[OVERVIEW]
Guzzlord's ridiculously high HP and excellent defensive typing make it a standout tank capable of checking a wide variety of special attackers from Heliolisk to Charizard. That alone would give it a powerful niche, but Guzzlord also sports massive coverage and respectable Attack and Special Attack. This turns its Choice Band set into an extremely capable wallbreaker further enhanced by the added utility of Knock Off, while even its Assault Vest set has extremely respectable damage output. Guzzlord also has access to a powerful Heavy Slam to punish Fairy- and Ice-types and enough bulk to tank some powerful super effective hits such as Whimsicott's Moonblast. However, Guzzlord's extremely poor Speed and the prevalence of Fighting-types and U-turn users, as well as Guzzlord's lack of any reliable recovery, hold it back from being truly dominant or fitting well onto more offensive teams.

move 2: Heavy Slam
move 3: Outrage
move 4: Heat Crash
item: Choice Band
ability: Beast Boost
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Heavy Slam punishes Fairy-types that may try to switch in on Guzzlord like Whimsicott and Aromatisse. Outrage is useful for getting past Fighting- and Dark-types that resist Knock Off like Scrafty and Alolan Persian, although it is by far Guzzlord's riskiest move to lock itself into. Heat Crash allows it to hit Steel-types like Silvally-Steel and Alolan Sandslash for more damage. Psychic- and Ghost-types like Mesprit and Rotom appreciate Guzzlord's ability to check Ghost-types, and, in return, they help with Fighting-types like Hitmonlee and Virizion. Mesprit also has Healing Wish to heal Guzzlord and can grant it good breaking opportunities with U-turn. Guzzlord's wallbreaking abilities pair well with physical sweepers and cleaners such as Kingler, Sneasel, and Choice Scarf Passimian. Solid Fairy-type checks such as Silvally-Steel are also recommended.

[SET]
name: Assault Vest
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Heavy Slam
move 3: Drain Punch
move 4: Dragon Tail / Draco Meteor
item: Assault Vest
ability: Beast Boost
nature: Careful
evs: 192 Atk / 252 SpD / 64 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Guzzlord's high HP combined with Assault Vest allows it to sponge special attacks from Pokemon like Magmortar and Heliolisk while also surviving super effective attacks such as Moonblast from Whimsicott and Blizzard from Vanilluxe. Drain Punch allows Guzzlord to hit Steel- and Ice-types like Silvally-Steel and Togedemaru while providing slight recovery. Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor are interchangeable; while the former phazes setup sweepers like Shell Smash Carracosta and Swords Dance Scyther and pairs nicely with Knock Off and entry hazards, while the latter is useful for punishing physical walls such as Sandaconda. If running Draco Meteor, Guzzlord can forego any Speed investment and opt for a Sassy nature to avoid reducing damage output. 64 Speed EVs creep defensive Regirock and Druddigon, among others. Wish support Pokemon like Vaporeon and Aromatisse are appreciated to increase Guzzlord's longevity, although they can struggle to heal much due to Guzzlord's titanic HP. Fairy-types like Silvally-Fairy and Whimsicott help with Fighting-types like Virizion and Passimian, and Steel-types like Silvally-Steel, Aggron, and Alolan Sandslash help with Bug- and Fairy-types like Ribombee, Scyther, and Silvally-Fairy. Guzzlord's ability to spread Knock Off and remove Heavy-Duty Boots makes it an ideal partner for Stealth Rock and Spikes users such as Regirock and Garbodor. Guzzlord is effective at crippling defensive cores by removing items, forcing recovery moves, and phazing switch-ins, which can be particularly devastating when paired strong wallbreakers such as Gallade and Tsareena.

Guzzlord's high HP and overall bulk along with its unique Dark / Dragon typing allows it to sponge attacks from Pokemon like Heliolisk, Roserade, and Charizard while also resisting a number of types like Dark, Electric, and Ghost in the process rephrase this or split into two points. It can be ran offensively with Choice Band or defensively with Assault Vest. Guzzlord typing makes it 2x weak to Fairy-types but thanks to Heavy Slam, its able to effectively hit Pokemon like Aromatisse and Ribombee I'd rephrase this to be more clear. Other Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Drampa outclasses Guzzlord as a Choice Specs user how? which is why physical Guzzlord is more preferred. add smth on guzzlord's coverage besides that it can hit fairies. what kind of teams does guzzlord tend to fit on?

