Thanks to Prankster, it can use a priority Taunt to prevent Defog and opposing Taunt, thereby keeping up Reflect, Light Screen, and any potential entry hazards. Prankster also prevents setup from sweepers, such as Geomancy from Xerneas, and Dragon Dance from Mega Rayquaza. Thunder Wave allows Grimmsnarl to cripple fast foes such as Zacian-C, which can then be exploited by Grimmsnarl’s teammates. A Bold nature along with maximum EV investment in both HP and Defense allow Grimmsnarl to tank hits better, thereby maximizing the chance that it can set both Reflect and Light Screen.

I'm surprised Spirit Break isn't mentioned at all. It lets Grimmsnarl threaten dark-types (yveltal/arc dark), and even lets it act as an emergency check to Yveltal when combined with Light Screen.
