In the far east of Kalos, Anistar City counts hours. The city is adorned with a beautiful sundial that helps measuring the passage of time. The Psychic Gym is near... but it's already in use, so the sundial will watch over the battle instead! A fair warning: time flows a bit differently around those parts...

Effects:
  • Future Sight distorts reality and tears holes into the fabric of time. The move is resolved the turn it is used, hits at priority -6, and has its BAP cut to 4, but it forces the opponent to switch if it successfully hits
  • The sundial mercilessly hinders those who could use vile tricks, giving the victims some respite. Knock Off's effect only takes place at the end of the round it is used. The target is considered unencumbered for the remainder of the round, if applicable, though it still beneficies from its item
  • Evolution from time immemorial does not escape the sundial's dutiful watch, and time will not desecrate them. Aerilate, Galvanize, Pixilate and Refrigerate become #Trait Abilities

Magnolia was the first to wake me up... as a Ralts again. Quite flustered herself, she explained that we somehow managed to slip through a space-time rift and end up in an alternate dimension where she and the others never evolved. Understandably, she was pissed at here renewd weakness -something she thought a thing of the past. However, she chose to set out one again with me and gain that power back.
Due to her past experience, it was but a formality to get back to her regular power level, though she claims wavering patterns in lunar energy keep her from accessing her true power. We'll see about that, because I have a feeling our quest is far from over...

Man, was it a weird day when Yew joined the team. Magnolia was looking into the horizon, calm and ready, then we all saw a silhouette against the morning sun. It was Yew, tired but revitalized as soon as he saw the Gardevoir that was ready to welcome him. He then pledged his loyalty to Magnolia and me, without hesitation, and then fell right at our feet, unconscious. Talk about a memorable first contact.
After nursing it back to health, we came to realize Yew was a rather subdued fellow, which is uncommon for a Gallade, but otherwise rather pleasant to have around. He becomes ardent in battle, though, and won't hesitate to crush you if you represent the slightest menace. And then apologize profusely aftewards.

See, that's one of the new souls I came across when exploring Galar. A Beldum is rare enough, but a shiny one is just icing on the cake. However, that was only part of the appeal. You see, when we came face to face around an alley (what was she doing here in the first place?), she just... stood there. Not really afraid, just curious. And analytic. Actually, being analytic is one of the core aspects of both her personality and battle style. Her immense brain power allows her to accurately calculate the possibilities of a battle at a given time, thus projecting a bit into the future. However, she still has trouble to account for an opponent's odd behavior, leading to miscalculations.
She also doesn't speak that often. Usually, it's only a few words to give her opinion on the situation at hand. It seems like she's actually afraid to open up to people and mingle with the team. Oh, well. Hopefully that'll get better with time!

  • I stipulated "pushing back" in my Substitution, which means that Stealth Rock gets pushed back to a3.

I seem to be terrible at finding a way to smoothly end narration so let's pretend I said something witty and move on!

After looking up at the towering Soap, Rachel quickly camouflages into their (her?) enviroment to prevent themself from being seen. Soap tries to get them out by firing some lightning, until they notice rocks being flung around. Realizing they've been found, Rachel tries to stay alive by asking Soap to share some of their (Rachel's) pain, to which Soap politely refuses, but Rachel does it anyway because sharing is caring. Well, maybe not in this case.

Post-Round
Starmie's Sp. Attack stat decayed closer to 0!

Rachel finally shakes off the bugs, but when she looks up again, she finds Victor as her opponent- and they're (he's?) charging their horns straight at her! The start fighting, and when Rachel pauses for a moment to catch her breath, and Victor, thinking she's showing signs of weakness, lunges at her. Rachel, however, was prepared for this, and when Victor comes close she smear his wounds with salt, and they fall in pain! Victor's not out of the fight just yet, but it doesn't seem he can last much longer. On the other hand, while Rachel has the HP adavantage, it's not by much, and with that low EN, it's still anyone's game.