Choice Band accompanied with Beast Boost allows Guzzlord to become a powerful wallbreaker and potential sweeper. Knock Off is Guzzlord's primary Dark-type STAB move and has the utility of getting rid of items from Pokemon reword this so it's not just fluff. Heavy Slam hits incoming Fairy-types that may try to switch-in on Guzzlord like Whimsicott and Silvally-Fairy. Outrage is Guzzlord's most powerful physical Dragon-type STAB move and is best used when Fairy- and Steel-types Ribombee and Aggron are dead. add some examples of pokemon outrage is needed to break past Heat Crash allows it to hit Steel-types like Mawile and Alolan Sandslash for more damage. The listed EVs maximizes Guzzlord's wallbreaking potential with an Adamant nature while also outspeeding Pokemon like Weezing and Lanturn in the process.

Guzzlord's high HP combined with Assault Vest allows it to sponge special attacks like? while also boosting its Attack for every KO it performs thanks to Beast Boost. Knock Off has the utility of removing items like Leftovers and Heavy-Duty Boots and serves as Guzzlord's primary Dark-type STAB move. Heavy Slam helps with Fairy-type Pokemon that may tend on switching into Guzzlord like Carbink or Whimiscott id prefer an example besides carbink but it's prob fine. Drain Punch allows Guzzlord to have recovery while damaing Steel- and Ice-types like Alolan Sandslash and Silvally-Steel for effective damage why is it better than fire blast/heat crash. Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor is interchangeable while the first phazes setup sweepers like Shell Smash Carracosta and Swords Dance Scyther and the latter having the merit of not having negative priority. add merits of draco With 252 EVs in SpD alongside a Careful nature, Guzzlord can survive special attacks better like Moonblast Whimsicott and Ice Beam Frosmoth this can prob be phrased better since it should be doing this rarely, 64 Spe Evs creeps Pokemon with a base 50 Speed like?, and the rest are dumped into Attack to increase its damage output.

both sections should include some teammates that help with the outlined drawbacks of using guzz

Guzzlord's high HP along with its unique Dark / Dragon typing allows it to sponge attacks from Pokemon like Heliolisk and Charizard while also resisting a number of types such as Dark, Electric, and Ghost in the process. (the reader knows what types it resists, just list more mons or remove)It can be ran offensively with Choice Band or defensively with Assault Vest. Guzzlord tends to run Heavy Slam to hit Fairy-types like Whimiscott and Aromatisse because of its 2x weaknesses making it suspectible to Fairy-type moves. (rephrase this to something like "fairies like x and y scare it, but it can threaten them with Heavy Slam", since otherwise it seems more like you're explaining why it runs heavy slam rather than that it hates fairies.)(also mention that fairy is common coverage on mons like mesprit)Other Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Drampa outclasses Guzzlord as a Choice Specs user as they have a higher Special Attack than Guzzlord which is why a physical variant is preferred. Knock Off allows Guzzlord to make permanent progress by removing items throughout the match, Heat Crash and Drain Punch hits Steel-types, and Outrage and Dragon Tail are used once Fairy- and Steel-types are eliminated. (the moves are all stuff you'd talk about in the set details, shorten to just say it has good coverage options like x and y)Guzzlord fits more on balanced teams as its Speed makes it feels out of place on more offensive teams.

Choice Band accompanied with Beast Boost allows Guzzlord to become a powerful wallbreaker. Guzzlord's high HP combined with Assault Vest allows it to sponge special attacks like Ice Beam from Jynx and a Moonblast from Whimsicott. (I wouldnt say thats the main point of this set. the main point is to better check the special attackers its typing already lets it beat like Magmortar and Heliolisk, mention that first. you can still mention that this set can live stuff like whimsicott's moonblast, but it usually wouldnt want to take the hit unless need be)Knock Off has the utility of removing items like Leftovers and Heavy-Duty Boots and serves as Guzzlord's primary Dark-type STAB move. (again common knowledge, remove)Heavy Slam helps with Fairy-type Pokemon like Ribombee and Whimiscott. (already explained this in choice band, remove)Drain Punch allows Guzzlord to hit Steel- and Ice-types like Alolan Sandslash and Silvally-Steel and is better than Fire Blast and Heat Crash because it expands its chances of staying alive. Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor are interchangeable while the first phases setup sweepers like Shell Smash Carracosta and Swords Dance Scyther and the latter hitting defensive Pokemon like Quagsire and Sandaconda. Wish support Pokemon like Vaporeon and Aromatisse are appreciated to elongate its longevity, Fairy-types like Silvally-Fairy and Whimsicott helps with Fighting-types like Virizion and Passimian, and Steel-types like Silvally-Steel, Aggron, and Alolan Sandslash helps with Bug-and Fairy-types like Ribombee, Scyther, and Silvally-Fairy. Ok this is far from usual practice but despite being at 2/2 and ready for upload the PU C&C moderation team has serious concerns about how low the quality of the analysis is. This is just not at the point where we'd feel right uploading it. We are definitely talking about why it got to this completed stage at the current level of quality, but as for what happens to this analysis I am going to be taking it over. I will be using what's already here and doing some significant rewrites, getting gum to do another once-over, and sending it back to GP.

