The defensive EVs and item allow Appletun to survive attacks from Choice Band non-Unnerve Haxorus and Choice Specs Hydreigon so it can OHKO back with Draco Meteor. Sucker Punch allows Appletun to beat weakened threats like Crustle and Haban Berry Dragapult, which would otherwise finish it off after surviving its Draco Meteor.

Appletun mainly struggles against offensive threats that have super effective STAB attacks like Galarian Darmanitan, Sylveon, and Togekiss. Good teammates that can beat those threats for it are Steelix and Arcanine, while Appletun in return beats Water-types like Gastrodon and Rotom-W. Appletun also has trouble against specific defensive checks that do not mind Apple Acid, such as Corviknight, Snarl Mandibuzz, and Amnesia Galarian Corsola. Teammates like Dracozolt and Choice Specs Rotom-H with Trick can deal with those, and in return, Appletun handles Dragon-types like Choice Scarf Dracovish, opposing Dracozolt, Dragapult, and Hydreigon.

Alakazam There wasn’t too much I could say about home’s release but I replaced Stonjourner (who just got unranked) with Incineroar for teammates. In general though, this set will become a little better when the DLC comes out (since chomper and some other dragons will be around).

Sucker Punch allows Appletun to beat weakened threats like Crustle and Haban Berry Dragapult which would otherwise finish it off after surviving its Draco Meteor.

Appletun struggles against Pokemon that can wall it out such as Corviknight and Snarl Mandibuzz, and offensive threats that have super effective attacks like Darmanitan-G, Sylveon, and Togekiss. Good teammates that can help Appletun with some of its bad matchups are Steelix, Arcanine, and Incineroar these all have bad matchups versus some of the mons listed earlier, i would split stall and offense up into two different categories to make it easier. because they can handle its checks while Appletun in return beats threats like Hydreigon, Dracovish and Water types like Gastrodon and Rotom-W. overall split this line into a stall category and a super effective mons category, since it seems that the teammates can't seem to cover all of the threats listed.
