Greninja

[OVERVIEW]

- Thanks to its high Speed and stellar ability in the form of Protean, Greninja is a premier offensive threat in the CAP metagame.
- Greninja is further blessed with a colorful offensive movepool, allowing it to fully exploit its ability and to serve as one of the most reliable Choice Scarf users able to outspeed and defeat the most dangerous Set-Up sweepers in the metagame, namely Shell Smash Necturna.
- Due to its number of coverage options, Greninja can also act as an extremely fast and powerful wallbreaker with barely any sure-fire counter.
- Its wonderful movepool also includes Spikes, and with such a great Speed Tier, offensive presence and coverage to threaten common hazard removers, Greninja makes a very efficient hazard setter.
- However, Greninja is very frail and its typing sports several crippling weaknesses to Electric, Bug, Fairy, Fighting and Grass. Thus, bringing it on the field is often a difficult task.
- While Greninja's offensive stats aren't bad by any means, they aren't great either and Greninja doesn't have any boosting move outside of Z-Happy Hour, which means it has to rely on super effective coverage to defeat common bulky threats, making it an unfortunate case of 4MSS.

Moves

========

- U-Turn allows Greninja to pivot and can be spammed pretty freely due to Greninja offensive presence and sky-high Speed tier when holding a Choice Scarf. Moreover, it hits Aurumoth, one of the scariest sweeper in the metagame, for super effective damages. Nonetheless, be careful not to trigger the potential Weak Armor boost at the wrong moment.
- Ice Beam is highly recommended since it OHKOes Necturna after Shell Smash as well as Zygarde, Landorus-Therian and Gliscor. It also packs a generally good coverage since it inflicts huge damages to Dragon-types like Pajantom, Grass-types like Jumbao and Flying-types like Tornadus-Therian. Do note that it has the added benefit of discouring Pokemon like Tomohawk, Zapdos and Cyclohm from trying to punish predicted U-turn with Rocky Helmet or Static, respectively.
- Waterfall has a chance to OHKO Volcarona and hits common threats like Crucibelle-Mega, Heatran and Stratagem, whereas Rock Slide guarantees the OHKO on the former while hitting Gyarados harder than any other given moves. Gunk Shot, on the other hand, OHKOes Jumbao, Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele and 2HKOes Clefable and Tapu Fini, the two latter would switch freely on Greninja otherwise.
- Hidden Power Fire allows you to reliably revenge kill Cawmodore and to threaten Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Scizor-Mega and Kitsunoh, the former in particular would otherwise freely punish the overuse of U-Turn with Iron Barbs. Additonally, it's the best move at Greninja's disposal to damage Shift Gear Magearna. Spikes is also an option since Greninja can set-up these very quickly thanks to its Speed, its especially effective when used in tandem with U-Turn as Greninja's answers can be worn down in the long run. Finally, Low Kick is there if you need a reliable Revenge killer to Dragon Dance Naviathan, and it's your best tool against bulky Pokemon like Assault Vest Colossoil and Kyurem-Black among the listed moves.

========

- 68 EVs in Special Attack guarantees that Hidden Power Fire finishes Cawmodore after Belly Drum and Sitrus Berry recovery. However, they're not needed if you don't pack this move. In this case, 48 EVs is enough to OHKO Necturna after Shell Smash.
- Choice Scarf and maximum Speed allows you to speed tie with other scarfed Greninja and to outspeed every common Pokemon in the metagame bar boosted Weak Armor Aurumoth and Unburden Hawlucha . 252 Attack, 96 Special Attack and 164 Speed is an alternative spread that aims to barely outspeed Choice Scarf Kitsunoh, which is the second fastest common Scarf user behind Greninja itself. Naive is the recommended nature since Greninja is likely to take priorities like Zygarde's Extreme Speed or Cawmodore's Bullet Punch when acting as a revenge killer.
- The remaining EVs are dumped into attack in order hit as hard as possible with U-Turn, which is likely the move you'll click on the most with this Greninja's variant.

Usage Tips
========

The main goal of this Greninja's variant is to revenge kill set-up sweepers and other fast Pokemon in general. Hard switching with Greninja on Pokemon like Shell Smash Necturna or Volcarona is possible but very risky due to its frailty and thus not recommended. You're usually better off bringing Greninja once one of its teamates faints against the aforementionned Pokemon. Most offensive Pokemon are slower and threatened by Greninja, which means that they're likely to switch out when facing it, using U-turn against these allows you to keep momentum.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Greninja has an hard time breaking through most bulk Pokemon like Chansey, Celesteela and Arghonaut. Hence, strong wallbreakers and stallbreakers that can take advanatge of most of these like Substitute Zygarde, Pajantom and Hoopa-Unbound make good partners. Since Greninja is likely to abuse U-Turn, hazard cleaners like Tomohawk and Zapdos are teamates of choice are teamates of choice as Greninja won't have to worry about being worn down each times it needs to get on the field and will benefit from solid defensive backbones to make up for its frailty.

OO should contain a physically oriented Z-Move set with Dig or Low Kick as well as a lead set with Focus Sash

As an aside, the QC team isn't particularly impressed with your analysis so far. Your Choice Scarf set had the questionable mention of Waterfall and your usage tips and team options don't really indicate that you know how Choice Scarf Greninja works.