Guzzlord's ridiculously high HP and excellent defensive typing make it a standout tank capable of checking a wide variety of special attackers from Heliolisk to Charizard. That alone would give it a powerful niche but Guzzlord also sports massive coverage and respectable attack and special attack. This turns its Choice Band set into an extremely capable wallbreaker further enhanced by the added utility of Knock Off while even its Assault Vest set has extremely respectable damage output. Guzzlord faces some competition from stronger Choice Specs Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor and Drampa but practically nothing can match its unique defensive utility. (idt this specs dragons part is rlly worth mentioning, it's not even a set) Guzzlord also has access to a powerful Heavy Slam to punish Fairy- and Ice-types and enough bulk to tank some powerful super effective hits such as Whimsicott's Moonblast. However, Guzzlord's extremely poor Speed and the prevalence of Fighting-types and U-turn users, as well as Guzzlord's lack of any reliable recovery, hold it back from being truly dominant or fitting well onto more offensive teams.

Heavy Slam punishes Fairy- and Ice-types that may try to switch in on Guzzlord like Whimsicott and Aurorus. (aurorus seems like a weird example? band koff does a ton. i'd just keep it to fairies and also mention aromatisse) Outrage is useful for getting past Fighting- and Dark-types that resist Knock Off like Scrafty and Alolan Persian although it is by far Guzzlord's riskiest move to lock itself into. Heat Crash allows it to hit Steel-types like Silvally-Steel and Alolan Sandslash for more damage. Psychic-types like Mesprit and Xatu appreciate Guzzlord's ability to check Ghost-types and, in return, they help with Fighting-types like Hitmonlee and Virizion. (xatu doesnt really help w either tbh) Mesprit also has Healing Wish to heal Guzzlord, which is better than Wish from Pokemon like Vaporeon and Aromatisse due to Guzzlord's high HP causing it to not recover much. (would much rather have u mention how mes can always further support it w u-turn and rocks) Guzzlord's wallbreaking abilities pair well with physical sweepers and cleaners such as Kingler, Sneasel, and Choice Scarf Passimian. Solid Fairy-type checks such as Silvally-Steel are also recommended.

Drain Punch allows Guzzlord to hit Steel- and Ice-types like Silvally-Steel Togedemaru (u already mention steelvally earlier) and Alolan Sandslash while providing slight recovery. Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor are interchangeable; while the first phazes setup sweepers like Shell Smash Carracosta and Swords Dance Scyther and pairs nicely with Knock Off and entry hazards, the latter is useful for punishing physical walls such as Sandaconda. If running Draco Meteor, Guzzlord can forego any Speed investment and opt for a Sassy nature to avoid reducing damage output. Guzzlord benefits much more from Special Defense EVs than HP EVs because of its giant HP, low Special Defense, and Assault Vest. (is this really worth mentioning? this is already p long and this doesnt seem too important) 64 Speed EVs creep defensive Regirock and Druddigon among others. Wish support Pokemon like Vaporeon and Aromatisse are appreciated to increase Guzzlord's longevity, although they can struggle to heal much due to Guzzlord's titanic HP. Guzzlord's ability to spread Knock Off and remove Heavy-Duty Boots make it an ideal partner for Stealth Rock and Spikes users such as Regirock and Garbodor. Guzzlord is also good at forcing in defensive Pokemon, either with the threat of a powerful Knock Off or Draco Meteor or via Dragon Tail. This can provide good opportunities for strong wallbreakers such as Gallade and Tsareena to force KOs. (not quite sure how this corelates)
