, summary/fluff sentences are to be avoided. I wasn't sure if that carried over to spotlights, but I checked the published ones and they don't have them. I think you should use this space to cover what its bulked for, being Choiced Urshifu-R and Primarina. You don't have to do the whole '216 HP and 136 Def lets aromatisse etc etc' you can just say 'Aromatisse is invested to tank attacks from Urshifu-R and Primarina.'

Looked at it again; lemme clean it up a little more.
In a metagame packed with Fairy-types, Aromatisse finds itself holding holds (subjective change; a little less wordy) a unique niche over its competition by virtue of its ability Aroma Veil, (AC) which works nicely alongside an unorthodox moveset. The combination of Trick Room, Encore, and Disable in the appropriate move order allows for Aromatisse to implement Struggle shenanigans, which can help break down bulky and stall oriented threats such as Slowbro and Galarian Corsola with Struggle shenanigans (again, a tad less wordy). thanks for the check! I don't think that the mention of "appropriate move order" should be removed. This was discussed in discord PMs as part of QC, since the move order is dependant on the matchup and we didn't want to imply that it's always trick room -> encore -> disable (I'd discuss this deeper but there's nowhere near enough space in a spotlight to be talking about specific matchups for a mon as complicated as aromatisse)
