Gurdurr @ Eviolite
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 44 Atk / 212 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off

Fighting-types are dominating PU right now, and Gurdurr is a great option for one if you're looking for a Pokemon that can blanket check top tier threats such as Kangaskhan, Lycanroc, and Aggron. It benefits from moves like Toxic from Mudsdale and Will-O-Wisp from Jellicent thanks to Guts, though it doesn't appreciate the chip damage. The given EVs even allow Gurdurr to avoid the 2HKO from Stoutland's Return after Stealth Rock damage. While Gurdurr may not have a form of reliable recovery, access to STAB Drain Punch allows it to gain back some HP, which is important given how often it will switch in and out of battle. Gurdurr's ability to set up late-game with Bulk Up and revenge kill with Mach Punch also help it stand out as an offensive threat. Mesprit was a common check for Gurdurr, but it has recently left the tier. Because of this, other checks for it such as Victreebel have been rising in usage, so it's useful to have checks for these Pokemon such as Alolan Sandslash and Choice Scarf Aurorus. Furthermore, Gurdurr's access to Knock Off makes Pokemon like Froslass and Jellicent much less reliable checks. Mesprit also made for a good teammate for Gurdurr with its ability to heal Gurdurr with Healing Wish, so Gurdurr now more appreciates moves like Alolan Persian's Z-Parting Shot after it has been worn down.

Fighting-types are dominating PU right now, and Gurdurr is a great option for one if you're looking for a Pokemon that can blanket check top tier threats such as Kangaskhan, Lycanroc, and Aggron. It doesn't mind benefits from (If the chip damage is significant, then it does mind those moves) moves like Toxic from Mudsdale or and Will-O-Wisp from Jellicent thanks to Guts, albeit though it doesn't appreciate the chip damage. The given EVs even allow Gurdurr to avoid the 2HKO from Stoutland's Return after Stealth Rock damage. While Gurdurr may not have a form of reliable recovery, access to STAB Drain Punch allows it to gain back some HP, which is important given how often it will switch in and out of battle lost from switching in so much (subjective change; phrasing). Gurdurr's also stands as an offensive threat with its ability to set(space)up late-(AH)game with Bulk Up or and revenge kill with Mach Punch also help it stand out as an offensive threat. (subjective change; phrasing) Mesprit was a common check for Gurdurr, but it has recently left the tier. Because of this, other checks for it such as Victreebel have been rising up in usage, so it's useful to have checks for these Pokemon such as Alolan Sandslash and Choice Scarf Aurorus. Furthermore, due to Gurdurr's access to Knock Off, it makes Pokemon like Froslass and Jellicent much less reliable checks. Mesprit also made for a good teammate for Gurdurr with its ability to heal Gurdurr with Healing Wish, so Gurdurr (spelling) now more appreciates moves like Alolan Persian's Z-Parting Shot after its it has been worn down.

With regards to the two subjective changes, I personally prefer how it flows this way, but whether you want to change the phrasing or not is entirely your choice.
